00:02The cheapest person you know, and the cheapest thing you've seen them do.
00:07Now, I gave the example of my dad and how at restaurants, if he has like, let's say breakfast, he
00:13has pancakes.
00:14If they charge extra for peanut butter, because he likes peanut butter on his pancakes.
00:19If they charge extra for that, he is not doing peanut butter.
00:23And we're talking about 50 cents.
00:24And he goes, it's the principle of it.
00:26I cannot believe they're charging this extra fee for peanut butter.
00:31And he's just a cheap dude.
00:34But like I was saying, this week is, now is that why he's retired comfortably?
00:39Because he has saved his money?
00:41I was going to say, those little things are how the rich always stay rich, they say.
00:46Because they're not going to pay 50 cents for peanut butter.
00:48Yeah, and my dad always said, hey, save your nickels.
00:51Save your nickels.
00:52He always says that.
00:52So maybe that's what he was literally talking about, nickels apparently.
00:57Five of them.
00:58That was very cheap.
00:59The other thing he did was, we were at Catalina Island, where the Catalina wine mixer is.
01:05It's not a real thing.
01:06The real thing, yeah.
01:07No, the Catalina Island.
01:09And there was a store you go into, kind of like Aldi, where you have to put a quarter into
01:15the shopping cart.
01:16Okay.
01:16Okay.
01:16And so my dad goes, you got to be kidding me.
01:18You have to rent?
01:19Or no, he goes, you have to, yeah, you have to rent a shopping cart?
01:22So he made all of us carry, my sister, myself, my mom, carry baskets, the carry baskets, to fill up
01:29all the groceries.
01:30He then went to complain at the end when we were checking out.
01:34He goes, I can't believe you guys charge for baskets.
01:36And they go, sir, you get the quarter back.
01:40After you return your cart, you get the quarter back.
01:44And my mom was furious.
01:46She goes, you made me and the kids carry all these things around the whole store.
01:50And I'll be, you know, you wouldn't use a shopping cart.
01:52He couldn't believe it.
