00:18It was put forward by Pakistani, Egyptian and Turkish mediators, who hope that the 45-day
00:24timeframe would provide enough time for discussions to come to a permanent truce.

00:34It comes after US President Donald Trump gave an ultimatum to Tehran, threatening to strike
00:40the country's critical infrastructure if it does not reopen the strait.
00:44On the ground in Iran, the US and Israel are pressing ahead with their campaign of airstrikes.
00:49On Monday, the leader of Iran's paramilitary revolutionary guard was killed in an attack
00:54targeting him, according to the country's state media.
00:57The fighting continues to take a heavy toll on civilians, with more people killed across
01:02the country on Monday.
01:04Iran, for its part, is continuing with its own offensive, launching strikes at Gulf neighbours
01:09and Israel.
