00:00I talk about immigration, I talk about asylum with members of the public day in, day out,
00:05my own constituency and beyond.
00:07All they want to hear, they don't want a speech from me, they don't want a press release,
00:10certainly don't want a tweet from me.
00:11What they want to see is deliverable change.
00:14Today what we're seeing is change.
00:15They also want to see a closure of hotels, a very visible sign of their community.
00:19Again, what we're announcing today is a really significant fall from its peak of more than 60% fall
00:24in people in hotels.
00:25Those hotel numbers have now fallen by more than a half as well.
00:28So they're seeing that change and I believe it will cut through when people do see that change.
00:32That's why it's so important that we deliver it and today is another stage in that road.
