Death toll from large-scale Russian attack that slammed Ukraine rises to 24

The drone and missile barrage, that mostly targeted Kyiv, marked one of Russia's largest attacks in the past four years. Many EU leaders voiced support for Ukraine.

00:00The dead toll of Russia's large-scale drone and missile attack over the last two days,
00:05one of the largest in the past four years, has risen to 24 people.
00:10Ukrainian authorities said the strikes primarily targeted Kyiv, the Ukrainian capital,
00:16and began as a rare daytime attack on Wednesday, which continued into Thursday, also leaving 47
00:22people injured. The Ukrainian Air Force said Russia had launched 675 attack drones and 56 missiles,
00:32adding its air defense units at down 652 of the drones and 41 missiles.
00:39Several EU leaders condemned the attack, lamenting Russia's undermining of any efforts to end the war.
00:47Russian authorities, meanwhile, said that Ukrainian strikes on the city of Ryzan
00:51and killed three people and wounded 12 others.
