European zoos lead effort to return Africa’s rarest antelope to Kenya in conservation first

Africa’s rarest and largest antelope is receiving crucial help from European zoos after habitat loss and poaching has left less than 50 mountain bongo remaining in the wild.Four male bongos bred in European zoos will be transported to the Mount Kenya Wildlife Conservancy to help strengthen breeding and rewilding efforts.
