00:00Jaden Daniels, we found out yesterday, is going to be a quarterback.
00:03What do you think of that?
00:04I'm cool with it.
00:05I mean, listen, bro.
00:06Jaden is a guy who's dedicated to his craft.
00:08We know he puts in work.
00:10And if anybody gets upset with it, man, I would just say, you know what,
00:14get over yourself and get a life.
00:15Because this is what happens in the NFL.
00:18When you are a certain level of quarterback,
00:22or they see you as that type of guy,
00:24they want to promote this league by quarterbacks.
00:28Yeah.
00:28Okay?
00:28And him being a guy who I know puts in the work, I have no issue with it.
00:34If he was a guy that I think that doing something like that would mess with him,
00:38I wouldn't want it to happen.
00:39But he's not.
00:41And I think what happens is it's not that they really do anything different.
00:45They just go through what they do normally.
00:47So it gives you a look into how much he does his thing.
00:52Maybe we get to see him doing the virtual reality stuff.
00:55We hear about it.
00:56We don't see it.
00:57So maybe you get a chance to see those things.
01:00So I'm cool with it.
01:01Well, and the beauty of it, B-Mitch, is even if you had a problem with it,
01:03it's already over.
01:04They filmed him last year.
01:05They've done it.
01:05Yeah, that's what I'm saying.
01:06So it's like even if you had an issue with it, it's done.
01:09Somebody, I guarantee you, there's somebody out there.
01:13I'm going to add an idiot out there.
01:16Man, I can't believe he's doing that.
01:18He's not getting ready for the season.
01:19Or, that's why he got injured last year.
01:22He was doing, no.
01:23It's no different, dude.
01:25It's no difference at all.
01:26You just go out there, and they're going to film stuff, and they say, this is what we're
01:32going to show.
01:32Cool or not?
01:34Yeah, and I mean, honestly, if you're going about your business, I'm sure even in your,
01:37if someone brought a camera, it's not going to change your routine.
01:40No.
01:40Maybe if they ask you a few questions, you have to go answer for a few minutes.
01:44That's the only difference.
01:45Yeah, and listen, the thing of it is, this is what, if you're at the level that Jaden
01:51is, Joe Flacco is, Baker Mayfield, and the kid from Cam Ward, if you're at their level,
02:00you know what has happened your whole life?
02:02A camera's been in your face.
02:04People are asking you extra questions.
02:06This is nothing new.
02:08You know, when you see a guy get to a certain level, we go, oh, man, I don't want him
02:11to
02:11have to be dealing with these, all these media people.
02:13He probably been dealing with the media all his life.
02:16Yeah.
02:16Because if he was the best of the players, they would always talk to him, so he's used
02:20to it.
02:21Yeah, I thought it was interesting.
02:22I mean, I saw Mitch Tischler was saying, like, did they not notice that there are people
02:27out there?
02:27Because no beat reporters or anything picked up on that was Netflix.
02:29I think because it was hard knocks, Mitch said that there were extra people out there,
02:35but they just assumed it was hard knocks.
02:37So you don't even know.
02:37But see, that's the thing about it.
02:38Like, the thing of it is people always want to know.
02:44It ain't your duty to know.
02:46Yeah.
02:46So the people that, and think about it, like, Jaden.
02:49Jaden doesn't have a lot of stuff that's presented out there.
02:54Well, and I think that's going to be the fun part about it, Mitch, is to be honest with
02:57you, I know.
02:57It opens it up to more of who he is.
03:00Yes.
03:01Because, you know, I don't think the team puts a lot of stuff out with him unless it's
03:05just a still photo.
03:07Yeah.
03:07No, I know Jaden, the football player.
03:09Yeah.
03:09I know a little bit about his personality off the field and just barely any.
03:13Like, just skimming the surface.
03:14I think it'll be cool to see it peel back a little bit just to see his everyday life.
03:18Just to see some of the routine and stuff that he does.
03:21I know the man puts in work physically and mentally.
03:25And that's what you want a quarterback to do.
03:26I know he cares about the game more than he cares about all this other stuff that most
03:30people care about.
03:32So just to see a little bit of how he does it is cool with me.
03:36You know, I don't want to be all into it, but you know what?
03:42Just a little peek at, okay, I see.
03:45Because when you see him do certain things on the field, for me, I go like, oh, I wonder
03:51where he figured that out at.
03:53Well, maybe it may give me a little opening up the curtains to that fact of how he did
04:00that.
04:00You know, I don't worry too much about it because I hear so many people sooner, guys
04:05get it.
04:05They work all their lives to get to this level.
04:08And when you get to this level, you're supposed to be reaping the fruits of the labor.
04:12And everybody outside, you know what they say?
04:14All I want you to do is play football.
04:16We've been doing that his whole life.
04:18And now he's playing football, but you know what?
04:20You got to enjoy some of the stuff too.
04:22And not just for us to enjoy.
04:24Yeah, so I'm excited to see, just to peel back a little bit, to get to know him a little
04:27bit.
04:28And like you said, we know he puts in a lot of work.
04:30I mean, that was something we talked about a lot his rookie season, the extra work that
04:33he was putting in.
04:34I'm just curious to see behind the scenes a little bit.
04:37And I'm sure as a former athlete, Beamage, it's kind of cool to see is everybody's got
04:41their own different routines, stuff that they know that they've got to get ready.
04:44Some guys got to do more, some guys do a little bit less, but everybody's got their own routine.
04:48So is it cool to see it from that perspective, knowing what your routine was?
04:52Obviously, you played a different position than what he did in the pros, but see just
04:55the way that different guys go about getting ready.
04:57Yeah, I think the thing we, I think what they should do, they should give other positions
05:04the same type of, you know, what do I call it?
05:10Recognition.
05:11Yeah, because everyone thinks the quarterback just works so much harder than everybody else.
05:17There are guys that they really get into this thing.
05:21They're, like, I talk with Fred a lot, and I know Fred, if, when a season will come up,
05:27he'll tell you how.
05:28When the year came up, he already has marked down every receiver he's playing against.
05:33And now he has to go and watch film on these guys.
05:36And then you put all this stuff into a folder, and then as the year comes up, you look.
05:43So now you got to work on this stuff this week because I got this guy.
05:46And then next week, you got to forget about that and work on something else.
05:49As a punt returner for me, every week I had to change up the way I lined up, how deep
05:55I
05:55was, where I was going to sit up.
05:57I'm going to be on a right hash, left hash.
05:58Because I may have a left-footed punter, a right-footed punter.
06:01I may have a left-footed punter that the ball turns over.
06:03I may have one where the ball never turns over, and it falls away from you.
06:06It may be a right-footed punter like that.
06:08Maybe a guy that sometimes kicked the end over end.
06:10You have to be prepared for all that stuff, and you prepare that way.
06:13So I just would love to see other positions, too, so the public can see it's not just the
06:20quarterback that put in all that work.
06:21Yeah, and I would love for them to do it with the non-glamor positions.
06:25Because I think if you saw the amount of work that goes into playing on the O-line and D
06:28-line
06:29and the stuff that they play through week in, week out, I think people would respect them
06:32even more, because watching the first season of quarterback, when Kirk was dealing with
06:36some injuries and playing through it, I think a lot of people gain respect for what an NFL
06:40quarterback has to go through throughout a season and dealing with injuries and playing
06:43through.
06:43Imagine what you look at at a left tackle playing through an injury, or like Trent Williams when
06:47he was here.
06:48Could you imagine cameras following him, trying to get ready to play every Sunday?
06:51How about a show, ESPN, Netflix, you do this, give me my prop.
06:57The rehab.
06:59Yeah.
06:59We always talk about, just get on the field and play.
07:02Watch a guy go through a rehab, and then imagine what the hell you would do.
07:06That's all.
07:07Like, I, I, listen, I've seen guys go through it.
07:12I never had to miss, like, multiple games because of injuries, but I was, I had some stuff
07:18that could have kept people from it, and I had to work through it, but I would just love
07:22to see what, what the public would really say if they see what guys really go through.
07:27Because when you see them, you see them get hurt, you see maybe a glimpse of them working
07:34out, and then you see them back on the field.
07:36And for the most part, I think most people think, oh, man, it wasn't that tough.
07:41But you watch, some dudes are crying.
07:43Yeah.
07:44You know, barely can move.
07:46And when you get in those whirlpool tubs and you have to run, you're not getting much
07:51pressure on your legs, but you know what?
07:54It is wearing you the hell out.
07:56So.
07:57Well, and that's the thing, if you haven't had to rehab an injury, I think a lot of people
08:01just think of rehab as like, okay, he's got a problem, so you just lay on the massage
08:04table, they have you a massage.
08:05Oh, yeah, yeah.
08:06And they kind of move your leg around, and then you're good.
08:08But you know what?
08:08You've got to aggressively attack rehab.
08:10That massage sometimes is the worst thing ever.
08:15Because when you have surgery and they put you in a cast or something, they sit in a certain
08:20place, squat tissue has to be broken up.
08:24And sometimes it would make the toughest of tough wimper like a little girl, okay?
08:30When you have the injury somewhere and they got to dig into it to massage, to move that
08:35blood around, it ain't the easiest stuff in the world.
08:38Now, you know, people go through pure hell to enjoy it.
08:43You go through hell to get out there and have the game like you're in heaven.
08:47You know what I mean?
08:48So it's a weird thing, but I'm cool with it.
08:51I have no problem with Jaden doing this because, like you said, it was last year, and I also
08:56know how much he puts into it.
08:58Well, and that's going to be a cool part about it, too.
08:59As you talk about the rehab process, we're going to get to see Jaden have to go through
09:03multiple rehab processes for different injuries to make sure that he's ready to go and get
09:07back out on the field and play at a high level.
09:08So it's going to be interesting to see just a peek behind the curtain.
09:11And I'm sure they don't let you see everything when it comes to that situation.
09:14But if you just see a little bit and keep an open mind, you'll realize what they show
09:20you is not the worst.
09:22Well, and the nice part is with it not being the current season, hopefully it can be a
09:25little less guarded.
09:26You can show a little bit more.
09:28Yeah, but some of the injury stuff, still, that's the thing called, what, it's OSHA?
09:33Yeah.
09:33You've got to worry about all that type of stuff.
09:35HIPAA, I think.
09:36Yeah, HIPAA, HIPAA.
09:37OSHA is the injuries in the plant.
09:40Makes you keep it.
09:41Yeah.
09:42It's keeping this stuff, whatever.
09:43But you have to guard some things.
09:46Yeah, some stuff can be put out there.
09:47Yeah, but I think that'll be fun to watch.
09:49And I think, like you said, thankfully, if anybody has any issues, it's already in the can,
09:54so there's nothing you can do about it.
09:55They got an issue, guess what, who cares?
09:57And even so, like, it's one of those things, even if you were doing it this season, modern
10:01athletes have to deal with so many cameras in their faces.
10:04He had to deal with it at LSU.
10:05Even nowadays, you go to practice and there's a social media team for the team doing it.
10:09So it's like, what's the difference between adding in a couple of Netflix cameras and
10:13they ask a couple of questions?
10:14Man, look, you get asked questions all the time.
10:17Yeah.
10:18And guess what?
10:19Think about this.
10:20When they go to the mall, who asks questions?
10:22Yeah.
10:22The same people that's complaining about them having to put some time into it.
10:25You don't care about his time when he's in the mall.
10:27You keep him talking to you more often.
10:29Well, and by the way, if five minutes stepping away to answer questions ruins your season,
10:34you're not a very good professional athlete.
10:36At all.
10:37At all.
10:38You're not going to make it very long.
10:39Not even close.
10:41Beamich, we got some more schedule leaks ahead of tonight's reveal of the NFL schedule.
10:47Do you like this, the whole schedule?
10:50Like, we're going to hold it back and we'll give it to you, like, presentation thing?
10:53You know what?
10:55Yes.
10:56Because being in some marketing classes in college.
10:59Oh, they're experts at that.
11:01The thing about it is building up the moment.
11:05But, and I think the NFL, as much as they say they don't want stuff out, I think they want
11:13little things out.
11:14Oh, yeah.
11:15Because when you start to get the little leaks, what does it make people do?
11:19Start looking more.
11:20Yep.
11:20And when they look more and they can't get everything, what do they mean?
11:24They tune in even more to the show that you just prepared.
11:28So, this is, listen, bro, the other leagues, all of them together, I'm talking about all
11:36the soccer leagues in this country, everywhere, basketball, baseball, WNBA, soccer, all of
11:44them, you, the NFL is way beyond all of them put together.
11:48It's unbelievable.
11:49They have figured out a way from January 1st to December 31st, they have you.
11:56Because they have something every month to every two months, something else popping up
12:02that they promote.
12:03And we all say, oh, man, watching that stuff, that's boring.
12:07And then their numbers beat actual playoff games of other leagues.
12:12Yeah, I mean, we're going to have next year, the NFL draft is going to be here in D.C.
12:17What was the number that they had in Pittsburgh this year?
12:19Somewhere around 800,000 people.
12:21It'll be 1.2 million.
12:22To watch guys get picked.
12:23Yeah.
12:24There's no actual football being played out there.
12:26And think about it, another thing that people do, just like the schedule leaks, people are
12:33trying to prepare where we're going to go, because this place, you got this to hang out,
12:36you can go eat at this spot, you can go visit this spot.
12:39When people come here, they got monuments.
12:43Oh, yeah.
12:43All these different things they can visit.
12:45So D.C. is a better attraction than Pittsburgh.
12:49100%.
12:49So you can expect to have people, there are going to be people that don't really care
12:54about the draft that come in town just because they want to see the fans, the fanatical people
12:59come and how they act, because they're going to just go making it to a, like, the husbands
13:04probably would want to go, whoever's a big fan.
13:07But the wife will tag along, the girlfriend will tag along, of the boyfriend.
13:10You know why?
13:11Because they can go to different spots around here and enjoy themselves.
13:16It's going to be crazy because if they really wanted to, they could make this number just
13:21completely blow everything out of the water.
13:23So last year, or this year, at the NFL draft, over the three days, Pittsburgh drew 805,000
13:29fans.
13:30Okay.
13:30Which is absolutely incredible.
13:32Yeah.
13:32D.C. holds a massive event every four years.
13:35All the time.
13:36Every four years in the mall.
13:38In 2009, at the inauguration of Barack Obama, 1.8 million people.
13:44Yeah.
13:45That's one day.
13:46That's a lot of people.
13:47So if they wanted to, they could just blow the number out of the water in one day.
13:50Yeah.
13:51Well, I don't know about if they want to.
13:53Guess what?
13:54Whether they want to or not, the attraction of what D.C. is.
13:59Yeah.
13:59And the NFL, with the NFL draft, is going to attract a lot of people.
14:05Oh, yeah.
14:06Yeah.
14:06I think it's going to be a fantastic backdrop.
14:08It's going to be a lot of fun.
14:09Oh, yeah.
14:09We're getting some schedule leaks on the Commanders.
14:11We'll get to those next.
14:12Also, a fantastic slate coming up around Thanksgiving.
14:15NFL schedule release coming up tonight.
14:17We'll get you up to date on everything that we know or at least have rumored for the Commanders
14:22coming up next.
14:23It's B. Mitch and Finley on the fan.
