00:00When I was three years old, my mom and dad got a divorce. Because of that, there was a lot
00:07of
00:07instability and fighting in our family environment. And at three years old, I was removed from the
00:17home that I lived in by the Child Protective Services. I was in a foster home for several
00:26years, from the time I was three until the time I was seven years old. I have memories of being
00:33abused
00:34by my foster mother physically. My mother took me on a vacation within a very short period of time
00:44of coming home. Driving back from the vacation, my mom was hit in the rear end by a cement truck.
00:54And I was behind her in the vehicle. The cement truck came apart, the mixer came off the back and
01:01it jackknifed and it hit the roof of the car. And it took the roof right off of the car
01:09and crushed
01:09the vehicle and rolled over it. My mother did not survive the accident. And my father, who she was
01:16estranged from, came up with my stepmother and picked me up from the hospital. And then they came to live
01:23live in my mother's house with me. Another huge shock for me.
