00:00The Black Caucus of the United States Congress demanded Washington to end the oil blockade on Cuba.
00:06In a letter addressed to the U.S. administration on Friday, Congressional Black Caucus chairwoman Yvette D. Clark
00:12said she was alarmed with the growing humanitarian crisis in Cuba and that it was time for the administration to
00:19lift its oil blockade
00:20and the archaic, unnecessary harsh sanctions that have disproportionately harmed innocent Cubans for decades.
00:26She went on by starting a report by the New York Times that informed that, as a result of the
00:31sanctions,
00:32the infant mortality rate in Cuba has more than doubled since 2018, with food shortages leading to more than underweight
00:40pregnant women and their newborns.
00:43Too many Cuban children are unable to make it out of the hospital and home to their families.
00:48In another part of the text, Clark sentenced that the Congressional Black Caucus will not just stand by
00:54and allow this administration to drug out this barbaric policy that generates unimaginable human suffering in Cuba.
