00:00What does meaningful participation in global health discussions look like, especially from
00:04a Taiwanese youth perspective?
00:06I think we have to define first what is meaningful participation.
00:10So from a Taiwanese youth perspective, we can see that there are a lot of youth, or
00:16let's say young students, they're really eager to join in these conversations.
00:21But the thing is, for them to turn all these conversations into action, this part is missing
00:26because we are not being invited to all the official side events, or let's say all the
00:32official campaigns or activities.
00:35For our association, we try to establish this platform for all young people and also youth
00:42because we wanted to bridge this gap between just words and actions.
00:47How would joining or not being able to join WHA, WHO events affect your career path as a
00:53Taiwanese youth?
00:53I think this could spread into like two parts.
00:56The first part would be, I think for all youth, or let's say the ones who is going to, I
01:03mean,
01:04trying to step into the world and trying to look for their first job, validation is the
01:08most important thing.
01:09If we were not able, well, we are not able to join into all these official sites, the validation
01:15could be a problem because we have so many passions.
01:17We do so many things, we advocate for a lot of things.
01:21From a global health perspective, especially looking forward to the next decades, how does
01:26access to global healthcare and networks look like?
01:28I feel like the other people from other countries, they have an abundance of resources and so
01:35many senior experts will lead them into this world.
01:39But for us, for the Taiwanese young professionals, we are hard to find the ways to enter into
01:46the global health affairs and develop our career.
01:49This is what our organization wants to do.
01:52We want to create the meaningful participants and sustainable platform for the younger generations
02:01to build the strong concept about the global health for them.
02:06So, so far here during your time in Geneva, what conversations have you had with local experts
02:10that you have found interesting?
02:12Yesterday, we just finished our conference.
02:15We were talking about the ethics and the sustainable issues on digital health.
02:21So, one of the experts just reflects to me that she is really interesting in how young professionals
02:29can contribute to, it is hard to imagine like the young professional can really make a change
02:35on this topic.
02:36But my response is, although young professionals is not the major role, doesn't play the major
02:44role in these systems, but we can bring the concept into the younger generation.
02:50So, first question, please.
