00:00What up, nerds? Welcome back to Graptops. It's been a little bit. For the housekeeping, before I get to business,

00:42And with all of the newfound people coming over to the Tony Converse, I figure somebody needs to tell you
00:50who's on the roster.
00:51I'm going to do one of these for the AEW first. But, with Supercard coming up soon, I wanted to,
00:58well, honestly, do something smaller to get back in the swing of things.
01:03So, the champions here, it is mirrored, so it's not going to be the same. We're doing this in a
01:09few sections.
01:10I am going to talk about the champions on their own.
01:15As it is, Ring of Honor right now is the brand for placeholder title reigns.
01:20Bandito. Hopefully, he loses to Blake Christian. Bandito's great. Has run its course.
01:28Athena. We love the fallen goddess. The lack of building up anyone for the last year for this title is
01:35a joke.
01:36Lee Moriarty. He rocks.
01:40Nick Wayne. They bungled the whole thing with the injury for the TV title, so it's been on Mothballs for
01:47a while.
01:47But he's at least back in Japan. There's an AR Fox defense on this week's show, as we record.
01:54Not the special Tuesday episode, the regular Thursday.
01:57Sammy and Mortos, the tag champs.
02:00You know what? I was going to do this later, but we'll do it now.
02:04Wow. This works? Yeah. Sammy Guevara. His last matches. Last one was Amazing Red at HOG.
02:15Mortos worked a week ago in Mexico, so he is definitely healthy.
02:20Whatever's going on, I don't know. It's ridiculous.
02:23We have the champions here with their length of reign.
02:28Diana and Red Velvet are really the only ones putting in the work right now, actively defending and working on
02:33the title.
02:34Lee is having matches. He did defend against Cheeseburger recently, the world famous CB.
02:39He has defended more and had more matches, which is great.
02:43But overall, we are not seeing nearly enough of the champions as we should.
02:48Other than STP, they are very good.
02:52But let's go back to the roster. Let's actually get with what we're doing.

02:58So, we start at the top.
03:01And even before I go into the actual roster here, I'm going off-board.
03:06A's in the metaphorical chat for Alan Angels.
03:09He was on the recent episode of television.
03:11The former Dark Order member, the member of Sammy Guevara's vlog crew,
03:15who has a match coming up, a dog collar match with KJ Orso,
03:19that I hope makes tape because we really want to see that.
03:24No, he's not here, but I wanted to shout him out since he was on the episode recently,
03:28and we do love Alan Angels.
03:31But, Angelico.
03:33We first learned about him from Lucha Underground,
03:36which, go back, Bundacast has been doing a watch-along.
03:39It's a little bit far along now.
03:41But still, the first few seasons at least are great.
03:44It declines.
03:44But Angelico, the Yahveh master, it's gone back and forth on how meme-worthy it is.
03:51Not in that it's not serious.
03:53He is an excellent technical wrestler.
03:55But as part of Spanish Announce Project with Cepentico,
03:59they don't always get the opportunity to shine.
04:03Angelico is great.
04:04Very talented.
04:05Awesome theme.
04:07Underutilized.
04:09His tag team with Jack Evans was great.
04:11It's a shame that he's no longer in any of these companies.

05:40We're not as sold on her inclusion so far, but we do enjoy the storyline.

05:51Currently being pursued by Shane Strickland after Shane went through Brody King.

05:59You were so sad, ma'am.
06:01Bandito is just excellent.
06:04And deceptively strong in that he's small, not a massive man like Claudio Castagnoli.
06:11But Bandito will do things that will just make your jaw drop.
06:17Ma'am, those are claws, ma'am.
06:21But Bandito has been an excellent Ring of Honor champion.
06:27However, the execution of this title reign since he got the belt from Jericho this time has been a travesty.
06:37Billy Starks going on to next row.
06:39Currently still in college.
06:42Judgment still withheld.
06:47The same as when Billy was in high school and still wrestling.
06:51Billy is very good.
06:53Billy still has great potential.
06:57We agree that Billy still needs something.
07:02But she's still in school, which we can't knock that for focusing on that.
07:10The work is better now than it was five years ago.
07:13But not as well as it should be.
07:16But again, we are grading on a curve because we know she is actively in school still.
07:23Plenty of other people on the roster should probably take up those things, but we are where we are.
07:30Billy is a great character worker, great underdog.
07:33She's got a little mean streak in her, so the heel work isn't bad either.
07:38The sky is the limit, but I hope that she's not going to be stuck cruising forever.
07:46Bobby Cruz, the announcer, the long-time Ring of Honor announcer going back to the Sinclair Broadcasting days.
07:51He's great, but he's an announcer, so I'm not going to go into a lot of depth here.

07:59He's good at what he does.

13:48We first had exposure to her back when we were attending Full Sail NXT as a person there.

14:00But she has since proven that she is so much more.

14:11Admittedly, we do not find her always captivating.
14:14But we know that there is a very solid floor for any of her matches.
14:21You're going to get something good.
14:24You might not get something great, but you will get something good.

14:40She was in the women's tag tournament in AEW with Ivelisse.
14:45That's probably best left in the past.
14:47She has been a good performer on television when they inserted her into the Minion storyline.
14:53I don't think it's gelled as well as it could have.

15:00I thought they were going to use that to develop tension, go somewhere with it.
15:03But it kind of just hasn't.

15:17The reason that we didn't go completely lump Griff Garrison in with the rest of his frat
15:23house buddies is Griff gets a special exception in this household.
15:26He is on the list of my partner's favorites.
15:30I can't quite put it into words myself.
15:33She has a type.
15:35But, I mean, we own a Varsity Blonde shirt.
15:39That's how much of actual fans we are of Griff Garrison.
15:42We will support him.
15:43She likes him, so I'm behind it.
15:45That's, again, part of why I'm doing this to put the casual view into it as well.
15:51He's tall, he's built, he's got a lot of those traditional things.
15:55Another one that, I mean, a lot like Cole, that's why they're a great tag team.

21:09Bounty Hunter, which we actually have a DVD of, or I don't remember why.
21:13But Mansoor, he is, he was originally a token talent being featured during the Blood Money
21:24show start days over in WWE.
21:28He was introduced as he would win, but since, I'm trying to think of how to put this well
21:37and to be positive, ever since he left that company, he has shown that he has a very good
21:45creative mind and we could always tell he could go in the ring.
21:49But now that he's been able to stretch these comedic chops and go on a bigger level, I say
21:56comedy, but comedy wrestling is important.
21:59It is real wrestling.
22:00It is needed.
22:01Your favorite wrestlers do comedy.
22:04It's good when it's called for, but he knows when to do it, when not to.
22:09Mason and Mansoor both are, it is delightful to see how well they can spread their seed now
22:17that they have been able to be so flamboyant.
22:20I would attempt one of the poses, but I would not do it justice, and I don't want to look
22:25like that.

22:52Anyways, a cameo that she cut has been making the rounds lately, and it's great.

23:18Her and Jessamyn Duke as a tag team, no, it wasn't great.
23:20When she came over, we were doubtful.
23:23But she has put in the work.
23:25She's put in the effort.
23:26However, she is now a very strong, positive asset.
23:32I can't say enough good things.
23:35Marina is worth watching all the time now.
23:39Next up, Mark Briscoe.
23:41Again, touched on it with his brother Jay, but Mark is just a unique individual.
23:48I mean that in all the best ways.
23:50He's the word of the day segments on TV, all of the escapades on the farm.
23:56He shows you the dichotomy that Anakin Skywalker would be proud of.
24:01He is unhinged violence, bloody, absurd humor.
24:09This is why I said comedy is very important, but also deadly serious.
24:13He will make you believe, make you care.
24:16He will reach out and get you to care.
24:20In-ring style is, what, redneck kung fu as it is referred to.
24:25It is just a very unique hybrid blend that is, it's disjointed on purpose,
24:31and it's just a pleasure to see something that you're going to fall, man.

24:43The Marshall and, normally I've been stopping at the two pointers here,
24:48two rows, but I don't want to disturb her.

25:58moved to commentator because they were short-sighted fools, which we know.
26:03Released, has taken on a new life with Mansoor for MXM.
26:09A spotlight of mentioning here, just a big man who,
26:15deceptive big man sounds like I'm being negative,
26:19but that is not the case.
26:21He can go from zero to 60 incredibly fast,
26:24demonstrates strength and finesse back to back.
26:29He has multiple levels.
26:30He can hit them all.
26:32He's really good.
26:33We think he has, of all the people that might say that I'm putting,
26:38some people would say I'm putting my reaching on, for better words.
26:42No, I'm not re-recording this.
26:43This is me getting back in the swing of things.
26:46Mason Madden has shown, one of those people like Marina,
26:49shown that he's been putting in the work, and doing a damn good job at it.

27:52Which, yeah, surprising thing, but it was delightful to see Mina get some big wins lately.
27:58She's been presented as a more serious character with more agency.
28:03Over the last, I've never disliked Mina, but something over the past,
28:08definitely over the past two years at least,
28:11the work has gone up another level,
28:14and she's a lot better than we thought she was before.
