00:01Iran has warned European countries on Monday against sending warships to the Strait of Hormuz.
00:07Iran's foreign ministry spokesperson argued that any European involvement would only push energy prices higher
00:14and create additional complications to an already delicate situation.
00:18On Sunday, U.S. President Donald Trump slammed Iran's response to his latest ceasefire proposal,
00:24calling it, quote, totally unacceptable.
00:26According to reports, Tehran proposed an initial halt to hostilities linked to easing maritime restrictions,
00:33which would be followed by a 30-day period of nuclear discussions.
00:37Tehran has reportedly rejected an outright dismantling of its nuclear infrastructure,
00:42but has instead suggested diluting part of its highly enriched uranium and transferring remaining stockpiles to a third country.
00:50They also agreed to pause enrichment activity, albeit for a much shorter period than Washington had proposed.
00:57At the core of its demands, Iran stood firm, demanding the release of its frozen assets
01:03and an end to the U.S. naval blockade of its ports and reparations for damages caused by U.S.-Israeli
01:09strikes,
01:10all of which they deemed reasonable.
01:15Therefore, everything that we proposed in our text consisted of reasonable demands, responsible proposals and generous suggestions,
01:23not only for Iran's national interest, but also for the good, stability and security of the entire region and the
01:31world.
01:34Iran added that Lebanon, which has been the target of heavy Israeli attacks,
01:38must also be included in any ceasefire arrangement, calling it a red line for them.
