00:06Andy has had her surgery.
00:09Yes.
00:10She is out.
00:11She is healthy.
00:13The doctors said it went really well, said Andy's been fantastic.
00:17Yesterday was her double mastectomy.
00:19She was diagnosed with breast cancer earlier this year, and she's expected to come home
00:25today, which is such great news.
00:27It's a strong woman.
00:28So we mentioned this at the top of the show.
00:31Hey, here's what's going on.
00:32We're so excited to share this exciting news with you about Andy's recovery.
00:37And then she went ahead and posted a story on Instagram.
00:41You can actually see it at the Andy Summers show.
00:44And here's what it had to say.
00:46Now, keep in mind, you know, she's in a hospital bed.
00:48So there's some beeps and some boops and some noises in the background, some machines rolling.
00:53But take a listen to what she had to say.
00:55Hey there.
00:56I'm feeling well.
00:57Thank you to everyone for all of your good vibes and your prayers and all the things.
01:04I don't have much of an appetite, so I haven't been eating, but I know that I have to boost
01:08my strength.
01:09So hopefully I'll get some eggs for breakfast.
01:12In the meantime, Oreos it is.
01:18So I have to say, and I don't want to be selfish in this moment, but the point, the funny
01:24part was she texted me the night before.
01:26I was texting her, hyping her up, telling her how great she's going to be.
01:29And my wife put together a little care package for Andy with some new PJs, some Oreos, a book.
01:36And she took a picture of her bag and said, packing the essentials.
01:40And in it, in the hospital bag was an entire case of Oreos.
01:44I thought she was doing a bit, but she brought the Oreos to the hospital, which I, it's so sweet
01:50and amazing.
01:52And I mean, if you know Andy even a little bit, you know, Oreos, it is the way to her
01:57heart.
01:57But that's good.
01:58It's good she's eating something.
02:00Something.
02:00Nonetheless.
02:01Yeah, she's getting sugar.
02:02She's hoping for eggs, but for now, Oreos will do.
02:06So, yeah, we're going to keep you updated throughout today.
02:09My guess is that she won't be going home before the end of our show today.
02:14Looking like she's going to, you know, get some sign-offs from some doctors and probably go home late morning,
02:19early afternoon.
02:20So, and then when she's home, oh, it's so much better recovering from anything at home.
02:25Oh, yeah, in your own bed.
02:26Yeah, in your own bed, your own couch, your own streaming apps, your own kitchen, your own bathroom, your own
02:33dog.
02:34The hospital dogs are way different than the ones you have at home.
02:37You know, it's just totally different world.
02:39So, we're going to keep you updated on how Andy's doing.
02:42But for now, big news, exciting news.
02:45It's huge.
