An inquest has opened into the death of two teenagers who were involved in a fatal Iwade crash on January 4th 2026.

David Brooks-Horsley reports.
Transcript
00:00So David, what happened in the accident?
00:02So on January 3rd this year, 17-year-old Adam Dozinski was driving a blue Ford Fiesta
00:08that held two passengers, 16-year-old Chloe Naylor and an unnamed 16-year-old girl.
00:14The vehicle crashed on Old Ferry Road in Eyewade and this accident led to the tragic death
00:19of both Adam and Chloe.
00:21I see, and we know an inquest is opened, but what do we know about that so far?
00:25So yeah, an inquest has opened at Oakwood House in Maidstone and so far they've heard
00:30that the calf had flipped over and ended up submerged in water next to the carriageway.
00:35Coroner Catherine Wood told the hearing that 17-year-old Adam Dozinski's course of death
00:40was given as a multi-organ system failure.
00:44Now the unnamed 16-year-old girl was taken to hospital and later discharged.
00:48A full hearing will be heard on June 8th.
00:51I see, and how has the local community responded in the months after the crash?
00:55So floral tributes were left at the scene on the week of the accident and from then two
01:00separate GoFundMe pages have been set up for the deceased teenagers, raising a combined
01:05total of more than £10,000 for both of their families.
01:09One was set up by one of Chloe Naylor's family friends, Eleanor Olsen.
01:13She spoke out to say, I am therefore creating a GoFundMe page as Donna would like to have
01:18a horse and carriage at Chloe's funeral so Chloe can go as a princess.
01:23On Adam's GoFundMe page he was described as always smiling and full of life and his loss
01:29has left such a huge hole in everyone who knew him.
01:33So David, are there any proposed road safety improvements for this stretch of the road?
01:36So remains of other cars from previous accidents on this same stretch of road are still at that
01:43scene.
01:44Highway to parish councillor Kelvin Rivers Simpson says something needs to be done.
01:48He stated it's very dangerous.
01:50The parish council are looking at doing something in that corner there because it is so dangerous.
01:55He added it is on the highways improvement plan.
01:58They were talking about a roundabout one time, but things move very slowly.
02:02That will be actively dealt with in the not too distant future.
02:06So well thank you for making us that story David.
