00:01Authorities have launched an investigation into the collapse of a nine-story building
00:06under construction in Angeles City. The Department of the Interior and Local Government, DILG,
00:12said on Monday that all relevant agencies remain fully coordinated and are exhausting every
00:17possible effort to account for all victims. The collapse occurred early Sunday when a mixed-use
00:23building under construction in Barangay Balibago gave way, damaging a neighboring apartel.
00:28As of noon Monday, authorities said 26 people had been rescued, four confirmed dead and 17 still
00:36missing. The DILG said 267 rescue personnel had been deployed to the site, including teams from
00:43the Bureau of Fire Protection's Special Rescue Force, Emergency Medical Service, and reinforcement
00:49units from central Luzon. Round-the-clock search and rescue operations are continuing as responders
00:55work to locate and recover those trapped beneath the rubble.
