00:00After 25 years away from the top flight, Coventry City are finally heading back into the Premier League next season.
00:10Under the guidance of Frank Lampard, Coventry have transformed championship hopefuls into one of the stories of the season.
00:20Their promotion marks the end of years of instability at the club, disputes and near misses, replacing them with belief,
00:29momentum and ambition for the next campaign.
00:33The Sky Blues have earned praise for their fearless football this season, strong team spirit and consistency throughout the campaign.
00:42The challenge next season will be survival in the Premier League, but Coventry's rise proves the club is no longer
00:51just rebuilding.
00:52It is competitive again. For supporters, this promotion is more than football. It is a reward for loyalty and patience.
01:02Here's what Frank Lampard had to say.
01:05Now, I mean, this is a special night for the football club, which is bigger than all of us and
01:11I think it can never be more clear than that when you see the fans at the end of the
01:15game.
01:15The club has suffered for 25 years in terms of since we've been in the Premier League and that journey
01:20going down to League Two and different football clubs, stadiums.
01:25Credit to everyone involved in those tough years. Mark Robbins, of course, I think he has to have a shout
01:30out.
01:31But it's a massive, massive achievement from everyone involved and it's really special.
01:38I'm lost for words. I wanted to do it away from home a little bit. I wanted promotion away.
01:42I know what it's like to do it this way. It's the fans that come all the time away from
01:46home.
01:46They're really dedicated fans and they're having the night of their lives. That's what we do this job for.
01:51And they've worked hard and they stay together and they're playing really incredible football this year.
01:56We've drawn three games just now and we've got promoted with three games to go.
02:01That just shows you the consistency of this team and the style that the team's done it in, which is
02:06pretty unique.
02:07I think Ipswich did it a couple of years ago in their own different circumstances.
02:10But what we've done to come in from near the bottom of the table and to quickly in five months
02:15get to the play-off semi-final
02:17and then go, we're going to go again and we're going to be the dominant team in the league, there's
02:22credit to the work of everybody.
02:24Well, I'm very proud of it.
02:25I have to say that I always like to give credit everywhere else because it's a thing.
02:31I can't do my job without the players. I can't do the job without the staff that are around me.
02:34I can't do the job without an owner that I can speak to and feel comfortable about.
02:39We've got a great line to each other and people like Dean Austin behind the scenes.
02:43I can't do a job without a fan base that drags the players through and supports them like they do.
02:48But my part in the job has come here to work hard.
02:52Luckily, I landed on a really good group of lads who really wanted to work and get better.
