00:00111. In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
00:05112. Intimate
00:08113. And the clear Book
00:12114. Indeed, We have made it an Arabic Qur'an so that you may understand.
00:20115. And it is in the Mother of the Book with Us, exalted and wise.
00:29116. Should We then turn away the Reminder from you altogether because you are a transgressing people?
00:39117. And how many prophets did We send to the former peoples?
00:46118. And no prophet came to them except that they ridiculed him.
00:54119. So We destroyed those who were mightier than them in power, and the same fate befell those who came before them.
01:03111. And if you ask them, "Who created the heavens and the earth?" they will surely say, "The Exalted in Might, the All-Knowing, created them."
01:16112. He who made the earth a bed for you and made therein pathways so that you may be guided
01:26113. He who sends down water from the sky in due measure, and We revive thereby a dead land. Thus you will be brought forth
01:43114. He who created all pairs and made for you ships and animals on which you ride
01:54115. So that you may sit firmly upon its back, and then remember the favor of your Lord when you have sat firmly upon it, and say
02:05116. And you say, "Glory be to Him Who has subjected this to us, and we could not have subdued it."
02:15117. And indeed, to our Lord we will return.
02:22118. And they have assigned to Him a portion of His servants. Indeed, mankind is clearly ungrateful.
02:33119. Or has He taken daughters from what He creates and favored you with sons?
02:41110. And when one of them is given the good news of that which he attributes to the Most Merciful as an example, his face becomes darkened, and he suppresses his anger.
02:54111. Or is he who is brought up in luxury and unable to make a clear argument in a dispute
03:01112. And they have made the angels, who are servants of the Most Merciful, females. Did they witness their creation? Their testimony will be recorded, and they will be questioned.
03:17113. And they said, "If the Most Merciful had willed, we would not have worshipped them." They have no knowledge of that; they are only guessing.
03:31114. Or have We given them a book before this, to which they are holding fast?
03:41115. Rather, they said, “We found our fathers following a certain way, and we are guided by their footsteps.”
03:59116. And We did not send before you any warner to a town except that its affluent ones said, “Indeed, we found our fathers following a religion, and indeed, we found our fathers following a religion.”
04:30117. He said, “Even if I brought you something better than what you found your fathers following?” They said, “Indeed, we are disbelievers in that with which you have been sent.”
04:53118. So We took vengeance on them. Then see how was the end of the deniers.
05:03119. And when Abraham said to his father and his people, “I am free from that which you worship.”
05:16110. Except He who created me, for He will guide me.
05:21111. And He made it a lasting word among his descendants, so that they might return.
05:31112. Rather, I gave these people and their forefathers enjoyment until the truth and a clear messenger came to them.
05:45113. And when the truth came to them, they said, “This is magic, and we disbelieve in it.”
05:57114. And they said, "Why was this Qur'an not sent down upon a great man from the two cities?"
06:07115. Do they distribute the mercy of your Lord?
06:11116. We have apportioned among them their livelihood in this worldly life.
06:18117. And We raised some of them above others in rank, so that some of them might take others in service.
06:30118. And the mercy of your Lord is better than what they accumulate.
06:36119. And were it not that mankind would become one community, We would have made for those who disbelieve in the Most Merciful roofs of silver for their houses.
07:03110. And ascents upon which they ascend
07:07111. And their houses have doors and couches on which they recline.
07:15112. And adornment. But all that is but the enjoyment of worldly life. And the Hereafter with your Lord is for the righteous.
07:30113. And whoever turns away from the remembrance of the Most Merciful - We appoint for him a devil, and he is his companion.
07:41114. And they hinder them from the path, while they think that they are rightly guided.
07:51115. Even if he comes to Us, he will say, "Oh, I wish there was between me and you the distance of the two easts!" What an evil companion!
08:04116. And it will not benefit you today, since you have wronged yourselves, that you are sharing in the punishment.
08:14117. Can you make the deaf hear, or guide the blind, or those who are in manifest error?
08:24118. So if We take you away, We will surely exact retribution from them.
08:33119. Or We will show you what We have promised them, for We are fully capable of doing so.
08:42110. So hold fast to that which has been revealed to you. Indeed, you are on a straight path.
08:53111. And it is a reminder for you and your people, and you will be questioned.
09:01112. And ask those We sent before you of Our messengers: Did We appoint gods to be worshipped besides the Most Merciful?
09:15113. And We sent Moses with Our signs to Pharaoh and his chiefs, and he said, “Indeed, I am the messenger of the Lord of the worlds.”
09:29114. But when Our signs came to them, they laughed at them.
09:40115. And We showed them no sign except that it was greater than its predecessor, and We seized them with punishment so that they might return.
09:55116. And they said, “O magician, invoke your Lord for us by the covenant He has made with you; indeed, we will be guided.”
10:07117. But when We removed the punishment from them, they immediately broke their promise.
10:15118. And Pharaoh called out to his people, saying, “O my people, does not the kingdom of Egypt belong to me, and these rivers flowing beneath me? Do you not see?”
10:30119. Am I not better than this one who is contemptible and can hardly make himself clear?
10:39110. Why then were not bracelets of gold bestowed upon him, or angels brought with him in procession?
10:53111. So he misled his people, and they obeyed him. Indeed, they were a disobedient people.
11:04112. So when they angered Us, We took vengeance on them and drowned them all.
11:14113. So We made them a precedent and an example for others.
11:20114. And when the son of Mary was given an example, behold, your people turned away from it.
11:29115. They said, “Are our gods better, or is he?” They only presented this argument to you for the sake of debate. Rather, they are a contentious people.
11:43116. He was a servant upon whom We bestowed Our favor, and We made him an example for the Children of Israel.
11:55117. And if We willed, We could have made angels from among you to succeed you on earth.
12:07118. And it is a sign of the Hour, so do not doubt it, and follow Me.
12:16119. This is the straight path
12:20110. And let not Satan deter you
12:25111. He is a clear enemy to you.
12:30111. When Jesus came with clear proofs, he said, “I have come to you with wisdom and to clarify for you some of that in which you differ. So fear God and obey me.”
12:50112. Indeed, Allah is my Lord and your Lord, so worship Him. This is a straight path.
13:01113. The factions differed among themselves, so woe to those who wronged themselves from the punishment of a painful Day.
13:12114. Do they await anything but the Hour, that it should come upon them suddenly while they are unaware?
13:23115. Friends on that Day will be excused to one another.
13:32116. Except for the righteous
13:34117. O My servants, no fear will there be concerning you this Day, nor will you grieve.
13:43117. Those who believed in Our verses and were Muslims
13:50118. Enter Paradise, you and your spouses, in happiness.
13:57119. They will be served with golden platters and cups.
14:06110. And in it is whatever the souls desire and the eyes delight in.
14:13111. And you will abide therein eternally.
14:17112. And that is Paradise which you are made to inherit for what you used to do.
14:27113. You have plenty of fruit therein, from which you may eat.
14:35114. The criminals will abide eternally in the torment of Hell.
14:43115. He does not cease from them while they are among them.
14:48116. We did not wrong them, but they were the wrongdoers.
14:55117. And they will cry, "O Malik, let your Lord put an end to us!" He will say, "Indeed, you will remain."
15:05117. We have brought you the truth, but most of you are averse to the truth.
15:14118. Or have they decided on a matter? Then We will decide.
15:21119. Or do they think that We do not hear their secrets and their private conversations? Yes, indeed, Our messengers are with them, recording.
15:33110. Say, "If the Most Merciful had a son, I would be the first of his worshippers."
15:41111. Glory be to the Lord of the heavens and the earth, the Lord of the Throne, above what they describe.
15:49112. So leave them to plunge into vain pursuits and play until they meet their promised Day.
15:59113. He is God in heaven and God on earth; and He is the All-Wise, the All-Knowing.
16:10114. Blessed is He to whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them, and with Him is knowledge of the Hour, and to Him you will be returned.
16:24115. Those whom they invoke besides Him have no power to intercede, except for those who bear witness to the truth while they know it.
16:37116. And if you ask them who created them, they will surely say, "God." So how are they deluded?
16:48117. And he said, “O Lord, these are a people who do not believe.”
16:58118. So forgive them and say, “Peace,” for they will soon know.
