00:01It's not what I thought it would be. This is, it's amazing.
00:08It's actually not something I've ever thought about where my pension is actually invested.
00:12It's not kind of the traditional thing that you think about for pensions.
00:15Not many people get an opportunity to come out here unless they're working here.
00:18To be given that opportunity, I mean, it's brilliant.
00:20I don't class myself as an investor as such. It's usually somebody in London wearing a suit that you think
00:26about.
00:26To find out that Nest actually invests heavily in renewable energy is just a wonderful thing.
00:32And to actually come out here today and actually see it in action is something to be impressed about.
00:39Today's been a fantastic opportunity to actually meet with Nest members and show them exactly what we're doing with their
00:43money.
00:44The fact that from Grimsby is perfect because some of the biggest offshore wind farms are based right here in
00:48Grimsby.
00:49They really do have like a front row seat to the energy transition.
00:52And it's great that Nest is able to use their money to help further as well.
00:54I think I'd say to anyone who has a pension, we don't just do nothing with your money.
00:58What we do is we invest it. So if you do have a pension, you are actually an investor.
01:02You're investing in something that's going to help you, but also future generations to come.
01:10I think now is the time really to be investing in renewable energy.
01:17The only way to get away from oil and gas is to have the wind farm itself. It's something everyone
01:22should be doing.
01:26I'd probably say I would see myself as an investor now and it's great to actually go out and understand
01:31where your money is actually going to go.
01:32It makes you quite proud of where your money is going and it's helping you, but helping other people as
01:38well and the environment.
01:39In the future I'm going to research more into where my money has been going, where it's going to and
01:44hopefully it's going into projects such as the one today.
