00:16the coastbound carriageway has now been reopened following a fatal collision on tuesday night
00:23now this comes as a man in his 50s who lives locally to the area was hit by several vehicles
00:31including a red man hgv and the authorities are saying that he was on foot on the carriageway
00:39when he was struck by these vehicles and pronounced dead at the scene now his next of kin have been
00:44informed of this now the incident happened on the coastbound carriageway as i mentioned
00:50between junction 4 and the slip road to the medway services which you can actually see
00:55just behind me there now lane one and this slip road remain closed and national highways are saying
01:02that they're going to remain closed for the duration of the day now the london-bound stretch of the
01:07carriageway so going in the opposite direction was also closed yesterday as police carried out
01:12their investigation but was reopened at around 5 p.m yesterday evening national highways are saying
