00:30topic and discussion for today as and always with our quick topics and discussion I'm going to be
00:35talking about a movie review real quick right here called Slice. It did debut on Netflix but it will
00:40probably be hitting theaters more than soon or not really hitting the theaters maybe like slicing up
00:46the theaters get it slice as in pizza delivery which is the new pizza delivery that they're using
00:53of course they talk about yummy tummy Chinese food or yummy yummy tummy mummy Chinese food of course
00:59there's werewolves which is we'll say prostitutes maybe we'll say there are dead people in it that
01:06are in ghost towns and they did it almost eerie like in the setting of the late 80s slash early
01:1290s of
01:13how things were going during maybe like a stranger things time realm kind of more than the stranger
01:18things time realm because they also did that pretty solid now they did have zazie beats and chance the
01:24rapper or chance bennett it's sarah cunningham we had paul shearer and we had a cast of other surprises
01:30and clues including who else would be like the mayor and stuff like that or those items would be crossing
01:36over into this new slice world as there are a ghost town with real ghosts and then the regular people
01:44town there's a whole big series of what's going on to get these certain candidates re-elected for the
01:51mayor john michael higgins is playing one of the candidates who's already the mayor and he's got kind
01:56of like some fetishes he has some fetishes and different queries about him that are not quite on the up
02:01enough but he's making a deal with these simplified wishes that have been haunting this town for a long
02:08time then crimes start happening and they're blaming it on this certain werewolf which chance
02:14the rapper happens to be they go through a thing of series where the pizza people keep getting killed or
02:20a couple of them keep getting killed then they go through and say what the clues are they also have
02:26this professor investigation lady which is also joe keery's kind of friend that is a spot on with the
02:33camera dude so he goes and finds out what's going on and then she's writing for the paper while
02:39investigating and she's trying to solve the murders or what has happened during these items going on
02:45with this being a kind of comic related driven storyline and she finds out and tells the police
02:53captain who also has a assistant detective or a private that's on the beat with him trying to find these
03:00murderers and the people that are slicing the other people up from the pizza place so they don't get
03:06confused on what they're doing leads into a whole bunch of uh chicanery and just happy anarchy
03:12all around so they keep blaming the werewolf on the murders which is not him but we don't know it's
03:20not
03:20him until the end that they help everybody sort each other out well why these witches are trying
03:26to take over the town and get re-elected to the guy that's running in office now are making deals
03:33because they don't want the pizza place to be open because it's on sacred indian burial ground while
03:40there's other people working for those particular sociopathic witches that we come to find out are more
03:47than you know just a couple because they're in a cult and they have things to take over the world
03:52and open a demonic portal so all of hell can come through earth which we don't find out until the
03:58end
03:58this is not really a spoiler because the movie kind of comes along with how they're setting everything up
04:04in each particular quarter of the movie they go through all of this adventure and quarry to their
04:12character then they come back and they feel like they've not done enough so at the end there's a big
04:18surprise with the werewolf and what happens with that i'm not going to give that away either said is
04:23not giving it away either just it's it's giving you a full view of what's going on with the movie
04:29as it happens was very funny we kind of find out what's going on by the private investigator who's
04:36also a good well-known actor that i will probably put all the list of the actors down below in
04:41the
04:41description i mean of the synopsis and who the actors are in the description so you can kind of
04:47follow along but also they're trying to make this as funny as possible so when they're trying to blow
04:53things up or do things it's got a funny twist to it like when the first person dies it has
04:59a funny twist
05:00to it and the second person dies it has a funny twist to it when the third person dies it
05:05has a funny
05:05twist to it there's more than a good handful of people that actually die in this movie and then
05:10they get to come back and they show you what they're like possibly in the afterlife or on the
05:16other side or if they're stuck on earth or not so they get to all this big hype and all
05:22these items
05:22come about and then they go and tell you and show you how everything comes full circle at the end
05:28while a zombie might be working at a pizza shop there might be ghosts in a haunting and there might
05:33be a
05:34chain item in the ghost town of a haunting with them having this you know long awaited thing when
05:41the werewolf got chased away and the witches and the other ghosts and the other paranormal activity
05:46going on was chased away so long ago thousands of years ago then it came back a couple hundred years
05:53later then again and again but they're trying to keep it without an incident like zero days without
05:59an incident kind of like the walking dead a little bit now they get into this big big spiel about
06:04how
06:04this ghost town is not good for the rest of the regular people town or the people that are actually
06:10alive and it really gets to high high ensuement of wild adventures and bringing back certain things like
06:19references about the 80s and 90s references about hair references about how pizza places were operated
06:25back then references about arcades references about how men looked at women and how women looked at men
06:32references about things that people are afraid of that they can't get over like werewolves and stuff
06:37that are trying to hurt people and really big things like that that are necessary to the items that are
06:43going on within the source material because it's all one big pretty much laughing matter but when they get
06:50to the certain spot of how this newspaper lady who's also doing a private investigation trying to tell
06:56the police captain what's going on he still is a believer and then he talks to the actual person
07:03that is the werewolf which is chance the rapper's character and he goes into a big diatribe about how you
07:08could be helping the town or just letting the town slip away well he wasn't part of that other part
07:14of the
07:14ghost town so the ghost town is pretty much open season then they go back and show you the people
07:23that are alive part of the town that's half and half because they're all in the quadrant of the map
07:29and they keep happening in these different spots kind of like a connect the dots sort of thing but not
07:34really because they weren't really doing it by the end of the movie anyway and it really kind of got
07:38into
07:39into a funny moment or more funny moments as things keep escalating and keep going into the
07:45different directions that they wanted to go into but also with the references it made it extra funny
07:51it was definitely better than the three movies i saw before that and definitely better than the
07:56predator remake so i would definitely say check out slice it was a big big thumbs up double thumbs up
08:03for me i would definitely give it a 70 thumbs up there were some things that were a little hoke
08:09extra hokey like the witch's detail but you're gonna have that just because they're doing so many things
08:15so many moving parts and pieces going on with the desks and you'll get what i mean when you watch
08:21the
