00:00Two critically endangered frog species from Ghana are now on display at London Zoo as part of an
00:06international conservation effort. The two species, the Etewa Slippery Frog and the Afia Biragos
00:12Puddle Frog, face growing threats from mining in Ghana's Etewa Hills Forest Reserve.
00:18Conservationists say fewer than 1,500 Etewa Slippery Frogs remain in the wild,
00:23while Afia Biragos Puddle Frog is thought to survive in only two pools.
00:27The frogs arrived in London through a partnership between scientists and conservation groups
00:33in both Ghana and Britain. London Zoo says that after this point it became the first
00:38institution worldwide to breed the Etewa Slippery Frog in human care.
