00:00:30Since the splitting of the atom only a few decades ago, and through his God-given genius of science,
00:00:37man, at last, has succeeded in penetrating further and further into the unknown vastness of space.
00:00:44The moon has become the launching base for advanced exploration.
00:00:48From this pivotal point, astronauts, at the risk of their lives, set out to conquer nature's mysterious forces.
00:00:56Yet many questions remained unanswered.
00:01:00What is his Earth in relation to the inconceivable number of other worlds?
00:01:05Is his speed truly the fastest? His achievements the greatest?
00:01:10Or is he a mere unimportant piece of driftwood floating in the vast ocean of the universe?
00:01:17Could there be life similar to our own on other planets?
00:01:21Is it not possible that atmospheric conditions of relative environments control their shapes and forms?
00:01:29If so, would they be giants?
00:01:32Or could perhaps the opposite be true?
00:01:36Could their intellect have reached a scientific level far above man's dreams?
00:01:42What, then, will the future reveal if this story you are about to witness is only the beginning?
00:02:05Log entry, Pegasus 3, March 16th, 1980.
00:02:12Captain Leonard Pilot, Lieutenant Webb Navigator.
00:02:15This is the seventh and last day of space reconnaissance research, Flight 361, from United States Air Force Lunar Base
00:02:221.
00:02:24We are 21,000 miles from base, bearing at 270 degrees, 2-3 minutes.
00:02:33Azimuth at plus 46 degrees, 4-6 degrees, 5-0 minutes, ecliptic.
00:02:43On routine successive approximation, by trajectory computer, using data from the space position recorder.
00:02:53It's quiet and lonely out here.
00:02:55And frankly, we'll be happy to get back to that dreary old moon.
00:03:05We're almost a degree off trajectory, Captain.
00:03:08Equipment check's okay.
00:03:09Must be an outside acceleration force.
00:03:18Something approaching fast.
00:03:20I'm setting up auto-evasive pattern.
00:03:23A large planetoid object is on a direct collision course with us.
00:03:28We are under 11 G's exterior acceleration and have no control whatsoever.
00:03:46Jump!
00:03:48We're gonna hit!
00:03:49We're gonna hit!
00:03:52We're gonna hit!
00:04:16Let's go!

00:10:20Even 1400 Stunden.
00:10:22Das ist doch alles, was wir tun können.
00:10:24Wieso?
00:10:26Warum?
00:10:28Ich habe eine Idee.
00:10:302, 7, 8-degrees-Azimuth.
00:10:334, 47-degrees-Azimuth.
00:10:35Ja, Herr.
00:10:372, 7, 8-degrees-Azimuth.
00:10:394, 7-degrees-Azimuth.
00:10:57Wir gehen.
00:11:20Wir gehen.
00:11:22Wir gehen.
00:11:30Wir gehen.
00:11:40Wir gehen.
00:11:42Wir gehen.
00:11:45Wir gehen.
00:11:46Wir gehen.
00:11:52W
00:11:53Wir gehen.
00:12:00Wir gehen.
00:12:02Wir gehen.
00:13:42Ja.
00:13:45Okay, Ray, wir müssen ein B-drehen.
00:13:47Hecht?
00:13:49Cabin Pressure?
00:13:50Twenty coming up.
00:13:52Petro Port?
00:13:55Positive.
00:13:56Petro Starboard?
00:13:58Positive.
00:13:59Main Circuit One?
00:14:03Negative.
00:14:05Main Two?
00:14:08Negative.
00:14:10Let's try the Auxiliaries.
00:14:13Main One?
00:14:15Negative.
00:14:17Main Two.
00:14:23That's not in the circuits.
00:14:25The meteors must have smacked into the propulsion elements.
00:14:28Our feed lines.
00:14:29Yeah, we're lucky.
00:14:31Well, there's only one way to find out.
00:14:34Looks like it.
00:14:42There's one thing sure.
00:14:44What's that?
00:14:45They knew what they were doing when they forced us to go through those space drills dozens of times.
00:14:48If I remember correctly, you had a different opinion.
00:14:52Okay, don't rub it in.
00:15:01There's no way to find out.
00:15:05I'm not sure.
00:15:08I'm not sure.
00:15:10I'm not sure.
00:15:12I'm not sure.
00:15:13You're not sure.
00:15:18I'm not sure.
00:15:22Do you know what they were going through the weather 갖' house?
00:15:27OK, hey.
00:15:31Here we go.
00:15:35There's no pressure.
00:15:39Here we go.
00:15:44Don't rub it in.
00:15:48There's no pressure.
00:16:18Untertitelung. BR 2018
00:16:30This looks like it. The retro rocket feed lines must be cut.
00:16:55Frank, your airline's broken. Frank!
00:16:58The new plane is on the other end.
00:17:06I'm sure you can do it.
00:17:07I'm sure you should do it.
00:17:07We are going to carry a little bit.
00:17:07We're going to carry a little bit.
00:17:10What is the next?
00:17:10I think the next one is to be ready.
00:17:11What is the next?
00:17:12I'm not sure if I can do it.
00:17:17It's not clear.
00:17:46Untertitelung des ZDF, 2020
00:17:49Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.
00:18:01With all respect to the colonel, sir, I don't think it's in use.
00:18:05Keep working that radar and keep working it until we locate Chapman.
00:18:09Yes, sir.
00:18:10He's got to be out there somewhere.
00:18:12He just has to be.
00:18:18He's got to be.
00:18:45Ray?
00:18:49Ray?
00:18:51Ray?
00:18:56Lieutenant McConnell.
00:19:10Oh, no.
00:19:13Oh, no.
00:19:32This is Captain Frank Chapman, pilot of Pegasus IV.
00:19:37My ship is being drawn toward an asteroid.
00:19:42Instrument's completely out of operation.
00:19:45Navigator McConaughey.
00:19:47Lost.
00:19:49I cannot read my position.
00:19:52I'm going to try to land.
00:19:54I don't think I'll make it.
00:19:55If I do, I'll continue recording.
00:20:00If I do, I'll continue recording.
00:20:26After all, I'll continue recording.
00:20:35What?
00:20:44Let's do it.
00:20:47Whoa.

00:27:36Ich bin hier, in front of unsere Leader und unsere Judge.
00:28:08Chapman. Frank Chapman.
00:28:26Aber hier, Raytan...
00:28:28Raitan?
00:28:30Ja, Raitan.
00:28:32Der Name ist unser Planet.
00:28:34Hier können wir alle Sprachen durch die Tone-Wave.
00:28:39Warum all diese Explanations?
00:28:42Lass uns mit den Chargen gehen.
00:28:44Das stimmt, Herron.
00:28:45Es gibt keine Zeit für Explanations.
00:28:48Man von Earth,
00:28:50Sie sind verabschiedet,
00:28:51zu einer von einem anderen Menschen.
00:28:55Ich wusste, dass ich mich verabschiedet habe.
00:28:59Ich wollte nicht in deinem Welt kommen.
00:29:02Ich habe mich verabschiedet.
00:29:04Ich habe mich verabschiedet.
00:29:10Du warst,
00:29:11als du in unsere Reise gegangen bist.
00:29:14Reise gegangen bist.
00:29:18Phantom Planet.
00:29:20Wir verabschieden,
00:29:21nur in der Zeit,
00:29:22zu kontrollieren,
00:29:24durch die Pressure in unsere Space Warp.
00:29:27Ich verstehe.
00:29:29Es gibt viele Dinge,
00:29:30du wirst nicht verstehen.
00:29:33Vielleicht in der Zeit, du wirst.
00:29:36In der Zeit?
00:29:37Das stimmt.
00:29:39Der Jury wird jetzt wählen,
00:29:41und finden Sie,
00:29:42oder nicht,
00:29:43für inflechtliche Angelegenheit
00:29:45auf ein Raitan Mann.
00:30:02Die Verdopferung.
00:30:05Die Verdopferung,
00:30:06der Jury werden.
00:30:06Die Verdopferung geht.
00:30:12Das ist ein Radar,
00:30:14Ich verabschiede,
00:30:15als gerecht.
00:30:16You are now a free subject of Raytan.
00:30:20The jury is dismissed.
00:30:23That is all.
00:30:25You are now a free subject of Raytan.
00:30:28That is not all.
00:30:30Listen, I don't know what kind of a place this is,
00:30:32but you must have some kind of law here.
00:30:34This planet pulled me to it.
00:30:35I didn't come here by choice.
00:30:37But being here, you cannot be permitted to leave.
00:30:42We must keep our security at any cost.
00:30:46So, I must pronounce you guilty.
00:30:50No penalties will be lodged against you.
00:30:54But you must become a subject of Raytan.
00:31:00Trial is concluded.
00:31:02Nothing is concluded.
00:31:03What is this?
00:31:04First I'm found guilty of something that's not my fault,
00:31:06and then I'm set free.
00:31:08Well, free to go where?
00:31:09Back to my world six inches tall?
00:31:11Don't worry.
00:31:12No harm will come to you.
00:31:16I'm Liara, Sessom's daughter.
00:31:19I'll show you to your quarters.
00:31:21Come.
00:31:22We'll talk on the way.
00:31:31What has happened to me?
00:31:33You mean your size?
00:31:35Our atmosphere, together with some acceleration
00:31:38from our gravitational control,
00:31:40has reduced you to normal.
00:31:41Normal?
00:31:42Normal for us.
00:31:43You see, everything here is in proportion
00:31:45to our planet's size.
00:31:47We know several worlds
00:31:49that have creatures larger or smaller
00:31:51according to the size of their world.
00:31:54Do you feel any different?
00:31:55No, but it's not exactly funny
00:31:57to think that someone on Earth
00:31:58could care me about in their pocket.
00:32:00Oh, that would never happen.
00:32:02The oxygen in your atmosphere
00:32:04would restore you immediately
00:32:05to your regular size.
00:32:07But either way, it wouldn't matter.
00:32:10You'll never see your world again.
00:32:22Nothing yet?
00:32:23No, sir.
00:32:24No contact for two days.
00:32:27I'll wait another 24 hours.
00:32:29Then, with or without orders,
00:32:30I'm sending out a search party.
00:32:36You wanted to see me?
00:32:38Yes.
00:32:40Will you excuse me?
00:32:46We must talk about your future.
00:32:49Your future on Rayton.
00:32:51My future on Rayton?
00:32:52I want to talk about getting back to my world.
00:32:55Back to Earth.
00:32:56I'm afraid that is impossible.
00:32:59You might as well accept your fate.
00:33:02Your fate of being one of us.
00:33:04Being one of us,
00:33:05you must be productive
00:33:07in one way or another.
00:33:09Well, what is it you want me to do?
00:33:11You must help us to keep spaceships
00:33:12from your world from landing here.
00:33:15But that's my only hope of getting back.
00:33:18Forget about it.
00:33:20Two ships in my unit disappeared.
00:33:23Did they crash here?
00:33:25Unfortunately, yes.
00:33:26They were pulled into our
00:33:28strong gravitational field.
00:33:30Well, so was I.
00:33:31Yes, but luckily,
00:33:33we were aware of your approach
00:33:34and lowered the power
00:33:36on our gravity field.
00:33:38I don't get it.
00:33:39In many ways,
00:33:40you're hundreds of years
00:33:41ahead of our science.
00:33:43Yet you live in such a primitive manner.
00:33:46It may not be as odd
00:33:48as it seems.
00:33:50It's true that our technology
00:33:52may be much further advanced
00:33:54than yours,
00:33:55but then,
00:33:56strange thing happened.
00:33:57What was that?
00:33:59We had machines
00:34:00to do all our work.
00:34:01People on Rétan
00:34:02became completely free
00:34:04of all labor,
00:34:06practically of all responsibilities.
00:34:09Our people became
00:34:10soft and lazy.
00:34:12They did not know
00:34:13how to cope
00:34:14with their free time.
00:34:15They started to fight
00:34:17amongst themselves.
00:34:18That's very interesting.
00:34:20Many people on Earth
00:34:21are beginning to face
00:34:22the same problem.
00:34:23Too much free time,
00:34:25too little work.
00:34:27Problem not at all unique
00:34:29in the history
00:34:30of the universe.
00:34:31Well, what happened
00:34:32on Rétan?
00:34:33Our forefathers
00:34:34then made a wise decision.
00:34:37They returned to,
00:34:38as you say,
00:34:39our primitive ways.
00:34:41the Rétans again
00:34:43had to toil
00:34:44for their living.
00:34:45They became much stronger,
00:34:48much happier,
00:34:50much more valuable.
00:34:51But you didn't forsake
00:34:53all of your
00:34:53scientific achievements.
00:34:54No, we retained
00:34:56the secret
00:34:56of the gravity control
00:34:58for our survival
00:34:59in space
00:35:00and the secret
00:35:01of our food production
00:35:03for our survival
00:35:04on this barren planet.
00:35:06You sacrificed
00:35:07advancement for this.
00:35:10Sessom rules us
00:35:11and we are contempt.
00:35:13Now, can't we get
00:35:14on with this, Sessom?
00:35:16Erin is hasty.
00:35:18We all are.
00:35:20Our lives have been
00:35:21changed so much.
00:35:23I would like you
00:35:24to become acquainted
00:35:25with our ways.
00:35:28Later, you may choose
00:35:29a wife.
00:35:31Liara.
00:35:32Or Zeta.
00:35:33Zeta cannot speak,
00:35:35but she is a fine woman.
00:35:37Well, between the
00:35:39two, it would be
00:35:39difficult to make
00:35:40a choice.
00:35:42It is no problem.
00:35:44You may take your time,
00:35:46but once you've made
00:35:47your choice, remember,
00:35:50it must not be taken lightly.
00:35:53You must be hungry.
00:35:55Come with me.
00:35:57Liara.
00:35:58Go now
00:35:59and learn our ways.
00:36:01and perhaps you may help us
00:36:03with our problems.
00:36:04You can decide about this later.
00:36:06Now you need to eat
00:36:08and rest.
00:36:09Let's go.
00:36:25This is good.
00:36:27What is it?
00:36:28Well, I think it's the equivalent
00:36:29of your breadfruit.
00:36:31We made it chemically for you
00:36:32since nothing grows here
00:36:34on this planet.
00:36:35Oh, here.
00:36:36Drink this.
00:36:37It's good for you
00:36:38and it'll help
00:36:39to make you rest.
00:36:40You need it.
00:36:41You say nothing grows here?
00:36:43Then how do you exist?
00:36:45Well, our bodies
00:36:46are so constructed
00:36:47that we need
00:36:48very little food
00:36:49because of the air
00:36:50we breathe.
00:36:53You feel better now?
00:36:56I hope so.
00:36:58Yes.
00:36:59But I'd like
00:37:00to get out of here.
00:37:02You're a strange one,
00:37:04Frank Chapman.
00:37:05I'm a strange one.
00:37:08What about everybody else?
00:37:10And don't call me
00:37:11Frank Chapman.
00:37:12My name is Frank Chapman.
00:37:15Two words.
00:37:17Yes.
00:37:19Frank.
00:37:20Chapman.
00:37:21No, I'm sorry.
00:37:22I didn't mean
00:37:23to be so rough.
00:37:24It's just that
00:37:24this is so new to me.
00:37:27You know what I'd like
00:37:28to do if I had a choice?
00:37:29What?
00:37:30I'd like to return
00:37:31to my ship.
00:37:33Well, that's impossible.
00:37:35Then you see,
00:37:36I'm still a prisoner.
00:37:37Not at all.
00:37:38You're free to go
00:37:39anywhere here on Rayton.
00:37:42Except to my ship.
00:37:44Your rocket is no longer
00:37:45on this planet.
00:37:47It was sent off
00:37:49last night
00:37:49while you were sleeping.
00:38:00I cannot read
00:38:01my position.
00:38:02I'm going to try to land.
00:38:05I don't think
00:38:05I'll make it.
00:38:07If I do,
00:38:08I'll continue recording.
00:38:10this is Captain Frank Chapman,
00:38:13pilot,
00:38:14Pegasus IV.
00:38:15My ship is being drawn
00:38:17toward an asteroid.
00:38:19Instrument's completely
00:38:19out of operation.
00:38:22Navigator McConaughey,
00:38:24lost.
00:38:33Sir, unidentified object
00:38:35on screen.
00:38:39This must be
00:38:40Chapman's ship, Colonel.
00:38:41Certainly has all
00:38:42the indications
00:38:42and all the characteristics
00:38:44of a spaceship.
00:38:45And no other unit of ours
00:38:46is scheduled for flight
00:38:47in this area.
00:38:48Any contact?
00:38:49None, Colonel.
00:38:50Just static.
00:38:51His auto emergency
00:38:52transmitter should be
00:38:53on full blast.
00:38:55I'm tuned to all
00:38:56Pegasus frequencies, sir.
00:38:57So are the automatic
00:38:58relays on Earth.
00:38:59Good.
00:39:00This must be Chapman's ship.
00:39:02What else can it be?
00:39:03Captain Beecher
00:39:03and Lieutenant White
00:39:04are to report
00:39:05to the briefing room
00:39:05immediately
00:39:06and stand by
00:39:06for takeoff.
00:39:08Now report immediately
00:39:09any news
00:39:09or anything unusual
00:39:10on your radio
00:39:11and radar relays?
00:39:12Yes, Colonel.
00:39:20The rescue ship
00:39:21is in the countdown phase,
00:39:22sir.
00:39:22They're waiting
00:39:23for your final
00:39:23operation orders.
00:39:26Put me through
00:39:27to the captain
00:39:27of the rescue ship
00:39:28on launching.
00:39:29Yes, sir.
00:39:32Beecher,
00:39:32this is Lancefield.
00:39:34Yes, Colonel.
00:39:36Beecher,
00:39:36your final instructions
00:39:37are being teletyped
00:39:38on your recorders.
00:39:40Yes, sir.
00:39:41As you know,
00:39:41something unusual
00:39:42must have happened
00:39:43to Chapman and McCona.
00:39:45And I don't mind
00:39:46telling you
00:39:47that it's of greatest
00:39:47importance to space travel
00:39:49and we find out
00:39:50exactly what happened
00:39:51to these two men.
00:39:52So blast off
00:39:53and good luck.
00:39:55We'll do our best, Colonel.
00:40:14and good luck.
00:40:25I love you.
00:40:34You're welcome.
00:40:34I love you.
00:40:35Thank you.
00:40:35Thank you.
00:40:47Musik
00:41:24I cannot read my position. I'm going to try to land. I don't think I'll make it. If I do,
00:41:33I'll continue recording.
00:41:37This is Captain Frank Chapman. Pilot, Pegasus IV. Our ship is being drawn toward an asteroid. Instrument's completely out of
00:41:46operation. Navigator McConaughey. Lost.
00:41:55Pegasus IV to Lunar Base One. Pegasus IV to Lunar Base One. This is Captain Beecher. Over.
00:42:01Lunar Base One to Pegasus IV. We read you, Captain Beecher. Good work. Stand by for Colonel Lansfield.
00:42:08Beecher, how are they? They're not. I mean, there's no one on board. There isn't a sign of life.
00:42:15Two men just don't get up and walk off a rocket in the middle of space? No, sir. Then what
00:42:21the devil?
00:42:22Chapman recorded a final message, sir, but it doesn't make sense. Our rep role units are picking it up. We're
00:42:29examining it. Can you bring her in?
00:42:32I'll have to check out the instruments, but I think so. All right. Give it a try. White can bring
00:42:37your ship in.
00:42:38Yes, sir. And Beecher. Yes, sir. Good luck.
00:42:57I can't work under these conditions. I must know more about the directional flight machine.
00:43:04When the time comes. Well, the time has come. I want to speak to Sessen. And right now.
00:43:12Very well.
00:43:27Father, Frank Chapman wishes to speak with you. Do you want to talk about Liara? That isn't what I came
00:43:34here to discuss.
00:43:35Now, work has reached the stage and I need to know more about your gravity control.
00:43:42It's too soon. Now, how do we know he's not a spy for the Solar Rites?
00:43:47You're too distrusting, Heron.
00:43:50All right. You may see it.
00:44:12It's incredible. But how? The high density of our planet made it possible for us to advance gravity and, therefore,
00:44:22antigravity theories.
00:44:24It's beyond me. Einstein was working on this problem, but he died before he could complete his investigations. What causes
00:44:32Rayton's high density?
00:44:33The atoms on this planet have narrower electronic orbits than the atoms on most other planets. Smaller they become, the
00:44:42easier it is for us to control and take advantage of positive and negative gravity.
00:44:48Why is Rayton getting smaller?
00:44:50This planet is slowly using up the energy that holds the atomic particles together.
00:44:55You mean you might disintegrate into nothing?
00:44:58Yes. Someday. But it will not be in our time.
00:45:03Well, I guess it's the same as on Earth. We don't seem to worry that our sun might be cooling
00:45:07off in many millions of years.
00:45:09The danger for us is that sudden bursts of concentrated heat directed on our Rayton might suddenly speed up the
00:45:16process of time.
00:45:17Do you think that's possible?
00:45:19We have enemies who want our knowledge of gravity and who know our weakness.
00:45:24You're expecting an attack?
00:45:25When you have enemies, you always expect an attack.
00:46:09I'm going to take a walk.
00:46:12Will you join me?
00:46:15Come on.
00:46:23You know, this is the first time I've had a chance to talk to you alone.
00:46:47How is it you're more different than the others?
00:46:50I don't mean your silence side.
00:46:53I mean you're warmer, more sensitive.
00:46:58That wasn't really a question, as I know you can answer.
00:47:03I just wanted you to know how I feel.
00:47:07Strange world.
00:47:09I don't want to hurt Leona.
00:47:12You don't either, do you?
00:47:16I like you.
00:47:36I have charges to make against the Earthman Chapman.
00:47:40He is imposing himself both on Liara, your daughter, and the mute girl, Zeta.
00:47:44Now this is an insult to Liara.
00:47:47You know I love her.
00:47:48And a direct insult to me.
00:47:50I am asking.
00:47:52Rather, I am demanding your permission to challenge him to the duel.
00:48:08You sent for me?
00:48:10Yes.
00:48:11I have reports about you that are not good.
00:48:15Is you causing much trouble?
00:48:17What am I supposed to have done now?
00:48:19You are forcing your attentions on Liara.
00:48:22And then on the mute girl, Zeta.
00:48:23That's not true.
00:48:24Why don't you ask them?
00:48:25He lies.
00:48:28Is it true?
00:48:29Has he forced himself or his attentions upon you?
00:48:35Why would she admit it?
00:48:36Perhaps she's afraid of him.
00:48:39Being mute, she's unable to defend herself.
00:48:42Maybe she's protecting me.
00:48:44Listen, I'm not going to be put on trial or questioned by you or anyone else for something I haven't
00:48:49done.
00:48:50You know, buddy, I don't like you.
00:48:52Maybe it's a carryover from Earth and not good taste.
00:48:54But I'd like to hang one on you.
00:48:56Chapman.
00:48:59Harren has challenged you to the duel of Brayton.
00:49:02Do you accept his challenge?
00:49:05A duel for what?
00:49:06What kind of a duel?
00:49:08This guy doesn't look very honest to me.
00:49:10A duel of bravery.
00:49:15You know, Mr. Sessom, maybe this duel business is a good idea.
00:49:20Might clear the air a little.
00:49:22So how do we go about it?
00:49:30Aaron, you know the rules for the duel of Brayton.
00:49:35But for him, I'll have to explain and show the results.
00:49:39Chapman, come here.
00:49:45Those are gravity plates that we've had placed here.
00:49:48Their intensity is so high that any object or any person placed on any one of them would immediately disintegrate.
00:50:18The duel of Brayton is one of physical strength and skill.
00:50:23You will use this rod and attempt to push your opponent on top of one of the gravity plates.
00:50:32You saw what happened to the rock.
00:50:39Get ready.
00:50:46Put the combat rod in position.
00:50:53Perfect.
00:50:57Look.
00:51:05Look.
00:51:07That place is risen!
00:51:27Untertitelung des ZDF, 2020
00:51:37...is in the hands of the victor.
00:51:39The moment has come.
00:51:41At my light signal,
00:51:43you will proceed.
00:52:28...in the middle.
00:52:29The L.A.
00:52:35...IT FIRED WORLD
00:52:49I don't want to kill you.
00:52:52I never did.
00:53:26Why didn't you kill him?
00:53:28I didn't want to.
00:53:29I don't believe in it.
00:53:31In this case, killing him would have accomplished nothing.
00:53:33But Heron wouldn't have shown you mercy.
00:53:35He'd have killed you because he wants me.
00:53:39But I don't love him.
00:53:41I love you.
00:53:42If you'd felt anything for either one of us,
00:53:45you could have stopped this duo.
00:53:47What?
00:53:47You know what I think?
00:53:49I think you were waiting to see which one of us won
00:53:51and then take the one that was left over.
00:53:53Why?
00:53:53No, Liara, I don't love you.
00:53:55I don't even know if I like you.
00:53:58But let me tell you this.
00:54:00You can't make someone love you.
00:54:03It's got to come naturally.
00:54:04You can't force it.
00:54:06You can't command it.
00:54:08If you do that, you'll never find it.
00:54:11This whole thing is like a nightmare to me.
00:54:14I miss my people.
00:54:15Well, I've got to make some attempt to get back.
00:54:19And if you feel anything for me, you'll try to help me.
00:54:24Well, perhaps you're right.
00:54:30Maybe I can help you.
00:54:57As you said, I don't want to kill you.
00:55:02You know, I think I could understand your somewhat quaint language
00:55:05if I were on your earth a little.
00:55:07Why don't you kill me?
00:55:09You didn't kill me.
00:55:10You had the chance.
00:55:12Well, what about the knife?
00:55:13This isn't exactly what I'd call a friendly visit.
00:55:21If you help me, I have a plan whereby I might help you to leave our planet.
00:55:26Perhaps it will work.
00:55:27I don't see how this is possible.
00:55:30What about my size?
00:55:34I inspected your giant suit.
00:55:36And the oxygen tank holds air from your own world.
00:55:39Now, isn't that right?
00:55:40Yes, of course, but why?
00:55:41No, never mind that.
00:55:42It's not important.
00:55:44You see, the whole plan is based on the theory
00:55:47that your people are searching for you.
00:55:50Now, I must get you back before they attempt to find you here.
00:55:52I know they've been searching
00:55:54and will eventually zero in on this planet.
00:55:58I think I can get you back in time.
00:56:01Yes, but...
00:56:04You're doing this because of Liara, aren't you?
00:56:08Yes, I am.
00:56:09I'm in love with her.
00:56:13I don't think she loves me yet,
00:56:14but perhaps with you gone,
00:56:17she will see things in more realistic light in time.
00:56:20Well, how can we get my suit into the open?
00:56:22I have some men I can trust.
00:56:25And, Cessom?
00:56:26No.
00:56:28You must never know.
00:56:30Otherwise, we both will be put to death.
00:56:34Two nights a week, I'm alone.
00:56:36In complete charge of the Master Control Center.
00:56:39Can one man handle it?
00:56:40Yes.
00:56:42And on one of those nights in the near future,
00:56:43while Cessom is sleeping,
00:56:45I will maneuver Raytown within a distance of the Earth's moon.
00:56:49You think they'll be able to see us?
00:56:51Precisely.
00:56:51They will investigate and find you.
00:57:04Go with her.
00:57:11What is this?
00:57:14What's happening?
00:57:15A siren means we're being attacked.
00:57:18Attacked by whom?
00:57:22Attacked by whom?
00:57:24The Solarites.
00:57:25We've been here too long.
00:57:26They've discovered our position.
00:57:28Who are the Solarites?
00:57:29I have no time to explain.
00:57:31I'm a self-sessor.
00:57:35I have no time to explain.
00:57:35What will we do to our plans?
00:57:38We must fight this off and no one will have any plans.
00:57:41Is everyone underground?
00:57:43Yes.
00:57:44Let me go.
00:58:08They're safe for the moment.
00:58:10And I fear they won't give up so easily.
00:58:13Safe for the moment?
00:58:15Well, who are these Solarites, anyhow?
00:58:18They're from a Sun satellite.
00:58:20For generations, they've been after our universal gravity control.
00:58:24Because they want to avoid being pulled into the Sun.
00:58:27If we don't stop them, they'll eventually attack your Earth.
00:58:33Liara, show him the prisoner.
00:58:36Prisoner?
00:58:37Come.
00:58:59So that's a Solarite.
00:59:01Yes.
00:59:02He was captured during the last war.
00:59:04The only one of their monsters that didn't die in the attack.
00:59:07When did this attack take place?
00:59:09Several years ago, when Zepha was a little girl.
00:59:12That's when she lost her voice.
00:59:16What makes those rocks disintegrate?
00:59:21It's as if they were hitting some invisible wall.
00:59:24That's exactly what it is.
00:59:26The monster is so strong that he would smash in the ordinary structure.
00:59:30Now, what you call an invisible wall is really another way that we use our gravitational control.
00:59:36Now, by using a high magnetic field,
00:59:39we can lock molecules so closely together that they form a solid wall.
00:59:44Take a big hit at MIT.
00:59:47Where?
00:59:48One of Earth's more advanced centers of learning.
00:59:52I only hope your wall will hold him in check.
00:59:56Yes.
00:59:57He could kill us all if he escaped.
01:00:01Life on other planets.
01:00:03We were always wondering if ours was the only one so blessed.
01:00:07There are many inhabited worlds,
01:00:10but only these fire people bother us.
01:00:21We have been sighted by the enemy.
01:00:24They are forming a concentrated attack.
01:00:26Pattern six.
01:00:27Vernier index.
01:00:28One, two.
01:00:29Six?
01:00:31They never attacked on that one before.
01:00:39What are we going to do?
01:00:40We must try to break up the attack.
01:00:50Is there a big hit or something?
01:00:51Help me.
01:00:53Help me.
01:00:54Help me.
01:00:55No!
01:00:56No!

01:02:04but how can you fight them
01:02:05you have a chance
01:02:07we have to settle that once and for all
01:02:09living in constant danger isn't worthy of us
01:02:12But don't forget, we still have the gravity control.
01:02:16The greatest danger to us is the high-intensity heat bomb.
01:02:20That's right.
01:02:21They have enough concentrated heat to blow up our planet instantly.
01:02:25What would you do?
01:02:28I would fight.
01:02:30And you?
01:02:33Fight.
01:02:34Right. That's exactly my decision.
01:02:38Prepare for battle.
01:02:39Sharp acceleration for attack position.
01:02:53A noob is so that we face the enemy when they attack.
01:03:06Heron, alert our units to be ready for frontal attack.
01:03:09All units, prepare for frontal attack.
01:03:13Was ist das?
01:03:44Oh, oh, oh!
01:04:28Activate the gravity curtain.
01:04:52Oh, it was a magnificent victory.
01:04:55But I'm deeply plagued with regret when I'm forced to destroy.
01:05:01If it wasn't then, it would have been you.
01:05:03Perhaps you are right.
01:05:04You're a wise chapman.
01:05:06One day you and Harren will lead our people.
01:05:09I'm honored and grateful, but...
01:05:11I will teach him all he needs to know.
01:05:30Oh, where's Zetha?
01:05:32She went to sleep early.
01:05:34Sleep?
01:05:35I'm very tired.
01:05:37Perhaps the battle was too much of a strain on me.
01:05:40Good night.
01:05:41Good night, Father.
01:05:41Sleep well, Sasson.
01:05:42Good night.

01:09:09Father.
01:09:09Arthur!
01:09:10Was ist das?
01:09:11Ich glaube, es war der Solarite.
01:09:13Sind Sie okay?
01:09:14Ich...
01:09:15Was ist das?
01:09:16Ich weiß nicht.
01:09:18Was ist der Solarite?
01:09:19Sie sehen?
01:09:20Es war schrecklich.
01:09:52Ich gehe in die Kontrolle.
01:09:53Nein, Sie bleiben.
01:09:56Chaplin!
01:09:57Ja?
01:10:00Geh durch den Korridor.
01:10:02Es ist kurz.
01:10:03Warte.
01:10:03Ich werde.
01:10:05Oh, Herrin.
01:10:12Ich werde.

01:15:34Oh, good luck, John.
01:15:36Hold on to it.
01:15:37It will help you to go back safely to your people.
01:15:41Keep it!
01:15:44And remember, Max, I loved you.
01:15:48Yes, Eva.
01:15:50I'll keep it forever.
01:15:56We just confirmed it.
01:15:57A rocket similar to yours is heading in our direction.
01:16:00I hope it won't crash.
01:16:02Don't worry.
01:16:03I have the best men on gravitation control.
01:16:06And I have another man who's coming to help me turn on the oxygen tanks as soon as you're in
01:16:10your suit.
01:16:11Thank you, Heron.
01:16:14You know, we've become friends here.
01:16:17Good friends.
01:16:20We would have become friends anywhere.
01:16:23Your planet.
01:16:24Or my Earth.
01:16:26I wish you and Lear much happiness.
01:16:51You're welcome.
01:16:51Thank you.
01:17:18I find you guilty as charged.
01:17:23You'll never see your world again.
01:17:38Frank Chapman, I've been in love with you ever since the first time I saw you.
01:17:47Chapman, Chapman, White to Beecher.
01:17:52Come in, White.
01:17:53I found Chapman.
01:17:54He's alive.
01:17:56But there's no trace of Mocconin.
01:17:59Where's Mocconin?
01:18:00He's dead.
01:18:03He's gone.
01:18:13Where are we?
01:18:16Where are they?
01:18:18Where are the others?
01:18:21Where's who?
01:18:23Jason.
01:18:24What are you talking about?
01:18:26Jason.
01:18:29Alan.
01:18:32Come on, let's get back to the ship.
01:18:42White to Beecher.
01:18:44I'm bringing him in.
01:18:45He seems to be all right.
01:18:47He said Mocconin is dead.
01:18:49He keeps talking about other people.
01:18:51I think he's in a state of shock.
01:18:53Do you need assistance?
01:18:54No, Captain.
01:18:54I can handle him alone.
01:18:58You know, Frank, you're a lucky guy.
01:19:01This is a wandering planet.
01:19:03Could have carried you anywhere.
01:19:06I'm sure glad we found you.
01:19:09Zeta.
01:19:12Zeta.
01:19:13Where is she?
01:19:15What you need is a rest.
01:19:50I don't know.
01:19:54I don't understand.
01:19:58It's unbelievable.
01:20:00We'll get you back to Moonbase for a thorough examination.
01:20:03Do you think you're hurt?
01:20:06I don't think so.
01:20:09You must have been knocked out for quite a while.
01:20:13I must have been dreaming.
01:20:16Quite possible you were delirious.
01:20:18The shock of the crash landing of your ship.
01:20:21Ray's gone.
01:20:25But I just left safe in Heron.
01:20:40She had such an adorable little face.
01:20:46All rockets ready for firing.
01:20:47Stand by for countdown.
01:20:49The gravity of this planetoid is very strong.
01:20:52We'll need every bit of thrust for our takeoff.
01:20:54Don't worry.
01:20:56I know we're gonna make it.
01:20:57Start your countdown.
