Tyler Hubbard shares the WORLD PREMIERE of his new song, "Land," and what he hopes it will mean to fans.
Transcript
00:00What's up, y'all? It's Tyler Hubbard listening to your favorite Odyssey country station to hear my brand new song,
00:05Land.
00:06I'd say the day that we wrote Land was an awesome day in Nashville, Music Row, Zach's House.
00:12Got together with Canaan and Graylin James and kind of like threw out some titles and some ideas.
00:19Eventually I threw out this, I said I got this title that I think would be cool called Land,
00:23and I, you know, I hadn't really fully wrapped my head around how I want to write this song,
00:29but I think it's a cool, cool concept.
00:31How would we do it differently than you may, you know, think off the top of your head?
00:38So anyways, we kind of bounced around for a few hours and next thing you know had a really cool
00:43chorus
00:43and dove in and realized we kind of had something special and finished the verses.
00:48And Zach, who was producing that day on the tracks, absolutely crushed the demo, sang it down,
00:57sang the harms, and to be honest, without it sounding too, you know, without underselling the day,
01:06it was an awesome day in Nashville as a songwriter.
01:11It was the perfect example of what it's like to be a part of this creative environment
01:16and this community of writers that get together and chase hits every day.
01:20And to show up on Music Row at a buddy's house and walk out of there four hours later was
01:26something you're really proud of,
01:27something that was meaningful, something that had a lot of cool melodies and a lot of hooky lines.
01:36It's really all a songwriter can ever ask for, so I'm extremely grateful for that day, for those guys, and
01:41the song we got from it.
01:43You know, I hope the fans, first of all, connect with the message of this song.
01:48I hope that if they're going through something, I hope it's encouraging for them.
01:52I know for me, you know, when you're in those seasons where things aren't going quite as planned,
01:58you know, you feel so defeated, and at times it can be really difficult.
02:01And I just hope they feel like they're not alone.
02:03I hope they feel encouraged by this song and inspired to, you know, to keep pushing, to keep moving, to
02:09get back up.
02:10And honestly, probably at the end of the day, from my experience, I hope they also feel from this song
02:16that,
02:16hey, once you get through it, a lot of times you realize why you went through it.
02:20And a lot of times you come out on the other side better for it or a better person because
02:26of it.
02:26So anyways, I just hope this tune connects with the world, connects with y'all's heart.
