00:04softened its doom and gloom take on the impacts of climate change. The United Nations-backed group,
00:10the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, recently adjusted its outlook for the next 75
00:15years. The group had been calling for four to five degrees of warming by the year 2100. Also,
00:22those degrees there are in Celsius because apparently that makes an important science-y
00:25distinction here. Now, that may not sound like much, four to five degrees, but scientists had
00:31issued that figure to calculate things like a dramatic rise in sea levels, massive failures of
00:36crops around the globe, melting glaciers, real doom and gloom and today's stuff. The IPCC adjusted that
00:42guidance and President Trump cheered, posting, quote, the United Nations top climate committee just
00:48admitted that its own predictions were wrong, wrong, wrong. For far too long, climate activism has been
00:53used by Democrats to scare Americans, push horrible energy policies and fund billions into their bogus
01:00research programs. Now, the scientists behind the change noted that decreased cost and increased
01:05adoption of renewable energy and more research into the whole thing is the reason that they adjusted
01:10their findings.
