00:00So welcome Farhana to INS. It is an absolute pleasure to have you with us on board today.
00:05Thank you so much. Thank you.
00:06So firstly, obviously I am here today to be part of the show.
00:12I really want to know that you are so excited for this entire show.
00:17Because when we talk about risks, we've seen you in another reality show.
00:23You're very synonymous to it.
00:24What is the show that you feel for this show?
00:27The show that you feel for this show, the fear, the full talk.
00:40So I wanted to see the big boss.
00:42So did you basically plan to see the world as well as it is a very clear force?
00:49So apparently, I was told that as much as the world has seen, it's a lot.
00:53So I had no intentions to show them any other side of my personality honestly but since Khatro is such
01:00a big show that it holds a big such a great audience and importance as well and this show we
01:09were watching TV in childhood, I think the last Khatro I have seen is when Akshay Kumar was hosting it
01:16years ago.
01:17So after that I didn't watch it but we knew that it was something very different and it actually holds
01:24the audience to the television and we are so interested in watching Khatroi Khiladi.
01:32But then when I came out of Bigg Boss, there was a lot going on in my life. I was
01:38in a transition, I had to coop up with a lot of things.
01:41So that time I was not giving a thought to it. I was like, no, I don't want to do
01:44any other reality show. Cut to when just I came out of a big reality show.
01:50So, but as eventually I got in about the season like how this season is different and what's going to
01:58happen like they're going to bring the ex contestants back and this is going to be altogether different season.
02:05See, in the wider category, we know that it's going to be starts like with electricity, electric current, water, height
02:14and extra everything.
02:17But you don't know what they're going to do with all these things, how they're going to make you shake
02:24your spine, how they're going to make you push yourself to limits, you never know.
02:30And even right now, when I feel like that, oh my God, I have to go inside the water, like
02:36I have to be head down in the water, I have to be underwater or I have to be inside
02:40in a very narrow space or I have to be among reptiles, I have to touch snakes, I have to
02:48be surrounded with insects and all.
02:51So, even thinking about that only gives me a, it gives me kind of a chills because kind of these
03:00fears every human being carries.
03:03So, it's part of like emotion, fear is kind of emotion, you cannot deny it, every human has, every person
03:08has, so do I.
03:10So, I have certain kind of fears but I think exploring yourself, your personality in such kind of a reality
03:17show is once in lifetime experience.
03:19So, then is when I thought that I must go ahead for this.
03:23Right, right.
03:24You know, as you mentioned that, after Big Boss, you were in the transition phase and all of that.
03:29A lot of people, whenever you interviewed them after Big Boss, right?
03:32And as much disturbing as you can see during fights and all, I'm sure you have to go more than
03:3610 times.
03:39Absolutely.
03:39Absolutely.
03:39And that is just one of the case but the judgment that comes across after you are out of the
03:43house,
03:43you will probably forget and everything will be normal.
03:46People don't forget, they don't forget.
03:48Right, right.
03:48So, when you are out of the show, right?
03:51Big Boss is like, we saw you working, of course.
03:54But I wanted to know that what was going on in your mind and the kind of stress and the
04:01kind of judgments.
04:02There was a lot of judgment on social media regarding people, right?
04:06And people still, even after so many months of difficult, they stand by, some few people stand by those judgments.
04:13When I interviewed contestants, they tell us how difficult it had been that they had to seek therapies as well.
04:19What was your case?
04:20How did you cope up with it?
04:22And what is your state of mind now?
04:23So, my case was completely different than others.
04:27Because when you talk about things like hatred, trolls, judgment and all, I use these things as fuel for my
04:34fires.
04:34Because when I was not even a big face, when I was not there in Big Boss, in Kashmir, I
04:41have already seen all these.
04:42I have seen this film before.
04:44I have seen all these things before.
04:45The trolling, character assassination, life threats, death threats and what not.
04:51So, somewhere my mind was already trained for this whole thing.
04:56Even I tell my friends, my family, sometimes we sit.
04:59So, I tell them, you know, I feel like God, first he prepared me for this stage, this position where
05:05I am today.
05:06Because he knew that it won't be easy for me to hold this position where today I am.
05:11That's why everything that happened with me, it happened for a reason.
05:14When I was in Kashmir, the backlash, everything, the troll and everything.
05:18That was my kind of training.
05:22God is like, I am going to put you at a place where you will require a lot of strength.
05:26And for that matter, I am going to put you through a very uncomfortable situation where you will gain it
05:30all.
05:30And then I am going to give you something very big.
05:32So, this is, I like this, I create my kind of such stories.
05:36And then I feel like, oh God, what a great planner you are.
05:41Yeah, absolutely.
05:42You know, when you talk about Khadroki Hiladi,
05:44a lot of people have said that our life is not a Khadra,
05:46but a fear of this particular thing and all of that.
05:49What is that particular thing that Farhana fears?
05:54So, some of my discovered fears are underwater, height, and some undiscovered and doubtful fears,
06:04which I don't know how I am going to react is when I will be put inside insects and I
06:12have to deal with animals.
06:13I will be given the current, electric current.
06:17I am sure it is going to be very, very much difficult.
06:19But I am not thinking about it.
06:22Because I am sure there are some fears which I know.
06:25I have these kind of phobias.
06:27There are some phobias which I will get to discover about myself during the show only.
06:31And then what?
06:33Right.
06:33So, I have kept my mind completely on a very open end.
06:36That whatever happens, simultaneously I will deal with it accordingly.
06:40Right.
06:40You know, when you talk about the boss,
06:42the mental strength is different.
06:43But when we talk about the physical strength,
06:46the mental strength and physical strength,
06:50unlike Big Boss, it is not very drama-centric show.
06:54It is that what you do with your peers,
06:56it will result.
06:58So, what kind of mental strength have you built around you right now?
07:03How and how?
07:05So, I feel the traits when we talk about psychological strength.
07:10The traits I have, I feel like those are enough to, you know,
07:14conquer any such challenge, stunt or even the show.
07:19I don't feel like I need to have any new trait or I need to develop any new traits
07:23so that I can do good in this show.
07:25Because more of, I feel like this is a physical,
07:28this is a psychological challenge more than physical challenge.
07:31Because if your mind is not calm and mind is not sorted in anything,
07:37your physical strength is of no use.
07:39So, it's all here.
07:41When we say, even in real life, we always say it's here.
07:44When we have even some of the psychological,
07:46some of the physical illness or physical, you know,
07:51incapability or anything, we feel like,
07:52we always say when the doctors say that this is all psychological.
07:55This is here.
07:56So, same goes when we are scared, when we are anxious.
07:59If say like your mind is not able to deal with anything calmly and it's anxious,
08:03your body will not be able to do anything
08:05because your mind is not, you know, generating the hormones that your body needs to,
08:10so that it will sufficiently react with the situation.
08:15So, it's all psychological before it's physical.
08:17Right, and you consider yourself absolutely mentally physical.
08:20Absolutely, 100%.
08:21I think if you ask me like just a month after I came out of Big Boss,
08:25so I would have said no because a lot was going on.
08:27But as of now, I think now since my things are sorted on due to the reason
08:32that my same things are sorted, I'm here.
08:34I'm working now.
08:35I have a house in Mumbai.
08:38So, I think it's all pretty sorted.
08:40Now, I can completely shift my focus to something else where I am going to win the show.
08:45Right.
08:46You know, now that you've entered the entertainment space and you've become really popular.
08:51Right.
08:51So, what happens is people tend to do a lot of many fictional Hollywood movies.
08:55movies.
08:56So, man, look at some skits.
08:58Yeah.
08:58Microdramas.
08:59Yeah.
08:59Television shows.
09:00So, because they feel that that gives a lot more instant fame comparatively to other reality shows.
09:05Also, when they talk about reality shows, it's about showing your real self.
09:08Which a lot many actors are very, very hesitant about.
09:11They don't want to jump into the film.
09:13Show their own.
09:13Show their own.
09:15You are probably one of the very few people who have back to back reality shows career despite the fact
09:19that you are famous now.
09:20Right.
09:20Big Boss time, you were famous but at a certain region.
09:24Now, you're internationally famous as well.
09:27So, do you not think that this is a kind of a risk?
09:29Because it also happens that you haven't seen the real self in Big Boss.
09:32So, what happens in such a different apartrum stance?
09:34Oh, not at all.
09:35You know what?
09:36This is the best part about my journey.
09:37That people have liked me for who I am.
09:40They have not liked me for some character I played in Big Boss.
09:43Why would I be worried?
09:44I'm not playing any character.
09:46This is the easy, this is the cakewalk for me.
09:48That what I have to do, I have to just be myself.
09:50Yeah.
09:50Like easy.
09:51Nothing else.
09:52I don't have to play any character.
09:53If I would have been playing a character in Big Boss, then it would have been a different scenario for
09:57me.
09:57A very difficult scenario.
09:59That I have played my character.
10:00Now I have to continue.
10:03So, that way it would have been a risk.
10:06But since people actually liked me for who I am, so it's that way a very cakewalk for me.
10:11Right.
10:11Also, I wanted to know that a lot of your Big Boss contemporaries have ventured into fictional
10:19and they are not basically, if you know who I'm talking about, they are not really wanting
10:24to get out of Big Boss space at all.
10:27If you see their videos and all that, it's full of you, it's full of other contestants.
10:32What do you want to play in this time?
10:34I have no time to speak anything about all these things.
10:38I don't even watch any of these things.
10:40I'm pretty busy into my things.
10:41A lot of good things are on my plate.
10:43A lot of better things are on my plate.
10:45So, I don't have time for all these things honestly.
10:48Right.
10:48Also, last question.
10:51Obviously, we will see you performing a lot when he stands and overcoming fears.
10:54I wanted to know that one khatra that you have taken in real life.
10:58I have taken a lot of khatras in my real life.
11:01Like that has changed your life for good, bad, I don't know, but it just changed.
11:06The big khatra is that I completely cut myself off from my like close blood relatives and to
11:15a limit where I told them you can publicly announce she doesn't belong to us.
11:19That was the biggest risk I took.
11:21Because then you know somewhere in your blood relation, if you're at your lowest, you have
11:29certain expectations from someone who belongs to your blood that maybe this person will someday
11:33come up and help me.
11:35Maybe he will only say a few words which will just make me feel good, will motivate me.
11:39But then at that point when you have actually no one around, it's just you and your mother,
11:43and you are cutting off everyone and you're completely clearly publicly telling them you
11:49don't belong to me, I don't belong to you.
11:51That is when you're actually getting yourself in solitude, completely getting yourself alone.
11:57But rather you choose like, okay, I'll be alone, but I won't give up on my dreams.
12:00I won't give up on whatever I will do.
12:02That was the biggest risk I ever took.
12:04You know, I'm sorry.
12:05I felt like asking for a girl, it is extremely difficult.
12:11We all are, you know, the same gender.
12:13We know how difficult is it to make your place anywhere in this world.
12:16Absolutely.
12:17Especially when you come to a place like Mumbai, where you know,
12:20you have to be open up honestly, and this industry is more open.
12:23So to make your identity, carve your identity, especially with no backing at all, especially
12:28also with the mother who's very naive and you know, she doesn't know this world.
12:33Absolutely.
12:33How difficult or easily?
12:35How difficult has this journey been for you?
12:37And when you look at yourself in the mirror today, what would you, what do you say?
12:40How do you see yourself in the mirror?
12:43Do you feel like that sense of pride?
12:45Yeah, absolutely.
12:46Every time I look at myself in the mirror or I just get to see anything that belongs to my
12:52Big Boss journey or I see the frames that are in my home that my fans have gifted me.
12:57I get that complete flashback and I see how my life has changed completely.
13:01But when, as you said, when it comes to a girl things, everything is very difficult and completely different.
13:06In the matter of male, there is a bit since, like, I belong to Kashmir.
13:12So I can tell you completely a different experience.
13:14So if you're a girl, you still, if you're a man, you still have a bit of acceptance in the
13:20society.
13:20People will be like, yeah, okay.
13:22But when it comes to girl, it doesn't matter.
13:24She's from high class, low class, lower middle class.
13:26She belongs to royalties, no matter what.
13:27She has to face challenges.
13:30And unfortunately, it starts from the family only.
13:33And even at a position where today I am, you never know.
13:37You continue to struggle there as well.
13:39Because as you said, our parents doesn't belong to this culture, this world.
13:43They don't, you know, you have to make them understand certain things.
13:47Maybe certain they are not okay with certain things they feel like otherwise.
13:52So that's the only kind of struggle you will have to deal with at this position.
13:56Inner struggle more than external.
13:58Yeah, absolutely.
13:58And that's the worst.
13:59Because you can ignore the external, whatever, the people who don't belong to you.
14:04You can ignore them completely.
14:04But how will you ignore the people you live with?
14:06What?
14:07Your parents, siblings or anyone.
14:09You know, unwillingly or willingly, you will have to face them.
14:13You have to give the justification.
14:15You have to give the answers.
14:17That's the worst.
14:18And you know, now that you are famous, do these people again try getting back to you or your mom?
14:23The people who...
14:23I am completely out of their reach now.
14:27Since a lot of people are there who are trying, but now I am out of their reach.
14:33Thank you so much for your time.
14:34Thank you so much.
