01:00Like, I just knew, okay, the boys are being boys, and I'm not going back there at all.
01:04I remember thinking, like, is somebody gonna say that this has gone too far?
01:11The talent was just crazy. I mean, they were great guys, don't get me wrong.
01:16Back like asses.
01:17Children.
01:18The mid-air collision between intoxicated wrestlers and a flight crew determined to prevent an all-out disaster would erupt
01:27into one of wrestling's most infamous scandals.
01:30I think people have no idea what really goes on sometimes, especially back then in pro wrestling.
01:37And this is just like a capsule of what pro wrestling was like in that era.
01:42It was just a normal occurrence for a crazy bunch of wrestlers on a plane.
01:47It seems like a crazy story to probably everyone who was watching this outside of professional wrestlers.
01:56If I never talked about the f***ing plane ride from hell again in my life, I would be very happy.
02:07The deal is finalized with WCW.
02:11However, the contract reads Shane McMahon.
02:16Oh my God!
02:17By the early 2000s, the WWF is riding a wave of unprecedented success with a roster of breakout stars and
02:25sell-out crowds across the world.
02:27Business was going really well for the WWE.
02:30Selling tickets, pay-per-view buy rates.
02:33Everybody was making money.
02:36The crowds were there every night.
02:38You're selling houses everywhere you go.
02:40Europe, the States, Canada, and everything.
02:43I mean, our show was booming.
02:44During this surge in popularity, CEO Vince McMahon acquires his competitors WCW and ECW,
02:53consolidating the industry's biggest players into an undisputed monopoly of the wrestling world.
02:58I, Vince McMahon, bought my competition.
03:02The bubble had burst in wrestling.
03:04There was literally the WWE, nothing else.
03:05If you want to make a full-time living in professional wrestling, it was the only place to be.
03:11My name is Tommy Dreamer, and I'm known as the innovator of violence.
03:15It was a much different time.
03:17There was holdovers from ECW and WCW, and we're all just trying to find our way in the WWE.
03:28You've got to wonder how long he had been planning this ECW assault on the WWF.
03:39I'm Jim Ross, and I was the vice president of talent relations.
03:43My job in a nutshell was the overall management of the talents that appeared on television.
03:52The WWF's roster exploded in size and stature by securing talent from their former rivals,
03:59while also welcoming back returning legends.
04:02Let's nurse a nature boy!
04:05We're partners!
04:07Flair and McMahon are partners!
04:09Yeah!
04:09Ric Flair's a legend.
04:11So many of our younger guys grew up watching him,
04:15idolizing him,
04:16and trying to take things from Ric's game and add to theirs.
04:21So yeah, having Ric in the locker room was a positive thing.
04:24I love my job.
04:26I love helping build that talent roster.
04:29Because I think that having those talents was a great reason,
04:33perhaps we could say the only reason,
04:36that the business was crazy.
04:37It blew up.
04:39Bubble!
04:39Everything was getting better.
04:42Millions upon millions of dollars.
04:44Thanks to the men and the women that came to work for us on that team.
04:50As the momentum in the States grew,
04:53so did the momentum in the UK grow.
04:57In May 2002,
04:59the company travels to Europe for a four-day tour,
05:03concluding with a sold-out pay-per-view event in London.
05:06It's probably one of the best crowds when we go overseas,
05:09so we're always amped up,
05:10we're always looking forward to it.
05:12And to be honest,
05:12the pace pretty good when we go overseas,
05:14because the crowds are so big.
05:16So yeah, I'd say the morale was high,
05:18and we were stoked to have some good times.
05:21My name is PJ Polacco,
05:23and you may know me as the hardcore icon Justin Credible.
05:26Some of the big names on that trip
05:28were certainly Stone Cold Steve Austin,
05:31The Undertaker was on the flight,
05:32Scott Hall, Kevin Nash,
05:35Brock Lesnar was on the flight,
05:36Ric Flair was on the flight,
05:38and many others,
05:39so it was stacked.
05:40It's a long flight,
05:42and we thought that by chartering a customized jet,
05:48that we were being as talent-friendly as we could.
05:53Unfortunately,
05:56it didn't work out well.
06:01My name is Heidi Doyle,
06:03and in 2002,
06:04I was a flight attendant on the European charter
06:06for the WWE.
06:09I worked for a company called Sports Jet.
06:11It was a private airline
06:12that flew many of the different sports teams
06:14out of the Phoenix area,
06:16the Phoenix Suns and the Phoenix Coyotes.
06:18We also flew the Utah Jazz and the Mariners.
06:21A normal commercial Boeing 757 would have 190 seats,
06:25and our flight had 50 leather seats
06:27and bigger carpet than I've ever had in my own house.
06:29There's couches and lounge areas.
06:31It's just not a very bad way to travel.
06:33It costs a lot to do it privately,
06:35but you also get many benefits.
06:37You get to order your own food.
06:37You know what you're going to eat.
06:38You know you're all going to be comfortable.
06:40You know that you don't have to deal
06:41with anybody of the general public on the airplane.
06:45You're just amongst the group that's your people.
06:48It's just nice to know
06:49that we're not going to offend anyone.
06:51Like, sometimes when the boys are on flights
06:53and they're a bit obnoxious,
06:55it's kind of like you go, like,
06:56oh, gosh, are we going to, you know, sorry.
07:01Hi, I'm Terry Reynolds,
07:02and I was a passenger on the plane ride from hell.
07:06Roll dust along with...
07:07It's a woman carrying a cigar.
07:10I remember sitting in the first-class section.
07:12I think Jim Ross was up there,
07:16Linda and Vince.
07:18The front had a lounge area,
07:19so it was kind of like your first class
07:21of the first class, I guess, of the airplanes.
07:23And generally, the coaches and the managers
07:25sat up there.
07:26And in this case, Vince McMahon and his wife,
07:28they were up there,
07:29and then the wrestlers were in the back.
07:31So I was in the back
07:32with the majority of the wrestlers.
07:35My responsibility in the very back
07:37was getting them the drinks,
07:38getting the meals out to them.
07:40They were hungry.
07:40They wanted to try all the different meals
07:42that were on the airplane.
07:44Ric Flair had talked to all of us a lot.
07:46He was very chatty,
07:47and he was kind of like the captain of the team,
07:50I would say.
07:50He had that kind of feel,
07:51and he was very, very nice and personable to us.
07:55He was a little flirty, I think.
07:5999% of the time we had men.
08:01That's who we were working with.
08:03You just had to be aware
08:04of getting too comfortable, I think,
08:06because that can always just create a situation
08:07that different people
08:09can have different thoughts
08:11of the level of comfortableness.
08:13But on the flight to Europe,
08:15there's no problems.
08:18After an uneventful eight-hour flight
08:21across the Atlantic,
08:22the charter arrives at its first stop
08:24on the tour,
08:25Cologne, Germany.
08:33My name is Rob Van Dam,
08:37WWE Hall of Famer
08:39and the whole damn show.
08:42It's cool to see
08:44how you affect these other cultures,
08:48you know, in other countries.
08:50RBD made it almost, yeah.
08:53They had some die-hard fans,
08:55let me tell you what.
08:56The Germans were very into the WWE,
08:58and it was very, yeah,
08:59it was an intense, enlightening experience
09:01the match was.
09:03Our flight attendants,
09:05they were with us almost every day.
09:07Some came to the show,
09:08some were partying at the hotels
09:12with the wrestlers at the bars.
09:14In the 80s and 90s,
09:15these flight attendants,
09:17they kind of would party with you,
09:19hang out with you in the back,
09:20drink with you.
09:21Hello, I'm Michael Kiyota.
09:23Worked for the World Wrestling Entertainment
09:25for 35 years.
09:27WWF referee Mike Kiyota!
09:31Yeah, I used to go out,
09:32meet up with some flight attendants
09:33down at the bar.
09:35They might be staying at the same hotel,
09:36or you'd go to their hotel
09:37on a five-minute cab ride.
09:40We went downstairs and had drinks
09:42when the wrestlers came back
09:43from the first match in Germany.
09:46We chatted a little bit with them
09:47that first night.
09:48It was my first trip back to work
09:50after having a baby,
09:52and I was so enjoying my time
09:53resting in my room
09:55and getting to order room service
09:56and not have to wake up
09:58at all hours of the night.
09:59But I only went to the one match in Germany.
10:01You literally will wrestle in Germany,
10:03and the next day you wake up,
10:04you're in Scotland.
10:06You wake up the next day,
10:07you're in London.
10:09By the time we got to London,
10:11usually everybody's really stoked.
10:12I remember it being a Saturday night
10:14because that's when the pay-per-view aired
10:16traditionally over there,
10:18and it was WWE's pay-per-view Insurrection.
10:22The city of London is on fire!
10:24This is Insurrection!
10:26It was a packed house.
10:28European crowds love us.
10:30All the tickets for this event
10:31sold out in 21 minutes!
10:33I remember the show being solid.
10:35The talents seemed to be happy
10:36with their performances,
10:38and they were even more happy
10:40to get back on the plane
10:41and go home.
10:42Oh, well, I had been away from my daughter
10:44for the first time,
10:45and it was...
10:46I was more than excited
10:47to go see her.
10:49Yeah.
10:50The excitement to return home
10:52is quickly deflated
10:53as the passengers
10:54are delivered troubling news.
10:57Everyone took their seats,
10:58and we taxied out onto the tarmac,
11:00and we got advised
11:02that we were on a weather hold
11:03from Connecticut.
11:04When we were told
11:05it was a weather delay,
11:06I bet we probably all thought
11:07maybe 20 minutes,
11:0840 minutes, an hour tops.
11:10Well, we were delayed
11:14for seven hours
11:16before the plane takes off.
11:19So we sat on the tarmac
11:21for a little while.
11:24Commercial airlines,
11:24you would all be familiar
11:25with the small little mini bottles
11:26that we had,
11:28just normal bottles.
11:30And the liquor cart ran out
11:32of alcohol,
11:33and another liquor cart
11:36was ordered at their request,
11:39and that was also drank,
11:41so that liquor cart ran out.
11:45And then a third one was ordered.
11:47And how common is it
11:49to, like, go through a cart
11:50before a plane takes off?
11:51I've never, ever done it
11:52ever before,
11:53and never again.
11:54And we went through three.
11:57Imagine your varsity football team.
12:00They just won a game,
12:02except they can't get out
12:04of the parking lot,
12:05and there's cases and cases of beer.
12:08That's what it's like.
12:09A bunch of high school guys.
12:12To say it's high school
12:13is really like giving it too much.
12:15It's more like fifth grade.
12:17Even though it was
12:18their plane in a sense,
12:20we served the drinks still,
12:23but that became not the case.
12:25They started to serve themselves
12:27the drinks,
12:27and they didn't want our help.
12:29I was very concerned
12:31about the carts
12:33being replenished
12:34on the ground.
12:36If they were to try
12:37to cut us off,
12:38we would have gotten
12:39to that booze.
12:40Somebody would have.
12:41Flair probably could have
12:42thrown a couple thousand dollars
12:44at them and said,
12:45here, take this.
12:46We're going to get the,
12:46we're going to get that liquor.
12:48We would have got the liquor.
12:50Absolutely.
12:51I think the relief
12:52that they're finally going home
12:54was cause for celebration.
12:56And they only got
12:57a small window now
12:58to really let their hair down
13:00and become stupid.
13:03And that's a lot of choice to do.
13:12After spending several grueling hours
13:15grounded on the tarmac
13:16and indulging in an unlimited
13:18supply of alcohol,
13:19the passengers aboard
13:20WWF's private charter
13:22are relieved as the jet
13:24is finally cleared for takeoff.
13:26I don't remember how long
13:27we've been up in the air before.
13:29It was very, very evident
13:31that we had a lot of drunk people.
13:34Oh, shoot.
13:35The boys could,
13:35they could get drunk in one hour.
13:37When you're doing GHB
13:39or pills or anything like that,
13:40Percocets or Vicodins
13:42and stuff that were around,
13:43you could do a lot of damage,
13:45period, in one hour.
13:46But it was always booze and pills
13:47in the WWE
13:48because we had
13:50doctor's prescriptions.
13:51And as long as you had
13:52a doctor's prescription,
13:53it was okay.
13:54Of course it wasn't
13:55because, you know,
13:56we'd have doctors write us
13:58whatever we wanted.
14:00Halcyons, GHB, Placidil.
14:02No, the Placidils,
14:03I think were in the early 90s.
14:06But I know there was some GHB
14:07and Halcyons on a flight.
14:09Halcyons were some things
14:10that we took sometimes
14:12just to go to sleep
14:13for a long period of time.
14:15And sometimes you use them
14:17for a rib too.
14:46Way back in the day,
14:47the places that I've been.
14:51Never leave your drink exposed
14:53because the boys think
14:55to see somebody
14:56froth at the mouth
14:57and slur their speech
14:59and they can't stand up,
15:02manage their own faculties.
15:04It's funny.
15:06The story was out
15:07that Michael got H-bombed.
15:09What was his role
15:10at that point?
15:12Michael Hayes
15:12worked at creative
15:13at that point in time.
15:14I don't know if he was
15:15officially an agent,
15:17a coach, a producer.
15:18They'd gone through
15:19several names
15:19that all did the same thing.
15:21With the Alcyon in his body,
15:23and I don't know
15:24what else could have been in there.
15:25He was not himself.
15:27And he made bad decisions.
15:30Bradshaw had gotten split open
15:32the night of the pay-per-view.
15:34Oh, yes!
15:35He did!
15:35Busted open.
15:37As Bradshaw was sleeping,
15:39Michael Hayes
15:39just knocked him in his head
15:41and reopened the wound.
15:43So now JBL is bleeding
15:45all over his shirt.
15:47So JBL slapped him
15:49and knocked him out.
15:51He knocked out Michael Hayes.
15:54We're like,
15:55holy shit.
15:57Then I hear, like,
15:58chanting for X-Pac.
16:00X-Pac was one of the sweetest
16:02guys in the world.
16:03He really is.
16:04J Strongbow used to call him
16:06the trailer hitch
16:07because he was always
16:08following the big load
16:09of Hal and Nash.
16:11I want to know
16:12to get my hands on Oscar.
16:15But he wanted to be
16:15accepted so badly
16:16and perceived as
16:17a main event guy.
16:20Michael Hayes
16:21had been marrying me
16:22in the booking meetings
16:23and he's got that
16:24ponytail, that mullet.
16:26So as he's out cold,
16:28I grabbed that
16:29tail and I lifted up
16:31like the next one.
16:33I remember the big pop
16:35and it was like him
16:36holding up the title
16:37but he had the ponytail.
16:42Back in the day,
16:43you were not allowed
16:44to sleep on those flights.
16:45You would end up
16:46with a shaved eyebrow.
16:48You always had to
16:49have one eye open,
16:50so to speak,
16:51when you're on a plane
16:52full of the boys.
16:53I had my hat on,
16:55my sunglasses,
16:56even though it was
16:56nighttime,
16:57you had to wear
16:58all that stuff
16:58because you didn't know
17:00who was coming by
17:00with shaving cream.
17:02If somebody went
17:03to lift your shades up,
17:04you had a chance
17:04of waking up
17:05or take your hat off.
17:06You have a chance
17:07of waking up
17:07and kicking out real quick.
17:12The roster is especially
17:14on guard
17:14for any potential hijinks,
17:16finding themselves
17:17in the presence
17:18of one of the industry's
17:19most legendary pranksters.
17:21What else would you expect
17:22from Mr. Perfect?
17:24Kurt, boy,
17:25he knows how to rib.
17:26He was one of the best
17:27ribbers in the business.
17:29Ribs started happening
17:30once Kurt came back
17:32into the company.
17:33Kurt would always
17:35play with Brock.
17:37Brock was sitting
17:39in his chair
17:40and Kurt Henning
17:43put shaving cream
17:44on his head.
17:46He went splat
17:47and splatted
17:48on his head.
17:50Next thing I know,
17:51Brock is chasing Kurt
17:53like a full sprint.
17:55You know,
17:55like wham, wham.
17:58Brock went right behind him.
17:59And then Brock
18:00just swoops him up.
18:02So now you have
18:03Brock Lesnar
18:04who's 6'4".
18:05And he's picking up
18:05Kurt Henning
18:06who's about 6'4".
18:07They went into one row
18:09like a bunch of the guys
18:10had to move.
18:11So they would go
18:12from one side
18:13of the fuselage
18:13and then into the other
18:14and the overhead bins
18:15got broken
18:15and the tables got broken
18:17and armrests got broken up.
18:19Things started to break,
18:20yeah,
18:20because they're just so big.
18:21Like I do remember
18:22one of the seats,
18:24like the middle of the seat
18:25came completely off.
18:28And as a safety professional,
18:30there's not a damn thing
18:30I can do
18:31to stop these two men.
18:32Like there's not a damn thing
18:33I can do
18:33to get them to hear my voice.
18:36One of the wrestlers
18:37had commandeered our PA.
18:38So in the middle
18:39of the fight going on
18:40we have someone yelling
18:41at the airplane,
18:41we're going to die,
18:42we're all going to die.
18:43So here comes one of the pilots
18:44at the back of the airplane
18:46trying to get these two men
18:47to stop slamming each other
18:49against the fuselage
18:50and they wouldn't even listen
18:51to him.
18:53One of our illustrious agents
18:55said you need to come back here.
18:58So I go back there
18:59and they're play fighting.
19:01It's just they're play fighting
19:02in the emergency exit room.
19:05Brock picks Kurt up
19:08and then they hit
19:08the emergency door.
19:11This was a big boom.
19:14Everyone jumped up
19:15and we're like,
19:16stop, stop.
19:17It was their own teammates
19:18that finally got to stop
19:19because they were scared.
19:21I'm not a mechanical engineer.
19:22I don't know what all it takes
19:23to pop that security door,
19:25but I didn't want to find out
19:26at 30,000 feet above the air.
19:28You have all these people.
19:30Could you imagine what happens
19:31if that door opened?
19:32If you think about it,
19:34it's physically impossible
19:36to open that door.
19:37They would have no idea
19:38of knowing the door
19:38couldn't pop out.
19:40But they were throwing
19:41each other against the fuselage
19:42and if that fuselage breaks,
19:44the airplane could depressurize it.
19:45Now you're doing
19:46an emergency landing
19:46and where are you going to land
19:47if you're over the Atlantic?
19:49The weight and the size
19:50that they are of wrestlers,
19:52I mean, they could go
19:52through a wall in a house.
19:53Why couldn't they go through
19:54a wall in an airplane?
19:55Because just the banging,
19:57you know, was, you know,
19:58Brock is so big.
20:00He was just thick, solid,
20:03big bear is right, man.
20:04He was a solid boy, young.
20:06Oh, this guy!
20:08He was getting a big push.
20:10Brock Lesnar is an animal!
20:12Brock was very new
20:13to the business
20:13and he exposed himself to me
20:15at the Insurrection pay-per-view
20:18like a real dick.
20:20I remember that night
20:22I was doing interviews.
20:27I was backstage
20:29and I hear my name called
20:31and Brock was in this room.
20:33Dustin was in the room,
20:34my ex-husband at the time.
20:37And Brock did the whole thing.
20:42I no-sold it.
20:43Went to my dressing room.
20:44Dustin came in.
20:45He's like,
20:46don't sell it.
20:47I'm like,
20:48I'm not selling it.
20:49I didn't sell it.
20:50Not gonna.
20:51In other words,
20:52let it lie.
20:53Leave it alone.
20:57I had complaints
20:59about Brock Lesnar's behavior
21:00on the plane.
21:03But I don't recall any advances
21:07or reported advances
21:10from Brock to Terry Reynolds.
21:13Could it have happened?
21:15Of course it could have happened.
21:17It could have happened.
21:19I did my job
21:21to the best of my ability
21:22to look out for the talent.
21:24I can't follow everybody around
21:26to see if they're acting like an adult.
21:28That should not be my job.
21:31It really should.
21:40After the terrifying brawl
21:42at 30,000 feet,
21:43the passengers try to settle in
21:45as the WWF roster
21:47is due to perform
21:48on live television
21:50the following day.
21:51Got TVs tomorrow.
21:53You know,
21:53it's like,
21:53let's get some rest now.
21:55I'm leaning against the window,
21:56you know,
21:58sleeping.
21:58And all of a sudden,
22:00I hear this very familiar voice.
22:04And Dustin,
22:06my ex-husband,
22:07starts singing
22:09a David Allen Coe song
22:11called Pledging My Love.
22:13Forever, my darling,
22:15my love will be true.
22:16Always and forever,
22:18I'll love only you.
22:20I immediately am like,
22:22mortified.
22:23Everyone that's just
22:24drifted off to sleep
22:25is now woken up by,
22:26yeah,
22:27this man.
22:29I was about to get up
22:30and go back there
22:31and tell him to stop.
22:32But Polly was across the aisle
22:35and he looked at me,
22:36he's like,
22:38don't sell it.
22:39Don't sell it.
22:40So I left it alone.
22:42It seems like
22:43whenever somebody
22:44does something to you,
22:46people say,
22:46don't sell it.
22:46Don't sell it.
22:47Because that's just
22:48the smartest way
22:50to deal with our business.
22:51Just don't sell it.
22:54If Dustin could sing,
22:56it would have made it
22:57a little bit easier.
22:59But he couldn't carry
23:00a tune in a bucket.
23:01I did not like his behavior.
23:03I generally felt for the guy
23:05in the sense,
23:06he was obviously hurting,
23:07you know.
23:08That pain was real.
23:09No,
23:10I don't like to see
23:10anyone hurting like that.
23:12However,
23:14he still should have
23:15given me my microphone back.
23:17It got uncomfortable.
23:18It got uncomfortable.
23:20Like,
23:21you know,
23:21J.R. had to stop that.
23:23You know,
23:24he literally went up
23:25to Dustin and said,
23:26set your ass down.
23:28Go to sleep.
23:30You know,
23:31give us all a break.
23:32Eventually he passed out.
23:33That's how we got our PA back.
23:35He fell asleep
23:36and I got
23:36the microphone from him.
23:38If I was a flight attendant,
23:41to be on that flight
23:42that night
23:42would have been
23:43probably one of the worst
23:44experiences of my career.
23:46Some young ladies
23:47just trying to do their job
23:48and just trying to get home.
23:51You know,
23:52I could imagine it being
23:53very disheartening for them
23:54and scary in some ways,
23:55I'm sure.
23:58Hours into the flight,
24:00the mid-air chaos
24:01shows no signs
24:02of slowing down.
24:04There was another situation
24:05that occurred
24:06with Ric Flair
24:08for me
24:09that was very
24:09uncomfortable.
24:12Sometimes,
24:12as a joke,
24:13Ric Flair
24:14would put on his robe,
24:16not wear
24:17anything else
24:18and walk that aisle
24:20like Ric Flair
24:21and then open it up
24:22and
24:22woo!
24:24That's the big high spot.
24:25I wanted to see Ric
24:26coming out naked
24:27in his robe
24:28and so he did it
24:28on the airplane
24:29for everybody
24:30and
24:31that's what
24:32the guys want to see.
24:33That's what makes them laugh.
24:35He could move his hips
24:36and twirl it
24:37and so his
24:39well-endowed
24:40penis
24:42spins around
24:43like a helicopter.
24:44So,
24:44hey,
24:45he's the nature boy
24:46for a reason.
24:46He's got a hammer on him.
24:48He's the life of the party
24:51and
24:51if you know him,
24:53you know where
24:54to exit the party
24:57and go to your own
24:58safe place
25:00or
25:01you
25:02don't know the rules
25:03and you find yourself
25:05in deep water
25:05and that may have happened.
25:09and that was in the galley.
25:11The galleys were
25:12our little kitchener
25:13on an airplane.
25:15Ric Flair was naked
25:16in a cape only
25:17and then
25:18he decided to come back
25:19to the galley
25:20to get a coke
25:21and then he wouldn't
25:21leave the galley.
25:23He had me up
25:24back against the back door
25:25and I couldn't
25:28I couldn't move.
25:29I couldn't get away from him.
25:30I couldn't
25:32I couldn't
25:32I couldn't move.
25:35He was spitting
25:36around his penis
25:37and he wanted me
25:38to touch it
25:38and
25:39he took my hand
25:41and
25:42put it on him.
25:45Ric Flair is not going
25:46to try to impose
25:48by force
25:50any sexual
25:51stuff
25:52on
25:52to anybody.
25:54He's just flaunting
25:56styling
25:57and profile
25:58and doing
25:58like the Ric Flair
25:59stuff where
26:01everybody's going
26:02to laugh about it
26:04but obviously
26:05someone took
26:06offense to it.
26:08I remember him crowding
26:09the flight attendant
26:10like in the aisle
26:12way back there
26:12by the bathroom
26:13where it's like
26:14real skinny
26:14and you can't
26:15fit two people
26:16through there
26:16and stuff
26:16I remember him
26:17like crowding her
26:18and you know
26:19trying to make her
26:20touch him
26:21and stuff.
26:22And he kept me
26:23back there for
26:24I don't know how long
26:25but it felt like
26:26a really long time
26:27it wasn't short
26:28like it was
26:28it was minutes
26:30and asked him
26:31to please stop
26:32and he didn't
26:33he wouldn't.
26:38I don't remember
26:39somebody really
26:40helping me
26:41except one
26:41I believe
26:42Gold Dust
26:44who had the mic
26:46I do believe
26:47he told Ric Flair
26:49he should leave me
26:50alone eventually
26:51he should leave me
26:52alone
26:53and maybe that's
26:53why I didn't get
26:55as angry about
26:56the mic
26:57as maybe I should
26:58have
26:58you know
26:58I think he did
26:59try to help me
27:01and he was the only
27:01one that did.
27:11Let's talk about
27:12Scott Hall for a second
27:13what's his state
27:14at this point?
27:15Scott's issues
27:16have been well documented
27:18he's documented
27:20he had issues
27:21with substance abuse
27:24we were not doing
27:25him any favors
27:25putting him back
27:26on the road
27:26so he could resume
27:28his routines
27:30we didn't do it justice
27:31but we didn't know
27:32how bad it was
27:36and for those
27:37that we should have
27:38known
27:39well we didn't
27:41you don't know
27:42until you see it
27:44you interact with it
27:47we were quite close
27:49we were quite close to landing
27:49and I came to Scott Hall
27:51who had just woken up
27:52I had offered him breakfast
27:54and
27:57he grabbed my shirt
27:59and pulled me down
28:01and my shirt buttons
28:01got ripped
28:03and he had
28:05told me what he was
28:05going to do to me
28:07do you remember
28:07what he said
28:10yeah
28:11he said a number of things
28:13but other what I do remember
28:14is as my shirt ripped
28:15he told me he was
28:15going to lick me
28:17and then he proceeded
28:18to try to do that
28:20which
28:22I don't want to say scary
28:23because that might sound
28:24too dramatic
28:24but
28:25it was a moment of
28:27great
28:30violation
28:31discomfort
28:31to
28:33have a person
28:34put their hands on you
28:36without
28:37you wanting them to do that
28:38and to not let go
28:38when you ask them to
28:40and to create
28:41a level of fear
28:42when you're there
28:42to do a job
28:43and you're doing your job
28:44and now you have to be afraid
28:45that you're going to get hurt
28:48it didn't feel to me
28:49that he
28:50was going to let go
28:50anytime soon
28:53and then he passed out
28:54and I was able to
28:56you know
28:57dislodge him
28:57from
28:59me
29:01I think that
29:02Kurt
29:02H-bombed me
29:04because I've been
29:05taking pills and drinking
29:06for a lot of years
29:06at that point
29:07and I was out
29:09after that happened
29:10with Scott Hall
29:11I never left the galley
29:13I didn't serve anyone
29:16and they got angry
29:17at me for that
29:17they wanted more
29:18food and
29:18drinks
29:19and I was done
29:20I didn't come out
29:20of the galley again
29:28after spending a total
29:29of 14 nightmarish
29:31hours on the plane
29:32the weary passengers
29:33and crew
29:34finally touched down
29:35on American soil
29:36when they landed
29:37and I heard the door open
29:39yeah
29:40it was a very
29:41very excellent feeling
29:42to not be over
29:42the Atlantic anymore
29:44it was a long flight
29:45it was a very long flight
29:47the plane was trashed
29:49blankets
29:50pillows
29:51drinks
29:51cups
29:52food stepped on
29:54that normal flight
29:56they're passing by
29:57three or four times
29:58with trash bags
29:58and this and that
29:59well this wasn't
30:00a normal flight
30:01so
30:02I think Scott
30:03was passed out
30:04I think
30:04they were actually
30:05worried he was dead
30:06you know
30:07so they were all stressed
30:08like they got a dead
30:09person on this flight
30:10now
30:10and I'm like
30:12oh boy don't worry
30:13he'll kick out
30:14you know
30:15it's like
30:16he'll kick out
30:17he wouldn't wake up
30:19so I'm picking him up
30:21and I had to get him
30:23a wheelchair
30:24and literally take him
30:25through customs myself
30:27I put the sunglasses
30:28on him
30:30laid him there
30:31and he's just kind of
30:32you know
30:33I had to get his passport
30:35had to say that he had
30:36some kind of condition
30:39and there I am
30:40wheeling Razor
30:42through
30:42you know
30:43customs
30:44and there's Jim Ross
30:47he had the black hat on
30:48and just looking at me
30:50with disgust
30:50and I'm like
30:52I'm here
30:53I'm wheeling him
30:54I didn't do anything
30:56once we landed
30:58Michael Hayes
30:59woke up
31:00and his ponytail
31:01was missing
31:02and Michael Hayes
31:04was pissed
31:05off about it
31:07he was
31:08hell bent
31:08to find out
31:09who did it
31:10you know who did it
31:11you know who did it
31:12would have fought
31:13the entire plane
31:14if he could have
31:15he was really angry
31:16he was really angry
31:24and when we landed
31:26we started to pick up
31:27the airplane
31:28and there was vomit
31:29and there was blood
31:32there was syringes
31:33found in seat back pockets
31:34in other places
31:35and I'm going
31:36oh no we're not
31:37cleaning this airplane
31:38we're going to get off
31:39right now
31:39and my superior is saying
31:42no you need to clean
31:42the airplane
31:43and me just walking
31:46off the airplane
31:47you know
31:48that happened on Delta
31:49or America
31:50or whatever
31:52when we got back
31:53to the states
31:55the FBI would have been
31:56waiting on us
31:58there should have been
31:59more repercussions
32:00for sure
32:00there should have been
32:01some
32:02I don't know
32:03they did have repercussions
32:04I learned later
32:05but
32:07only I think
32:07because they knew
32:08they had to do something
32:09you know
32:09because
32:10it didn't look real good
32:11for Vince McMahon's
32:12organization
32:12I don't think
32:14for better or for worse
32:16I'm taking ownership
32:18but it was a
32:19it was a black eye
32:22good thing about a black eye
32:25you heal
32:33shortly after landing
32:35Vince McMahon
32:36and Jim Ross
32:37urgently meet
32:37to discuss repercussions
32:39for the flight's
32:40most egregious acts
32:42I just couldn't believe
32:43everything was getting
32:44out of control
32:45with Vince
32:45on a flight
32:46you know
32:46but it did
32:47it got out of control
32:48I don't know
32:49I don't know
32:50what Vince was doing
32:51during this whole time
32:52I wonder what
32:54Vince was well aware of it
32:55but it was my job
32:57to handle
32:59that's why I'm still
33:00embarrassed about it
33:01this very day
33:01it was my job
33:03to handle
33:05Vince McMahon
33:06makes the decisions
33:07but
33:08Jim Ross is the one
33:09who has to execute them
33:10Jim Ross is the guy
33:11who has to fire you
33:11as well
33:12Jim Ross is the guy
33:13who has to tell you
33:14hey you're messing up
33:14he's the guy
33:15who has to fine you
33:17that's that position
33:19it wasn't that decision
33:21on my part
33:21to cut some guys
33:23from the roster
33:25because it's what
33:26Vince McMahon
33:26told me to do
33:28and the guy
33:28that writes the checks
33:29has the last say
33:32I was troubled
33:33by Kurt's firing
33:35I just thought
33:36he had a bad night
33:37with the boys
33:39he had a reputation
33:40of becoming
33:41a practical joker
33:43and Vince had
33:44enough of it
33:46and you kind of
33:47figure maybe
33:47okay Kurt got fired
33:48but then he's
33:49going to come back
33:49and circle his way
33:50around at some point
33:51which he would
33:52have I'm sure
33:53but he passed away
33:56not too far
33:57after that
33:58and Razor
33:59I think it was
33:59just his drug addiction
34:00that kind of
34:01maybe just
34:03his career
34:04kind of slipped away there
34:06we let Scott go
34:08within hours
34:09after we got back
34:10to the states
34:13I was told
34:14to cut him
34:14now
34:16and so I called him
34:17at home
34:17and you know
34:18I just said
34:19I think we made a mistake
34:21you're not ready
34:21to get back on the road
34:22until you're better suited
34:24to handle your dealings
34:25we need to put you back
34:27in your comfort zone
34:27which meant
34:28at home
34:29primarily
34:32Dustin Rhodes
34:33is one of my favorite
34:34people in the world
34:35we go back a long way
34:37I don't know
34:38if it was just the rebound
34:39if it was divorce
34:40or Terry
34:41what it was
34:41but he was in a
34:43tough place
34:45but
34:46no excuse
34:47so
34:48you know
34:49he was
34:49dipping his snuff
34:51and
34:52and using
34:52the seat back cushion
34:53as a spittoon
34:56I had two options
34:57find him
34:58that I'll get his attention
35:01or fire him
35:03which I thought
35:04was extreme
35:05and
35:06did not need to have
35:07that was my call
35:10he learned
35:11from his mistakes
35:11he was immature
35:13he had substance abuse issues
35:16and
35:17sometimes
35:18he controlled them
35:18and sometimes
35:19he didn't
35:20but the bottom line
35:21is
35:21is that
35:23we have to stop
35:24in our society
35:25letting other
35:26transgressions go
35:27without punishment
35:30how is it that
35:31Ric Flair evaded
35:32any sort of
35:33suspension
35:34or anything like that
35:41good question
35:46I guess
35:48lack of a better term
35:49he was a made man
35:53and he was such
35:54a high level
35:54made man
35:58he got a pass
36:01was it right thing
36:02to do
36:02I don't know
36:04you're listening
36:05to it folks
36:05you decide
36:07he got a pass
36:10as the WWF
36:12deals with
36:12the fallout
36:13from the flight
36:14Heidi is forced
36:15to consider
36:16her next steps
36:18I remember
36:19walking off the airplane
36:19on the tarmac
36:20and we went to a hotel
36:21that was quite nearby
36:22and talking about
36:23how horrible
36:25like
36:26and the girls
36:27from the front
36:27saying
36:28they didn't know
36:29that it was that
36:30you know
36:30that it was that bad
36:32um
36:33and then I just
36:34went to my hotel room
36:35and I took a shower
36:36and I cried
36:38I called
36:39Sports Jet
36:40they said that was
36:41unfortunate
36:41that that had
36:42occurred on the airplane
36:43they preferred
36:44that we kept it
36:44to ourselves
36:45the story
36:45because we work
36:46with professional
36:47athletes
36:47and things happen
36:48on airplanes
36:48and they
36:50let us know
36:51it was expected
36:51that we would
36:52um
36:54respect the privacy
36:55of our clients
36:58so then you have
36:59to figure out
37:00how you tell
37:00your husband
37:01how was your trip
37:02well
37:02it wasn't excellent
37:03um
37:04what do you tell
37:05your husband
37:06um
37:07it can even
37:08create
37:10situations
37:10where they say
37:11well
37:11why did that
37:12happen to you
37:13or
37:13what did you do
37:14to make them
37:16do that to you
37:16and I would say
37:17that might be
37:18the worst question
37:19you could ever ask
37:20somebody who's
37:20been hurt
37:21because
37:22you already feel
37:23the sense of
37:24what did I do
37:25did I smile
37:26was I too nice
37:27to him
37:28and
37:29made you feel
37:30almost like
37:30you'd done
37:31something wrong
37:33when I hadn't
37:37but I know
37:38another girl
37:39there was another
37:39girl on the flight
37:40that was very
37:40upset about
37:41things that
37:42had similar
37:42things that
37:43had occurred
37:43to her
37:45she went
37:46to a lawyer
37:47and then she
37:48contacted me
37:48and said I
37:49should do
37:50that as well
37:52if I filed a
37:53lawsuit for
37:54every time
37:54something like
37:55that happened
37:56to me
37:56dear God
37:57I would be
37:58in court
37:59for all
38:00my adult life
38:01my sense of
38:02it was
38:03that the
38:04company
38:06wanted to
38:07address this
38:08matter
38:10take it off
38:11our books
38:13do the right
38:14thing
38:15by those
38:16that have
38:16complaints
38:17and then
38:18move on
38:21there was
38:21an agreement
38:22that was
38:22reached
38:23and
38:23you know
38:24they offered
38:24us a settlement
38:26my husband
38:27just didn't
38:28want the story
38:28told to the
38:29public
38:29maybe just
38:30to protect
38:31our daughter
38:32or him
38:32us
38:33I don't know
38:34so he was
38:35very supportive
38:36of the settlement
38:37it's sad that
38:38money has to be
38:38that compensation
38:39like
38:39I think
38:40definitely
38:41truth and
38:42honesty
38:42and change
38:43is more
38:44powerful
38:44but money
38:45is what
38:46ends up
38:46on the table
38:47I think
38:47and then
38:49it also
38:50buys you
38:50silence
38:51which then
38:51can add
38:52to another
38:52layer
38:52of the guilt
38:53of a victim
38:54like it
38:54can be a
38:55cycle that's
38:57not good
38:58yeah
38:58perpetually bad
38:59if that's how
39:01she felt
39:03maybe she
39:03should have
39:04not taken a
39:05payout
39:05and went
39:06to the fullest
39:06extent of the
39:07law
39:08to then truly
39:09put this
39:09heinous person
39:10in jail
39:12my opinion
39:13people have
39:14their own
39:14opinions
39:15of what
39:15happened
39:16what the
39:17damage was
39:18no one
39:18should really
39:18have their
39:19opinion
39:19when it
39:19didn't
39:20happen
39:20to them
39:21but they
39:21do
39:22they say
39:23you know
39:23well it wasn't
39:23that bad
39:24you're okay
39:24aren't you
39:25and now you
39:26have to live
39:26with a pain
39:27or a memory
39:28of something
39:29that you didn't
39:29bring about
39:30and that
39:31takes some
39:31work
39:39after the
39:40exhausting
39:41european tour
39:42wrestlers and
39:43management report
39:44for a live
39:44taping of
39:45monday night
39:45raw
39:46a mere 24
39:47hours after
39:48the plane
39:48touchdown in
39:49connecticut
39:49we had tv
39:50that day
39:51monday
39:52of course
39:53the talents
39:53h.a.r
39:55h.a.r
39:56what
39:58did you see
39:59what
39:59they did
40:01to haze's
40:01ponytail
40:02no
40:03what
40:05michael
40:06ace's
40:06ponytail
40:07was put
40:07into a
40:08sandwich bag
40:09that was
40:09taped
40:10to the
40:11locker room
40:11door
40:11at raw
40:12monday
40:13until i
40:14saw it
40:15and i took
40:16it down
40:16threw it
40:17away
40:18exposure of
40:19these scandalous
40:20events would
40:21mark a turning
40:22point for
40:22the wwf
40:23propelling it
40:24to rein in
40:25the public
40:26antics of
40:26its performers
40:27in a symbolic
40:28twist of fate
40:29the aftermath
40:30of the infamous
40:31plane ride
40:32from hell
40:32coincided on
40:34the same
40:34day the company
40:35was legally
40:36forced to
40:37rebrand its
40:37identity
40:41young talents
40:42coming in the
40:42business after
40:43that era
40:43i heard all
40:44the stories
40:45saw the
40:46remnants
40:46saw guys
40:48that had
40:48made millions
40:49of dollars
40:50not have
40:50two quarters
40:51rubbed
40:51together
40:54and i think
40:55they learned
40:55from their
40:56predecessors
41:00nice job
41:02it's a
41:03different culture
41:05it's a
41:05different era
41:07i think that's
41:08the upshot
41:09and maybe
41:10good news
41:11that incidents
41:12like the
41:12plane ride
41:12from hell
41:14smarten some
41:15of these
41:15younger kids
41:15up
41:16i want to
41:17be in the
41:17wrestling business
41:18i've always
41:19idolized this
41:19guy
41:20but i do
41:21know
41:21i'm not
41:22going to
41:22pattern
41:23some of
41:24my career
41:24after this
41:25guy
41:26you make
41:27good choices
41:27that way
41:29i think
41:30that there's
41:31definitely
41:31a sense
41:32of
41:32that
41:33cliché
41:33never meet
41:34your heroes
41:36the people
41:37who have
41:37watched
41:38for generations
41:39and got
41:40them through
41:41their lives
41:41i don't think
41:43that they all
41:44need to see
41:45rick flair doing
41:46the helicopter
41:46with his penis
41:47like i don't
41:48i don't really
41:50think it's good
41:51for everybody
41:52to know this
41:53about
41:54their heroes
41:55you know
41:56some of these
41:57guys are freaks
41:58i feel this is
41:59trying to portray
42:00someone as this
42:00sexual predator
42:01and it's not
42:02it's a joke
42:03it's a gag
42:04and
42:06today
42:071000%
42:08inappropriate
42:09my hairstyle
42:10is inappropriate
42:10right now
42:11i am somehow
42:12offending someone
42:13right now
42:13with my double
42:14ponytail
42:15how dare i have
42:16two ponytails
42:17and my answer is
42:18i'm 50 years old
42:18i'm happy i have
42:19hair
42:20but if you're
42:21asking me
42:22i've hung out
42:23with rick flair
42:24i've never seen
42:24him try to force
42:25his will
42:27against anybody
42:29i don't feel
42:30that his intent
42:30was to rape
42:31me
42:33but what he did
42:34was wrong
42:34it was wrong
42:36and he goes
42:37to sleep that
42:38night
42:38and thinks he
42:39made it back
42:40from his wrestling
42:40trip in europe
42:41and maybe he has
42:42a headache
42:42because he had
42:43too many cocktails
42:43on the airplane
42:45and yet
42:47that night
42:47i didn't go
42:48to sleep
42:50my trip
42:50to work
42:51my trip
42:52to get money
42:52to support
42:53my daughter
42:54becomes a memory
42:55that is mine
42:55forever to live
42:56with
42:56like i get
42:57to live
42:57with the fact
42:58that i had
42:58to see a naked
42:59man and get
42:59my face licked
43:00by a man
43:01that i was
43:01there to make
43:02sure he got
43:02from point
43:03a to point
43:03b safe
43:05and they
43:05went to sleep
43:06and thought
43:06they made
43:07it home safe
43:07and sound
43:08and so goes
43:09on the world
43:10you know
43:11i was
43:12uncomfortable
43:12coming to talk
43:13about this
43:14you see some
43:15stories get told
43:16and then people
43:16get ridiculed
43:17or they
43:17everything picked
43:18apart as what
43:19they did wrong
43:20when they're just
43:21telling the story
43:23but if one
43:24person that
43:26listens to this
43:27says oh my gosh
43:28i might have
43:29acted like that
43:29towards somebody
43:30and i didn't even
43:30realise i did it
43:32or if one person
43:33hears that they
43:33had something
43:34happen to them
43:34that they didn't
43:35like and they
43:37didn't feel they
43:37could speak about
43:38it because they'd
43:39get in trouble
43:40or they were
43:40made to feel
43:41that they created
43:42the situation
43:42and might have
43:43made it happen
43:43like if it could
43:44change it for one
43:45person i'd sit
43:46and have this
43:46conversation 25
43:47times again
43:49the truth the
43:50truth can be
43:51scary and the
43:51truth can be
43:53ugly and messy
43:54but at the end
43:55of the day the
43:55truth is the
43:57thing that makes
43:57us better
43:58you know
43:59you
