00:02We've reached Memorial Day, often called the unofficial kickoff of summer, but it truly means so much more than a
00:09long weekend spent barbecuing, camping, the beach, and enjoying get-togethers with family and friends.
00:14It's the perfect time to reflect on the men and women who laid down their lives for our country and
00:20for our freedom, from wars past to more recent conflicts such as Afghanistan, Iraq, and even in the past few
00:27months, the Americans who have died in the conflict with Iran.
00:31When I see the flag this weekend, I will pause and reflect a bit longer and say thank you, a
00:37heartfelt thank you, to all those who gave everything of themselves for my, our freedom.
00:43To those who continue to serve our country with honor, I am grateful. Thank you.
