MACC yet to update on retention pond allegations, says Hannah

Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Federal Territories) Hannah Yeoh said she has not received a response from the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) over alleged irregularities involving the alienation of the Batu and Jinjang flood retention ponds.  Yeoh told reporters on Friday (May 15) that she had personally lodged a report on the matter with the anti-graft agency in 2021.  She added that a special task force is now working with the Department of Irrigation and Drainage and Kuala Lumpur City Hall to tighten development controls and prevent similar incidents.
