Transcript
00:07We turn the focus on Group K in which Portugal are the favorites ahead of DR Congo, Uzbekistan
00:13and Colombia. Making their seventh consecutive tournament, Portugal are ranked fifth, having
00:18scored freely in an easy World Cup qualification campaign. Like his nemesis, Cristiano Ronaldo
00:23will match Messi with a record sixth tournament appearance, but unlike the Argentine, this
00:28will be his final chance to win the coveted World Cup crown. The Portuguese have loads
00:33of talent among their starters with Rafael Liao, Bruno Fernandes, Bernardo Silva and Francisco
00:38Conceição to name a few, but they objectively don't have the same depth of talent compared
00:43to nations like France and Spain. First up for Ronaldo and Portugal at the
00:48Democratic Republic of the Congo, the Leopards are back in the World Cup after a 52-year-old
00:53exile which saw them conceding 14 goals while failing to score once on debut.
00:57The Central Africans took the long road to the tournament after finishing second in calf
01:02qualification, needing to beat Jamaica to secure a World Cup spot at the Intercontinental
01:06playoff. But don't expect to see many goals from the DR Congo as they lack offensive firepower
01:12despite having Newcastle United attacker Johan Wiesa. Their strongest areas in defense with
01:17Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Chancel Mbemba and Axel Toon Zwebe, their standouts.
