00:02The track may look small, but the stage is big.
00:05We think it's just a huge honour to represent Australia in the World Finals in Switzerland.
00:09These students are gearing up to be the next generation of engineers,
00:13taking their hydrogen-powered race car to Europe in June for a four-hour endurance race.
00:19It's always about pacing yourself. We don't want to be the fastest car out there,
00:23because the fastest cars always run out of fuel the quickest.
00:26They've been working towards the event for two years.
00:29Because Wyala was really going ahead with hydrogen,
00:32we took up that opportunity as a small school and entered two cars in.
00:39We've been practising all that time since then.
00:41The team missed out on qualifying for last year's world event.
00:44They were leading the SA race by a heavy margin,
00:47until, with 30 minutes left, they were disqualified over a technical fault.
00:52But luck was on their side this year,
00:54with event organisers giving them an invitation to Switzerland based on their 2025 result.
01:00I remember them saying that our lap times were around the greatest in the last World Finals,
01:05like comparing them to the lap times of the winners.
01:07We were elated and very proud of our team.
01:11It's definitely a big opportunity for all of us to prove Wyala's worth,
01:17Wyala's skills and community on a world stage.
01:21turning the corner into a big opportunity.
01:23.
01:24.
