00:00In the Netherlands, social organizations marched through the streets of Rotterdam on Friday
00:05to mark the anniversary of the Napa and defending the right of return of Palestinians 78 years
00:11after the start of their forced displacement.
00:13This way, demonstrators have held large cardboard geese in solidarity with those who were forced
00:20to leave their lands by Israeli forces in 1948.
00:23Protesters explained that the day serves as a reminder that more than 750,000 Palestinians
00:30were expelled in that year but continue to hold on to the keys to their properties as
00:35a symbol of their right to return.
00:38Let's recall that every year on May 15, Palestinians around the world commemorate the Napa or catastrophe
00:44in Arabic marking the mass displacement from their homes and villages following the establishment
00:50of the State of Israel.
00:55After almost 80 years, Palestinians are still oppressed and murdered and they don't have
01:03the right to return to their homes.
01:06Their homes are being stolen all the time, Gaza is being bombed, the West Bank is being raided,
01:12so we're standing here to memorise all the Palestinians who were killed in 1948 but also now and yesterday
01:28and 10 years ago.
01:31So we're remembering them today but we're also asking for justice.
01:38To remind us that more than 750,000 persons who had to leave their homes were expelled from their country,
01:48from their homeland but still kept their keys so they have the right to return.
01:55And that's why we remember the Nakba today carrying these keys.
02:02We're taking care of we're all going to our look.
02:02That's the way we are getting our homes of the state.
02:07We're going to our bodies.
