00:00And I think that this character for me was the most fun I've had playing opposite any character in the
00:05franchise
00:05because she brought such a new energy.
00:09She's just one of the best actresses I've ever worked with,
00:11but also she handled this idea of jumping into, like you said, a very tight-knit family so well.
00:28I'm going to take the third part first.
00:31No, the reason why we did a movie was we had done the show for four seasons,
00:36and I absolutely loved the long-form storytelling.
00:39And I think we had really spent a lot of time developing these characters,
00:43and you realize, which I've realized over my whole career,
00:45that really everything I've been a part of that worked,
00:47it's just about you falling in love with characters.
00:50So whatever genre it is, if you fall in love with these characters, you'll go on a ride with them.
00:54And I think that we did such a good job of telling these stories of these characters
00:58that then I started to feel we know these characters so well.
01:01I kind of want to get that thrill of, you know, watching the Harrison Ford movies
01:05or Alec Baldwin's movies and getting that more...
01:09The shorter amount of time allows for a little bit more excitement
01:12and a little bit more of a part one, two, and three kind of ticking time bomb of the story.
01:18So that's what we tried to do with the movie,
01:21and then once we were off shooting, it worked so well that I hope we get to do it again.
01:31Well, for me, the thing that always excites me about the Jack Ryan characters
01:36are the people who, you know, crash into Jack as an atom and make something happen.
01:42You know what I mean?
01:42The more Jack can play off other people, and to your point,
01:45I think Wendell Pierce is one of the best actors I've ever seen, let alone work with.
01:49So I've always been desperately trying to get more and more and more for him to do,
01:53and this was such a great storyline for him.
01:56But I think one of the things that we've been missing most in our television show
02:01and for a movie or any which way was a character for someone like Sienna.
02:05And I think that this character for me was the most fun I've had
02:09playing opposite any character in the franchise
02:11because she brought such a new energy of not only at the beginning threat,
02:17but also incredible.
02:18She's just one of the best actresses I've ever worked with,
02:21but also she handled this idea of jumping into, like you said,
02:23a very tight-knit family so well.
02:26And I think it's also really fun to play for the first time in my Jack Ryan time
02:30the CIA and MI6 relationship.
02:33And so those were all really, really big things to try to tackle,
02:37and I never would have been able to do it if it wasn't for Sienna.
02:46I think we have to wait and see.
02:48It's up to you guys to watch this movie and talk to everybody about it.
02:52The answer is yes.
02:52The answer is yes.
02:53Great.
02:54I would only make Jack Ryan movies with John.
03:03I hope it's received as any action film being released right now.
03:07I mean, I think that the one thing about Jack Ryan
03:09is we always followed the Tom Clancy playbook,
03:11and he always had sort of an idea of being prescient in times
03:16because he wrote so specifically and so beautifully
03:20and put our characters into really unbelievable circumstances.
03:25But just like Tom Clancy, we're a totally fictitious show,
03:29so it has nothing to do with what's really going on in the world,
03:31but certainly because we use his material as a base,
03:36I think that that always feels like it's possible
03:38because he was always so good.
