03:14definitely and also in the case of this movie i would definitely go back and start with the
03:19original prequel called within the woods with the bruce campbell inception of how they did things
03:28way back when there was within the woods then there was evil dead then there was evil the evil
03:35dead 2 then evil dead 3 which was obviously army of darkness which was one of my favorite movies of
03:42the horror drama or the funscapes of all time then we have the obvious uh four books because they did
03:52more from the canon and the comics uh through the ash versus evil dead tv show that recently ended
04:00like i would say a little more than a year and a half ago but they put that in inclusion
04:06and then
04:06the evil dead movie before that was 2009 2010 ish that they put those uh canon pieces back together
04:16for the rest of what they were doing for this film now this film does have a lot of extra
04:25psychology in
04:26from the ass the adsense of how the children as sense to what they're doing uh with their relatives
04:36especially with their mother who kind of starts it all uh the creepy forms of what these particular
04:45quote-unquote demons are doing when they're not really uh so demon-y they're based off the
04:54after a while of what the canon had already started in the last movie and of course ash versus the
05:02evil
05:02dead or ash versus evil dead they wanted to combine all of the spectrum and all of the movies and
05:10everything into one lump sum of a bigger idea for the traffic so people would kind of understand if
05:17they were just seeing this as a standalone film itself
05:23i do understand a lot of the other hype that people got out for because they wanted something
05:28more to uh be belonged in this film which don't get me wrong because my rating is very high i
05:36give it a
05:3790 thumbs up straight thumbs up a 90 thumbs up to thumbs in the middle because it is overall very
05:45very
05:45good there's good writing pretty much throughout the movie there are a few boring parts don't get me
05:51wrong and i did find some of the satirical outsets kind of not so great but there are some other
06:02real
06:02big aspects in this movie that i did really appreciate like them trying to not recycle the old
06:10just allure of the jokes that were in the first couple of movies but the rest of how it was
06:17set up
06:17from what this family was going through what their relatives are connected to what the specific
06:26mother is connected to how the children are avoided throughout most of the movie but they are not safe
06:34whatsoever uh the mother character or like the jane levy ish mother character i know it's not quite her
06:44but that's what they kind of based it off of they they really get the ball rolling early and they
06:51wanted
06:52to keep spinning throughout the entire parts of the film just because of the uh relance accents of
07:00how these ones that they're going to use the book or the pages or anything else to save what they're
07:06going to do at the end and of course there's a slight cliffhanger opening for another one i don't
07:13think they need to do another one to be quite honest with you i think they need to keep it
07:18just at this
07:18one i think they did a pretty good job overall just getting the overall feel of how they were going
07:26to
07:26make the lore uh specifically jam based on how really the test of just the overall timing with the
07:40modicum of the belief towards these specific entities that they were dealing with how and what they call
07:49in to help what goes on with the help what they're doing to kind of stay alive uh the alive
07:56help doesn't
07:57really work some points and the children have to take things in their own hands which does cost
08:03some certain lives and then it gets flipped over there's an ideal of you can bring people back
08:11uh there's an ideal of you can possibly switch timelines uh they're just all sorts of slow uh all sorts
08:21of slow and fast moving parts in this film that i enjoyed basically a lot of the fast moving parts
08:29are more worth it there's a ton of action like i said a ton of blood and gore there are
08:34random killings
08:35for nonsense things but it kind of all connects at the end for the most part so it's not a
08:43perfect
08:43perfect movie but it's pretty dang close to one of the better horror movies you're going to see within
08:49the years so i i would give it just the overall thumbs up for that matted ideals to the stronghold
08:58that
08:58that it has because this is probably most likely going to be it for the evil dead franchise for a
09:05while so people have to enjoy it they pretty much like i said nipped it in the book i mean
09:12they don't
09:13love the the egg glove they don't love the thug glove or or the power glove from uh nintendo mario

09:21i didn't get to use that in the last one so i'm using it in this one anyhow back on

09:27saying they don't get to use the hyper love that they probably should have but it is it is a

09:35movie overall i enjoyed it i think there were some things that could have been done a little bit
09:39better but hey that's just me i think there are some parts of the movie like a couple the two

09:46kids get annoying at certain parts of the movie and sometimes you just want to slap the shit out of
09:52them but i think they did a good overall job the acting was fairly good on uptake i think they
09:59picked
10:00some well cast members i know they wanted to get some other people involved with this
10:04and of course bring back some of the extra producers or showrunners to actors to make this a
10:13little bit better but i think what they did with it in the ode to the ash williams moniker and
10:23the
10:24mantle that's kind of carried over to what they did uh of having kind of like a new generation form
10:31was also good there's just a lot of things that are majorly huge spoilers that i don't want to give
10:38out most of you probably reading or watching this review reading i don't know what you'll be reading
10:42maybe you're reading the comic or the part of the necro uh to see this review but no i'm not
