00:02European negotiators reached an agreement to implement the controversial EU-US trade agreement.
00:08European Commission Chief Ursula von der Leyen and US President Donald Trump struck the tentative deal back in July 2025,
00:15but negotiators were stuck on how exactly to implement it.
00:19EU lawmakers had kept the deal frozen for several weeks following Trump's threats over Greenland earlier this year.
00:26They also suspended it after the US imposed new tariffs that were declared illegal by the Supreme Court.
00:33Ironically, just two weeks ago, US President Donald Trump had threatened to impose additional tariffs again if Europeans failed to
00:40implement the agreement.
00:43NEPs have now tried to secure the deal by attaching conditions,
00:46a risky move that threatens to anger Washington with additional provisions that it had not agreed to.
00:53Despite the implementation of the agreement, relations between the EU and US remain fragile,
00:59as there is a concern that the US could still use tariffs as a tool of political pressure.
01:03However, in this case, no longer-driven, it is possible.
01:07That is an Americanbasic that is the only 18-7-12 sector.
