Exhorta a prófugos a entregarse

00:00Good afternoon to everyone present, good afternoon to all the citizens of this country, blessed by God.
00:12In this month that we have been in charge of the institution for a few days,
00:20We have the operational capacity that we believe it should have.
00:28The main objective is to reverse the fear, the fear that citizens have of criminals.
00:39We are going to become, or are we reversing, a situation where the criminal should have the authority.
00:48that protects the working citizen, that protects the people from evil.
00:55In that regard, we, as Director General of the National Police,
01:04We hope that citizens who have pending matters,
01:11that justice, or with the National Police,
01:14that the doors of our barracks, starting with my office,
01:20They will always be open to receive you and give you the best treatment.
01:26When a visitor arrives at our house, which is above the barracks,
01:33We're going to treat him well.
01:36Now, there is talk of exchanges, not exchanges,
01:42that the police should not make exchanges,
01:45But it turns out that the 25,000-plus prisoners in the Dominican Republic's jails
01:49And now we are the ones who embrace them, and we have not confronted them.
01:54And what if that comparison is made of 25,000 prisoners or more?
02:00which has the prison in the Dominican Republic,
02:03Logic dictates that the National Police respect human rights,
02:07provided that the lawbreaker does not face police authority.
02:13It is our divine duty to protect our lives as an authority
02:21in order to continue protecting the lives of other citizens
02:27that they do not feel unsafe, but rather feel at peace in a country that belongs to everyone.
02:34Criminals are not going to own this country.
02:38The criminals are going to be the good citizens,
02:44good, exemplary citizens,
02:47those who work for the well-being of the country.
02:50Anyone who doesn't understand it that way and wants to continue down that path,
02:55violating the laws, violating the rules of our country,
03:00against the good citizen,
03:03So we are here to protect those good citizens.
03:06How?
03:08On the ground chosen by the offender.
03:12If he chooses to turn himself in, then we will send him to the Public Prosecutor's Office.
03:18Prior to the investigation, based on the arrest warrant I have,
03:23or the search warrant,
03:25a serious investigation being conducted jointly with the Public Prosecutor's Office.
03:28And then, he undergoes chandrosis.
03:33Anyone who does not surrender will obviously continue to be pursued.
03:38I have it on my desk
03:40all those offenders
03:43who have not been able to be captured for years
03:46in this country.
03:48And the 46,000-plus members that this institution has.
03:52There isn't just one.
03:53that he doesn't go after those
03:56antisocial
03:58who have committed homicide,
04:02who have committed robberies,
04:04among other crimes,
04:06violations
04:07to defenseless people, including minors.
04:11Everyone,
04:12anyone who knows
04:14who has committed an act
04:18that has harmed American society
04:20one way or another,
04:22it's better
04:23that they surrender to the authorities
04:26and we're only going to subject it to chandrosis.
04:29If you do not do so,
04:31Then that depends on him.
04:34Our role is to protect
04:37to our society
04:38and maintain peace
04:40and let the criminals be the ones who fear
04:42to the authority,
04:44not the citizens, the criminals.
04:45That's what we're going to reverse.
04:47We're doing it.
04:48And we're going to do it until the end.
04:49Thanks a lot.
