00:00A delegation from the Association of Pakistani Doctors who were in Cuba were in solidarity
00:05with the Caribbean nation, which is currently facing a U.S. government siege and threats.
00:11During a Labor Day visit to the Cuban Embassy in Islamabad, the young doctors were in their
00:16support for Cuba and their opposition to the U.S. blockade.
00:19Ahead of the Cuban mission, Damian Cordero states, these professionals are grateful for
00:24their training in Cuba which instilled in them values of solidarity and commitment to saving life.
00:33Likewise, Pakistani doctors took the opportunity to discuss the Association's agenda to strengthen
00:39solidarity and exchange with the Cuban health sector. They also discussed activities planned
00:45for the centennial of Fidel Castro, the historic leader of the Cuban revolution who is greatly
00:51admiring Pakistan.
