00:00One of the four kings who ruled the world, the destroyer of the Temple of Suleyman and Jerusalem,
00:07the nightmare of the Jews, the King of Babylon, Nebuchadnezzar.
00:14Tell me my dream, or you will die.
00:20And one command echoed across the lands.
00:24Kill them all.
00:26But one dream would change everything.
00:28A forgotten dream would turn into a prophecy that would shake empires.
00:33And there was a man who stood against it, Daniel, Aleyhis Salaam.
00:39And a secret, hidden under the ground for thousands of years, lost and revealed again in our time,
00:46so much so that his name still appears today, even in films like The Matrix.
00:52You will witness the mysterious story of Nebuchadnezzar and Daniel, Aleyhis Salaam.

01:11If you are ready, let's begin.
01:17History sometimes darkens with the name of a single man.
01:21And when Babylon is mentioned, one of the most frightening names rising from that darkness is this, Nebuchadnezzar.
01:30Known in Islamic sources as Bukhtu Nasr, this king was not only a ruler.
01:35He was one of the four great rulers who dominated the world.
01:39Two of them were believers and two were disbelievers.
01:43The believers were Suleyman, Aleyhis Salaam, and Zulkarnayn.
01:47The disbelievers were Nimrod and Nebuchadnezzar.
01:50So the man before us was not an ordinary king.
01:54Nebuchadnezzar was not only powerful on the battlefield,
01:58he was also an architect who turned Babylon into a magnificent center.
02:03The hanging gardens of Babylon, nourished by the waters of the Euphrates, are remembered in his time.
02:09With its temples, palaces, armies, and cities, Babylon became one of the most dazzling centers of power of that era.
02:17But behind this greatness, there was blood, fear, and vuln.
02:23He was a ruler who burned and destroyed cities that did not obey him,
02:27crushed those who refused to bow to him, and punished without mercy those who did not submit to idols.
02:33And one of the most important places he turned his eyes to was Jerusalem.
02:37But in this story, there was not only a tyrant king,
02:41there was also a society slowly preparing its own end, the children of Israel.
02:47At that time, in the region of Jerusalem, there were many prophets and scholars.
02:53It is even narrated that almost every neighborhood had a Nabi.
02:58But instead of listening to the warners sent to them, the children of Israel began to oppose them.
03:03They were killing their prophets unjustly, murdering scholars, changing the limits of the religion, and making sins ordinary.
03:12Alcohol, zina, interest, and bidah had spread deeply into society.
03:18This was no longer just a moral corruption.
03:21This was the moment when divine warning reached the door.
03:24First, Allah gave them a chance.
03:27According to narrations, when Nebuchadnezzar was sent upon them for the first time,
03:32he was turned back because they repented.
03:35But time passed.
03:37They returned to their old sins.
03:39Oppression increased.
03:41New practices were added into the religion.
03:43The voices of the prophets were silenced.
03:46Hearts became hardened.
03:47And then Nebuchadnezzar appeared again.
03:50This time, not to turn back.
03:53This time, to stand at the gates of Jerusalem.
03:56His army was large.
03:58His power was terrifying.
04:00His rule was vast.
04:01But what made him truly dangerous was not only the sword in his hand.
04:05What made him terrifying was that he was described as a heavy punishment sent by Allah upon a rebellious people.
04:12So what was approaching Jerusalem was not only the army of Babylon.
04:16What was approaching was the result of years of accumulated sins, the prophets who were killed,
04:23the truth that was silenced, and the warnings that were denied.
04:27And now the doors were closing because Nebuchadnezzar had risen,
04:32and Jerusalem, unaware of the coming storm, was walking toward its own end.
04:39Jerusalem
04:41Once it was the city where prophets walked and revelation echoed.
04:44But like every city, it changed.
04:47The children of Israel were disturbed by the prophets sent by Allah,
04:51because truth is heavy for the human ego.
04:55And to escape this burden, they chose the most dangerous path, to silence the truth.
05:02At first, the children of Israel began by rejecting,
05:05But when that was not enough, they went further, until they reached the point of killing the prophets.
05:13One of the first major breaking points was the killing of Shaya, alayhi salam.
05:18This was not just a murder.
05:20This was a war declared against divine warning.
05:24After this event, returning back became very difficult.
05:28Allah gave them one more chance.
05:31Another prophet was sent, Ermiyyah, alayhi salam.
05:35The mission of Ermiyyah was clear.
05:37To remind them of what they had done,
05:40to tell them about the blessings they were given,
05:42and to warn them about the coming disaster.
05:45According to the narrations, Allah addressed Ermiyyah.
05:48Ermiyyah, your people have gone beyond limits.
05:51Remind them of the blessings I gave them.
05:53Tell them about their sins.
05:55Call them to obey me.
05:57Ermiyyah went.
05:59He spoke.
06:00He warned.
06:01But nothing changed.
06:02They did not listen to him.
06:04They rejected him.
06:06Then they beat him.
06:07They put him in chains.
06:08At that point, it was no longer just about sin.
06:11This was open rebellion.
06:13This process continued for three years.
06:16Nothing changed.
06:17Sins increased.
06:19Warnings decreased.
06:20Revelation began to stop.
06:22And the most dangerous part was this.
06:24The society started to see what they were doing as normal.
06:28This is how destruction begins.
06:31Not suddenly, but slowly.
06:33By rotting from the inside.
06:35Finally, that moment came.
06:37The warnings were over.
06:39Now, not words, but consequences would speak.
06:42One day, Ermiyyah, alayhi salam,
06:45went up to the walls of Jerusalem.
06:47Do you know what he saw below?
06:50An army, but not an ordinary army.
06:53More crowded than a swarm of locusts.
06:57This was the army of Nebuchadnezzar.
06:59Six hundred thousand banners.
07:02Countless soldiers.
07:03An unstoppable force.
07:04The king of Jerusalem ran to Ermiyyah in fear.
07:07Allah had promised us.
07:09He would protect us.
07:10But this time, the situation was different.
07:13Because this time, the problem was not the enemy.
07:17The problem was inside.
07:19And while Ermiyyah sat on the walls and looked at the armies,
07:22he said,
07:22You have such a lord that this world is nothing for him.
07:28But this was not a statement of salvation.
07:31It was the silent acceptance of the coming end.
07:35Because there was no return anymore.
07:37The door of repentance had closed.
07:41The blood of the prophets would now be accounted for.
07:44And Jerusalem was about to face the destiny it had prepared with its own hands.
07:50The silence that fell over Jerusalem was a sign of the coming disaster.
07:56Outside the city walls, there was an army stretching to the horizon.
08:00This was not just a military force.
08:03This was a destruction coming as the result of years of accumulated sins,
08:09denial, and the blood of prophets.
08:12At first, the people of Jerusalem thought this was a temporary threat.
08:16Warnings had come before, repentance had been made,
08:19and disasters had been turned away.
08:21They hoped the same would happen again.
08:24But this time was different.
08:26Because there was no change anymore.
08:28Sins had become habits, and warnings were completely ignored.
08:33The prophet Ermiyyah made dua.
08:36But this was not a dua for salvation.
08:39This was a dua of surrender to divine justice.
08:42He asked that if this people were upon truth, they should be saved,
08:47and if not, they should face the end they deserved.
08:51After the dua, events unfolded very quickly.
08:54A lightning bolt came down from the sky and struck Masjid al-Aqsa.
08:59According to the narrations, the doors of the sanctuary sank into the ground,
09:03and a great shaking spread through the city.
09:07This was the beginning of the destruction.
09:10Nebuchadnezzar no longer waited.
09:12He gave the command to his army.
09:14Jerusalem was surrounded.
09:16The city was completely encircled, and those inside had nowhere to escape.
09:21Then the attack began.
09:23When the Babylonian army entered the city, there was no real defense left.
09:28The resistance was short.
09:30Because this was not a battle.
09:33This was an end.
09:35The city was set on fire.
09:37Houses, streets, and places of worship began to burn one by one.
09:42The temple of Suleyman alayhi salam, considered the heart of Jerusalem, was completely destroyed.
09:49This was not just a building.
09:50This was the collapse of a civilization.
09:53Soil was piled over Masjid al-Aqsa.
09:56Nebuchadnezzar ordered his soldiers to remove their armor, fill them with soil, and pour that soil over the sanctuary.
10:04In the end, the sacred place was completely covered and became invisible.
10:10The massacre was even more terrifying.
10:13According to sources, hundreds of thousands of people were killed.
10:17Some narrations say the number was between 800,000 and 2 million.
10:22It is even said that the Euphrates River flowed with blood for days.
10:27This was not only a physical destruction.
10:30This was the complete collapse of a society.
10:33Some were killed, some were enslaved, and some were taken captive in chains.
10:38Jerusalem was no longer a city.
10:40It was a ruin.
10:42And this ruin would remain like this for 70 years.
10:46For Nebuchadnezzar, this was a victory.
10:48But in reality, this victory showed a truth far greater than his power.
10:53People saw it as the success of a king.
10:56But in truth, this was the manifestation of divine justice.
11:01Because sometimes a city is not destroyed from the outside, but from within.
11:06And this is how Jerusalem fell.
11:08Allah informs this truth in the Quran at the beginning of Surah al-Isra.
11:13We declared to the children of Israel in the book,
11:16You will surely cause corruption on the earth twice, and you will rise to great arrogance.
11:22When the time of the first corruption came, we sent against you strong servants of ours.
11:28They entered between the homes and searched every place.
11:31This was a promise fulfilled.
11:34The strong servants sent for the first corruption were this, Nebuchadnezzar.
11:38A people who tried to silence the prophets were, in the end, silenced by history itself.
11:44But this silence was not only a disaster, it was also the beginning of a new story.
11:50Because among those groups taken into exile, a child would be walking,
11:55someone whose name no one yet knew.
11:58And that child's name would still be remembered centuries later.
12:03After the fire was extinguished, nothing remained in Jerusalem except ashes.
12:10Those who survived were divided into two groups, those who escaped and those who could not.
12:16Those who escaped sought refuge in Egypt.
12:19Those who could not escape knelt before the soldiers of Nebuchadnezzar.
12:24And after that moment of kneeling, the freedom of a people who had lived free for centuries disappeared into history.
12:33Nebuchadnezzar, according to narrations, took 70,000 children captive.
12:38The governors of other regions, instead of asking for money in the distribution of spoils, demanded these children.
12:46Each governor received four children.
12:49One third of all captives were taken as prisoners.
12:52One third were made slaves, and one third were killed on the spot.
12:57Whatever sacred items remained in Jerusalem, whatever valuable objects existed, all of them were taken to Babylon.
13:06The treasures of the Temple of Suleyman, the holy books, golden lamps, and symbols of rituals,
13:13all of them became the spoils of defeat.
13:16And then the great march began.
13:20Thousands of children with their hands chained, feet covered in dust, and eyes filled with confusion,
13:27were forced to walk toward Babylon.
13:30Behind most of them was a burning city.
13:33In front of them was a world they had never seen, whose language they did not know,
13:38whose gods they did not worship.
13:40It was a long and merciless journey.
13:44The weak fell on the road.
13:46The strong continued.
13:48When they reached Babylon, Nebuchadnezzar distributed the captured children among his commanders.
13:55His command was clear.
13:57Take these children, teach them our language, make them adapt to our culture, and prepare them for service in the
14:04palace.
14:04They were placed in the rich houses of Babylon.
14:07Fine food was given to them, and wine was offered.
14:10The goal was clear, to melt them into the system and assimilate them, to cut them off from their identity,
14:17their belief, and their memory.
14:18And for most of them, this plan worked.
14:22Growing up in that luxurious environment, the children slowly began to lose their Jewish identity.
14:28They became used to alcohol, fell into haram, and accepted living under the shadow of idols.
14:35The exile of Babylon was not only a physical captivity.
14:40It was the captivity of souls.
14:42It was the erosion of faith.
14:44It was the erasing of the memory of generations.
14:48And the first corruption that Allah had informed about was completed in this way.
14:53The walls were destroyed, the sanctuary was ruined, and the people were scattered in every direction.
15:01One of the darkest pages in the history of the children of Israel was being written.
15:06But within that group of exiles, among that crowd, there was a young boy whose name was not yet known.
15:13He was around 14 years old, from a noble lineage, a descendant of Dawud, alayhi salam.
15:21Yes, he was captured.
15:23Yes, he was chained like the others.
15:26But there was something that made him different.
15:29No one realized it yet.
15:31Maybe not even himself.
15:33Allah had already decreed something for him long before, before he was born,
15:38even when his family left him in the forest, and the time of that decree was approaching.
15:43Some lives come under threat before they even begin.
15:48It was around 605 BC, in Jerusalem, in a noble family of the kingdom of Judah,
15:54a child was born, descended from Dawud, alayhi salam.
15:58The baby was healthy and beautiful.
16:00The joy of the parents had not yet fully settled in their hearts, when a fear reached their door.
16:07Because that night, it was not only their child who had been born.
16:11And a message was coming from Babylon.
16:16According to narrations, Nebuchadnezzar had seen a dream in a deep sleep days before.
16:21In his dream, he saw that a male child from the children of Israel would one day shake his throne
16:28and end his rule.
16:30As soon as he woke up, he raised the palace into alarm.
16:34He gathered the priests, magicians, and advisors.
16:38What does this dream mean? he asked.
16:41And the answer from all of them was the same.
16:43O king, this dream points to a reality.
16:47If that child is born, your throne is in danger.
16:52Nebuchadnezzar's decision did not delay.
16:54A decree was issued.
16:56That night, and from then on, all male children born among the children of Israel would be identified and killed.
17:04Just like in the times of Ibrahim, alayhi salam, and Musa, alayhi salam,
17:09there would again be someone who would have to be hidden even as a baby.
17:14And in the future, he would shake the kingdom.
17:16And so, in this repeating history, the king's soldiers spread through the city once again.
17:24Every house was entered.
17:26Every birth was checked.
17:27Mothers held their babies, and soldiers tore them away.
17:30That night in Jerusalem was filled with the cries of children.
17:34In the middle of that chaos, a small baby was born.
17:39His family gave him a name, Daniel.
17:42It meant, Allah has judged.
17:44And truly, Allah had already made a decree about this child.
17:48But his family did not know this.
17:50They were only filled with fear.
17:53What could they do?
17:54To surrender him meant death.
17:57To hide him was only temporary.
17:59The soldiers would find him sooner or later.
18:02There was no time to escape.
18:04In that helpless moment, only one thought came to their minds.
18:08To leave it to Allah.
18:11The mother's eyes filled with tears.
18:14She wrapped the baby, held him close, and smelled him one last time.
18:18Then she stood up.
18:19She walked toward the forest.
18:21It was a lonely, wild forest.
18:24There were lions.
18:25There were wolves.
18:26Danger in every corner.
18:27But staying at home was also dangerous.
18:30Maybe even more.
18:31She found a place.
18:32She knelt down.
18:34She gently placed the baby on the ground.
18:36She looked at his small face one more time.
18:39Tears flowed from her eyes.
18:41Then she turned and walked away.
18:44Without looking back.
18:46In the forest, under the leaves, a small baby was left alone.
18:51The chance of survival was almost zero.
18:55There was cold.
18:56There was hunger.
18:57And that forest was not empty.
18:59It was the home of wild animals.
19:02But the protection of Allah does not follow limits.
19:05That night, in that forest,
19:07what happened to that baby is something we will now see.
19:11A chain of miracles that challenges the limits of human understanding was about to begin.
19:17The forest was silent.
19:19Moonlight filtered through the leaves and fell on the small body lying on the ground.
19:24The wind was blowing.
19:26From afar, the howl of a wolf was heard.
19:28Then another sound.
19:30Closer.
19:31Heavier.
19:32The sound of pause.
19:34First, a shadow appeared in the darkness.
19:37Then two shadows.
19:39Two lions, large and powerful, their eyes shining in the dark.
19:44One male, one female.
19:46Step by step, they came closer.
19:48The air became heavy with silence.
19:50It was as if all the sounds of the forest had stopped.
19:54As if all creation was holding its breath.
19:57The lions came next to the baby.
19:59And they stopped.
20:01They did not attack.
20:02They smelled him.
20:03They walked around him.
20:04They continued to smell him.
20:06And then, those two great wild lions lay down next to that small, helpless, abandoned baby.
20:12But gently, they would guard him.
20:15This is how the protection of Allah appeared.
20:18Not claws, but warmth.
20:20Not teeth, but softness.
20:23Not death, but life.
20:26According to narrations, Daniel, a.s. grew for a time under the protection of these lions.
20:32The female lion fed him.
20:34The male lion protected him.
20:36All the dangers of the forest stayed away because of them.
20:40No predator came close.
20:42No harm touched him.
20:45Think about it for a moment.
20:46Great prophets come with great tests.
20:49Musa, a.s. was placed in the river at birth.
20:52And Allah carried him to the palace of Firan.
20:55Ibrahim, a.s. was thrown into the fire.
20:58And Allah made the fire cool and safe for him.
21:01Yusuf, a.s. was thrown into a well.
21:04And Allah raised him from there to the throne of Egypt.
21:07And Daniel, a.s. was left in the middle of a wild forest among lions.
21:12Allah entrusted him to the mercy of the strongest predators.
21:16This was not a coincidence.
21:18This was a sign.
21:19Because later in his life, lions would appear before him again.
21:23But that time, he would be inside a pit, without chains, alone, and without protection.
21:29And those lions would recognize him again.
21:33Days passed.
21:34Weeks, months, Daniel, a.s. grew in the forest.
21:39After some time, a shepherd noticed him.
21:42He was shocked.
21:43Who was this child?
21:45Where had he come from?
21:46He secretly took him and began to raise him.
21:50In this way, Daniel, a.s. slowly returned among people.
21:54He learned about the world, and not long after, he returned to his people.
21:59But when he returned, the city he found was not the one he had been left in.
22:04Jerusalem had burned.
22:06Its people were scattered, and the great caravan of exile was about to depart.
22:11He was around 14 years old.
22:14The burden of prophethood was not yet on his shoulders,
22:17but in his heart there was something that other children did not have.
22:21It was silent, deep, and unshakable.
22:25Chains were placed on him as well.
22:27He had now become one of the captured children of Israel, and he joined the caravan.
22:32As he took his first step toward Babylon,
22:35it is not known whether he remembered that forest, those lions, those knights he had left behind.
22:41But Allah remembered.
22:43And in the future, in a much darker pit, the miracle of that forest would happen again.
22:50Babylon was an overwhelming city in every way.
22:54When you entered through its gates, the first thing that struck you was its size.
22:59Massive walls, towers rising toward the sky, idols standing in every corner.
23:05The streets were crowded, the markets were loud,
23:08and the palace was so large that a person could get lost inside it.
23:12And every morning, in the middle of all this greatness, one ritual was repeated.
23:18Submission.
23:20To live in Babylon meant to bow down to the gods of Nebuchadnezzar.
23:25This was more than an obligation.
23:27It had become like breathing, a habit.
23:30No one questioned it.
23:31No one dared.
23:32And into this city, thousands of chained children from the children of Israel were brought once again.
23:38But among them, there was a young man who was different from everyone.
23:43Daniel, alayhi salam, rejected everything placed before him.
23:47He did not drink wine.
23:49He did not touch food that went against the sharia of Musa, alayhi salam.
23:54His masters were surprised.
23:56Why don't you drink this wine?
23:58Why don't you eat this food?
24:00Daniel, alayhi salam, answered calmly,
24:03I only live on vegetables and water.
24:06To keep even a single haram bite from entering his throat,
24:10he lived on vegetables and water in the middle of that abundance.
24:14And the strange thing was this.
24:18After three years, the healthiest and strongest people in the palace were him and his companions.
24:25During this time, prophethood was granted to Daniel, alayhi salam,
24:29and he began his mission.
24:31In the streets of Babylon, in the corridors of prisons, he spoke to people,
24:36Believe in one Allah.
24:38These idols do not benefit you, nor do they harm you.
24:41Hocam belongs only to Allah.
24:44These words reached certain ears, and from those ears they were carried to the palace.
24:49The nobles of the palace ran to Nebuchadnezzar.
24:53This young man from the children of Israel is calling people to his religion.
24:57If you leave him, he will gather people and create fitna.
25:02Nebuchadnezzar did not hesitate.
25:04He gave the order, throw him into prison.
25:08Daniel, alayhi salam, was thrown into prison.
25:12With him were his three close companions, Hanania, Azariah, and Mishaya.
25:18The four of them stayed together in that dark, damp place.
25:21But the prison did not break him.
25:24On the contrary, his iman became even stronger.
25:28As days passed, the prison guard noticed something strange.
25:33There was an indescribable light on this young man's face.
25:37In his behavior, there was an unshakable dignity.
25:41In his words, a deep weight.
25:44So much so that the guard, who was supposed to be his executioner, began to admire him.
25:51This connection would play a very critical role in the coming days.
25:55And at that very time, something was happening in the palace of Babylon.
26:00Dark circles had formed under the eyes of the mighty Nebuchadnezzar.
26:04He could not sleep.
26:06Day and night, there was a heavy, dark feeling eating away at his mind.
26:11He had seen a dream, but he could not remember what he had seen.
26:14Only that overwhelming feeling remained silent, dark, suffocating.
26:20The man who ruled the world had become a prisoner of his own dream.
26:24And the solution to this captivity was waiting in that damp prison, behind iron bars.
26:32Look at the great hall of the palace.
26:35Dozens of priests, magicians, scholars, and dream interpreters were lined up.
26:40All of them were wearing their finest clothes in their most prepared state,
26:44because the king had called them.
26:47And when the king calls, not coming means death.
26:52Nebuchadnezzar was sitting on his throne.
26:54His face was tense.
26:56His eyes were tired.
26:57He had not slept for days.
26:58He had seen a dream so deep, so shaking, that when he woke up, his heart was still beating hard.
27:04But the content of the dream was like a fog in his mind.
27:08No matter how much he tried, he could not remember it.
27:12Only that heavy, suffocating feeling remained.
27:16He broke the silence of the hall himself.
27:20I saw a dream, but I forgot it.
27:23You will tell me what that dream was, and you will interpret it.
27:28The hall froze.
27:30The priests looked at each other.
27:33No ruler in the world had ever asked for something like this.
27:36How could a dream be interpreted without being known?
27:39In the past, they could lie.
27:41No one could check.
27:42But now, they had to know something that was not even remembered.
27:46This was impossible.
27:48One of them stepped forward and spoke with a trembling voice.
27:52O king, if you tell us your dream, we can interpret it.
27:56But we cannot know a dream you do not remember.
27:59There is no such thing in the knowledge of magic.
28:03Nebuchadnezzar's eyes narrowed.
28:05His voice was cold.
28:07Either you tell me my dream and interpret it, or you go to the gallows.
28:13Panic spread through the hall.
28:15The priests began whispering.
28:17They looked at each other in desperation.
28:20None of them had an answer, because this was truly impossible.
28:24This demand was far beyond the limits of wisdom, magic, or knowledge.
28:30Nebuchadnezzar waited.
28:31No answer came.
28:33He ordered the first priest to be executed.
28:35Then another, then another.
28:37It did not stop.
28:38With every passing hour, the air of the palace became heavier.
28:43This terrible news quickly spread to every corner of the city.
28:47Traders in the market heard it.
28:49Children in the streets heard it.
28:51And that news also slipped into the cold iron bars of the prison.
28:56The moment Daniel, a.s. heard it, he turned to the prison guard.
29:01There was no fear on his face, no panic.
29:03His voice was completely calm.
29:05I have a request.
29:07Send a message to the king.
29:09I can tell his dream and interpret it.
29:12The guard hesitated at first.
29:14This was a dangerous offer.
29:16If the king was disappointed, not only that young man, but everyone connected to him, could be in danger.
29:23But when he saw that unshakable calm in the young man's eyes, something changed inside him.
29:29The message went from the guard to the palace, and from there to the vizier.
29:34When the vizier told Nebuchadnezzar, he was surprised.
29:38A prisoner?
29:39A young man from the children of Israel?
29:42Would a captive do what the priests could not?
29:45He found it suspicious.
29:46But he had no other option.
29:48He gave the order.
29:49Bring him.
29:51The massive doors of the palace opened for Daniel, alayhi salam.
29:56Behind him was the darkness of the prison.
29:58In front of him was one of the greatest tests in history.
30:02When you stepped into that massive hall of the palace, the first feeling was smallness.
30:08The ceilings stretched toward the sky.
30:11The columns were many times taller than a man.
30:14The walls were covered with decorated gold.
30:17And at the end of that long hall, sitting on his throne, was the man who could control the lives
30:23of thousands, burn and destroy cities, and shake the whole world.
30:28Nebuchadnezzar.
30:30In this palace, thousands of people bowed to him every day.
30:34It had become more than a rule.
30:36It was like breathing, a habit.
30:39No one questioned it.
30:40No one dared.
30:41Daniel, alayhi salam, entered.
30:44All eyes were on him, filled with curiosity and fear.
30:48The most powerful men of the palace became tense.
30:51Hands moved toward swords.
30:53And Daniel, alayhi salam, stopped.
30:55He did not bow.
30:56A murmur rose in the great hall.
30:59Whispers mixed together.
31:01Soldiers stepped forward.
31:02The king frowned.
31:03And his voice echoed against the stone walls.
31:07Why do you not bow?
31:09At that moment, everyone held their breath.
31:12Because a wrong answer meant death.
31:16Daniel, alayhi salam, stood firm.
31:18He raised his eyes and said words that would be remembered.
31:21I have a Lord who gave me knowledge and wisdom.
31:24He commanded me not to bow to anyone but him.
31:27If I bow to anyone else, I fear that he will take away the knowledge he gave me and destroy
31:33me.
31:34A deep, cold silence fell over the palace.
31:38Nebuchadnezzar had seen many people in his life.
31:40Warriors, commanders, priests, rulers.
31:43But he had never seen what was in this young man.
31:46This was not pride.
31:47It was not a challenge.
31:48It was pure, clear, unbreakable iman.
31:53The king paused for a moment, then asked the real question.
31:57Can you interpret my dream?
31:59Daniel, alayhi salam, began by mentioning Allah in the middle of thousands of idol worshippers.
32:05All praise belongs to Allah, who created the heavens and the earth, who holds all wisdom and power, who gives
32:12knowledge to the learned, and who knows even the most hidden things.
32:16I can only do this by his will.
32:21Nebuchadnezzar grew impatient.
32:23Get to the point, he said.
32:25Daniel, alayhi salam, raised his head and spoke calmly.
32:29In your dream, you saw a great statue.
32:32Its head was made of gold.
32:34Its chest and arms were silver.
32:36Its belly was bronze, and its legs were iron.
32:40Its feet were a mixture of iron and clay.
32:44The king froze.
32:46Even he could not remember it.
32:48How did this captive know?
32:50Daniel, alayhi salam, continued.
32:52While you were looking at it with amazement, a stone came down from the sky.
32:58A stone not made by human hands.
33:01It struck the statue and broke it into pieces.
33:04Then that stone grew and covered the whole earth.
33:08Nebuchadnezzar stood up.
33:09The dream was becoming clear in his mind like a flash of lightning.
33:13True, he said, his voice trembling.
33:16Exactly like this.
33:18So what does it mean?
33:19Daniel, alayhi salam, began to explain.
33:23You were shown the order of the great kingdoms in history.
33:27The head of gold represents your kingdom.
33:29You are the strongest among them.
33:31After you, a kingdom like silver will come, lower than yours.
33:35Then another like bronze, even lower.
33:38Then a kingdom like iron, strong but harsh.
33:42And finally, a time like iron mixed with clay, weak and divided.
33:48But the real message is this.
33:50That stone coming from the sky represents the final prophet that Allah will send in the last times,
33:57and the final book that will come with him.
33:59His religion will fill the earth, destroy all false powers.
34:03And this rule will never be broken until the day of judgment.
34:08The palace once again fell into a deep silence.
34:13Nebuchadnezzar looked at the young man for a long time.
34:16Then something rare happened in history.
34:18This proud man bent in front of everyone, in front of thousands of soldiers.
34:23He made a gesture of respect, a bow of honor, and said,
34:27Whoever revealed this dream to you, he alone knows everything.
34:31I do not know, and these priests do not know.
34:35You have a great lord.
34:37He did not believe.
34:39But in that moment, a crack formed in that stone-like heart.
34:43The doors of the prison were opened wide.
34:46Daniel, a.s. was free, and not just an ordinary freedom,
34:50Nebuchadnezzar brought him into his closest circle, his most trusted group.
34:54He became the greatest advisor in the palace, but this peace would not last long.
35:00Peace did not last long in Babylon.
35:03As Daniel, a.s. gained respect in the palace, the discomfort around him also grew.
35:10The nobles of the palace began to whisper.
35:12They gathered in corners and said,
35:14This man does not bow to our idols.
35:18He worships as he wishes.
35:20The people see him.
35:21They start asking questions.
35:23This cannot continue.
35:25They went to Nebuchadnezzar.
35:28Their words were calculated.
35:29You praised his lord.
35:31But do you know what the people think?
35:33The religion of our ancestors is being questioned.
35:36As long as you allow this man, people will begin to doubt our gods.
35:41At first, Nebuchadnezzar resisted.
35:45What he had seen was not something ordinary, but the pressure increased day by day.
35:50Finally, a plan was presented.
35:53Build a great idol.
36:04Nebuchadnezzar, Nebuchadnezzar, Nebuchadnezzar, Nebuchadnezzar, Nebuchadnezzar liked the idea.
36:25In the middle of that crowd, four people stood firm like strong trees.
36:30Daniel and his companions.
36:33The palace officials ran to Nebuchadnezzar.
36:35Do you see?
36:37They still do not bow.
36:40This time, the king was much harsher.
36:43He called Daniel and his companions to his presence.
36:47His face was dark, his voice cold.
36:50If you bow, you will live in peace.
36:53If you refuse, you will be thrown into a pit filled with burning fire.
36:58Daniel, a.s., answered with his usual calm.
37:01We will never bow.
37:03We do not fear these threats at all.
37:05Allah, the only ruler of the heavens and the earth, is able to save us from anything.
37:10The order was given.
37:12A huge pit was dug in the city square.
37:14It was filled with blazing fire.
37:17The flames grew so intense that even the soldiers could not come close.
37:22Daniel, a.s., and his companions, with their hands tied, were thrown into the pit from a distance.
37:28Nebuchadnezzar and the nobles waited.
37:31They wanted to hear those terrible screams, but there was only deep silence.
37:37The king could not resist his curiosity.
37:39He went as close as the heat allowed, bent down, and looked into the flames.
37:44At that moment, he froze, because no one was burning.
37:49Daniel, a.s., and his companions were in the middle of those flames, sitting calmly, as if they were in
37:56a peaceful garden, worshipping.
37:58Their hands were untied.
38:01There was no scream, no pain.
38:03And with them was someone else, someone the king had never seen before.
38:08A fourth person.
38:10Nebuchadnezzar asked with a trembling voice,
38:12Who is that one with you?
38:15Daniel, a.s., answered with dignity from within the fire,
38:18He is an angel sent by Allah.
38:21At that moment, something broke inside Nebuchadnezzar.
38:24It was no longer possible for him to deny the greatness of Allah.
38:28He shouted,
38:31When they came out of the fire, the people could not believe their eyes.
38:37Not a single hair on their heads was burned.
38:40There was not even the smell of smoke on them.
38:43Nebuchadnezzar granted them complete freedom of worship,
38:46but even this time of peace would not last long.
38:50In the dark corners of the palace, the forces of evil gathered again,
38:55this time far more determined.
38:58The fire did not work, they said among themselves.
39:01But hungry lions are different.
39:04No magic can stand against hungry lions.
39:07Babylon was the center of magic in that time.
39:10This idea made sense to Nebuchadnezzar.
39:13A new decree was announced.
39:15Whoever refuses to bow to the idols will be thrown among lions,
39:19driven mad by hunger.
39:21This time, Daniel, a.s., would be thrown in alone.
39:25Those lions had been deliberately left hungry for days.
39:30Their anger and hunger were pushed to the highest level.
39:33A massive pit was prepared in the center of the city.
39:37Thousands of people gathered.
39:39Daniel, a.s., was brought to the edge of the pit.
39:41He looked down into that deep darkness.
39:44From below came a terrifying wild growl that could freeze the blood.
39:49His hands were tied tightly,
39:50and he was thrown into that dark emptiness.
39:54The cover was closed with a loud crash.
39:56Those waiting outside pressed their ears against it.
39:59They expected the sound of tearing, screams, cries.
40:03But the pit was silent.
40:05Only a deep, heavy silence.
40:07One day passed.
40:09Two days.
40:10Three.
40:10Four.
40:11For five full days, that cover was not opened even once.
40:15People in the palace whispered,
40:16By now, even his bones must have been crushed.
40:20But inside that dark pit,
40:22there was a completely different, light-filled world.
40:26The moment Daniel, a.s., feet touched the ground,
40:29he turned to his Lord.
40:31With deep humility, he stood in prayer.
40:34And at that moment, something incredible happened.
40:38Something that could only occur by the permission of Allah.
40:41Those wild lions, mad with hunger for days,
40:45saw the Prophet of Allah in front of them.
40:48And suddenly, they became calm.
40:51Not only did they not attack,
40:53they slowly approached him,
40:55as if afraid to harm him.
40:57They smelled him.
40:58They circled around him with respect.
41:01And like meeting a friend they had known and loved for years,
41:04they came and rubbed against him.
41:07Five long days.
41:08Outside, everyone thought he was dead.
41:11But inside the pit,
41:12under the protection of Allah,
41:14a calm and faithful servant was worshipping.
41:18Daniel, a.s., became hungry.
41:21At that moment,
41:22far away in the lands of Jerusalem,
41:25revelation came to Ermiah, a.s.
41:28Allah commanded him,
41:30Prepare food for Daniel and take it to him.
41:33By the power of Allah,
41:35Ermiah, a.s. crossed great distances in moments
41:38and reached the top of that pit.
41:39He called down,
41:41Who is there?
41:43Daniel, a.s. looked up.
41:44It is me, Daniel.
41:47Ermiah, a.s. introduced himself.
41:50Do not be afraid, O Daniel.
41:52Your Lord has sent me to you.
41:54At that moment,
41:56Daniel, a.s. whole body trembled.
41:58From emotion and submission,
42:01his voice became weak.
42:02With difficulty, he asked,
42:04My Lord, the Lord of all worlds,
42:07did he really mention my name?
42:10Ermiah's answer was clear.
42:12Yes, he mentioned your name directly
42:15and entrusted this food to me for you.
42:18That single sentence gave us strength
42:21that could carry the weight of worlds.
42:23It meant that Allah had known everything
42:25from the beginning,
42:26the narrow and dark pit,
42:28the lions waiting in hunger for days,
42:31the five days of loneliness.
42:34He had not left him alone in that deep darkness.
42:37He had mentioned his name directly.
42:39At that moment,
42:40tears flowed from the eyes of Daniel, a.s.
42:44From his lips came words of gratitude
42:46that would be remembered.
42:48All praise belongs to Allah,
42:51who never forgets his servant.
42:53All praise belongs to Allah,
42:55who answers immediately the servant
42:57who places all his hope in him.
42:59All praise belongs to Allah,
43:01who never leaves the one
43:03who seeks refuge in him to anyone else.
43:05All praise belongs to Allah,
43:08who always grants relief after patience.
43:11Ermiah, a.s. came down.
43:13In that deep, dark pit next to the lions,
43:17the two prophets ate together.
43:19At the end of the fifth day,
43:21the heavy cover was opened with a loud sound.
43:25Nebuchadnezzar, the palace nobles,
43:27and the people gathered around the pit.
43:29With fear and curiosity, they looked inside.
43:33What they saw was beyond belief.
43:35The wild lions, expected to be mad with hunger for days,
43:40were lying calmly like gentle cats at the side.
43:43And Daniel, as if he had not been in that pit for five days,
43:47but in a garden of paradise,
43:49was busy with his worship, free from all worry.
43:53Nebuchadnezzar turned to the palace nobles in anger
43:55and shouted so that it echoed on the walls of Babylon,
43:59Look, his Lord never leaves him alone.
44:04According to narrations,
44:06Nebuchadnezzar bowed down that day with great amazement.
44:09He did not fully believe,
44:11but he bent before the greatness of Allah,
44:14and from that day on,
44:15he never harmed Daniel, a.s. again.
44:18He warned the idle, worshipping nobles around him,
44:22Do not bring me face to face with the lord of this man again.
44:26The lions could not harm him.
44:28The burning flames had not touched even a single hair of his head.
44:33And now, in the dusty streets of Babylon,
44:36the name of Daniel, a.s. was spoken only with deep respect.
44:41After the second miracle, according to narrations,
44:44Daniel, a.s. left Babylon and went to Tarsus.
44:48At that time, Tarsus was going through very difficult days.
44:52There was drought.
44:53There was famine.
44:54People were helpless.
44:56According to sources, with his due way, rain began to fall.
45:00The land became fertile,
45:02and the famine in the city started to end.
45:04This event completely changed how people saw him.
45:08He was no longer a stranger.
45:10He was hope.
45:11People gathered around him.
45:13They listened to his words.
45:15They loved him.
45:17They trusted him.
45:19There is a very important detail here.
45:21The strength of Daniel, a.s. was not an army,
45:25not a weapon, not a position.
45:27His strength was knowledge and iman.
45:30And this strength can sometimes be more powerful than the army of a king.
45:34Daniel, a.s. remained in Tarsus until the end of his life.
45:39He called people to the truth.
45:41He made dua.
45:43His blessing spread across the city.
45:45But now he had become very old.
45:48That strong body carried the weight of many years.
45:51According to narrations, he reached the age of ninety-six.
45:55It is said that he smiled at the moment of his death.
45:59Because death was not an end for him.
46:01It was the time to meet his Lord.
46:04For many years in the fire, among lions, in the depths of prisons, he had felt the presence of Allah.
46:10Now that closeness would be complete, with all veils removed, he gave his soul.
46:16But the story was not over yet, because there was still someone alive, Nebuchadnezzar.
46:22He had seen the miracles of the fire and the pit.
46:26Something inside him had broken.
46:28But his surroundings kept him away from iman.
46:31Just as Haman kept Firon away from belief, the idol-worshipping nobles of the palace kept Nebuchadnezzar away.
46:39After every miracle, they came to him.
46:42Each time, they planted new doubts.
46:45It is magic.
46:46It is trickery.
46:47You are being deceived.
46:50And Nebuchadnezzar chose to believe what was whispered into his ears, not what he saw with his own eyes.
46:56This choice slowly destroyed him from within.
47:00In narrations, a striking event is told about his end.
47:05Over time, his arrogance reached its peak.
47:08He came to a point where he saw himself above even a god.
47:11And Allah made him pay for this arrogance through one of the smallest creatures in history.
47:16Just as Nimrod was destroyed, Nebuchadnezzar was also destroyed by a mosquito.
47:23The man who ruled the world was brought down by a creature too small to be seen properly by the
47:29eye.
47:29That mosquito entered his head and affected his brain.
47:33For days, for weeks, it consumed him from within.
47:37And that powerful body did not fall on a battlefield, but slowly faded away in a bed in silence.
47:46The justice of Allah may be delayed, but it never fails to come.
47:51After Nebuchadnezzar, the throne of Babylon changed hands.
47:55His sons and grandsons tried to continue the rule, but the old Babylon was gone.
48:00Over time, the Persian king Cyrus destroyed the Babylonian state.
48:0640,000 Jews were set free.
48:08The exile ended.
48:10Now, we come to one of the most interesting mysteries of this story.
48:14Some stories do not end with death.
48:17In fact, the real mystery begins after death.
48:22One of the most striking parts of the story of Daniel, aleyhis salaam, appeared centuries after his death.
48:28A long time had passed.
48:31Empires had changed.
48:33Cities had been destroyed.
48:35New civilizations had been built.
48:37But in one place, there was a secret hidden deep in the ground.
48:42According to narrations, this secret was revealed during the time of Umar ibn al-Khatab.
48:47When the Islamic armies reached the region of Tarsus, they noticed something unusual.
48:52People in that area were going out to make du'ah for rain.
48:56But this was not an ordinary du'ah.
48:58They were going to a grave and making du'ah there.
49:01And then, rain would fall.
49:04This situation drew the attention of the Muslims, because this was not something normal.
49:09The matter was reported to Umar ibn al-Khatab.
49:13He ordered that it should be investigated.
49:15According to narrations, the one who took on this task was Ali ibn Abi Talib.
49:22An excavation was made.
49:24The coffin was opened.
49:26And inside, there was a body that had not decayed.
49:30This was not an ordinary grave.
49:34According to sources, the body looked as if it had just been buried.
49:37Time had not harmed it.
49:39This caused great amazement at that time.
49:42But the most striking detail was the ring on his finger.
49:46On that ring, there were figures of two lions.
49:49And this detail revealed his identity, because it matched perfectly with the narrations that had been told.
49:57Ali ibn Abi Talib said that this body belonged to Daniel, a.s.
50:01But an important decision was made, because people had started to treat this grave as something sacred.
50:09They were turning it into a means.
50:11For this reason, the location of the grave was hidden.
50:15According to narrations, to protect it, the grave was buried deeper.
50:19In some reports, it is even said that water was passed over it so that its location would be completely
50:25lost.
50:26And in this way, the grave of Daniel, a.s. disappeared once again.
50:33Centuries passed.
50:34People began to forget this story.
50:36The location of the grave turned into a legend until the year 2006.
50:41In Tarsus, a simple construction work began in the courtyard of a mosque.
50:47But this was not an ordinary excavation.
50:50Arches appeared from beneath the ground.
50:52Ancient structures came to light.
50:55And as the excavation went deeper, something became clear.
50:59This was not an ordinary place.
51:02This was a historical site.
51:04The digging continued.
51:06They went down nearly 10 meters, and there a structure was found.
51:10This discovery changed everything in the area.
51:13Because people started asking, could this really be the grave of Daniel, a.s.
51:18In detailed accounts of this event, it is said that the excavation began as a simple work in the mosque
51:25courtyard,
51:26and then turned into an archaeological discovery.
51:29This made the situation very interesting.
51:32Because a grave that had been hidden for centuries had appeared in a completely unexpected way.
51:38But this story is not finished yet.
51:41Because Daniel, a.s. was not only a prophet who lived in the past.
51:46His words reached until today.
51:48And now, we come to the most debated part of this story.
51:53Because Daniel, a.s. did not only speak about his own time, like other prophets,
51:58he also spoke about Muhammad, sallallahu alayhi wa sallam.
52:02Today, among the sacred texts of Christians and Jews, there is a section known as the Book of Daniel.
52:09This book contains dreams, visions, and prophecies attributed to Daniel, a.s.
52:16Many scholars of theology accept that this text has undergone alteration.
52:20It is widely accepted, both in Islamic thought and in some Western academic circles,
52:26that the current forms of the Torah and the Gospel have moved away from their original revelation.
52:33But even within alteration, traces of truth can sometimes remain.
52:37And one of the most striking traces in the Book of Daniel is this.
52:41Despite alteration, there are passages that are interpreted as pointing to the coming of Muhammad, sallallahu alayhi wa sallam.
52:50In the second chapter of the Book of Daniel, the dream of Nebuchadnezzar is described.
52:56The statue with the head of gold, chest of silver, belly of bronze, legs of iron, and finally a stone
53:04coming from the sky.
53:06That stone destroys the statue and grows until it fills the earth.
53:11The Book of Daniel explains this stone as,
53:14The God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed.
53:18It will crush all those kingdoms and bring them to an end, but it will itself endure forever.
53:24When this prophecy is compared with history, a striking picture appears.
53:29The head of gold represents Babylon.
53:32The silver chest represents the Meadow Persian Empire.
53:36The bronze belly represents Macedonia, the empire of Alexander the Great.
53:41The iron legs represent Rome.
53:43And the fifth kingdom.
53:45When we look at the flow of history, there is one power that overturned these empires, spread across their lands,
53:53and has never completely disappeared.
53:56Islam.
53:56Researchers who study Islamic interpretations of the Book of Daniel often reach this conclusion.
54:04The rise of Islam in the 7th century led to the fall of the Sasanian Persian Empire and weakened the
54:10Eastern Roman Empire.
54:12Muslims conquered lands of these ancient powers multiple times, including Constantinople, and Islam remains a living and growing religion today.
54:22The stone that destroys the statue is interpreted as Islam, the force that broke the system of idols and established
54:31the rule of one Allah.
54:33This connection is considered strong enough that even some Western scholars have discussed it.
54:40For example, Joel Richardson has argued that fitting Daniel's prophecies entirely into a purely Christian framework raises historical challenges when
54:50compared with the expansion of Islam.
54:53This shows that what was given to Daniel was not only the interpretation of a dream.
54:59He was given a greater secret, the news of the final prophet, and that message remained hidden for centuries, waiting
55:07to be discovered within the pages of the Book of Daniel.
55:10It is also stated that the expression Ish Hamudot, a very beloved or desired man, mentioned in the Book of
55:18Daniel, shares a similar meaning root with the Arabic name Muhammad, sallallahu alayhi wa sallam.
55:25In Hebrew, the word Hamudot comes from a root that carries meanings like beloved, desired, or praised.
55:34Likewise, the Arabic name Muhammad comes from the root HMD, which means to praise, to be praised, or worthy of
55:46praise.
55:49And now we come to one of the most striking mysteries.
55:52The movie The Matrix, released in 1999, was not just a simple science fiction film.
55:59The directors, the Wachowskis, drew from very deep sources while creating it.
56:05Jewish and Christian scriptures, Gnostic philosophy, Kabbalah teachings, all of these were woven into the layers of the film.
56:13On the surface, you see action, but if you look deeper, you begin to notice that thousands of years of
56:20religious and philosophical symbols are brought together, and one of the most striking symbols stands right at the center.
56:28In the film, Morpheus commands a ship fighting for the survival of humanity.
56:33That ship moves outside the system, through the dark tunnels of the real world.
56:39The hope of humanity is inside that ship, the name of that ship, Nebuchadnezzar.
56:44The same Nebuchadnezzar, the king who destroyed Jerusalem, ruined the temple of Suleiman alayhisselam, and took the children of Israel
56:53into captivity.
56:54One of the most feared names in history was given to a ship in this film, and that ship is
56:59destroyed at the end of the film.
57:02Coincidence?
57:03Why did the Wachowskis choose this name?
57:06Why Nebuchadnezzar and not something else?
57:09The film never directly explains it, but the choice is clearly intentional, because the film is full of deliberate symbolism
57:17from beginning to end.
57:19The main character is Neo, but his name is also an anagram.
57:24When rearranged, it becomes one, the chosen one.
57:27In Jewish and Christian traditions, this concept is very familiar, the awaited savior, the Messiah.
57:35Neo's story follows this pattern.
57:38He lives an ordinary life.
57:39Then he is chosen.
57:41A great mission is placed on him.
57:43He dies and is reborn.
57:45He defeats the enemy.
57:47He saves humanity.
57:49This narrative reflects the life story of Jesus in a cinematic form.
57:55Christian symbolism is built into the structure of the film.
57:58In the movie, the last human city is called Zion.
58:03Zion is also a sacred name for Jerusalem in Judaism.
58:07It represents freedom and salvation for the children of Israel.
58:11The creators gave this name to the last hope of humanity.
58:15This is not random.
58:16It reflects a deep cultural memory.
58:19In the second film, Neo meets the creator of the Matrix.
58:24That entity is called the Architect.
58:27This concept is closely related to ideas found in Gnostic thought and Kabbalah.
58:32In Gnosticism, the material world is created by an imperfect being called the Demiurge,
58:38while the true spiritual world exists beyond it.
58:41In the Matrix, this same idea appears clearly.
58:44On one side, there is the artificial, deceptive world created by machines.
58:50On the other side, there is the real, raw, harsh, but true world.
58:56This dual structure reflects Gnostic and mystical traditions.
59:00So, on the surface, the Matrix is a science fiction film.
59:04But when you go deeper, you find a modern expression of Jewish mysticism,
59:10Christian symbolism, Gnostic philosophy,
59:12and ancient religious narratives.
59:15And at the center of all this,
59:17the ship chosen as the hope of humanity carries the name Nebuchadnezzar.
59:23That ship is destroyed.
59:25Some people interpret this as carrying a symbolic or emotional meaning,
59:30even suggesting ideas like reversal or judgment.
59:33But how this is understood is open to interpretation.
