00:23to know much more about the crime than he is told, but who has not been regarded as the perpetrator,
00:282. Arthur Mullinax, former streetcar conductor, for whom a strong alibi has been established,
00:35and from whom suspicion is shifting, 3. Jerron Bailey, Negro elevator boy, who has been held
00:41as a material witness, but against whom no evidence has been obtained, 4. J. M. Gant,
00:47former employee of the National Pencil Company, located at the plant on Saturday, and identified
00:52as the man with the little girl on Saturday night. In neither Mullinax's nor Gant's case
00:57do the police place much dependence on the so-called identification.
