00:32PH Chairman Anwar Ibrahim, who is also the Prime Minister, said PH is prepared to contest every
00:38seat in Negusambilan, Selangor, Penang, and Pahang if BN chooses confrontation.
00:44Wang Jinhua of Sunway University said attacks between PH and BN during the campaign could
00:49make their federal partnership untenable, but he also noted that multi-cornered fights may
00:53encourage voters to turn out.
00:55He suggested that PH and BN consider a model similar to Gabung and Rakyat Sabah, where
01:00they contest most seats, but avoid direct fights in some areas, especially Perikata
01:05Nacional strongholds.
01:07However, Azmi Hassan of Academy of Nusantara dismissed attention as noise and rhetoric, saying
01:12PH-BN ties remain relatively strong and that some form of cooperation between BN and PH will
01:18likely continue.
