02:27Yeah, no, I'll take the seven and a half points all day long here with the Toronto Raptors.
02:32Do you figure people are at the stadium at the Rogers Center with their little phones out watching at the same time the Raptors game?
02:40Are they going to be focused on Yamamoto and the Dodgers tonight?
02:43Or if you do get a game number seven, at least Toronto Raptors won tonight?
02:47Nah, just playing into it.
02:48Probably not going to get high ratings in the sixth area for this game.
02:51But we'll see if they get a cover or if it's the Cleveland Cavaliers coming away with the victory.
02:55Call it seven points here.
02:57The New York Knicks on the road to take on the Chicago Bulls.
03:00That line, Joe, four and a half across the board and a total of 234 and a half.
03:05Knicks Bulls tonight from Chicago.
03:07Give me some thoughts on this one.
03:09Yeah, don't sleep on the Bulls.
03:11That's what I'll tell you right now.
03:12I mean, they traded away Zach Levine last season and, man, they got some players here and they got some young guys, too, that can absolutely ball.
03:22And look at them, Darnie.
03:23They're 4-0 on this season.
03:25They have in San Antonio, right?
03:26The two undefeated teams here in the NBA.
03:30In the meantime, the Knicks, again, still trying to figure out rotations, trying not to burn guys out.
03:35Injuries continue to be an issue.
03:37But, yeah, no, I kind of like the Bulls getting points at home here.
03:41I think they're very underrated.
03:43The market will eventually adjust.
03:45I don't think they have.
03:46But I also don't think the Knicks should be laying this number against anybody right now.
03:51How about this one?
03:52The Los Angeles Lakers on the road against the Memphis Grizzlies.
03:55Team Austin Reeves right now for the Lakers.
03:57But I'm seeing reports of an upgrade to questionable for Luka Doncic tonight as it stands.
04:04Doncic, Reeves, LaRavia, Hachimora, and Aiton expected to be in the starting lineups.
04:08But, once again, we're talking about this early in the morning on a Friday.
04:11A lot of things change.
04:12Hey, healthy players get injured sometimes around 5 o'clock mysteriously in the NBA.
04:17But the favorites are the Memphis Grizzlies.
04:19Minus 2.5 to minus 1.5, depending on where you're shopping at.
04:22And at 237.5, the expectations, Doncic could be back.
04:26Would you be crazy for betting them now and getting a better line?
04:29Forget if he doesn't play, they can still win.
04:30Or, come on now.
04:31We've got to wait to see what Luka's doing tonight.
04:33Well, I mean, listen, Reeves has averaged 40 points and 10 assists over the last three games, Donnie.
04:39I mean, my goodness.
04:40We haven't seen that since Jerry West back in March of 1970 here.
04:46So, yeah, he is a force to be reckoned with.
04:49And go figure.
04:50He bet on himself this year, right?
04:52Turned down that extension and said, no, no, no, no.
04:55He did.
04:55I'll play.
04:57And, yeah, we're going to renegotiate at the end of the year.
04:59So, kudos to him.
05:00Listen, Memphis still pretty banged up.
05:03Doesn't have its full complement of guys.
05:05Good win against Phoenix last time out.
05:08Lakers hitting the road for a little road trip here.
05:11I'm not looking at an under in any Memphis Grizzlies game at all.
05:14Lakers aren't going to play defense.
05:16I'm looking at the over here.
05:18And, by the way, this is another one of those opening night NBA Cup games, Donnie.
05:23Along with Toronto and Cleveland.
05:25Yeah, it's the start of the NBA Cup.
05:27So, the whole court is going to be a little psychedelic here tonight.
05:30That's true.
05:31It just means more in the NBA.
05:33The Cup season, huh?
05:34Stanley Cup, NBA Cup.
05:35What gives here?
05:36Denver Nuggets, Portland Trailblazers.
05:38Portland, we know, is not going to be without their, you know, head coach, Chauncey Billups.
05:41We were just talking about on Cal.
05:42She will be one of the first coaches that exits here from being a head coach in the NBA by being fired.
05:47The Nuggets are on the road.
05:49They're favored by four and a half points.
05:50And the total of this game listed at 239.5.
05:54Portland and Denver tonight from the Rose City.
05:56All right, we got history in the making here tonight in this game, Donnie, as the Joker is going to look to become the first NBA player in the history of the game to open a season with five consecutive triple doubles.
06:12When he takes on these Trailblazers, he is four for four triple doubles to start the season here that he tied Oscar Robinson and Russell Westbrook, who did it, by the way, years ago when Russell was actually worth having on a team.
06:28But, yeah, he's going to have an opportunity to do it again tonight against the Trailblazers, who, let's face it, the Trailblazers, great start to the season, haven't really seemed to miss Chauncey Billups all that much.
06:40This is a different animal here.
06:42I think not only does he get the record, I think the Denver Nuggets are going to help him get the record.
06:47And I think they go on to win by double digits one way or the other.
06:50Look, imagine being a multi-time MVP like Nikola Jokic is and starting out the season doing nothing but MVP things, but being third right now in the odds market to win an actual MVP at a plus 420 price.
07:01Why?
07:02Webinyama, three to one price, and SGA at plus 175.
07:06One more game we'll get to tonight, Joe.
07:08The New Orleans Pelicans, who lost the locker room with their head coach, is always a good sign when you're on the road in L.A. to take on the Clippers.
07:15The Clippers are a heavy favorite, Joe, minus 11s out there in a total of 223.5.
07:20Always tough to gauge a team that's ready to implode, and if you want to back them or not.
07:26Well, you know, another one of these NBA Cup openers here for both of these teams.
07:30But let's be reasonable.
07:32I just watched the Clippers hold Golden State to under 100 points, and they lost, Dottie.
07:38And why?
07:39Because they shot 36% from the floor, and they scored 30 total second-half points in that loss.
07:48Now they're going home.
07:49Probably a bad taste in their mouth.
07:51Winless Pelicans, I think, remain winless.
07:54The Clippers will get back on track offensively in a blowout here tonight.
07:59NBA car time.
08:00By the way, does it add extra juice for you there, Joe?
08:02Will you follow along with the NBA Cup?
08:04Because I used to joke, like, somebody just needs to keep tabs on me for exactly what we're talking about,
08:09and who needs what, and who needs what win to advance, and maybe make it to the NBA Cup.
08:13I can't figure it out.
08:14I always like to say, Joe, the fans just want to be entertained.
08:17We don't want to have math equations like calculus determining who's going to play in the NBA Cup.
08:22That's what I have an issue with you.
08:23I do.
08:24Yeah, well, again, just watch the game.
08:26You'll see a new court, right?
08:28It'll be all sorts of fancy.
08:29It'll stand out.
08:30And then just keep it here with us throughout the week.
08:34We'll let you know how it all works and who's playing who and where the best odds lie.
