06:09I want to give you the two factors
06:11The two key elements
06:13The two main issues
06:15That trigger a revival
06:19Our revival currently is just booming
06:23And I couldn't be more grateful for it
06:26I'm so happy about it
06:27That was one of the reasons
06:29I started this ministry in 2005
06:33Was to get involved with revivals
06:36It's really fantastic
06:39It's a privilege from God
06:41To be a part of it
06:42All of it
06:43Any of it's a privilege
06:48And revivals are few and far between
06:52Miracles are few and far between
06:56And I came out of the Assembly of God denomination
06:59I was in it for years
07:01And we occasionally would have people healed
07:04Which was great
07:06We would occasionally see people baptized in the Holy Ghost
07:09They would get their
07:10Some people occasionally got their gift of prophecy
07:15Once in a while people would get their gift of tongues
07:18Different things like that
07:20But none of it was ever regular
07:23Or consistent in the services
07:26It never consistently
07:29Weekly happened
07:30On a weekly basis
07:33I had an incident that happened to me
07:36That I'll carry to my grave
07:39Years ago
07:40This was long before
07:42This was like back in the mid-90s
07:45Before I had gotten delivered from demons
07:50I was sitting in a church one day
07:55At Bell Road Assembly of God in Northeast Phoenix
07:58And in the mornings before the Sunday morning service
08:03They would have a few minutes of prayer
08:06For prayer requests in the mornings
08:10And so the pastor
08:14Asked me to come up to
08:15Do the closing prayer
08:19And I said, okay
08:20So, you know, I get out of the pew
08:23I walk forward
08:25And I stepped over
08:30The first step
08:32To go up to the platform
08:34It was three steps up
08:36I put my right foot on the first step
08:38And suddenly
08:41The Holy Ghost came all over me
08:43Boom
08:43And I started
08:47Shaking all over
08:49And I was
08:49I started weeping
08:53And I got up
08:55Behind the pulpit
08:58And I do not know what happened to me
09:01It just kind of
09:02Took off
09:05And I said something like
09:09We can pray for the sick this morning
09:11Can't we?
09:12And I turned to the pastor
09:13Who was standing behind me
09:16And
09:17Do we have any anointing oil?
09:19I said
09:20So he grabs the anointing oil
09:23That was up there
09:23Brought it to me
09:25And
09:27Suddenly people got out of their pews
09:29And lined up like an Oral Roberts
09:32Service
09:33Just lined up
09:34Down the aisle
09:35To the front there
09:37And I went down on the
09:39Back down three steps
09:41And started praying for people
09:42And the Holy Ghost started hitting
09:44One after the other
09:49What happened there
09:51That day?
09:52Well I wanted to explain it to you
09:53The Magi
09:54That came from
09:56The East
09:57To see Jesus
09:59Took their lives in their hands
10:00I got involved with King Herod
10:02He was a cold-blooded
10:04Narcissistic murderer
10:06The Jews hated him
10:07And so did the Romans
10:10When he died
10:11He had
10:12Dozens of leaders
10:15Murdered
10:16In Israel
10:17In the synagogues
10:21Religious leaders
10:22He had them all murdered
10:25The day before he died
10:27The reason he did it
10:29Was because he wanted
10:32The nation to be in mourning
10:33And he figured if they were in mourning
10:35They would also mourn him
10:37Because he knew the Jews hated his guts
10:42The Magi
10:43Traveled days
10:45To get to the Messiah
10:47And they brought
10:48A lot of very expensive
10:50Gifts
10:52Which the Holy Spirit
10:54Used to take care of him
10:55For the rest of his life
10:57And
10:57They broke their backs
11:00To get there
11:02Traveling day after day
11:04After day
11:05Camping at night
11:07Traveling all day

11:09They had the two things
11:12That you need for a revival
11:14Expectation
11:15And anticipation
11:18And they were not disappointed
11:20When they got there
11:21They found the Messiah
11:23Wrapped in swaddling clothes
11:25Lying in a food trough
11:27In her barn
11:29If you look at the woman
11:31With the issue of blood
11:32She was dying of cervix cancer
11:37Her vagina could not stop
11:39Dripping blood
11:40She was ceremonially unclean
11:44She had lost everything in life
11:46The Bible says
11:47She spent every penny she had
11:50On doctors
11:54I'm not knocking doctors
11:55I'm just saying
11:56They can only do so much
12:00And
12:01She got to
12:04Jesus
12:04But unfortunately
12:05She couldn't get to him
12:08She had
12:08To press her way in
12:10And whoever brought her
12:11If somebody was helping her
12:12They had to do the same thing
12:14They had to push their way
12:15Through the crowd
12:17To get to Jesus
12:18And she said to herself
12:19In her spirit
12:20In her heart
12:21In her mind
12:22She said
12:23If I can just touch
12:24The tassel on his robe there
12:27If I just get a nick of it
12:28Boom
12:30I'll be him
12:33And as he was coming
12:34Down the street
12:35She finally got to the front
12:38Pushed her way through
12:40And she saw him
12:41She dove at that tassel
12:43Well you can see
12:45She was showing
12:46Hardcore
12:49Expectation
12:50She had
12:52She had
12:54Inspiration
12:55She had determination
12:58To get to God
12:59And the natural result
13:01Of that is
13:02Boom
13:03A revival
13:04A miracle
13:08You look at blind Bartimaeus
13:11Sitting on the curb
13:13He never
13:13He can't see
13:14His family anymore
13:15He's got no job
13:16He lost his career
13:18And you know
13:19What he does all day
13:20He sits around
13:21Panhandling
13:23He's got a pottery
13:24Cup in his hand
13:26Asking people
13:27To give him
13:27A denari
13:28Here and there
13:29You know
13:31He's humiliated
13:32He's embarrassed
13:34He's sick of his life
13:35He hates it
13:36He wants to be
13:37With his family again
13:38He wants to be able
13:38To see his kids
13:40The guy's lost everything
13:41He wants to go back
13:42To work
13:43Everything's lost
13:44All he does
13:45All day long
13:46Is sit
13:47On the curb
13:49Can you imagine
13:50Downtown Jericho
13:52He just sits there
13:56Looking for donations
13:59Well
13:59It's a proven fact
14:01That if someone
14:01Loses one of their
14:02Five senses
14:05They got four left
14:06These four tend to
14:07Heighten
14:08Insensitivity a bit more
14:11And blind Bartimaeus
14:13Hearing was fantastic
14:16And he heard
14:17The commotion
14:18The chaos
14:19And found out
14:21That it was
14:21Jesus of Nazareth
14:23The Messiah
14:24Visiting Jericho
14:25And he's coming
14:26Right down the street
14:29Well blind Bartimaeus
14:30Didn't have anybody
14:31To take him to him
14:32And didn't have
14:32Any friends
14:33He was a
14:36Broke beggar
14:38So he does
14:39The only thing
14:40He knows to do
14:41He starts yelling
14:44He starts screaming
14:45For Jesus
14:46And yelling at him
14:48Because he can't
14:48Run out and get him
14:49He doesn't know
14:50Where he is
14:50He can't see him
14:53But he's got
14:54Everything needed
14:56For a revival
14:59He's got everything
15:01You need
15:01For a miracle
15:02And that's why
15:04There's no miracles
15:05At your church
15:05And that's why
15:06There's no miracles
15:07In most churches
15:08Because they don't
15:10Have an expectation
15:14For a miracle
15:16They're not expecting
15:18Something to happen
15:20And therefore
15:21They do not act
15:22Like they're expecting
15:24Something will happen
15:28See the thing
15:29That kills miracles

15:31Revivals
15:32Is routines
15:34Christians get
15:35Into routines
15:37At home
15:38At work
15:39At church
15:41Once you get
15:42Into a routine
15:43The devil
15:44Lulls you to sleep
15:46Right
15:47Have you ever
15:48Been on a boat
15:48When you've been
15:49Tired
15:49And the water
15:51And there's wind
15:52And the water
15:53Just kind of
15:53Moves the boat
15:54And you
15:57You can't
15:58You're having trouble
15:59Keeping your eyes open
16:00Well that's exactly
16:01How the devil does it
16:02Instead of using waves
16:03He uses a routine
16:05You're in a comfort zone
16:06A routine comfort zone
16:09And the only way
16:10God can get through to you
16:11Is if he pushes you
16:12Out of your comfort zone

16:29Who were in a routine

16:36It's just
16:36Everybody's comfortable
16:37With it
16:38Have you ever seen that?
16:39No miracles or revival
16:41Are going to come
16:42To your church
16:43Once you get into a routine
16:47Nothing's going to happen
16:47Well Blind Bartimaeus
16:49Was in a routine
16:49He was sitting on the curb
16:51With a pottery cup
16:53Begging for money
16:54But when he heard about
16:55The Messiah
16:57He started screaming
16:59And then the people
17:00That were at church
17:01In the synagogue
17:02Who were in their routines
17:03Started to yell at him
17:07They started yelling at him
17:09And telling him to shut up
17:12And at your church
17:13For example
17:14If you show up
17:15With expectations
17:20With determination
17:21With inspiration
17:26If you show up
17:27People are going to look at you
17:29Like you're nuts
17:32What are you doing?
17:35Well the Bible says
17:36Blind Bartimaeus
17:37Yelled louder
17:38And Jesus heard him
17:39And told him
17:41To bring him here
17:42What happens
17:43When you show up
17:44With expectation
17:46And anticipation
17:48What happens to you?
17:50God shows up
17:51It's exactly what
17:52Jesus' brother said
17:54James was Jesus'
17:56Half-brother
17:57Remember?
17:58And he said
17:59Draw nigh to God
18:00And he will draw nigh to you
18:02But you've got to go first
18:05Draw nigh to God
18:07And he will draw nigh to you
18:09And you can't draw nigh to God
18:11If you're in a sleepy routine
18:12At church
18:14Park the car
18:16Come in
18:18God bless a few people
18:20Go to the bathroom
18:23Go get in the pew
18:24Or find your seat
18:25They used to have pews
18:26In churches years ago
18:27I'm showing my age now
18:29You go sit in your chair
18:31You sit there
18:32You look around
18:33You greet a few more people

18:36You go through your routine
18:38Then you get out your check
18:42Or your money
18:43And then they pass a plate
18:45Or they have a bucket up front
18:46And then you go out
18:47And put your money in
18:49Then they have a few announcements
18:50Then maybe they'll have a testimony
18:52Then they'll have an advertisement
18:54Or something
18:55Then the band strikes up
18:57A bunch of Christian songs
18:58Hallelujah
18:59And they go through that routine
19:01And then usually there's a message
19:03After that
19:05In a small percent of churches
19:07Then they'll have maybe an altar call
19:09But the altar calls
19:10Are essentially useless
19:11You casually go down to the front
19:14You just stand there
19:15Maybe you'll hold somebody's hand
19:17Maybe you'll say some nice
19:20Sweet
19:20Casual loving prayers
19:23Thank you Jesus
19:27And then you give somebody a hug
19:30Maybe at the altar
19:31Remember that
19:32Then you go back to your seat
19:34You get your family or friends
19:36And then you go out to the parking lot
19:39You say hi to a few people
19:41You God bless a few people
19:42On your way out
19:43Maybe you'll wave at a guy
19:44Hey Bob see you next Sunday
19:46You get in your car
19:47And you say to the family
19:50Or whoever
19:50Where do you want to go to eat at
19:52We want to go to Taco Bell
19:54We want to go to Golden Corral
19:55You head off to Golden Corral
19:57And then your Sunday's over
19:59Hello
20:00Then you go home
20:01You watch football
20:01See once the devil
20:03Like waves in the sea
20:06Rocks you to sleep
20:07With a routine
20:09With a routine
20:10Your chance for a miracle is zero

20:42Jesus got to the house
20:43And he got to the house
20:45And he stopped
20:45And he turns around

20:46What do you guys want
20:49They said
20:49Lord that we might
20:50Receive our sight
20:51And he said
20:51Well you're just receiving
20:53See once you show up
20:55With expectation
20:57Once you show up

21:03Miracles are easy
21:06Healing's easy
