SANTO DOMINGO.– El diputado por la provincia Duarte, Ariel Marte, sometió ante la Cámara de Diputados dos importantes proyectos de ley orientados a fortalecer la descentralización territorial y promover el desarrollo local, mediante la creación de los distritos municipales de La Yaguiza y La Joya, en el municipio San Francisco de Macorís.

Estas iniciativas legislativas responden al crecimiento sostenido de ambas comunidades, las cuales cuentan con una población aproximada de 15,000 habitantes cada una, así como con una dinámica social, económica y urbana que demanda una gestión administrativa más cercana, eficiente y participativa.

El legislador explicó que la elevación de La Yaguiza y La Joya a distritos municipales permitirá mejorar la planificación y ejecución de políticas públicas, facilitar el acceso a servicios básicos, fortalecer la institucionalidad local y garantizar una mayor participación de los ciudadanos en la toma de decisiones.
