00:00How about those New York Knicks?
00:02Money coming in on them here.
00:03Opened up overnight, Joe, at minus two.
00:05They now sit at three and a half.
00:06It's just about every outlet across the board taking on the Detroit Pistons tonight.
00:09In Detroit at 7 p.m. Eastern, a total of 234 and a half.
00:13Last time I saw the Knicks, they got beat by the Philadelphia 76ers.
00:17What gives tonight, Joe?
00:18What's that spread line tonight, Knicks, Pistons?
00:21Well, it's not been a good stretch for the Knicks, right?
00:23Got a little bit of a losing streak here now.
00:25We know the Knicks are better at home, although they lost, what, another game there over the weekend.
00:32But the Pistons just played last night on the road as well.
00:36They took on the Cleveland Cavaliers, and they bounced back.
00:39They won, 114 to 110, but it's going to be the second of a back-to-back with travel here.
00:46This line, like you said, though, is starting to see a little bit of Nick love in the marketplace.
00:51I agree with it.
00:53It's a tough spot here for the Pistons.
00:55That was a pretty physical game yesterday against the Cavs.
00:59But the Knicks got to start showing they can win on the road here, Donnie.
01:03And now with this, especially against the team that's leading the Eastern Conference,
01:07this is a big game here tonight for the Knicks.
01:10NBA action.
01:11It's fantastic.
01:12We're in the month of January.
01:13We got a long way to go in the NBA, by the way.
01:14You got January, February, March, April, May, and June.
01:17Six more months.
01:18It feels like the sport's already been on for six months this year.
01:20But how about this?
01:21Russell Westbrook is now the highest-scoring point guard in league history.
01:26One of the single most selfish players in the history of the NBA is moving up the charts.
01:32Why?
01:32Because I've been saying this for a decade now.
01:35There is no worse teammate than Russell Westbrook.
01:38He'd rather get his statistics over a team win seven days a week and twice on Sunday's show.
01:44But he's moving up there.
01:45He's a high-scoring player.
01:46Yeah, well, he's got, you know, he's got longevity, Donnie, and he has got, you know, he's played in an era where, yeah, there was a time in his prime.
01:58Remember, it was like Mr. Triple-Double.
02:00The guy was unbelievable here.
02:02So, he's had a great career.
02:04The numbers tell us he's had a great career.
02:07Worst teammate?
02:08Also, maybe go to him.
02:09Yes.
02:10That award in the history of the NBA.
02:12But certainly, a guy that can rack up the points and the assists and the rebounds like nobody else.
02:20Yep.
02:20Would you rather have a triple-double in this game or actually win it?
02:23He'd take the triple-double.
02:24Would you rather have in a Game 7 NBA Finals a triple-double or actually win the NBA championship?
02:28Give me the triple-double, then we'll see if we can win this basketball game, as it turns out.
02:32How about Jalen Brown?
02:33Stepping up here for the Celtics.
02:35Did you see the run that this man has been going on?
02:3750, 41, 41, 32, 30, 35, 34, 42.
02:42The man is like, this is my team.
02:44Boston is my town.
02:45Jason Tatum, who?
02:46Yeah, he's kind of crazy, right?
02:50I mean, absolutely crazy what he's going down.
02:53And what was it?
02:5410 straight 30-point games or something?
02:57Or that's what he's got?
02:58It's just absolutely crazy how many times this guy has stepped up with no Tatum, nobody else in the lineup,
03:07and single-handedly has now put the Celtics in the conversation as one of the best teams in the East.
03:14Certainly didn't see that happening.
03:16And oh, yeah, by the way, Tatum's practicing, and who knows?
03:20It may not be too long before you get Brown and Tatum back on the court together.
03:25Are they back in business?
03:26I'll tell you a team that we thought would set the all-time NBA record in wins, and I guess theoretically they still can.
03:31The Thunder, 30-6 now.
03:32They're losing to the Phoenix Suns, 108-105 on the road.
03:36Booker had 24-6 and 9 in that victory.
03:38Look at the Suns, 12-5 at home and 21-14 on the season.
03:42Well, this was a sneaky revenge spot because, if you'll remember, the Thunder embarrassed the Suns in the NBA Cup and bounced them out.
03:52I think they won by 40, and it wasn't good, and they didn't slow it down either.
03:57Well, the Phoenix Suns had an opportunity last night to get a little revenge at home,
04:02and boy, oh boy, they did that.
04:05Booker with the game winner with, like, two-tenths of a second left, and that is how you get it done.
04:10Phoenix is sneaky good this year.
04:13They're not going to be rolling over for anybody at seven games over .500.
04:17Now, I got burned last week on one of these games where the Denver Nuggets were like,
04:20ah, come on, man, they're catching double digits here.
04:22I think it was the Cleveland Cavaliers game.
04:24How about the Philadelphia 76ers tonight?
04:25In Philadelphia, favored by double digits, minus 11.5 on the live number, and a total of 231.5.
04:33Obviously, the injuries for the Nuggets are piled up here, which includes maybe the best player in the world,
04:37Nikola Jokic, but the Sixers by double digits at home.
04:40And by the way, only 35% of the tickets coming in on those Sixers right now here.
04:44Can the Sixers win by double digits?
04:45I expect them to win, but the question is, can the Nuggets get another double-digit cover?
04:50Wow.
04:51I mean, Denver just lost yesterday to Brooklyn Nets, who can't score against anybody,
04:56but managed to drop 127 points on the Nuggets there, who have nobody.
05:01They don't have the Joker.
05:02I mean, they were hoping to get back, you know, Cameron Johnson.
05:07They were hoping to get Valen.
05:08No, didn't get any.
05:09You know, lost those guys, too.
05:11Aaron Gordon, Christian Braun.
05:13I mean, they got to work their way back in.
05:16It's just, it's going to be a rough stretch until we can at least get those guys, someone back up to speed.
05:23So, yeah, I get it.
05:24The 76ers could be a game that they run away with easily here.
05:29Warriors come out and play.
05:3210 o'clock.
05:33They're actually going to do that.
05:34The Warriors on the road to take on the Clippers at the Intuit Dome.
05:38Minus one at the opening number, Joe.
05:39Most outlets still sitting at minus one across the board as a favorite towards the Clippers and a 225 and a half price.
05:45The only question is to me is, I don't know if I want to take a side, but there's got to be the predictive markets to say,
05:49does Draymond Green get ejected again from this basketball game?
05:53Two of the oldest rosters in the NBA going at it.
05:58But both have actually been pretty good, right, since the Gut Warriors now have won six of their last eight.
06:04The Clippers got absolutely smoked by Jalen Brown and the Celtics their last game.
06:10But they've won six of seven.
06:12You got a healthy Kawhi Leonard.
06:15I think this is going to be an interesting game.
06:17The Clippers have done a really good job against the Golden State Warriors over the last couple of years.
06:22It feels like this one's going to come down to final possession.
06:25Probably more defense than offense here.
06:28Wouldn't shock me if this thing lands under the total either.
06:31Me, I'm going to go to the NBA tonight.
06:34And this is a team I've taken quite a bit so far because apparently nobody ever likes to bet on this team.
06:38It's the Atlanta Hawks take on the Toronto Raptors.
06:41Atlanta is on the road.
06:42The line opened up at four and a half.
06:44It now sits this morning at three and a half and a total of 235 and a half.
06:48But how about this caveat here?
06:50That line has dropped the point despite the Atlanta Hawks only having 29% of the total ticket count coming in.
06:56Something smells fishy.
06:57You don't want to take the Atlanta Hawks.
06:59But you know what?
07:00Your boy DRS is taking the Atlanta Hawks tonight with the three and a half.
07:04Heck, Joe, we don't have to win the game.
07:05Just stay within a bucket or two.
07:07Let's go.
07:07All right, let's do it.
07:09Hawks got to figure it out.
07:10Second go is a charm, right, against Toronto here.
07:14So, yeah, I like Atlanta.
07:17I also like Trey Young to be traded soon.
07:19That would be great, too, Atlanta.
07:20Just saying.
07:21Ah, moving on from Trey Young there.
07:23By the way, a lot of changes in Atlanta.
07:25Maybe the basketball team needs to go away with the football team, fire the GM, fire the head coach,
07:29restructure the organization, and maybe put a winner out there on the basketball court.
07:33There's no way there.
07:33I'm too late.
07:34Here's some more.
07:35I'm too late.
07:36You've got to go away with the football team.
07:37No.
07:37I'm too late.
07:37You're not so late.
07:38I'm too late.
07:38I'm too late.
07:39I'm too late.
07:39I'm too late.
07:40So, yeah.
07:41I'm too late.
