00:00One moment comes and everything changes.
00:02You look around and maybe for the first time you realize there is nowhere left to go.
00:10No door left to knock on.
00:12No plan left to make.
00:14No strength left to hold on.
00:16And in that moment, only one thing remains.
00:20One single door.
00:25And this time you turn to it with understanding.
00:27With something deeper, with something more real.
00:31A sentence rises from inside you.
00:34Yarab, I fall to your decree.
00:37I have no true friend except you.
00:40And in that moment, you do not end like you think.
00:44For the first time you begin.
00:47This video might be one of the most important videos you have ever watched about Dua.
00:52Because everyone makes Dua.
00:54But very few people truly understand how Dua works.
00:58In this video, we will open the deepest truth about Dua, step by step.
01:04You are watching Religious Story TV.
01:07We continue our Islamic lesson series.

01:16And share your favorite Dua's in the comments, so everyone can learn.
01:21If you are ready, let's begin.
01:27We think we are making Dua, but most of the time we are not.
01:30Look at the Dua's you make in your daily life.
01:33Oh Allah, give me this car.
01:36Oh Allah, give me this job.
01:38Oh Allah, give me this, give me that.
01:42Does it sound familiar?
01:44This is not really a Dua.
01:46This is a wish list.
01:47It is like going into a shop and placing an order.
01:51Most of the time, instead of turning to Allah,
01:54a person speaks like they are talking to a shop worker, just saying,
01:58give, but Dua is not only asking, Dua is a connection.
02:05Dua is a conversation with Allah.
02:07And Dua is knowing who you are speaking to.
02:11If this is missing, then what you do becomes only repeating words.
02:15You feel nothing, only your lips move.
02:18Dua comes from Iman.
02:20The stronger the Iman, the stronger the Dua.
02:23When Iman becomes weak, Dua also becomes weak.
02:26Wanting to make Dua, but not being able to,
02:29this is a sign of weakness in your Iman.
02:32But also know this.
02:34This does not trap you.
02:35It is calling you to something.
02:38Now ask yourself this question.
02:40How many things do you trust today?
02:42Do you have a salary?
02:43You trust it.
02:45Are you healthy?
02:46You trust it.
02:47Do you have many friends who can help you?
02:50You trust them.
02:51Is your mind sharp?
02:53You trust it.
02:54Then what is left to ask from Allah?
02:57If you trust these first, what have you left for Allah?
03:01If the apple comes from the tree, healing comes from the doctor, peace comes from money,
03:07and money comes from the job, the boss, the customer,
03:10then what is left to ask from Allah?
03:12Nothing is left.
03:14And in reality, you are saying,
03:16Ya Rabb, just give me what I do not already have.
03:19The things I have, I already gained them myself.
03:23You just complete what is missing.
03:26Look at the Sahaba, the messenger, sallallahu alayhi wasallam,
03:31and his companions were making dua at every moment of their lives.
03:36Dua when sleeping, dua when waking up, dua when going on a journey,
03:42dua while eating, even dua when entering the toilet.
03:46Why?
03:46Because they knew that both what exists and what does not exist comes from Allah.
03:52There is water from Allah.
03:54There is bread from Allah.
03:57There is breath from Allah.
04:00Everything is from him.
04:02So for everything, dua is made to him.
04:05But what do we do?
04:06We think what we have comes from ourselves.
04:09And for what we do not have, we say,
04:12Allahim, give me this too.
04:14This difference completely changes the spirit of dua.
04:18The messenger, sallallahu alayhi wasallam, said,
04:21Dua is the essence of worship.
04:24Tirmidhi Dawat 1
04:25The essence of worship.
04:27There is dua inside salah.
04:30There is dua inside fasting.
04:32There is dua inside sacrifice.
04:34If you dig under all acts of worship, you will find dua.
04:39So what is real dua?
04:41Real dua is a meeting, standing in front of Allah, knowing him, being with him.
04:48And for this meeting to happen, you must first understand a secret,
04:52the secret of the strongest power in the universe.
04:56And this secret is the formula for dua not being rejected.
05:00Now imagine a scene.
05:02There is a chicken in a garden.
05:05What comes to your mind when you think of a chicken?
05:08Fear.
05:09We say, you are like a chicken when someone is scared.
05:13Because a chicken is afraid, it runs away quickly.
05:16Now bring a cobra near that chicken.
05:18What does the chicken do?
05:20Does it run?
05:21No.
05:21It attacks.
05:23But why?
05:24Because there is a small chick there, weak, helpless.
05:29And that chick turns the chicken into a lion.
05:32Another scene.
05:33There is a lion in the forest, the strongest of beasts.
05:37It is hungry and has caught its prey.
05:40It is about to eat.
05:41No one can take that meat from its mouth.
05:44But its cub can.
05:46The cub comes close to that powerful lion.
05:49The lion may stay hungry if needed.
05:52It gives the meat in its mouth to its cub.
05:55How?
05:56With what power?
05:57With what weapon?
05:58With its weakness?
05:59Now think of a house.
06:01Inside there is a father and a mother.
06:04There are older siblings.
06:06But who is the ruler of the house?
06:07A three-month-old baby.
06:10At two in the night it makes a small sound.
06:13Everyone jumps up.
06:14The father runs.
06:15The mother runs.
06:17Big adults run to the command of that tiny sound.
06:20What did the baby do?
06:21Nothing.
06:22It only showed its weakness.
06:24So what is the common secret in these three scenes?
06:28Risale-i-Nur answers like this.
06:30A human in this universe is like a delicate and gentle child.
06:34In his weakness there is a great strength.
06:37And in his helplessness there is a great power.
06:41In weakness there is a great strength.
06:43In helplessness there is a great power.
06:46But how can this be possible?
06:48Think like this.
06:49That power is not from you.
06:52Your helplessness calls a power greater than you and makes it act.
06:57And the formula is this.
06:59The more you know your helplessness the more Allah helps you with his power.
07:04But here there is a very important detail.
07:08Helplessness cannot be acted.
07:10It cannot be forced.
07:12It is a natural state.
07:14If you add a second intention to a natural state it becomes broken.
07:19Think about sleep.
07:20If someone says sleep now you cannot sleep.
07:25You cannot force yourself to laugh.
07:27It becomes fake.
07:28In the same way helplessness is a natural state.
07:32A person cannot become helpless by will.
07:35It must come from inside.
07:38Think about Yunus alayhi salam.
07:40He was in the belly of the fish.
07:42In three darknesses.
07:44The darkness of the sea.
07:46The darkness of the night.
07:48And the darkness inside the fish.
07:50No cause was left.
07:52No door was open.
07:53And at that moment this dua came out.
07:56La ilaha illa anta subhanaka inni kuntu minas zalimeen.
08:02Risale-i Nur says.
08:04You are in a state a thousand times worse than Yunus alayhi salam.
08:09Because Yunus was in the belly of the fish.
08:12If the fish crushed him he would lose his worldly life.
08:15But you are inside the fish of your nafs.
08:19It will make you lose your akhira.
08:21In reality we are more helpless than a prophet.
08:25But we are not aware of it.
08:27Because we are not aware we cannot feel our dua.
08:30Because we are not aware we cannot attract the help of Allah.
08:34When we understand our helplessness.
08:37We begin to live our servanthood.
08:39We get closer to Allah.
08:42Our duas gain meaning.
08:44And to make us realize this.
08:46Tests and difficulties come to our door.
08:48According to our level with Allah.
08:51The prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam said.
08:54The people who are tested the most are the prophets.
08:57Then those who are most like them.
08:59Then others.
09:00Tirmidhi Zod 57.
09:03The one who is pressed the most is loved the most.
09:06The one who is made most helpless is raised the most.
09:09There is no door that helplessness cannot open.
09:13And there is no doer made in helplessness that is not accepted.
09:17No doer.
09:18There is no such thing as a doer made in true helplessness being rejected.
09:23But now comes a very important question.
09:27I understood my helplessness.
09:29I make dua from my helplessness.
09:32But which door am I knocking on?
09:34Because when we feel helpless, we usually run to the wrong doors.
09:38To this person.
09:39To that position.
09:41To that money.
09:42And Allah does not like this.
09:45When Allah sees his servant at other doors, he closes that door on him.
09:51Do not waste time at false doors.
09:54Find the real door.
09:56So understanding helplessness is not enough.
09:59You must also know whose door to knock on.
10:02And to go to that door, you must first recognize the idols inside your heart.
10:07What can be the idols in your heart?
10:10Ask yourself one question.
10:12If you lose something right now, what would hurt you the most?
10:16Money?
10:16Position?
10:17That person?
10:19Health?
10:19Reputation?
10:20Keep your answer inside, because that answer tells the name of the idol in your heart.
10:26When you hear idol, what comes to your mind?
10:29Stone?
10:30Statue?
10:31The idols of the past like lat, uzza, minat?
10:35We do not bow to them.
10:37We are Muslims.
10:38We say we have no idols.
10:40But Allah azze v'chele does not create idols.
10:44A person loves something too much and turns it into an idol.
10:47So what is an idol?
10:50Anything that comes between Allah azze v'chele and the heart of the servant is an idol.
10:56Money can be an idol.
10:58Position can be an idol.
11:00A love person can be an idol.
11:02Health can be an idol.
11:04Sometimes you hear people talk about something like football.
11:07And the words they use are words that should only be said for Allah.
11:11This shows that a person can turn anything into an idol.
11:16So how do you know if something is an idol?
11:18The formula is simple.
11:20If you lose something and it destroys you inside, then congratulations.
11:25That is your idol.
11:27You lost money.
11:29Did your heart collapse?
11:31Idle.
11:32You lost your position.
11:34Did you lose yourself?
11:35Idle.
11:36Someone left you.
11:38Could you not stand anymore?
11:40Idle.
11:41Pay attention.
11:42It is not just feeling sad.
11:44It is losing yourself.
11:46Because if when that thing leaves, you also lose Allah, then that thing has become an idol in your heart.
11:53Look at your heart.
11:54It is like a trash place.
11:55Everything that Allah said not to put in your heart, we have placed inside.
12:00Think of a small mirror.
12:01It is covered with dust.
12:04Mud is on it.
12:05It is scratched.
12:06What does that mirror reflect?
12:08Nothing clearly.
12:09The heart is the same.
12:11If it is full of jealousy, pride, greed, and backbiting becomes a habit.
12:16That heart cannot find Allah anymore.
12:18And here comes the most basic rule of servanthood.
12:22A place is not decorated before it is cleaned.
12:26Before decorating the heart, it must be cleaned.
12:29Think about this.
12:30The first command of Islam was not believe.
12:34The first command was la ilaha.
12:36Remove, clean, empty.
12:39Then came illallah.
12:41Only Allah.
12:42First cleaning, then filling.
12:45The messenger sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said,
12:48Be careful.
12:49There is a piece of flesh in the body.
12:51If it is good, the whole body is good.
12:53If it is corrupted, the whole body is corrupted.
12:56Be careful.
12:57It is the heart.
12:58Bukhari Iman 39
13:00Now let's come to the biggest trap of the modern age.
13:03This age is the age where idols and idol worship are the most.
13:07Why?
13:08Because idols are no longer stone.
13:10Idols are now screens.
13:12Idols are now accounts.
13:14Idols are now titles.
13:15Idols are now the number of likes.
13:18And these are more dangerous than stone idols.
13:20Why?
13:21Because they are not visible.
13:23When you see a stone idol, you understand and stay away.
13:27But when you look at the idol in your heart, what do you see?
13:31My goal.
13:32My dream.
13:34The invisible idol is the most dangerous idol.
13:37The idols in our heart lead us to hidden shirk, meaning the heart becomes divided with other
13:43things.
13:44Then when you try to make dua, you look inside your heart.
13:48And you cannot find Allah there.
13:50You cannot find Allah there.
13:53Repeat this sentence.
13:55You want to make dua.
13:56You raise your hands, but inside there is no voice.
14:00It feels like you are speaking into emptiness.
14:02Why?
14:03Because the heart is full.
14:04There is no space left for Allah.
14:07Now come to a very important truth.
14:09What does Allah do when he sees his servant at other doors?
14:14He closes that door.
14:15Why?
14:16As a punishment?
14:17No.
14:19Do not waste time at false doors.
14:22Find the real door.
14:23So you want a job, but it does not happen.
14:26You want a relationship, but it does not happen.
14:29You expect money, but it does not come.
14:31This is not Allah rejecting you.
14:33This is Allah guiding you to the right door.
14:36In the next part, the formula opens.
14:39Kalen, Halen, Tavran.
14:41And the name of all three together is Izdirar Dua.
14:46A dua made in deep distress.
14:48When a person feels their helplessness completely
14:51and calls to their rab not only with lips, but with the heart.
14:55Think of a scene.
14:57Someone enters through the door.
14:59He has very nice clothes, expensive glasses.
15:02He stands confidently and says,
15:04Give me charity.
15:05What do you do?
15:07You laugh or you get annoyed.
15:09Now another person enters.
15:12He is poorly dressed.
15:13He can hardly stand.
15:15His eyes are wet.
15:16His voice is shaking.
15:17He cannot even clearly say what he wants.
15:20He only says, I am hungry.
15:23What do you do?
15:24Two people.
15:25Both are asking.
15:27One is rejected.
15:28The other is accepted.
15:30Where is the difference?
15:31The difference is in these three.
15:34He asks with his tongue, his state, and his actions.
15:37When these three come together and knock on the door of Dergah Elahi, there is no chance
15:43of rejection.
15:44To say your helplessness with your tongue.
15:47But this is not just words.
15:49What the tongue says and what the heart confirms must be the same.
15:53Saying, Ya Rabb, I am helpless.
15:57But inside thinking, I can handle it myself.
16:00This is not it.
16:02Your state must also show helplessness.
16:05The eyes speak.
16:07The hands speak.
16:08The tone of the voice speaks.
16:10And your actions must also show helplessness.
16:12Your tongue says, I am helpless.
16:15Your state looks broken.
16:17But what do your actions say?
16:19Your actions must also turn to Allah.
16:22You must expect the solution only from Him.
16:25And when these three come together, there is a name for it.
16:30What does Id-Tirar mean?
16:32The knife has reached the bone.
16:34There is no space left.
16:36The place where light is gone.
16:38The moment when all doors are closed.
16:40The point where all causes are finished.
16:43The Quran clearly says,
16:45Or who responds to the one in distress when he calls upon him and removes the evil?
16:52Surah Naml 62
16:55The Messenger ﷺ said,
16:57The dua of three people is not rejected.
17:01The oppressed person, the traveler, and the father for his child.
17:06Tirmidhi Bir 7
17:08Remember Yunus ﷺ in the belly of the fish.
17:12In three darknesses, no cause left, no door open, complete Id-Tirar.
17:17And at that moment, this dua came out.
17:20La ilaha illa anta subhanaka inni kuntu minas zalimin.
17:25With his tongue?
17:26Yes.
17:27With his state?
17:28Yes.
17:29With his actions?
17:30Yes.
17:30He had no other door.
17:32And what does the Quran say?
17:33If he had not been among those who glorify Allah,
17:37he would have remained in the belly of the fish until the day they are resurrected.
17:41Surah Safat 144
17:44A question may be a question you have been carrying inside for a long time.
17:50You made dua, you begged, you cried, you woke up at night, raised your hands, you asked again and again.
17:58It did not happen.
18:00And in that moment, a feeling came inside you.
18:03Maybe you did not say it, but you felt it.
18:06Maybe Allah does not hear me, or maybe he does not love me.
18:09Now ask this, does someone who loves hurt the one they love?
18:14The mind says no.
18:16The one who loves does not hurt.
18:18But real life shows something else.
18:20Think about Yusuf, one of the beloved servants of Allah, a prophet, good character, pure heart, an innocent child.
18:29And his brothers take him and throw him into a well, dark, cold, alone.
18:35Then he is taken out of the well, sold as a slave, put into prison, the well, slavery, prison,
18:43one of the most beloved servants of Allah, and this is his life.
18:47Now think about the messenger, sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, the year of sorrow.
18:53His beloved wife, Khadijah radiallahu anha, passes away.
18:57Then Taif, he is stoned, his blessed feet are covered in blood.
19:02The most beloved of Allah walking in blood on the road of Taif.
19:08Now ask again, does someone who loves do this to the one they love?
19:13Allah throws his beloved servant Yusuf alayhi wa sallam into the well to make him feel this.
19:19Why?
19:19Because in that well, Yusuf alayhi wa sallam understands his helplessness so deeply
19:25and meets the endlessness of his rab.
19:27What honor can be greater than this?
19:30So sometimes the sign of love is the well.
19:33It is said, do you know what the angels say?
19:36Ya Rab, please keep Yusuf a little longer in the well,
19:40because we never tasted the spiritual sweetness from anything like we did from his duas.
19:46This is how they describe the beauty of his duas.
19:49The messenger sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said,
19:53If Allah loves a servant, he tests him with difficulties.
19:57Whoever is pleased, Allah is pleased with him.
20:00Tirmidhi Zuhd 57
20:03The people who are tested the most are the prophets.
20:07Then those most like them.
20:09Tirmidhi Zuhd 57
20:12Now look at Ayyub alayhi wa sallam, 70 years of a good life, then 16 years of illness.
20:19What did he do in those 16 years?
20:21He did not complain.
20:23One day, he made this du'a.
20:26Rabbi, inni masaniya durru wa anta arhamur rahimin.
20:31He did not say, heal me.
20:32He did not say, take this illness away.
20:35He only presented his state.
20:37The elders said, if I wish my illness to go away, it means I also wish my du'as to
20:43stop being accepted.
20:45Difficulties are like whips of destiny.
20:48They say, come, understand your helplessness.
20:50Come, stand in my presence.
20:53Do not search for solutions at other doors.
20:56A difficulty is an invitation.
20:59An invitation from Allah for you to come to his door.
21:02Now return to Ta'if.
21:04The messenger, sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, leaves the city that day, covered in blood.
21:11What comes after that?
21:12Mi'raj comes.
21:14It is the way of Allah.
21:15After Ta'if comes Mi'raj.
21:18From the well of Yusuf, alayhi wa sallam, came a throne.
21:21From the fish of Yunus, alayhi wa sallam, came the shore.
21:24From the Ta'if of the messenger, sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, came Mi'raj.
21:29And you?
21:30Maybe you are in a well right now.
21:32Maybe you are inside a fish.
21:34Maybe your path is full of stones.
21:37And you think, Allah does not love me.
21:39But maybe it is the opposite.
21:41Maybe Allah loves you so much that he is taking you through the well.
21:45Because the doua made at the bottom of the well cannot be made anywhere else.
21:50And the surrender at the bottom of the well cannot be lived in any other way.
21:57Answering is one thing.
21:58Accepting is another.
22:00Imagine a scene.
22:01A small child is sick in the doctor's office.
22:05The child looks at the doctor and says,
22:07Doctor, give me that pink syrup.
22:09It looks very nice.
22:10The doctor smiles.
22:12I heard you, but that syrup is not good for you.
22:15I will give you this one.
22:17The child is unhappy.
22:18I don't want that.
22:20I want the pink one.
22:21The doctor still gives what the child does not want.
22:24Now ask, did the doctor hear the child?
22:27Yes.
22:28Did he answer?
22:30Yes.
22:31Did he give what the child wanted?
22:33No.
22:34Answering is different.
22:36Accepting is different.
22:38For every doua, there is an answer.
22:40But giving exactly what is asked depends on the wisdom of Allah.
22:44So what are the forms of the answer?
22:47First, giving the same thing.
22:49You asked and it is given.
22:51Second, giving something better.
22:53There is something better for you.
22:56Third, giving later, not now, when the time comes.
23:01Fourth, not giving at all, because not giving is mercy at that moment.
23:06The messenger, sallallahu alayhi wasallam, said,
23:09When a servant makes a doua that is not sinful, Allah gives one of three things.
23:14Either he answers it immediately, or saves it for the akhira, or removes a harm equal to it.
23:21Ahmad ibn Hanbal Musnad, 10,749
23:25No doua is left without a response.
23:28We just cannot choose the form of the response.
23:31Now ask yourself, did you ever experience this?
23:35You wanted something for years.
23:37It did not happen.
23:39You felt sad.
23:40You questioned it.
23:42Then years passed.
23:43You looked back and said,
23:45Allah, I am glad you did not give it.
23:47I am really glad.
23:49This is one of the clearest proofs in life.
23:52Allah knows better than you.
23:55By not giving, he showed mercy to us.
23:58If the answer of doua was left to us, we could destroy our akhira.
24:02Now come to a very important point.
24:05Shaitan works exactly in this gap.
24:07A person makes doua.
24:09It does not happen.
24:10Again, still nothing.
24:12And at that breaking point, Shaitan whispers,
24:15Look, there is no answer.
24:17That means no one is hearing you.
24:19If Allah existed, he would give you what you asked.
24:23When a person keeps thinking like this and believes it,
24:26they can lose their iman.
24:28May Allah protect us all.
24:29The messenger, sallallahu alayhi wasallam, said,
24:32The doua of one of you is accepted as long as he is not impatient,
24:37saying, I made doua, but it was not accepted.
24:40Bukhari, Dawah, 22.
24:42And he also said,
24:44Patience is at the first moment of the strike.
24:48Bukhari, Jannaiz, 43.
24:51When the difficulty hits you,
24:53to be patient at that moment.
24:55That is real patience.
24:57And what is shown to the one who is patient,
24:59wisdom is shown.
25:02Imagine another scene.
25:04A man is the richest in the village.
25:06He has many fields, many animals.
25:09Everything he wants happens.
25:10One day, he sits alone.
25:13And this thought comes to his mind.
25:15If everything I want happens,
25:17then I do not need Allah at all.
25:21Astafirullah.
25:22This man is real.
25:23And shortly after this thought,
25:25everything falls apart.
25:27His wealth is gone.
25:28His reputation is gone.
25:30In the end,
25:31he is selling tobacco in village coffee places.
25:33But in that process,
25:35he repents.
25:36He finds Allah.
25:38He starts to pray.
25:40Now remember Qarun.
25:41He is mentioned in the Quran.
25:43A man whose treasure keys alone
25:45were carried by many strong camels.
25:47And what did Qarun say?
25:49This was given to me because of the knowledge I have.
25:52Surah Qassas, 78.
25:55I earned it.
25:56My intelligence,
25:57my effort.
25:57And Allah made the Al-A'd swallow him.
26:01There is something from Qarun inside all of us.
26:04I earned it.
26:05I did it.
26:06If you earned it with your own intelligence,
26:08then why did you not earn it five years ago?
26:11This question is very sharp.
26:13If that money comes from you,
26:15then it should come whenever you want.
26:17It should come all the time.
26:19But it does not.
26:21Sometimes it comes.
26:22Sometimes it does not.
26:24That means it is not coming from you.
26:26It is given to you.
26:28You did not take it by force.
26:29You did not take it by fighting.
26:31You did not take it by your intelligence.
26:34It was given because of your helplessness.
26:36It was given because of your need.
26:38It was given because of your poverty.
26:41Do you know the biggest trick of the nafs?
26:44It cuts the connection between things and the names of Allah
26:48and then says,
26:49This is mine.
26:51It cuts the connection between this tea and the one who gave it.
26:55It cuts the connection between this risk and the one who created it.
26:59What does the nafs do?
27:01It cuts the connection and says,
27:03This is mine.
27:05The Messenger, Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam, said,
27:08Allahim, every blessing I have is only from you.
27:11All praise is for you and all thanks is for you.
27:15Abu Dawud, Adab 110.
27:18Every blessing I have is only from you.
27:21This du'ah was recited every morning.
27:24Why?
27:24Because we must know that what we have also comes from Allah.
27:28Now let's return to that dangerous sentence.
27:32I earned it.
27:33This sentence puts a barrier between Allah and the servant.
27:37The moment you see that wealth is coming from yourself,
27:40a connection that should make you thank Allah is cut.
27:43A door that should make you turn to Allah in du'ah is closed.
27:47I already have it.
27:49Why should I make du'ah to Allah?
27:51And du'ah stops.
27:53Servanthood becomes weak.
27:55The heart becomes hard.
27:58The Messenger, Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam, said,
28:01No one will enter Paradise because of their deeds.
28:04The Companions asked,
28:05Not even you, Ya Rasulullah.
28:07He said,
28:08Not even me unless Allah covers me with His mercy.
28:12Bukhari, Riqqaq, 18.
28:15Even the Messenger, Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam, does not say,
28:20I earned it with my deeds.
28:22Mercy.
28:24The mercy of Allah.
28:25So even the greatest deeds are nothing compared to the mercy of Allah.
28:30Then why do we say,
28:31I earned it?
28:33Imagine a scene.
28:34A person watches movies for hours and enjoys it a lot.
28:38But the same person cannot pick up the Quran and read for even one hour.
28:43Maybe not even one minute.
28:46Why?
28:47Physically it is possible.
28:48Same person, same eyes, same brain.
28:51But one is ten hours.
28:52The other is not even ten minutes.
28:54The answer is here.
28:56There is no strength in his Lataif for it.
28:59What are Lataif?
29:02They are our spiritual organs.
29:04Just like a person can lift more if their physical muscles are strong,
29:08the stronger a person's Lataif are,
29:11the stronger their connection with Allah is.
29:14Spiritual organs.
29:16You cannot see them.
29:17You cannot touch them.
29:19But they are always working.
29:21Either they take you to Allah,
29:23or they take you away from Allah.
29:27There are two concepts.
29:29Shahika.
29:29A feeling inside you.
29:32Let me do this kind of desire.
29:35Saika.
29:36The force that directs that desire to a direction.
29:39It takes that spark and pushes you somewhere.
29:42If your Lataif are strongly connected to Allah,
29:45your Shahika pulls you to good things.
29:47Your shahika guides you to good choices.
29:50If that connection is weak,
29:52your Shahika pulls you to dark places.
29:54Your shahika takes you to harmful choices.
29:57The Messenger, sallallahu alayhi wasallam, narrated,
30:00Allah azza v'challi said,
30:02If I love a servant,
30:03I become his seeing eye,
30:05his holding hand,
30:07his walking foot,
30:08and his speaking tongue.
30:10Bukhari, Rikak, 38.
30:13Now a very important point.
30:15Sins do not trap a person forever.
30:18I have seen people sincerely repent,
30:20and then become very close to Allah.
30:23Tawbah changes everything.
30:24So how do Lataif become strong?
30:27First, avoid sins,
30:29especially backbiting, jealousy, and slander.
30:33Second, Dikr, remembering Allah.
30:35The difference between the one who remembers his Rab
30:38and the one who does not
30:39is like the difference between the living and the dead.
30:43Third, Bukhari, Dawat, 66.
30:46Third, Dua itself.
30:49Dua strengthens the Lataif.
30:51And stronger Lataif make deeper Dua.
30:54What is Sunuhat?
30:55Meanings that come into the heart.
30:58But these meanings do not come randomly.
31:00There is a foundation.
31:02There are two necessary steps for Sunuhat.
31:05First, continuous effort in something.
31:08Second, after that effort,
31:09that thing becomes a natural ability in you.
31:13Make effort.
31:14Repeat, repeat.
31:16In the end, it becomes natural for you.
31:19And after that point,
31:20the door of Sunuhat begins to open.
31:23At the base of all these layers
31:25is your relationship with Allah
31:27and the strength of your Lataif.
31:29A person whose Lataif are not strong
31:32cannot understand inspiration
31:34and remains deprived of Sunuhat.
31:37Now imagine a scene.
31:38You are in a very difficult situation.
31:41Doors are closed,
31:42and in front of you
31:43there is a strong, generous,
31:45and helpful man.
31:47What is the smartest first sentence you would say?
31:51You are generous.
31:52You are helpful.
31:54Can you help me too?
31:56First, you describe him.
31:58Then you ask for help.
31:59This is a secret
32:01that opens one of the deepest layers of du'a,
32:04calling Allah with his names.
32:06Asma al-Husna,
32:08the beautiful names of Allah.
32:10Allah, Azze ve Celle says,
32:13The one who comes to me with my names,
32:15I do not turn him away.
32:17And in another narration,
32:19a du'a made with Izmi Azam
32:22is definitely accepted.
32:24Coming with the names is so powerful
32:26that sometimes you receive more than what you asked for.
32:30There is a greater du'a than saying,
32:32Allahim, give me this.
32:34It is to remember the name of Allah
32:36that gives that thing.
32:38Asking is one thing.
32:39Knowing is another.
32:41Asking is a door.
32:43Knowing opens the whole palace behind that door.
32:46The Quran says,
32:48The most beautiful names belong to Allah,
32:51so call upon him with them.
32:53Surah Araf, 180
32:56Now bring this into your daily life.
32:58You have a need.
32:59Stop.
33:00Think.
33:01Which name of Allah answers this need?
33:04Do you need provision?
33:05Al-Razzaq, the provider.
33:07Do you need healing?
33:08Ash-Shafi, the healer.
33:10Do you need forgiveness?
33:11Al-Ghaffar, the one who forgives a lot.
33:14Do you need strength?
33:16Al-Kawi, the strong one.
33:18Then go with that name.
33:20Knock on that door with that name.
33:22Ya-Razzaq, you are the one who gives provision.
33:25Give me provision.
33:26Ya-Shafi, you are the one who heals.
33:29Give me healing.
33:31Ya-Ghaffar, you are the one who forgives.
33:34Forgive me.
33:36The Messenger, Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam, said,
33:39Allah has 99 names, one less than 100.
33:44Whoever counts them will enter Paradise.
33:47Bukhari, Dawat, 68.
33:49Counts them.
33:50Not just memorizing.
33:52Counting means knowing, understanding, living them,
33:56stopping at each name and asking,
33:58what does this name mean?
33:59How does it appear in my life?
34:01This kind of knowing leads to Paradise.
34:05Now let's come to the concept of Huzur.
34:08What does Huzur mean?
34:10You are at the door of a king.
34:13The door opens.
34:15Someone says,
34:15The king is calling you to his presence.
34:18To say,
34:19I am in Huzur,
34:21means you are in the presence of the king.
34:23Now when you raise your hands and make dua,
34:26whose presence are you in?
34:28Your Rab's.
34:29At that moment you are in Huzur,
34:31truly in Huzur.
34:32You are standing in the presence of the owner of the universe.
34:36Now remember a moment when the Prophet,
34:38Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam, made dua.
34:41Makkah.
34:41The early years of Islam.
34:44Muslims are few.
34:45Pressure is heavy.
34:46And the Prophet, Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam,
34:49makes a different dua.
34:50He says,
34:52Ya Rab,
34:52give me one of the two Umars.
34:54The first,
34:56Amr ibn Hisham,
34:57Abu Jahl,
34:59one of the biggest enemies of Islam.
35:01The second,
35:03Umar ibn Khattab,
35:04radiallahu an,
35:05not yet Muslim,
35:07but strong, brave, and influential.
35:09And the Prophet, Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam,
35:11does not ask for both.
35:13He asks for one.
35:15Why?
35:15First answer,
35:16he is a Prophet.
35:18He knows where Iman can come.
35:20But there is a deeper answer.
35:22To remove the will of Allah and focus only on what you want is against the adab of servanthood.
35:27That is why he asked for one of the two.
35:30The adab of servanthood.
35:32The Messenger, Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam,
35:35could have asked for both of the two Umars to become Muslim.
35:39He has a Rabb who has power over everything.
35:42He could have asked for both.
35:44But he did not.
35:46Why?
35:46Because he did not put his own will before the will of Allah.
35:50Ya Rabb,
35:51you know best.
35:52Give one of them the one that matches your will.
35:54Now let's turn to ourselves.
35:56How do we make dua?
35:59Allahim, give me this car.
36:02Allahim, give me this job.
36:04Allahim, give me that person.
36:06Full stop.
36:07Do we leave space for the will of Allah?
36:10No.
36:11Trying to take something with desire,
36:13with ego,
36:13forcing it in the way the nafs wants.
36:15This does not match the adab of servanthood.
36:19Ask sincerely.
36:20Ask with all your helplessness.
36:23But after asking,
36:24submit to his will.
36:25Ya Rabb, I want this.
36:27But you know better.
36:28If you give, you give.
36:30If you do not give,
36:31you know what is best.
36:33You give what is good for me.
36:35Or if it is not good,
36:36you do not give.
36:37Do not interfere with the rububiyah of Allah.
36:41Leave the plan to him.
36:43Trust his wisdom.
36:43Do not accuse his mercy.
36:46Four sentences.
36:47Four basic rules.
36:49Do not interfere with his rububiyah.
36:51Leave the plan to him.
36:53Trust his wisdom.
36:54Do not question his mercy.
36:56The Messenger ﷺ said,
36:59Whoever seeks the pleasure of Allah,
37:01Allah makes him pleased.
37:03And whoever seeks what is against the pleasure of Allah,
37:06Allah leaves him to himself.
37:09Tirmidhi, Zuhd, 63.
37:12Even if what you wanted does not happen,
37:15Allah puts you in a state where you feel content,
37:18you feel peace,
37:19you feel satisfied.
37:21Because in his will,
37:23there is wisdom for you.
37:25And when you see that wisdom,
37:26you say,
37:27I wish I surrendered earlier.
37:29Now we come to the part,
37:31three doers,
37:31that are never rejected.
37:33Think of a car.
37:35At the factory,
37:36there is a label.
37:36This car can go 300 kilometers per hour.
37:40Can it do that in every situation?
37:42No.
37:43If you put water instead of fuel,
37:45it will not.
37:47If the engine is broken,
37:49it will not.
37:50When all conditions come together perfectly,
37:53this is called
37:54Illat al-Tamma,
37:56complete cause.
37:57Du'a is like this.
37:59In some hadith,
38:00it says,
38:00If you read this seven times,
38:02this will happen.
38:03A person reads it,
38:04it does not happen.
38:06Why?
38:07Because there is a problem in the one who reads.
38:09The car is broken.
38:11The fuel is wrong.
38:12Now ask this question.
38:14Is there a du'a that is never rejected?
38:17Yes.
38:18There are three types of du'a that are never rejected.
38:21Never.
38:22First,
38:23du'a made with the language of istidad.
38:25What is istidad?
38:27Ability.
38:28Potential.
38:29The seed inside you.
38:31Think of an apricot seed.
38:32That small seed in the soil.
38:35What does it want?
38:36It wants to become an apricot tree.
38:38Its whole existence is created for that.
38:41Is this a du'a?
38:42Yes.
38:43A silent du'a,
38:45made with its nature.
38:47And what does Allah do?
38:49He sends the sun.
38:50He sends the rain.
38:52The whole universe answers that silent du'a.
38:55But for humans,
38:56there is also will.
38:57Three things must come together.
39:00First,
39:01the divine will and wisdom.
39:03Second,
39:04natural ability.
39:06Third,
39:06the will of the human.
39:08When these three come together,
39:11illat al-tamma is completed.
39:14And the du'a made with the language of istidad is accepted.
39:19Second,
39:20du'a made with the language of fitri need.
39:23Fitri need means natural need.
39:26A need that comes from creation.
39:28Think about a baby in the womb.
39:30It needs provision there.
39:32Does the baby take any action for it?
39:34No.
39:34And what does Allah do?
39:36Without any action,
39:38he feeds that baby directly.
39:40Why?
39:40Because that need is fitri.
39:42It comes from creation.
39:44And Allah responds to fitri needs.
39:46There is also a special guarantee
39:48for the provision of those who are busy with knowledge.
39:52Third,
39:53du'a made with the language of idtiraar.
39:56When you have no other solution.
39:59When every door is closed.
40:00And in that moment,
40:01you understand that everything is only in the hands of Allah.
40:05Or who responds to the one in distress
40:08when he calls upon him and removes the evil.
40:11Surah Naml 62.
40:14The messenger sallallahu alayhi wasallam was in a battle.
40:18The companion said,
40:20Ya Rasulallah,
40:21we have no water.
40:23There is only one small container of water.
40:26Bring it.
40:28The messenger sallallahu alayhi wasallam
40:30made du'a over that small amount of water.
40:33And the whole army drank from it.
40:35You follow the means.
40:37You take that small step.
40:39That small container can turn into oceans.
40:41Now, why is a du'a not given
40:45even when all conditions seem ready?
40:47There are two wisdoms.
40:49First,
40:50outwardly,
40:51everything looks complete.
40:53But inwardly,
40:54something is missing.
40:56Even if it looks like there is ability,
40:58in reality,
40:59some conditions are missing.
41:01For example,
41:02sincerity is weak.
41:04Intention is weak.
41:05Second,
41:07Allah wants to show his oneness.
41:09I am not dependent on laws.
41:11The laws are dependent on me.
41:13When I want,
41:14I break them.
41:16Now,
41:16ask yourself a question.
41:18It is 8.05.
41:20The evening Adhan is called.
41:22Why does it rise exactly at that moment?
41:25Because the sun has set.
41:27The setting of the sun is the time for Maghrib prayer.
41:30Now,
41:31think of another moment.
41:32Rain has stopped.
41:34The soil is dry.
41:35The land is cracked.
41:36People make dua for rain.
41:39But why?
41:40Is it just to make rain come?
41:42Salat and dua for rain is an act of worship.
41:45The lack of rain is the time for that worship.
41:48It is not only to bring rain.
41:51Wait.
41:52So,
41:53reindua is not just for rain?
41:55No.
41:55The stopping of rain is an alarm.
41:57And that alarm says,
41:59time for dua has come.
42:01This way of thinking changes everything.
42:04We think like this.
42:05There is a problem.
42:06Let's make dua,
42:07so the problem is solved.
42:08But in reality,
42:10if there is a problem,
42:11it shows that it is time for dua.
42:14The main purpose is not solving the problem.
42:17The main purpose is making dua.
42:19The messenger,
42:21sallallahu alayhi wasallam,
42:22said,
42:23When the sun or the moon is eclipsed,
42:26pray,
42:26make dua,
42:27and give charity.
42:29Bukhari,
42:29Kusuf 2.
42:30The sun darkens.
42:32Allah is saying,
42:33Look,
42:33you cannot even turn off a small light easily.
42:36I can turn off the sun.
42:38See my greatness.
42:39Come to servanthood.
42:40Now think of every alarm in your life like this.
42:44Your leg hurts.
42:45What does it mean?
42:46Time for dua.
42:47Your work fails.
42:49Time for dua.
42:50Money is gone.
42:52Time for dua.
42:53Your health is shaken.
42:55Time for dua.
42:57The messenger,
42:58sallallahu alayhi wasallam,
43:00said,
43:00There is no Muslim who makes a dua,
43:03except that Allah gives him one of three things.
43:06Either he answers it immediately,
43:08or saves it for the akhira.
43:10or removes a harm from him.
43:12Tirmidhi,
43:13Dawat,
43:1498.
43:15No dua is left without response.
43:18Either it is given now,
43:19or it is saved for the akhira,
43:22or a difficulty is removed because of it.
43:25So dua is never wasted.
43:29There is a sentence,
43:30short,
43:31but it carries a whole life inside it.
43:33I fall to your decree.
43:36Who says this?
43:37The one who has no doors left.
43:39The one who has no path left.
43:41The one who has nothing left to hold on to.
43:43And at that moment,
43:44he comes to that door,
43:46raises his hands,
43:47and says,
43:48I fall to your decree.
43:50In Risalei Nur,
43:52this state is described like this.
43:54Ya Rab,
43:55I cry,
43:56and I suffer.
43:58But even if I struggle,
43:59I come only to your dergah.
44:02Even if I am a sinner,
44:03even if I am guilty,
44:05I did not burn in anyone else's fire.
44:08I will burn only in yours,
44:10Ya Rab.
44:11Maybe I burn inside,
44:13but I burn with you.
44:14I fall to your decree.
44:17To understand this state,
44:19first ask this.
44:21Have you ever truly fallen to his decree?
44:24Not only with your tongue,
44:25but also in your state and your actions.
44:28Are there really no other doors left?
44:31Did you really leave that last piece you were holding?
44:34Most of us cannot reach this state,
44:36because we still have something in our hands.
44:39We still have something we trust.
44:40We still have one last door.
44:42We say,
44:43I will try this too.
44:45And we cannot reach full itirah.
44:47Now ask this.
44:49When is it possible to leave everything?
44:52It becomes possible when this truth settles inside you.
44:56Everything is in the hands of Allah.
44:59Everything comes from Him.
45:01I am only a means.
45:03When this truth settles not only in the mind,
45:06but also in the heart,
45:07then everything becomes possible.
45:09Rizali Nur says,
45:11Why were endless needs given to you?
45:14To make you feel your need for the endless,
45:17so you search for Him.
45:19Come and find the endless.
45:21Why do you always want more?
45:24Why does a new desire come after you get something?
45:27Why does nothing fully satisfy you?
45:30Because you were created for the endless,
45:32and limited things cannot satisfy an endless need.
45:36And here,
45:37falling to His decree finds its meaning.
45:40It means leaving limited doors,
45:43coming to the endless door,
45:45leaving temporary supports,
45:48leaning on the Eternal.
45:49I cannot find anything in these.
45:52You are there.
45:53I come to you.
45:55The Messenger,
45:57Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam, said,
45:59Have good thoughts about Allah,
46:01because Allah treats His servant according to His expectation.
46:05Muslim,
46:05Tawbah,
46:0622.
46:07To fall to His decree
46:08is to have good expectation.
46:11Ya Rabb,
46:12I am a sinner,
46:13but you are Al-Gaffar.
46:16I am broken,
46:17but you are Al-Jabbar.
46:19I am tired,
46:20but you are Al-Muin.
46:22Every weakness is a name.
46:24Every break is a door.
46:26Every fall is a step upward.
46:28Allah Azzev Acele,
46:29when He sees His servant at other doors,
46:32He closes that door.
46:34Why?
46:34So you do not stay at false doors,
46:37but find the real one.
46:39If He opened those doors,
46:41you would love the false ones
46:43and never go to the real door.
46:45So sometimes,
46:46the greatest mercy of Allah is not giving,
46:49because if He gave,
46:50you would never go to the real door.
46:53So what is a person like
46:54who truly falls to His decree?
46:56Three qualities.
46:57First,
46:58He knows everything is from Allah.
47:00Health,
47:01money,
47:01mind,
47:02all of this is from Him.
47:04All of this is His trust.
47:06Second,
47:06He hears every alarm.
47:09A difficulty comes,
47:10time for du'ah.
47:12A blessing comes,
47:13time for gratitude.
47:14A loss comes,
47:15time for patience.
47:17Third,
47:17He knows He is always in His presence.
47:20What is a son?
47:22To worship Allah as if you see Him.
47:24Even if you do not see Him,
47:26He sees you.
47:27Bukhari,
47:28Iman 37.
47:30And at this point,
47:31falling to His decree
47:33reaches its most beautiful form.
47:35Du'ah is no longer a wish list.
47:38Du'ah becomes a meeting.
47:40Du'ah becomes a conversation
47:41with a close one.
47:43Du'ah becomes like a child
47:45leaning on their father
47:46with deep trust and deep love.
47:49We spoke about helplessness.
47:51We spoke about idols.
47:53We spoke about the formula.
47:55We spoke about time.
47:57We spoke about wisdom.
47:58We spoke about names.
48:00We spoke about adab.
48:02We spoke about alarms.
48:04We spoke about transformation.
48:07We spoke about surrender.
48:09And now we come to the last part.
48:11but this is not a summary. This is a mirror. You will look at yourself and ask this. After
48:18learning all of this, did I change? First, remember this. When dua hits, it brings down.
48:26When it holds, it lifts, makes you walk, makes you run. When dua hits, it breaks you and changes you.
48:33What does this mean? There is a person. Life is going normally, and Allah gives that person a dua,
48:39a real dua. From inside, that dua hits, and when it hits, that person's life changes,
48:47because real dua is a meeting, and a person who truly meets Allah cannot stay the same.
48:52And when dua holds, it lifts. It raised Yusuf from the well to the throne. It brought Yunus
49:00from the belly of the fish to the shore. It raised the messenger from Taif to Mi'raj.
49:09When dua holds, there is nowhere it cannot lift you.
49:15Dua comes from pure Iman. If a person cannot make dua from the heart, then the problem is in the
49:22Iman.
49:22Dua comes from Iman, and Iman does not change in one moment. But know this. This series planted the
49:30seeds of that Iman. And when a seed is planted, it will grow. Tonight, do this. Raise your hands,
49:38but this time not with a list. Start like this. Ya Rab, I am helpless, truly helpless.
49:45I knocked on false doors. I ran to wrong places. I trusted others instead of you. Forgive me.
49:52Then stop. What do you feel inside? Maybe nothing. Maybe a small movement. Maybe tears. Accept every
49:59state. All of them mean you are standing at that door. Then say this. Ya Rab, I fall to your
50:06decree.
50:06These four words. The whole message is inside these four words. The messenger sallallahu alayhi wasallam
50:14said, Our Rab comes down every night to the lowest heaven and says, Who is making dua to me so
50:21I can
50:22answer? Who is asking from me so I can give? Who is asking for forgiveness so I can forgive? Bukhari
50:30Tahajjud 14. Every night. Who is making dua to me? Allah is asking. Will you be there tonight?
50:38Tonight. After everyone sleeps, raise your hands and just say, Ya Rab, I fall to your decree. Leave the rest
50:47to him. Subhanaka la ilma lana illa ma alamtana innaka antal alimul hakim. You are free from all
50:55nux. We have no knowledge except what you taught us. Truly, you are the all-knowing, the wise.
