00:01Musa a.s. stood against Firaun, Ibrahim a.s. stood against Namrud, and after Isa a.s. someone else would
00:10rise against the oppression of Rome, Jarjis a.s.
00:15But this time, the story was different, because he was killed four times, four times he tasted the pain of
00:23death, and each time he returned except for the last, and the story did not end there.
00:30On the night when a magician believed through tears, the fate of the city began to change. And behind all
00:36of this, there was an even greater mystery. Why was he sent during the period of Fatra? And why did
00:44he remain one of the most mysterious prophets in history?
00:48In this video, you will discover one of the least known, yet most shocking stories in Islamic history.

01:22If you are ready, let's begin.
01:26In the years after Isa a.s. the lands of Palestine, Sham and the nearby regions looked strong from the
01:34outside.
01:35The Roman Empire was building roads, controlling cities with huge armies, and raising stone palaces.
01:42But under that greatness, there was fear, there was silent oppression, and there was a heavy darkness crushing the hearts
01:50of people.
01:51Rome's iron fist was especially cruel about religion.
01:55The empire saw everyone who did not obey them as a threat, especially those who believed in one Allah.
02:03In Islamic sources, there are views that the cruel ruler known as King Dadiyan may have been the governor of
02:11Mosul during the time of the Roman Emperor Diocletian.
02:14Diocletian, who ruled between 284 and 305, carried out systematic massacres against believers during the period historians call the Great
02:27Persecution.
02:28During this time, Palestine and Syria were filled with blood.
02:33People bowed in front of statues made by their own hands.
02:37They hoped for help from stones and placed the commands of kings above the commands of Allah.
02:43Huge idols were rising in city squares.
02:47In temples decorated with gold, people were forced to make sajda.
02:51On one side, there were drunken feasts.
02:54On the other side, there were slave markets.
02:57On one side, there were rich tables full of food.
03:01On the other side, there were people dying from hunger.
03:05As the truth was forgotten, mercy was disappearing from the earth.
03:10People lived only for power.
03:13The weak were crushed, the poor were exploited, and people saw the life of this world as if it were
03:19the only reality.
03:20That is why Islamic scholars describe that era not only as a political collapse, but also as a spiritual collapse.
03:28People had started to see evil as normal.
03:31There was fear in the cities.
03:33People were hiding their faith.
03:35Many worshipped only at night.
03:38Duas were made in whispers, because a single wrong word was enough for torture.
03:43That is why, while speaking about Ash'ab al-Ukhdud, the Qur'an says,
03:48They took revenge on the believers only because they believed in Allah al-Aziz al-Hamid, Surah al-Buruj 8.
03:58And no matter how much the darkness grows, Allah always brings out a light from somewhere.
04:04Musa alayhi salam stood against Fir'an.
04:08Ibrahim alayhi salam stood against Namrud.
04:11And under the shadow of Rome, a silent and unknown man was being prepared.
04:16In the town of Remle in Palestine, there was a merchant unnoticed among the crowds.
04:22But the Iman inside his heart would one day shake an entire kingdom with fear.
04:27And the name of that man was Kersis alayhi salam.
04:31In the markets of Mosul, golden statues of Apollo were being sold.
04:36On the roads of Syria, Roman legions were patrolling.
04:40In Palestine, smoke rising from temples covered the sky.
04:44And in the middle of this darkness, he would stand alone against the entire system.
04:51There are some people who live among crowds, yet nobody truly knows who they are.
04:56They are quiet. They live far from showing off.
04:59But the value they carry in the sight of Allah can sometimes be greater than an entire army.
05:06Kersis alayhi salam was one of those people.
05:09According to narrations, he was a righteous servant who followed the path of the believers
05:14remaining after Isa alayhi salam and secretly lived the true religion.
05:20Some Islamic sources describe him as a nabi, while other narrations describe him as a righteous friend of Allah.
05:27But all narrations agreed on one point.
05:30He was a man who lived fearlessly for the sake of Allah.
05:33At that time, Remle was one of the busy cities connected to major trade routes.
05:38During the day, the noise of the markets filled the streets.
05:42The smell of spices spread through the stone roads.
05:46Camels carried heavy loads and merchants counted gold coins.
05:50But at night, the city showed another face.
05:53People whispered in narrow streets.
05:55House doors closed quietly.
05:58Worship was done in secret because of fear.
06:01Those who believed in one, Allah could no longer live openly.
06:05Kersis alayhi salam grew up in this world.
06:08But what separated him from other people was not only his iman.
06:12He became very wealthy through trade.
06:15He traveled from city to city, buying and selling goods.
06:19But at the end of every year, when he calculated his earnings,
06:23the first thing he did was not to grow his wealth.
06:27He gave it to the poor.
06:28And there was a famous saying narrated from him, a very deep saying,
06:32I work for the poor and needy.
06:35I work so they may live in comfort.
06:38Think about it.
06:39In an age where people crushed one another for wealth,
06:42one man was giving away what he earned with his own hands.
06:46Because in his eyes, wealth was not a goal.
06:50It was only a trust from Allah.
06:52That is why in the cities where he traded,
06:55he did not only buy and sell goods.
06:57He also told people about the true religion.
07:00Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wasallam said in a hadith,
07:04The best of people are those who benefit others.
07:08The life of Kersis alayhi salam was like a living example of these words.
07:13And during those days, news coming from the east began to reach Remle.
07:18A cruel king named Dadiyan had built a golden idol in Mosul
07:23and was forcing people to make sajdah in front of it.
07:26Those who refused to worship it were being thrown into fire.
07:30When this news reached the city, many people chose silence because of fear.
07:36But Kersis alayhi salam did not stay silent.
07:39Because for some people, speaking the truth is like breathing.
07:43And on that day, the silent merchant of Remle decided to begin one of the darkest journeys in history.
07:50At the head of the city of Mosul was a cruel ruler named Dadiyan,
07:55influenced by the dark, idol-worshipping system of the Roman Empire.
08:00But what truly made him terrifying was not his power.
08:03It was how well he knew how to use people's fear.
08:06In the center of Mosul, he had built a giant idol.
08:10It was made entirely of gold.
08:12When sunlight touched its shining surface, it blinded the eyes.
08:17Its name was Apollo.
08:19The king did not present it as an ordinary statue, no.
08:23He turned that idol into a symbol of authority.
08:25And he told the people, make sajdah and survive, or resist and die.
08:31And the people were afraid.
08:34Because huge fires burned in the middle of the square.
08:37Towers of wood.
08:39The roaring sound rising from the burning coals.
08:43Black smoke climbing into the sky.
08:45And trembling people standing before those flames.
08:48According to narrations, those who refused to make sajdah to the idol were thrown into the fire in front of
08:55everyone.
08:55Some bowed down while crying, some fainted from fear, and some resisted until the very last moment and walked into
09:04the flames.
09:05And during those very days, a caravan entered through the gates of the city.
09:11A simple group of merchants coming from dusty roads.
09:15Nobody knew they were people who would change the course of history.
09:20Inside that caravan was Kirchis alaihi salam.
09:25As the camels moved slowly after the long journey, a strange tension could be felt in the air of Mosul.
09:32People spoke in fear.
09:35Soldiers walked through the streets.
09:37Smoke rose from the squares.
09:39And then...
09:41Kirchis alaihi salam saw the scene.
09:43The scream of a mother.
09:45People being dragged in front of the fire.
09:48Crowds forced to kneel before the golden idol.
09:52According to the sources, this scene deeply shook his heart.
09:55Because he was not only a merchant, he was a believer.
09:58And true believers cannot remain silent in the face of oppression for long.
10:04That night, he spoke with the believers beside him.
10:07The city was silent.
10:10From far away, only the crackling of the fires could be heard.
10:14The sky was covered with red smoke.
10:17And Kirchis alaihi salam had already made his decision.
10:21He would go to the palace and warn the king to stop his dhulm.
10:25This was not an ordinary decision.
10:27Because at that moment, he was practically signing his own death sentence.
10:32But even so, he did not fear.
10:34And the first thing he did was remarkable.
10:37He gave away his goods, his gifts, his wealth, to the poor and to the believers.
10:44It was as if he was cutting his final connection to the world.
10:47Because there was no turning back anymore.
10:50When morning came, Mosul was crowded once again.
10:53The square was full.
10:55The golden idol still rose above the people like fear itself.
11:00Dadian sat upon his throne.
11:03The fires were burning.
11:05And at that very moment, a man began walking through the crowd.
11:10He was not afraid.
11:11He did not step back.
11:13His steps were calm.
11:14His eyes were determined.
11:16While soldiers looked at him in shock, he walked directly toward the palace.
11:21Because sometimes, the thing that changes the course of history is not the arrival of an army.
11:27But one person deciding not to be afraid.
11:31And now, for the first time, the cruel king of Mosul and a servant of Allah would stand face to
11:38face.
11:40Palaces look powerful to people.
11:42Marble columns, golden thrones, hundreds of soldiers, and a ruler before whom everyone bows down.
11:49But sometimes, a single sentence reveals the fear hidden inside those massive palaces.
11:56That day, the palace of Mosul was living through one of its usual days.
12:01Torches burned along both sides of the great hall.
12:04Trembling shadows moved across the dark red stone walls.
12:08The armor of soldiers reflected the firelight.
12:11And the golden idol of Apollo rose deep inside the hall.
12:15Dadian sat upon his throne.
12:17There was arrogance on his face.
12:19Because until that moment, nobody had dared to stand against him.
12:23People bowed before him.
12:25They lowered their eyes to the ground out of fear.
12:29And then, the palace doors opened.
12:31A man wearing simple clothes entered the hall.
12:35He carried neither wealth nor greatness upon him.
12:38But without realizing it, everyone in the hall began looking at him.
12:42Because some people walked silently.
12:44Yet they changed the atmosphere wherever they enter.
12:48And that was how Kirsiz walked.
12:52According to the narrations, Dadian was at that very moment raging against those who refused to worship Apollo.
12:59And without hesitation, Kirsiz began to speak.
13:03O king, why are you angry at the servants of Allah?
13:07You too are only a servant of Allah.
13:10The entire hall suddenly fell silent.
13:14Nobody even breathed.
13:16Because these words had been spoken directly to the face of a ruler and in front of thousands of people.
13:22But Kirsiz, a.s. did not stop.
13:25He pointed toward the idol.
13:27That thing you force people to make sajdah,
13:31To can neither hear nor see.
13:33It can neither benefit nor harm.
13:36Allah is the one who created both you and me.
13:39So why do you force servants to bow before other servants?
13:43Dadian's face began to change.
13:45First came shock.
13:47Then came anger.
13:48Because all his life people had trembled before him.
13:52But the man standing in front of him was not afraid.
13:55And the greatest fear of tyrants is people who do not fear them.
13:59Dadian stood up.
14:01The silence inside the palace became heavy and frozen.
14:04Punishing this open challenge alone was not enough.
14:08First, he wanted to humiliate him in front of everyone and satisfy his enormous pride through argument.
14:16With a mocking smile on his lips, he asked,
14:19If the one you call your lord is truly powerful, then why did he leave you poor like this?
14:24Look at me.
14:25Look at my palace.
14:26Look at my people.
14:27My God gave me power.
14:29Through him, people became rich.
14:33Many people inside the hall liked these words.
14:36Because the power of this world always looks undefeatable from a distance.
14:40But there was not the smallest trace of fear in the eyes of Kersis .
14:45In a calm voice, he answered,
14:48Allah gives to whom he wills in this world.
14:51And he gives to whom he wills in the Akhirah.
14:54But when he gives, he gives eternally.
14:57Your kingdom is temporary.
14:59Today you are here.
15:01Tomorrow you are beneath the earth.
15:04Those words were like an invisible arrow piercing Dadiyan's heart.
15:10Because tyrants hate death, and they hate those who remind them of it.
15:15Dadiyan shouted,
15:16Who are you?
15:18And with the same calm tone that never changed,
15:20Cherchis replied,
15:23I am a weak servant of Allah.
15:25I came to call you to Allah.
15:27He did not threaten.
15:29He did not shout.
15:30And he did not fear.
15:32Because sometimes truth shows its strongest form
15:35while speaking calmly.
15:38Prophet Muhammad said in a hadith,
15:42The greatest jihad is speaking the truth before a tyrant ruler.
15:47And that day, inside the palace, that was exactly what was happening.
15:52One man, standing alone, was becoming the fear of an empire.
15:58And Dadiyan was beginning to understand one thing.
16:01This man could never be silenced unless he was killed.
16:05In anger, he raised his hand.
16:07He turned toward the soldiers.
16:08And he gave the command that echoed through the palace.
16:12Bind him.
16:13And now...
16:14One of the darkest tortures in history was about to begin.
16:19The atmosphere inside the palace had become heavy.
16:22As the flames of the torches trembled across the stone walls,
16:27soldiers surrounded Cherchis alayhi salam.
16:29The crowd moved aside.
16:31Some avoided looking because of fear.
16:34Others held their breath while watching him.
16:37Because everyone knew one thing,
16:39something terrible was about to happen.
16:42Dadiyan rose from his throne.
16:44His face was tight with anger.
16:46And for the final time, he asked,
16:48Will you make sajda now?
16:51Jujjiz alayhi salam answered without hesitation.
16:54His voice was calm yet sharp.
16:56Sajda belongs only to Allah.
17:00And with those words,
17:01every trace of mercy disappeared from the palace.
17:04The king raised his hand.
17:06And the soldiers tied him to a great wooden pole in the square.
17:10The wind was blowing hard.
17:12Dark grey clouds began covering the sky.
17:15The people of Mosul gathered in the square with fear.
17:18Some covered the eyes of their children.
17:20Some cried silently.
17:22But nobody dared to speak,
17:24because fear had fallen over the city.
17:27Then the soldiers brought iron combs.
17:30According to the narrations,
17:32these combs were used to tear apart his body.
17:35The iron shined beneath the torchlight.
17:38And then the first strike came.
17:40As the iron comb ripped across his blessed body,
17:44a deep murmur rose from the crowd.
17:46Blood spread across the stone ground.
17:48But there was something strange.
17:51Jujjiz alayhi salam was not screaming.
17:53He was not groaning.
17:55There was no fear on his face.
17:56It was as if he was looking somewhere beyond the pain itself.
18:00Some soldiers began turning their eyes away,
18:02because no normal person could endure such suffering like this.
18:07But the torture did not stop.
18:09Again and again.
18:11According to the narrations,
18:13pieces of flesh were tearing away from his body little by little.
18:17But Daddian was still not satisfied,
18:19because he did not only want to cause pain,
18:22he wanted to break his iman.
18:24He gave another command to his soldiers.
18:27Vinegar was brought.
18:29Salt was brought.
18:30And they poured them onto the torn wounds.
18:33Fearful cries rose from the crowd.
18:35Some people turned their heads away.
18:37Others could no longer bear to look.
18:39But Jujjiz alayhi salam was still the same.
18:43His lips were moving.
18:44Some narrations say that he continued making dikka of Allah during those moments,
18:50because the body may suffer,
18:52but iman lives somewhere deeper.
18:56Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said in a hadith,
18:59The people tested most severely are the prophets.
19:03And that day, in the square of Mosul,
19:06people were witnessing a living example of those words.
19:09But Daddian still did not stop.
19:12This time, a massive piece of iron was brought.
19:15It was placed into the fire.
19:17Slowly, the metal began turning red.
19:19First, dark red.
19:22Then, nearly white.
19:24The roaring sound of the flames filled the square.
19:27The soldiers lifted the burning iron with metal tongs.
19:31And Daddian shouted,
19:32Now let us see if your lord will save you.
19:34They pressed the burning iron against the head of Jujjiz alayhi salam.
19:38And then, in a single moment, everything became silent.
19:43The body of Jujjiz alayhi salam remained motionless.
19:47His head fell forward.
19:49The soldiers stepped back.
19:51Daddian took a deep breath.
19:53At last, he thought he had silenced him.
19:56But at that very moment, the sky began to darken.
19:59The wind grew violent.
20:01The atmosphere above the square changed.
20:04And for the first time, the people began to feel what real fear truly looked like.
20:09Because this story was not going to end here.
20:14At that moment, there was an unseen mercy in the middle of the square.
20:19According to the narrations, an angel said to Jujjiz alayhi salam,
20:24O Jujjiz, be patient.
20:27This tyrant will kill you four times.
20:30And by the permission of Allah, I will return you back three times.
20:35On the fourth, you will reach the rank of Shahada.
20:39These words were glad tidings in the middle of death itself,
20:43because sometimes Allah reveals his greatest secrets in the darkest moments.
20:47And then...
20:49The silence in the square broke.
20:53First, there was a slight movement.
20:55One of the soldiers stepped back in fear, because the body tied to the pole had moved.
21:00Then, slowly, Jujjiz alayhi salam lifted his head.
21:05Screams rose from the crowd.
21:07Some people ran backward.
21:09Some collapsed to the ground from fear.
21:11The faces of the soldiers had turned pale white,
21:14because the man they had killed with their own eyes was moving again.
21:18His torn body was slowly returning to its former state.
21:23According to the narrations, Allah brought him back to life.
21:26Then, Jujjiz alayhi salam straightened himself, while still tied to the pole.
21:32The ropes loosened.
21:34He slowly stepped down onto the ground.
21:37He brushed the dust from his clothes.
21:40It was as if he had not faced death only moments earlier.
21:44But this was not the thing that frightened people the most.
21:47What truly shook them was the peace on his face.
21:50Because a person without fear is something tyrants can never understand.
21:56Dadyan took a step backward.
21:58For the first time, there was real fear in his eyes.
22:02Because this was no longer about rebellion.
22:05This was about a man whom even death could not silence.
22:09With slow steps, Jujjiz alayhi salam began walking toward the palace once again.
22:15The crowd moved aside.
22:17Nobody dared to touch him.
22:19The hands of the soldiers were trembling.
22:21And in the middle of that great silence,
22:24Jujjiz alayhi salam said the very same words again.
22:28O Dadyan, believe in Allah.
22:31At that moment, fear changed sides in Mosul.
22:34Because now it was not only the people who were afraid.
22:36The king himself had also begun to fear.
22:40While describing Fir'an against Musa alayhi salam,
22:43it is said they rejected it out of dhulm and arrogance,
22:47even though their hearts were convinced.
22:50What Dadyan was experiencing was exactly this.
22:53His heart could feel the truth.
22:56But his arrogance prevented him from bowing down.
22:59And arrogance sometimes leads a person not only to denial,
23:03but to destruction.
23:05Yet Dadyan still would not surrender.
23:08Because some tyrants do not soften when they see the truth.
23:11They become even more savage.
23:13And now another death was being prepared,
23:16this time not fire, but a boiling cauldron awaited.
23:20When Dadyan saw that Jujjiz alayhi salam had returned to life,
23:24he prepared an even more terrible plan to silence the fear growing inside him.
23:30That night, the fires of Mosul never went out.
23:34In the great square behind the palace, soldiers worked restlessly.
23:38A massive cauldron was being built, made from thick iron, larger than a man.
23:44Hundreds of pieces of wood were piled beneath it.
23:47The flames lit up the night.
23:49A deep red glow struck the stone walls.
23:52And a heavy smell of burning spread across the city.
23:55People were afraid to leave their homes.
23:58But at the same time, they were curious about what was happening.
24:02Because now everyone was speaking about the same thing.
24:05The man who died and returned.
24:07According to the narrations, Dadyan ordered a massive cauldron to be built
24:12and huge fires to be lit beneath it in order to finally kill Jujjiz alayhi salam.
24:19But the thing he truly wanted to destroy was not only a man.
24:23It was the hope beginning to grow inside people.
24:27Because tyrants know one thing well,
24:30once a society stops being afraid, the kingdom begins to collapse.
24:36When morning came, the square was crowded once again.
24:40Even though the soldiers tried to look strong, there was unease in their eyes.
24:45Because they too had started to feel that this was no longer something normal.
24:49And then, Jujjiz alayhi salam was brought forward.
24:53His hands were tied.
24:55The marks of the previous torches were still on his body.
24:59But there was still the same peace upon his face.
25:02It was as if he was not walking toward death, but toward an invitation.
25:08Dadyan stood before his throne.
25:10His voice echoed across the square.
25:13Now let us see whether your lord will save you from this fire.
25:18The soldiers dragged Jujjiz alayhi salam toward the edge of the giant cauldron.
25:22Heavy steam rose from beneath the lid.
25:25The water inside was boiling violently.
25:28The iron cauldron shook with a deep roaring sound.
25:32The flames were so massive that people had to turn their faces away.
25:35And then, they threw him inside.
25:39The lid was shut.
25:40Heavy iron chains were locked into place.
25:43A deep silence covered the square.
25:45Only the sound of the fire could be heard.
25:47The cracking of the wood.
25:49The roaring coming from inside the cauldron.
25:51And the fearful breathing of the people.
25:56Hours passed.
25:57Some narrations say the lid remained closed for a very long time.
26:03Dadyan waited.
26:04This time, he was certain, because nobody could survive fire.
26:10But there was one thing he did not understand.
26:13If Allah wills to protect a servant, even fire obeys his command.
26:19Just like the fire of Ibrahim alayhi salam.
26:21Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alayhi salam said in a hadith.
26:26When Allah wants good for a servant, he tests him.
26:29And sometimes, that test becomes heavier than the human mind can bear.
26:34But the help of Allah also comes from within that very hardship.
26:39Finally, Dadyan raised his hand.
26:41Open it.
26:43The soldiers slowly approached the lid in fear.
26:46The chains were removed.
26:48The heavy iron cover was lifted little by little.
26:51Everyone in the square held their breath.
26:54And then, a scream of fear rose from the crowd.
26:58Because judges alayhi salam was there.
27:00Alive.
27:01Unharmed.
27:02And calm.
27:04According to the narrations, when the lid was opened, nothing had happened to him.
27:08And the expression on his face had not changed.
27:11There was still the same determination in his eyes.
27:14It was as if he had not been standing inside a boiling cauldron.
27:19But beneath a cool shade.
27:22Some soldiers stepped backward.
27:25A spear fell from the hand of one of them onto the ground.
27:28The crowd looked at one another in fear.
27:31Because now it was becoming difficult to deny.
27:34This was not normal.
27:36This did not look like the work of a magician.
27:38This was something else.
27:41Dadyan's face had turned pale white.
27:43For the first time, he truly looked helpless.
27:46Because now he was no longer fighting only a man.
27:49He was standing against a power he could not understand.
27:53And the most terrifying enemy is the one a person cannot understand.
27:57Then Jurgis, alayhi salam, stepped out of the cauldron.
28:01He walked slowly forward.
28:04The crowd moved aside.
28:05Then, looking directly into the eyes of the king, he spoke the same words once again.
28:10Did I not tell you that my lord has power over all things?
28:14At that moment, for the first time, sparks of Iman began to appear in the hearts of many people in
28:20Mosul.
28:21But for Dadyan, this was not the beginning of surrender.
28:25It was the beginning of even greater madness.
28:29Because killing him was no longer enough.
28:32He needed to completely separate him from the people.
28:35And for that reason, the prison gates were opened.
28:39Because Mosul was beginning to change, the whispers were growing.
28:43In the markets, people secretly spoke about the same thing.
28:47What if he truly is sent by Allah?
28:50For tyrants, there is nothing more dangerous than this.
28:54When people stop fearing and start thinking.
28:57That is why this time Dadyan chose a different path.
29:00Instead of killing him, he wanted to break him.
29:04According to the narrations, Jurgis was thrown into prison.
29:09But the king was still not satisfied.
29:12So that he could not speak to people or call anyone to the true religion,
29:16his hands and feet were nailed down, and heavy stones were placed upon him.
29:22That night, the gates of the ancient underground dungeons beneath Mosul were opened.
29:27Soldiers walked through narrow corridors carrying torches.
29:30The sound of dripping water echoed through the halls.
29:33Rusty chains dragged across the ground.
29:36And finally, they reached the deepest cell.
29:38It was a place where sunlight never entered.
29:41The stone walls were covered with moss.
29:44The air felt heavy.
29:45It was as if every breath pulled darkness into the chest.
29:49They leaned Jurgis against the wall.
29:52Then they brought large nails.
29:54Thick, rusty, heavy, iron nails.
29:59One of the soldiers hesitated for a moment.
30:02Because there was no hatred on the face of the man before him.
30:05There was no fear either.
30:06Only peace.
30:07But they feared Dadyan's command.
30:09They raised the nails.
30:11And they nailed his blessed hands to the wall.
30:15The sound of iron striking stone echoed through the dungeon.
30:18Then his feet.
30:20Then the chains.
30:21And after that, a massive marble stone was pressed onto his chest.
30:26The purpose was clear.
30:28So he could not speak.
30:29So he could not stand.
30:31So he could not reach anyone.
30:33Dadyan no longer wanted people even to see his face.
30:37Because sometimes, even the silence of a person speaks the truth.
30:42The doors closed.
30:44The footsteps of the soldiers faded away.
30:46And the dungeon became completely silent.
30:50Now there was one man alone in the darkness.
30:53But in reality, he was not alone.
30:56When Prophet Muhammad saw the companions being tortured in Makkah,
31:01He said,
31:02Be patient.
31:03Allah will certainly make a way out.
31:06When morning came, Dadyan was restless inside his palace.
31:10He had not slept the entire night.
31:12Because once certain fears enter the heart, they never leave.
31:17And now, his fear was Jerjis alayhi salam.
31:21At that very moment, the palace doors opened.
31:24Soldiers rushed inside in panic.
31:27Their faces were pale with fear.
31:29Because the man who was supposed to be inside the dungeon had disappeared once again.
31:35And at the same time, a shadow appeared at the great palace gate.
31:39Jerjis alayhi salam was slowly walking inside once more.
31:43The marks of the chains were still upon him.
31:46But the peace on his face only made the fear inside Dadyan grow even stronger.
31:52And in that moment, the king realized something.
31:56Killing this man would not be easy.
31:59Because the thing standing before him was not only a man.
32:03It was surrender to Allah.
32:05It was Iman.
32:06And it was a miracle.
32:08But Dadyan still would not give up.
32:10Now he was preparing an even more terrible death.
32:14Trees were being cut down.
32:16And lions were being left hungry.
32:18When a tyrant cannot defeat the truth, he tries to mock it.
32:22If he cannot mock it, he tries to deny it.
32:25And if he cannot deny it, he tries to silence it with torture and death.
32:31But this time, something different was happening.
32:34The people of Mosul were witnessing everything with their own eyes.
32:39And they were beginning to ask, what if Allah is truly protecting him?
32:44That single question was enough to shake the throne of a king.
32:49That night, Dadyan could not sleep inside his palace.
32:53He walked through the corridors in anger, shouting at everyone around him.
32:57But what he truly felt was not anger.
33:00It was fear.
33:02Because he was seriously beginning to lose control.
33:05Then one of his advisors quietly approached him and said,
33:09This man must be a great magician.
33:12If he came with magic, then only a greater magician can stop him.
33:17This idea felt like hope to Dadyan's desperate mind.
33:22He immediately gave the order.
33:23The most famous magician of Mosul and the nearby cities was summoned to the palace.
33:30According to the narrations, this man was known as someone so powerful that even other magicians feared him.
33:37Near midnight, the great palace doors opened.
33:41An old man entered inside.
33:43He wore long dark robes, talismans hung around his neck, and he carried small leather pouches in his hands.
33:50His face was harsh.
33:52His eyes were full of pride.
33:54Because until that day, there had been nothing he could not solve.
33:58Dadyan called him before the throne.
34:00Then, clenching his teeth, he said,
34:01Stop this man!
34:03The magician stared at Jurgis for a long time.
34:07Then, in a calm voice, he said,
34:10Leave him to me.
34:12The square was prepared once again.
34:14The people of Mosul gathered again.
34:16But this time, the atmosphere felt different.
34:19Alongside fear, there was great curiosity.
34:23Because everyone felt that something was about to happen.
34:26The magician placed small bowls onto the ground.
34:30He poured strange mixtures into them.
34:33He recited unknown words.
34:34His lips moved with whispers nobody could understand.
34:39Then he filled one bowl with water.
34:42He stared into it for a long time.
34:44And according to the narrations, he placed all the magic he knew upon that water.
34:50The crowd became completely silent.
34:52Even the wind seemed to stop.
34:55Finally, the magician handed the bowl to Jurgis .
34:59There was a dark hope on Dadayan's face.
35:03This time, he was certain.
35:05Because he believed he could defeat anything that deceived people.
35:09But there was something he did not understand.
35:11Truth does not fight magic.
35:15It destroys it.
35:17Jurgis took the bowl into his hands.
35:20Not even for a moment did he hesitate.
35:22There was no fear.
35:24No doubt.
35:25He gently raised his head and said only these words.
35:28Bismillah ar-Rahman ar-Rahim.
35:31Then he drank the water.
35:34Everyone in the square held their breath.
35:36Dadayan watched him without blinking.
35:38The magician was completely confident.
35:41Because there was no person who could survive that mixture.
35:45Seconds passed.
35:46Then minutes.
35:47But nothing happened.
35:49Jurgis remained standing.
35:53Calm, peaceful and firm.
35:55Fearful murmurs rose from the crowd.
35:58Some people stepped backward.
36:00Some began to cry.
36:02Because people were no longer able to deny what they were seeing.
36:05But the greatest shock appeared on the face of the magician himself.
36:09His hands had started trembling.
36:12His eyes widened.
36:13Because more than anyone else, he knew what was magic.
36:17And this was not magic.
36:19According to the narrations, the magician finally said,
36:23This can only be from Allah.
36:25Then, before everyone inside the palace of Dadayan,
36:28he fearlessly declared,
36:30I have believed.
36:32The square froze.
36:33It was as if time itself had stopped.
36:36Dadayan's face turned pale like stone.
36:40Because sometimes, the belief of one person is a heavier blow than a thousand soldiers.
36:46Especially when that person is the one you trusted the most.
36:50Remember, Firaun had also brought magicians against Musa in the same way.
36:56But when the magicians saw the miracles of Musa, they understood that it was not magic.
37:02And all of them believed at once, even under the threats of Firaun.
37:07This moment is mentioned in Surah Taha verse 70.
37:11And just like Firaun, Dadayan rose in fury.
37:15You too have been deceived, he shouted.
37:19But the magician was no longer afraid.
37:21Because once a person sees the truth, he can never return to his old life again.
37:27Prophet Muhammad SAW said,
37:31The truth is clear, and falsehood is clear.
37:34And that day, in the square of Mosul,
37:37truth and falsehood became completely separated from one another.
37:41And now Dadayan was not only afraid, he was losing his mind.
37:46Because now the matter was no longer only about Jurgis .
37:51The truth had entered even into the palace itself.
37:54And very soon, the king would give a new command that would turn all his fear into blood.
38:00In the markets, in the narrow streets, behind closed doors,
38:05people had started secretly speaking about Allah.
38:08And Dadayan could feel it.
38:10For tyrants, the silent change of the people is even more frightening than open rebellion.
38:16For the first time, he felt his throne beginning to shake.
38:20But the thing that would truly destroy him had not happened yet.
38:25Because now, the truth was about to enter the palace itself.
38:30And during those very days, something unexpected happened inside the palace.
38:35According to the narrations, even Dadayan's own wife, Queen Alexandra,
38:40joined those who believed in Jurgis .
38:43And this was the blow Dadayan could not endure.
38:47That night, silence filled the women's chambers of the palace.
38:52The torches burned slowly.
38:54The wind moved the long curtains.
38:56The queen was alone.
38:58But her mind was in complete turmoil.
39:01Because she too had seen it.
39:03The man who came out of the boiling cauldron.
39:06The man the lions could not touch.
39:08The man who made poison powerless with Bismillah.
39:12And most importantly, the man who did not fear death.
39:16Sometimes a person is not affected by a miracle alone.
39:20But by the peace inside another human being.
39:23And something like that had happened inside the queen.
39:27Because everyone inside the palace was afraid.
39:29The soldiers were afraid.
39:32The advisors were afraid.
39:34Even Dadayan himself was afraid.
39:36But Jurgis was not afraid.
39:39And that had shaken her heart.
39:42Some narrations say that the queen secretly met with believers.
39:46She listened to the message of the oneness of Allah.
39:49She learned what Jurgis was teaching.
39:52And finally, the last veil over her heart was lifted.
39:56Quietly, she believed.
39:57But secrets do not remain hidden for long inside palaces.
40:02One night, Dadayan discovered the truth.
40:05At first, he could not believe it.
40:08Then he lost his mind with rage.
40:10His screams echoed through the palace.
40:12Because for tyrants, the greatest betrayal is when someone close to them accepts the truth.
40:18The queen was brought before him.
40:20The entire hall was silent.
40:22Even the soldiers did not dare to raise their heads.
40:25Clenching his teeth, Dadayan asked,
40:29You too believed in him?
40:31In a calm voice, she answered,
40:34I no longer seek help from stones.
40:37The only true God is Allah.
40:40Those words struck Dadayan like the final dagger in his heart.
40:45Because now the matter was no longer only about the people.
40:49He was losing even his own palace.
40:51In the Quran, the dua of the wife of Firan is mentioned.
40:56My Lord, build for me a home with you in paradise.
41:00Even inside the palaces of tyrants, hearts can still turn toward Allah.
41:05And throughout history, it has always been this way.
41:08Now Dadayan had completely lost control.
41:12Because the truth had entered through the walls.
41:15Torture had failed.
41:16Death had failed.
41:17Fear had failed.
41:18And now, even inside his own home, people were mentioning the name of Allah.
41:24At that moment, Dadayan made his final decision.
41:28He abandoned mercy completely.
41:30The sound of chains echoing through the cold stone corridors of the palace became the sound of Queen Alexandra's final
41:38walk.
41:39They did not take her to the magnificent palace gardens.
41:42They brought her instead to the square, where suffering was the greatest.
41:47When Alexandra knelt before the executioner, there was not the smallest trace of fear on her face.
41:53Instead, the ocean-like peace she had once seen in the eyes of Jurgis, alayhi salam, had now spread across
42:01her own face.
42:02Dadayan shouted,
42:03Give this up! Return to your palace! Return to your throne as Queen!
42:08Alexandra smiled softly.
42:11For a tyrant, this was one of the heaviest answers possible.
42:15She raised her eyes toward the sky, and her lips quietly moved in prayer.
42:20Afterward, although terrible tortures were carried out against her, just like Asir, the wife of Firaun,
42:26she never abandoned her iman, and in the end, her body surrendered to the torture.
42:33Alexandra had died.
42:35But the single sentence she left behind remained inside the palace walls forever, like a hidden dicker echoing through time.
42:44Tyrants could burn entire cities, but no ruler would ever have the power to extinguish the fire of Emon once
42:52it entered a heart.
42:53According to the narrations, after the king killed his own wife, the pain and rage of losing her drove him
43:01to order the execution of everyone who had believed.
43:03All night long, soldiers spread through the streets of Mosul.
43:09Doors were broken down, homes were raided, people were dragged into the squares, some were old, some were young,
43:16and some were ordinary people walking toward death only because they believed in Allah.
43:21But here, the heaviest part of the story truly began.
43:26Because the people being killed were the people who had believed in the call of Jergis, a.s.
43:34Some had seen him in the square, some had only heard the stories about him,
43:39but all of them had united upon the same truth.
43:43Allah is one.
43:46And sometimes it is easy to kill a person, but impossible to kill a belief.
43:51The square of Mosul filled once again.
43:54But this time, there was not only one man standing there.
43:58There were hundreds of believers.
44:00Some had their hands tied.
44:02Some whispered quiet du'as.
44:04Women held their children tightly.
44:06Old men lifted their eyes toward the sky.
44:09But the most striking thing was the peace on their faces.
44:12Because Iman sometimes gives a person calmness even in front of death itself.
44:18Prophet Muhammad SAW said,
44:21No one who enters paradise wishes to return to the world except the martyr
44:26because of the honor he sees.
44:28He wishes to return and be martyred again.
44:31And that day in Mosul, people were no longer thinking about the world.
44:35They were thinking about the Akira.
44:38Blood flowed through the streets of Mosul.
44:41One by one, the believers were killed.
44:44But according to the narrations, not a single one bowed before the idol.
44:49And this only drove Dadiyan deeper into madness.
44:52Because no matter how many people he killed, he could not feel victory.
44:57Instead, every death made him feel smaller.
45:01And Jurgis A.S. watched all of this.
45:06He had endured his own pain.
45:08He had endured torture.
45:10He had endured death itself.
45:11But watching the believers become martyrs weighed heavily upon his heart.
45:17According to the narrations, he raised his hands and made dua to Allah.
45:21He lifted his eyes toward the sky.
45:24Tears filled his eyes.
45:26And he said,
45:27God, my lord, take my soul now.
45:31And destroy these tyrants.
45:34That dua would change the fate of Mosul.
45:38Because sometimes the dua of an oppressed person brings the end of an entire city.
45:43And the sky was preparing to answer that prayer.
45:46The gates had closed.
45:48The squares had become silent.
45:51But this was not the silence of peace.
45:54It was the silence before the end.
45:57Because the dua of Jurgis A.S. had risen to the heavens.
46:01And the thing tyrants fear most is the dua of the oppressed.
46:06Meanwhile, Dadiyan still sat upon his throne.
46:10But he was no longer the same king.
46:13The arrogance from the first day they met was gone.
46:15Fear had replaced it.
46:18Because nothing he had done had brought victory.
46:21The iron combs.
46:22The boiling cauldron.
46:24The dungeon.
46:25The lions.
46:26The magicians.
46:27The massacres.
46:29None of them had silenced Jurgis A.S.
46:31And now Dadiyan had only one thing left.
46:35The final death.
46:36According to the narrations, Jurgis A.S. was killed for the fourth time.
46:42And this became his final shahada.
46:44But this death was different from the others.
46:47Because from the very beginning the angel had already said,
46:51On the fourth you will reach the rank of shahada.
46:56And now that time had come.
46:59When morning arrived, the square of Mosul filled once again.
47:04But this time the faces of the people looked different.
47:08Because many had already accepted the truth deep inside their hearts.
47:12Nobody dared to speak loudly.
47:15But the direction of fear had changed.
47:18Before the people feared the king.
47:21Now the king feared the punishment of Allah.
47:24Jurgis A.S. was brought into the square.
47:28There was tiredness on his face.
47:30But there was also peace.
47:32Because some people fear death when it approaches.
47:35And others feel reunion drawing near.
47:38And that was exactly what could be seen in his eyes.
47:42Quiet cries rose from the crowd.
47:44The believers were seeing him for the last time.
47:47Some bit their lips in grief.
47:49Some whispered silent duas.
47:51But there was no fear on the face of Jurgis A.S.
47:54He raised his head toward the sky.
47:57And as if he had left all his suffering behind in a single moment.
48:01He took a deep breath.
48:04Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam said.
48:07This world is a prison for the believer.
48:10And a paradise for the disbeliever.
48:13For Jurgis A.S.
48:15The prison was now ending.
48:18Because his real life was only now beginning.
48:22Dadian came before him for the final time.
48:25He tried to look angry.
48:26But his voice was trembling.
48:28And Jurgis A.S. stood calmly before him.
48:32The king shouted one last time.
48:35Who will save you now?
48:37Jurgis A.S. looked at him peacefully and replied.
48:41My lord is enough for me.
48:43I'm going to meet him.
48:45Those words reignited all of Dadian's rage.
48:48He raised his hand.
48:51The executioners moved forward.
48:54The silence in the square grew heavy.
48:56The wind became stronger.
48:59The sky began to darken.
49:02And then Jurgis A.S. was martyred for the fourth time.
49:07This time he did not return.
49:09Because now it was no longer time to return.
49:12It was time for reunion.
49:14According to the narrations, after his Shahada, the punishment of Allah descended.
49:20First, the sky began to change.
49:22Dark clouds covered Mosul.
49:24Violent winds began to blow.
49:27People ran toward their homes in fear.
49:29Soldiers tried desperately to understand what was happening.
49:33Then the fire came.
49:34Some narrations say that the disbelievers were destroyed through a great punishment.
49:40Screams filled the city.
49:41The walls of the palace shook.
49:43And the tyrannical system that had spread fear among people for years began collapsing in a single night.
49:50Because Allah sometimes gives tyrants time, but he never forgets.
49:54The Quran says, Allah is not unaware of what the wrongdoers do.
49:59And that was how the kingdom of Dadiyan ended.
50:02The golden idols.
50:04The palaces.
50:05The soldiers.
50:06All of them disappeared.
50:08But the strange thing is this.
50:10Today, nobody remembers Dadiyan.
50:13But the name of Jurgis A.S. has continued to be told for centuries.
50:18Because oppression lives loudly.
50:20But truth remains quietly.
50:22And sometimes a person dies.
50:25But the iman he leaves behind continues living for centuries.
50:29Yet the story of Jurgis A.S. did not end there.
50:33Because centuries later, the western world would come to know him by another name.
50:38As a dragon slayer.
50:40A person dies.
50:42But the story continues to live.
50:44And as time passes, stories begin to change.
50:47Truth slowly turns into legend.
50:50And sometimes, even the memory of a prophet takes on a completely different identity.
50:55That is exactly what happened to Jurgis A.S.
50:59Years passed after his Shahada.
51:02Empires changed.
51:03Cities were destroyed.
51:05New religious stories appeared.
51:07But people never forgot the man who died and returned to life.
51:11Especially around Palestine, Sham, Mosul, and Anatolia.
51:15His story continued to be told for centuries.
51:18The person known in Islamic sources as Jurgis A.S. became known in the Christian world as Saint George.
51:26In the west, they called him Saint George.
51:29In the east, they called him Mar Jurgis.
51:32And in some regions, people even confused him with Kidder.
51:35Because his story was never an ordinary story.
51:38A man who returned from death.
51:41A believer who never bowed to torture.
51:43And a warrior of truth who stood alone before a tyrant king.
51:47People cannot forget stories like this.
51:50But as time passed, the original story slowly became covered.
51:55And new legends began to appear.
51:58The most famous of them was the dragon story.
52:01In the western world, Saint George began to be described as a knight who killed a dragon.
52:07A warrior on a white horse.
52:10A spear in his hand.
52:12A giant dragon before him.
52:15And a rescued princess.
52:17Especially in Europe, this image became so widespread that eventually the English declared him one of their spiritual protectors.
52:26Even in the symbols of Tsarist Russia.
52:29Images of Saint George killing a dragon while riding a white horse were used.
52:34But the interesting thing was this.
52:36Behind all those legends, the same essence still remained.
52:40A man was standing against evil.
52:43Only the dragon had changed.
52:46Because in the real story, the dragon was not a monster.
52:50It was oppression.
52:51It was arrogant kings.
52:53It was idol worship.
52:54And it was the system that enslaved people through fear.
52:58Islamic sources preserved his story differently.
53:02Tabari.
53:02Salabi.
53:04Books of Qisas al-Anbiya.
53:06And many other sources continued describing his tortures.
53:10His returns to life.
53:11And his patience.
53:13Yet even so, the name of Jerjis alayhi salam never became as widely known as the names of other prophets.
53:20Because he was not clearly mentioned in the Quran.
53:23And there were no detailed authentic hadiths about him.
53:27For this reason, some scholars believed he was a Nabi.
53:30While others believed he was a righteous Wali.
53:33But almost all of them agreed on one point.
53:36He showed extraordinary patience in the way of Allah.
53:40And perhaps because of this, many centuries later, Bediüzzaman Said Nursi reminded people of his name once again.
53:48While speaking about the hardships faced by the students of Nur, he said,
53:53Be patient like Jerjis alayhi salam, whose skin and flesh were torn away.
54:00Because the story of Jerjis alayhi salam did not belong only to the past.
54:05It continued to happen again in every age.
54:09People who spoke the truth continued to face oppression.
54:13Tyrants changed.
54:14But their methods never changed.
54:17Some people still tried to silence others through fear.
54:20Some still treated worldly power as a god.
54:23And some still paid the price for truth.
54:26Perhaps that is why the story of Jerjis alayhi salam never completely disappeared.
54:32Because in every age, people continued seeing traces of him in their own time.
54:38Places of visitation were built in his name in Mosul.
54:42Monasteries were established in Palestine.
54:44Around Jerusalem, people mentioned his name in prayers.
54:48But among all these stories, the most remarkable thing was this.
54:53People still talked about his courage.
54:55Because some people enter history not through their swords, but through their patience.
55:00And Jerjis alayhi salam perhaps made one of the quietest yet most powerful challenges in history.
55:07He taught people not to fear death.
55:10But now, there was another side to this story.
55:13The side that looks directly at us.
55:16Because Jerjis alayhi salam was not only a man who lived in the past.
55:21His story was also saying something to the people of today.
55:24Actually, the world has not changed very much.
55:27Today, there may not be kings like before, but there are still tyrant leaders.
55:32And somewhere in the world, people are still being tortured, killed, and driven from their homes while everyone watches.
55:39Even today, crowds stay silent out of fear.
55:44And even today, many people ignore the truth for the sake of comfort.
55:48That is why the story of Jerjis alayhi salam is not only a historical story.
55:54It is a mirror.
55:56When a person looks at it, he begins asking himself,
55:59If I had lived in that time, what would I have done?
56:04Would I have bowed before the idol?
56:06Or would I have stood with the truth, even if I were alone?
56:11In reality, the answer to that question is hidden in today as well.
56:16Today, do you stay silent and focus only on your own life?
56:19Or at least make duar and show which side you stand on?
56:23Beyond that, do you speak out on social media?
56:27Help keep these issues visible and try to reach more people so public awareness can grow and these dhulm can
56:33be stopped.
56:35Jerjis alayhi salam was also alone.
56:37He had no army beside him.
56:39No supporters.
56:41No worldly power.
56:42He only had Iman.
56:44And sometimes Allah gives a person only that, so he can stand against the entire world.
56:50That is why you should never see your actions as worthless.
56:53In the early years in Mecca, Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wasallam was almost completely alone.
57:00Noor alayhi salam walked for years with only a small number of people.
57:05Ibrahim alayhi salam was thrown into the fire alone.
57:09Throughout history, truth was never decided by numbers.
57:12It was decided by the heart.
57:14And this is exactly what the story of Jerjis alayhi salam reminds us.
57:19When a person truly relies upon Allah, fear begins to change.
57:24Because the greatest fear of people is death.
57:28But someone who no longer fears death becomes impossible to stop.
57:32Perhaps that is why Dadiyan could never defeat him.
57:36He tortured his body, but he could not break his will.
57:38He killed him, but he could not silence his message.
57:42Because sometimes the truth lives longer than the life of a single person.
57:47Today people still remember Firan as a tyrant.
57:51But they remember Musa alayhi salam with mercy.
57:54The palaces of Namrud disappeared.
57:57But the name of Ibrahim alayhi salam continued to live.
58:02The golden idols of Dadiyan also vanished.
58:05But the story of Jerjis alayhi salam is still being told.
58:10Because throughout history, the same truth repeats itself.
58:14Oppression is loud, but short.
58:16Truth is quiet, but lasting.
58:19One of the greatest lessons Judges alayhi salam left behind is patience.
58:24Because he did not only endure pain.
58:27He waited for people to believe.
58:29He saw death again and again.
58:31He was tortured.
58:32He was left alone.
58:34But he never lost hope in Allah.
58:36The Quran says surely Allah is with those who are patient.
58:40Perhaps this was the true essence of his story.
58:43Patience, but not passive patience.
58:45An active patience that stands firmly beside the truth.
58:49Working for the cause.
58:51Teaching Iman to more people.
58:53Living Iman.
58:55Even in this age, these things will show us many miracles.
58:58The greatest thing missing in us today is Iman itself.
59:02Once that Iman truly exists, even fires cannot burn.
59:06And worldly causes lose their power.
59:09The Islamic armies in the past were far smaller in number.
59:12Yet they defeated every enemy before them.
59:15Now there are two billion Muslims.
59:18Yet they are constantly defeated.
59:20And the greatest reason for this is weakness of Iman.
59:24The Muslims before us chose the Ahira over the Dunya.
59:28But today, even though we know about the Ahira,
59:31we choose the small pleasures that are immediate and close.
59:34Because the blessings of Janna seem distant and delayed.
59:39We push away enormous eternal rewards for temporary pleasures.
59:43This observation belongs to Bediuzaman Said Nursi.
59:47And truly, many people behave this way.
59:49But we should understand the temporary nature of Dunya
59:52from the palace of Dadayan itself.
59:54The
