Après avoir piloté la dernière trilogie Star Wars, J.J. Abrams revient à ce qu’il fait de mieux : la série télé. C’est sur le petit écran qu’il a forgé sa réputation, en réinventant le feuilleton contemporain avec des œuvres comme Alias, Fringe, et surtout Lost : les disparus. Avec Duster, il opère un retour maîtrisé, renouant avec une narration à tiroirs, des personnages à double fond et une tension qui monte scène après scène.
