00:00A little background here before our cup of joy here on the Andy Summer Show.
00:04I spent some time with a former co-worker of all of ours.
00:08She used to work at the radio station.
00:09Our friend Kelly.
00:11Kelly.
00:11Yeah, and now she works with Make-A-Wish.
00:14Nice.
00:15And so I'm like talking to her about Make-A-Wish, learning about it.
00:18Find out their office is in the same like parking lot as our office.
00:24You could literally walk there.
00:25It's right there.
00:26So I'm like, has the commute changed for you?
00:27Is everything good?
00:28She's like, no, it's great.
00:29So we get to talking and I learn about, you know, all the stuff that Make-A-Wish is doing.
00:34And she tells us about one Make-A-Wish kid who had the ultimate day where he joined the SWAT
00:42team for a day.
00:44Oh, that's amazing.
00:46A nine-year-old boy named Enzo.
00:48That was his dream.
00:49And so he got picked up with one of those by one of those awesome, amazing armored vehicles and driven
00:57through the city.
00:58To be a member of the SWAT team for a day.
01:00He got sworn in by the police commissioner.
01:03That's amazing.
01:05Here's his mom.
01:06To Enzo.
01:07He's always loved SWAT and police and everything.
01:09So he's really, really excited to be able to just hang out with the guys for the day and see
01:15everything that they do.
01:16And it's so cool.
01:18That's awesome.
01:18And as Make-A-Wish does, right, like the whole family was involved.
01:22So his brother Otto got to be a part of the SWAT team too.
01:26It was so special.
01:27But then I got to asking her.
01:28I was like, well, I don't know much about Make-A-Wish other than the wishes they make come true.
01:32So I'm like, how many wishes are you granting?
01:34And they service our local area.
01:36So they service the Philadelphia area, Delaware, the Susquehanna Valley.
01:40Like, it's kind of a large area.
01:42So I said, how many did you do last year?
01:44I'm thinking they're going to say, like, take a guess.
01:46What do you think?
01:47Like, 20?
01:48I was thinking maybe 50?
01:49Yeah, maybe 50.
01:50Right.
01:53333 wishes granted by this local group.
01:55That's almost one a day.
01:57Yeah.
01:57I was shook.
01:59Completely shook.
02:00And then when she told me about this SWAT team, I said, that might be the coolest wish ever.
02:04Because especially our men and women who protect and serve every single day have been put in such a bad
02:10light as of late.
02:11When really, they're just here to serve and protect us and keep us safe.
02:14So for a nine-year-old Enzo to make this his wish, oh, incredible.
02:19Big, big shout-out to Make-A-Wish and shout-out to this nine-year-old.
02:22We're fighting with you.
