00:03Hello, Mr Jones.
00:04Mr Evans.
00:05What can I do for you?
00:07I'll just come round for a chat about coming on your show.
00:09Cup of tea?
00:10Beautiful.
00:19Now, I don't want no jokes about me having been acting for years as a footballer every Saturday afternoon.
00:25Okay?
00:25Okay, Mr Jones.
00:27I don't want no questions about my personal life.
00:30This is business, not personal.
00:32Okay, Mr Jones.
00:57Thank you, Mr Jones.
01:04Hey, everyone.
01:05Happy Friday.
01:06Thanks so much for tuning in.
01:08Coming up on tonight's TFI Unplugged, Chris O'Dowd is going to be here.
01:11Kelly Riley and Cole Hauser.
01:13That's Beth and Rick from Yellowstone.
01:15But Bill Radley is playing live.
01:17And from Location, Location, Location, Kirstie and Phil.
01:21But first, it's Will.
01:34Hey, Will.
01:35Oh, what?
01:38No.
01:40I haven't got time for that.
01:42Well, ignore this.
01:42What news?
01:43Chris, we have a brand new item.
01:45Oh.
01:47You know everyone's been going on about Saturday Night Live.
01:50Indeed they have.
01:51So, what about Friday Night's Still Alive?
01:56Oh.
01:57You mean Nights with a K who are still alive on a Friday?
02:01Correct.
02:02I love it.
02:03Do we have any?
02:04Chris, we have three tonight alone.
02:06No way.
02:07What?
02:08We have, drum roll please.
02:13Sir Rod Stewart.
02:15Okay.
02:16Coming up, Sir Rod Stewart.
02:17We have, Sir Tom Jones.
02:22Tom Jones coming up.
02:26But our first ever Night's Still Alive on a Friday is Sir Elton John.
02:34Yeah!
02:35CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
02:57Elton John, everybody, for everything!
02:59CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
03:01So, Elton...
03:02Oh, here we go, straightaway.
03:04Continuity.
03:05OK, tell us.
03:06That's one of the letters I got today.
03:07OK, all right.
03:08OK, straightaway, yeah?
03:09Shall I set it up in any way?
03:10Yes, that's right.
03:11OK, a letter that Elton received today.
03:12Yes.
03:13OK.
03:13Dear Elton, I think it was very brave of you to sing the new version of Candle in the Wind,
03:17as it would bring a tear to a glass eye, and I should know as my gran has a glass
03:21eye,
03:21from Raymond Craig, age 11, from Scotland.
03:24LAUGHTER
03:26How many letters like this have you had?
03:28Well, 15 from People With Glass Eyes.
03:30LAUGHTER
03:31Oh, I mean, tonnes.
03:33What's it been like over the last seven days, the reaction to what's going on as far
03:37as you're concerned?
03:38It's been a madhouse, really.
03:40Because you went to America, didn't you?
03:41I went to America Monday because I had to do a memorial concert, a memorial service for
03:45Gianni Versace, so I had to sing at that as well.
03:46Right.
03:47What did you sing there?
03:48I did a song called Live Like Horses, and then I went to Orlando and we played tennis
03:52with Pete Sampras for the AIDS Foundation, and I came back yesterday.
03:55And was, I mean, I know you did a few press conferences there and you chatted to a few
03:58people.
03:58I just did one.
03:59I just did an interview at the press conference, the tennis thing, yeah.
04:01Right.
04:02And once again, did the Diana thing take that up?
04:04Well, we, not really.
04:06You know, we said no questions, really, because I think, you know, the less said about it from
04:09my point of view is the better.
04:10I mean, I played at the service and it was probably the most, the biggest honor I've ever
04:13received in my life to be invited to the funeral, let alone sing at it.
04:17And...
04:17Was it the most important performance of your life, would you say?
04:20Yeah.
04:21Absolutely.
04:21Because, you know, with all those people watching and for it, for her being a friend,
04:25I wanted to sing it properly and without breaking down.
04:28And towards the end, at the beginning of the third verse, my voice cracked a little bit and
04:31I just thought, oh God, I'm going to lose it.
04:33And I didn't.
04:34And...
04:34How did you stop yourself from losing it?
04:36Because, I mean, a lot of people...
04:38Just closing my eyes.
04:38Have you seen my right eyebrow going up and down?
04:40Yeah.
04:40Yeah.
04:42What's that all about?
04:44Have you ever done that before or since?
04:45No, no, I can't do it normally.
04:46I mean, what's going on here?
04:48You look like Roger Moore for a while.
04:49Yes, I got it from him, yes.
04:50Now, tell us a story, because there's a story behind how the song happened.
04:53Apparently, you went straight from Westminster Abbey and recorded it.
04:55Tell us, tell us everything.
04:56I went from Westminster Abbey back home because George Michael and David, my partner, was with
05:00me with George Michael.
05:01We went and had a nice ham roll.
05:05That's one does.
05:06Because you didn't know what else to do, didn't you?
05:07No, no.
05:08Well, you know, if you've got money, you have to spend it, don't you?
05:20What else do you do?
05:22I'm sorry.
05:23And then I went round the corner to Townhouse Studios in the Goldhawk Road and cut the track,
05:29Piano and Voice Live, did two takes.
05:30George Martin produced it for me.
05:32And then he put, when I went home to sort of collapse, he put a string quartet and woodwind
05:36on it.
05:36And it's coming out tomorrow.
05:38So the whole process is taking a week, really.
05:39Okay, and all the artwork.
05:40I've got it here.
05:40I've got it here.
05:41I just want to share it.
05:42Because all the artwork was done as well, wasn't it?
05:43You approved it in about 14 hours.
05:45And the great thing about it was, and I think the government's done a great job since they've
05:48been in, but the Chancellor rang me and said that he would personally make sure that all
05:53the VAT that's taken from the record will be given back to the charity.
05:56So, yeah, it's very good.
05:58Okay.
05:59Now, okay, so I'll show it tomorrow.
06:02We know it's going to be fantastic.
06:04I believe at five o'clock today there was a worldwide radio play of it as well.
06:07Do you know about this?
06:08Apparently so, yeah.
06:09Five o'clock, apparently, all the radio stations in the world played this song at five o'clock.
06:13They'll buy it in the next six weeks if they ever hear this song.
06:18See, Elton, you're the most modest man in the world, because I just don't think that's
06:21going to happen.
06:21But there's a story about the video.
06:23Yeah.
06:23Are you angry about the video?
06:25About the, um...
06:26About the selling of the video?
06:27I don't really know too much about it.
06:29I know that they wanted to put the video of the service out, and they couldn't guarantee
06:32that all the money would go to her foundation, so I said no.
06:35I mean, especially the...
06:36Yeah.
06:39And I know that ITV, they were three pounds from each video.
06:43was going to the foundation, but that's not enough.
06:46These videos were £12.99.
06:48And they said, well, you know, they're £12.99 and we'll give three pounds to the
06:50downer thing.
06:51And you said, no, give it all.
06:52It's all or nothing.
06:53Yeah.
06:53So I said no.
06:54So if people buy the video, they won't see me on it.
06:56So there you go.
06:57Okay.
06:57Well done.
06:58If they were to reinstate you and give it all to the fund, you'd do it.
07:01No problem.
07:01Probably, yeah.
07:02Okay.
07:02Excellent.
07:04So that's all over now.
07:05Yeah.
07:07And is it a relief?
07:08It is, yeah.
07:09I mean...
07:10Did I hear a rumour that, and this is not meant to be flippant, but did I hear a rumour
07:14that Mother Tracer obviously passed away as well.
07:16Is it true that her government called you up and asked you to do a tribute song?
07:19Someone from Ghana called the office.
07:20Can you believe this?
07:22Who is...
07:22My manager's Scottish, and this guy from Ghana, the Ghanaian Embassy, called up and said,
07:27you know, oh, very well, the Prime Minister of Ghana is Scottish too.
07:30Which...
07:31Hello.
07:32Is that true?
07:33That's Elvis Presley and the Prime Minister of Ghana in like three months.
07:38And of course Scotland's, you know, getting its own vote now.
07:40So Scotland's obviously the place to be.
07:41Even in Ghana.
07:43Yes!
07:43But have you thought about a tribute song to Mother Teresa?
07:46I have thought about it, but no.
07:47And you haven't come up with any lyrics or anything like that?
07:51No.
07:51Shush.
07:52Alright.
07:53Now, you're quite a feisty guy.
07:54I watched...
07:56Here we go.
07:57Steady on, steady on.
07:58This is what we want.
07:58Okay.
07:59I'm one of the feist girls.
08:01Okay.
08:04I watched Tantrums and Tiaras again this week.
08:06Yes.
08:07Everybody was saying here that you behave exactly the same.
08:10Well, I was just going to tell you, you like a row, I like a row, we both like a
08:14row.
08:14Right.
08:15Now, today I had a row about your row.
08:17You did?
08:18Yeah.
08:18Because I wanted to show the clip on Tantrums and Tiaras where you really lose it in a New
08:22York video shoot.
08:23Yeah.
08:23I mean, it's just totally unjustified, which is the best one to have, the really unjustified
08:28one.
08:28That's the one I'm renowned for.
08:30Yeah.
08:30And they wouldn't let me show it because they said it was gratuitous swearing.
08:34It was.
08:34Yeah.
08:35But it wouldn't have been gratuitous because of the context of the question.
08:37Can't you bleep it?
08:38We did bleep it.
08:39But there's not much left.
08:41No, no.
08:42Beatles about can do it.
08:43We can't.
08:44What's the country coming to?
08:45I've got no idea.
08:46I don't know.
08:46Now, you've earned a few quid.
08:47Yes, I have.
08:48How much do you think you've spent?
08:49Oh, if I had a penny for every penny I've spent, I'd be very rich by now.
08:54Could you put a ballpark figure on it?
08:56A ballpark figure?
08:57Yeah, you know.
08:59I don't know.
08:59I mean.
09:00Is it more than 20 million?
09:02Less, you know, what is it?
09:02Oh, it's more than 20 million.
09:03Whoa!
09:05Let's keep going higher, what is it, 30 million?
09:09More than that.
09:09Honestly?
09:10Yeah.
09:11Jesus.
09:13And that's just the drugs.
09:19Sir Elton John are first of our Friday nights still alive.
09:26Nights for the case, the live on a Friday.
09:27Still funny.
09:29Just about.
09:31And by the way, there is more than a rumour that we're going to be doing this show from
09:36Elton John's house pretty soon.
09:37Whoa!
09:39Come up first, it's World Pop Genius!
09:45All right, great to help up genius.
09:47What do we have here?
09:48I am going to get that olive into that glass without touching it with my hands.
09:52Come on, he does!
09:53Come on!
09:54Liar!
09:55You're a liar!
09:56No way!
09:57Liar!
09:58He's a fraud!
09:59He's a liar!
10:00He's a liar!
10:00He's a liar!
10:01Get out of town!
10:02Liar!
10:03Liar!
10:04Test the truth!
10:04He's a liar!
10:06He's a liar!
10:06He's a liar!
10:08He's a liar!
10:18He's a liar!
10:18Ohhhh!
10:19No way!
10:20No way no way!
10:22Ohhhh!
10:24Ok.
10:24Unless you see that again in slow mo.
10:26Can't be done!
10:27Can't be done?
10:29Can't be done.
10:29Can't be done!
10:29Drum roll please.
10:46Oh, he's going again.
10:49Oh, he's going again.
11:01All right, big guest time now.
11:03He's starring in the new You Done It, The Sheep Detectives,
11:07which hits cinemas on Friday.
11:08So make some noise and make it loud for Chris O'Donnell.
11:16Yes, Chris.
11:17Yes.
11:20Lovely to see you.
11:22Thanks, guys.
11:23Oh, my God.
11:24Now.
11:25Oh, that was from the heart.
11:26Oh, it was from the heart.
11:27From every one of them.
11:28Just love me.
11:30All right.
11:31OK.
11:32Right, The Sheep Detectives cinemas this Friday, 8th of May,
11:35Motorhead Day.
11:36The 8th of May.
11:37That's very good.
11:38I haven't seen that one before.
11:40The Sheep Detectives, my kids and I, we watched it yesterday.
11:43We loved it.
11:43All right.
11:44Good.
11:44The best way to describe it is Babe meets Knives Out.
11:47That's good.
11:47Is that all right?
11:48You happy with that?
11:48I feel like animation-wise, that's kind of the vibe.
11:50It's like live action, but then the sheep look like normal sheep, but talk.
11:55Yeah.
11:56I hope this isn't too much tech speak.
11:58Just shout out human or sheep in the film, right?
12:01Okey-doke.
12:01Hugh Jackman.
12:02Human.
12:02Human.
12:03Shepherd.
12:04Shepherd.
12:05Yeah.
12:05Victim.
12:06Yeah, you don't have to say it's fine.
12:08Emma Thompson.
12:09Is a human person.
12:10Human.
12:11She does it better than anyone.
12:12She's so good at human.
12:14Patrick Stewart.
12:15Patrick Stewart is a sheep.
12:17Sheep.
12:19The steward sheep, that's right.
12:21Such a good TFI game, sheep.
12:24People just sing in.
12:25What do you mean Patrick Stewart is a sheep?
12:26Okay, well, there's more to go.
12:28Brian Cranston.
12:29Sheep.
12:30Sheep.
12:32Brett Goldstein.
12:33Brett Goldstein is a two sheep.
12:35Two sheep.
12:37I know.
12:39How exciting is that?
12:40All the money.
12:40That's right.
12:41Yeah, and I so want to say what his twin sheep get up to, but I can't because that really
12:47is a spoiler.
12:47Is it?
12:50Oh, all the sex stuff.
12:56Oh, my God.
12:57What's the similar thing that you would say normally when you watch one of your films about you?
13:01Well, do you know what?
13:02It's not even necessarily like it's a performance thing.
13:04Right.
13:05It would be something more like, oh, God, why is my posture always that bad?
13:08A little bit like this.
13:09It's like Hunchback of Notre Dame and through every film.
13:12Right.
13:12I'm like, God, even this guy is out of shape.
13:16Sheep out of shape.
13:17The other big news in your house, I would imagine, is the fact that Dad signed up to be in
13:21Soccer Aid.
13:22Oh, God.
13:24Unbelievable.
13:24Yeah, it is unbelievable.
13:26Right.
13:26So you've been brought out of the pen to play a sheep and you've been brought off the bench to
13:29actually play in this football match.
13:31I'm going to do it.
13:31I'm going to do it.
13:32I'm excited.
13:33You've played the wise card because you're going in goal.
13:35I'm going in goal.
13:36That's a very wise thing to do.
13:37But I'll go in goal after Edwin van de Zhaar has just been in goal.
13:41That's fair enough.
13:43I know, but I am excited.
13:45I kind of mentioned it to Dawn at breakfast.
13:47I was like, oh, Soccer Aid were on.
13:48And then the 11-year-old was like, oh, that's great.
13:50You're going to do that.
13:51Yeah, yeah.
13:52Well, I haven't even read the thing.
13:54And he's like, well, you have to do it.
13:55Okay.
13:55So he said no to traitors then.
13:58He said no to traitors.
14:02Because clearly that's what's going on.
14:04No, it's not.
14:04In the O'Dowd household.
14:05It's really not.
14:06It's really not.
14:06I'm going to mess it.
14:09But I am the coach of the 11-year-old soccer team, you see.
14:11Well, I know.
14:12So now I'm entrenched in that world.
14:14I can't suddenly be, oh, but not for me.
14:16See, but it's interesting.
14:17Because I know that you very cleverly got yourself out of the parents' WhatsApp group at school.
14:22Look, WhatsApp groups for parents, it's a very dark road.
14:26And so I thought, okay, I need out of this.
14:29So I started, when we would have like some kind of event, some kind of school event,
14:34and everybody would be post-morteming it the next day on the WhatsApp group,
14:38I would chime in at the very end with something like,
14:42hey, did anybody find my other shoe?
14:45And then nobody would kind of respond.
14:48And then I'd keep asking.
14:50And then you realise that nobody wants you to do anything of a responsible nature
14:55if they think you only have one shoe.
14:57And so they stop including you and think.
15:00Chris, is there anything else you'd like to say?
15:02No, but it's been lovely being here.
15:06This really brings me back, honestly.
15:08This kind, this brings me back.
15:09I would have been 15, 16 when you were right.
15:13It was great, great crack.
15:14I was thinking about you on the way in today.
15:16Thinking about, why is he getting up to come and see us?
15:18I think I'm mostly here because Hugh Jackman is on Broadway.
15:21Is that what it is?
15:24See, but we'd rather have Chris O'Dowd.
15:28Let's hear it with Chris O'Dowd, yeah!
15:33Yeah, I told him, if it wasn't for me,
15:35they'd have no way to edit these bits together.
15:38It's all filmed on different days.
15:41All right, coming up, we have Sir Tom Jones.
15:45We have Sir Rod Stewart.
15:49And the other side's back again.
15:50He's Elton John again.
15:59He's Elton John again.
16:21He's Elton John again.
16:22You're a little late.
16:25I'm already torn.
16:34Come on!
16:38Natalie and Brillian, how good was that performance?
16:40She the best.
16:41Absolutely awesome.
16:41That is Torn from 1997.
16:43Ready to play?
16:44Absolutely.
16:45OK, TFI Trumps, here we go.
16:46Now it's round three.
16:48I'm going to go for the woman with the very long tongue.
16:54It's pretty good, but I have against that.
16:56I've got Jon Bon Jovi almost sets fire to Chris.
17:04We all want to see that.
17:05All right, fun factor for mine, 82.
17:0997.
17:13Is it going to work?
17:14Oh!
17:19OK, number two.
17:20Chris, I have the dog that looks like Jack Nicholson.
17:23Oh!
17:25I've got Jon Cleeds reads a book in a variety of funny voices.
17:28Oh!
17:30Who's that again?
17:31Jon Cleeds reads a book in a variety of funny voices.
17:34Fun factor, 82.
17:36Ah, 78.
17:39Mark woke first, perhaps because he was in a strange bed.
17:44He turned over and looked at Elizabeth.
17:46She never wore makeup, and she was just as beautiful in the morning
17:51as she was on the side of her dinner table.
17:55Her dark hair curled in towards the chef and her in his cold dress up.
18:01Ah, gym lads, you see, go brush your teeth.
18:04What a romantic way to start the day, he said, stroking his parrot.
18:11That'll lose, Jon, no, that'll lose, that'll lose.
18:13Can we have a ding, ding, ding, ding, ding?

21:05nice of you
21:05and then um i come back later this year to do a tour i do from the end of november
21:10uh through
21:11december yeah so we'll do about a month so so basically if people want to spend like their
21:16christmas office party at a tom jones concert they can that's right there can't be any better way to
21:21spend your christmas off there's either karaoke or there's tom jones at the albert hall

21:29because i know you need the money trying to get as many plugs in as possible because i know you
21:33need them thank you very much now do you know what do you know what tom was got a question
21:36for
21:37you do you know what tom was tom is a lot of things but do you know what he was
21:41do you know
21:42what he was do you know what you were what was i you were a friend of elvis presley's yeah
21:51i mean you know how did that happen well i met him in uh 65 when i when i went
21:57to los angeles
21:58yeah i went to paramount studios to do um to talk about a song for a movie and elvis was
22:04there
22:04at the time and um uh the fellow that i went with he said you know elvis presley's gonna be
22:09at
22:09paramount studios and uh he'd like to meet you so i was knocked sideways because uh growing up in the
22:1650s i was a teenager in the 50s elvis you know uh was the one so um i met him
22:21on on on the set
22:23in paramount and and i had a single out at the time called with these hands it was a ballad
22:27it was my third record that's i only had three singles out in 65 and when elvis was walking
22:33towards me he was singing with these hands you're joking honestly how did you feel that that might
22:38was tremendous it was it was the other words did i know that he knew oh yeah he knew the
22:42words sure
22:43and is that what he said when when he met me he said how the hell do you sing like
22:46that
22:47and i said well you were partly to blame because you know listening listening to blame listening to
22:51you well of course if you want to call it how close were you in the end were you very
22:54close yeah we got
22:55very close yeah is it true that he used to use um delilah to warm up yes he did yeah
22:59yeah he said if he
23:00could if he could sing along with with my recording of delilah then he knew that he was ready for
23:05for the
23:05show so um but when i first met him he had bought the three as i said i only had
23:10three singles out
23:11it's not unusual what's the pussycat with his hands and he had all three and i had one album
23:16and he had that so it was um how did he find out about you where did he discover you
23:20well yeah on
23:21the radio when when they started playing it's not unusual was the first one so they it was a big
23:25hit
23:25in in the states you know as well as here you know there's all those theories about the fact that
23:29he's not dead and he's spotted in a book he's in grimsby and all that i mean do you know
23:34what it can
23:34you can you sort of enlighten us is he still around is he hiding in your cupboard does he go
23:37to
23:37save the summer he's he's dead he's gone yeah he's gone but they say the legend lives on well
23:42definitely i mean it's do you do a little elvis don't do i do elvis do you do a little
23:47bit well
23:47no i i mean i used to when i started singing you know i mean everybody did a bit of
23:59elvis i think
23:59you could just snore your lip and do the whole little bit of the i got i got the hand
24:05thing
24:05i'll put a hop of this one for the gold sure see i went out of the sport he always
24:09did this with his
24:10did he yeah like that fantastic hey well you know um your voice is so strong yeah so did you
24:17ever
24:18worry that one morning you're going to wake up and it's just going to disappear because you never
24:21give it 90 you always give it 110 don't you yeah i give it as much as i possibly can
24:25well when i got up
24:25this morning i thought oh you know because this is it this is the day well not really the day
24:29but
24:29um you know with this cold it's it's sort of taking the edge off a little bit frank sinatra
24:33once frank sinatra ladies elvis presley and frank sinatra frank sinatra once warned you to take it
24:38easy didn't he yes he did what did he say well he said if you if you carry on singing
24:42like like you
24:43are yeah you won't be able to talk in about 10 years and when was that oh that's 30 years
24:51all right our next guests are the king and queen of the ranch and the king and queen of our
24:56hearts

25:22it's very it's very yee-haw how are you kelly i'm good how are you cole good good oh my
25:28gosh
25:28some people haven't seen yellowstone why were you born no um but for those of us who have
25:36it's it's one of the greatest tv shows ever it's just amazing the fact that we're starting again
25:41in a completely different place new world new characters new everything felt like it's a gift
25:46we're actors we get want to go to work and do stuff that we love and we do as cole
25:51yeah when she's
25:52giving it all the best right yeah what's it like what's it like to face that well i have three
25:58sisters
26:00she's like i've told her this for a very long time i have uh three very mean sisters at times
26:05right and they uh they go off and they they get crazy and i usually just smile at them
26:09yeah and usually it's like we call it in america's you know water off a duck's ass
26:13yeah yeah because we say water off a duck's back not anymore we don't not anymore um so so as
26:21an
26:21ensemble you know and the the old sort of leader of the guard was was kevin costner um you two
26:27are now
26:27in the middle uh but of course very quickly in episode one not only do we have beth and rip
26:32back
26:32but we have added ed harris and annette benning yeah i couldn't believe we waited to do that
26:43listen for me you know ed and annette i've been watching since i was a young boy yeah so to
26:47have
26:47them on the show at first for me was i think i said this the other day to kelly there
26:52was this bar
26:53scene where he's there and she walks me in and there's that hair sitting at the bar and i'm thinking
26:58this is my first scene with ed harris and i was like wow this is amazing he is the coolest
27:02person
27:02i think i've ever met he is he's very just well he is he has to be a badass and
27:07annette has to be a
27:07badass and of course they are and they can do it can't they of course they can do and i
27:11don't mean
27:11that in any kind of sort of facetious way no but um and then you as little kelly riley yeah
27:17but big
27:17beth dutton yeah you have to go and slug it out line for line very early on with annette benning
27:24the new rival feudal ranch owner she is so excited i'm speaking fluent yellowstone you are sorry
27:31i love it i can only apologize no she is she is my worthy adversary and she is so fun
27:37to work with
27:38because she's naughty and she's playful and she's she's always flirting with him and every scene she's
27:42with them in and she's just it's just delicious oh how much of rip does your husband in real life
27:47have about him does he have any rip in him oh yeah i mean yeah i mean he's man
27:51oh he's a man yeah he's my man he's an american man yeah he's an american he's a he's quiet
27:58you know but he's you know there there's definitely you know there's definitely a crossover
28:04kyle's kyle's the man okay and you met him in texas i did actually but he wasn't from texas you
28:10just thought he must be because he's he's in texas you have done your research my goodness i thought he
28:15was i yeah i met him at his brother's wedding i was a plus one of didn't know anybody i
28:19basically
28:19gate crashed a wedding and fell in love with the best man right your honeymoon was very yellow
28:25stoney yeah it was we went to montana we were literally at a ranch i wanted to go riding in
28:29montana uh did you know this this is like 2012 and it was over the bitter room yeah too much
28:36um but
28:37yeah so uh it was literally and i remember saying to kyle i got god i wouldn't it be amazing
28:42to
28:43come to work in a place like this i think i was working at the time in a back lot
28:47in brooklyn and
28:47it's not the same i said wouldn't it be great to go to work in such beautiful nature and
28:53pretty cool yeah and didn't you ride for hours and hours through montana yeah yeah and this is so
28:58this was five years before yellowstone how mad is that it's quite mad it's crazy isn't it it is
29:03it is well thanks for coming here thanks for talking to us it's kelly it's cole
29:07israeli it's rick it's dutton ranch on paramount plus all right now here's for tom jones
29:19it's not unusual you want to be loved by anyone it's not unusual you want to have fun with anyone
29:30when i see you having a box with anyone
29:35it's not unusual it's not unusual to be sad with anyone
29:43and if i ever find that you've changed at any time
29:48it's not unusual to find that i'm in love with you
29:56tom jones there singing the punchline to one of my favorite jokes
29:59both close to the doctors he says doctor doctor i keep feeling like tom jones he says
30:03it's not unusual
30:08oh this is what they want right if you're in real estate a real estate or a property pickle
30:13our next guests are the legendary tv duo to call location location location returns
30:19for its 44th series on channel 4 8pm on wednesday so let's have a chill with the tiny brill
30:26film kirsty and phil
30:42oh my gosh how are you good i'm in shock because i had no idea that phil hadn't been on
30:47with
30:47you before and he's such a fan every single day and he's a real proper fan you've probably never
30:57had such a big fan i prefer listening to it than being on it yeah let's try and change that
31:02i've
31:02never had a fan not a proper fan congratulations i mean come on did you have any idea when you
31:08made that did you have a pilot for location location it was non-transmissible and it was
31:12made 26 27 years ago down in rye yeah yeah yeah we thought it would be an entertaining way to
31:18spend
31:18a weekend little was going to happen from it but it'd be quite interesting to see how a television
31:22program got made and did you have the chemistry test the famous tv chemistry test yes there was
31:27an italian girl with amazing legs the phil wanted it to be her and um and but they picked me
31:34they were
31:34going to find is that a nervous sip you're taking um but we're very upset we have a complaint to
31:41make
31:42come on what we wanted to meet beth right gemma and and and and that she went in the lift
31:48in the
31:48other direction and we were waiting at the bottom of the lift thinking that we would well you could
31:51have come in earlier we should i know oh no we couldn't come in earlier because phil was late
31:55so all day long i i'm an estate agent so i didn't get to meet beth because phil was late
32:05and he's
32:05going to suffer for it all day okay can we talk about one other thing we can talk about loads
32:10of
32:10things it's an interview it's chris's show it's chris's show which is why i'm asking permission
32:15and please no phil you see he doesn't usually ask for permission so um the tfi 10 years ago yes
32:22yes when amanda siegfried and i were behind the bar yes yes in the hottest building that was ever
32:27pretty hot i mean it was absolutely extraordinary that night that was the night of my life i ended up
32:34in um ricky wilson's flat with alex jones and uh and i think will was with us maybe
32:43wasn't there a missing dog there was a missing dog cathy freud's dog got went missing and we were
32:48all looking for it thank you for mentioning that yes and and and i realized when i got home at
32:54what
32:54time uh 6 30 a.m you left early yes it made me realize that i while i absolutely loved
33:04being in
33:04telly showbiz was not for me i mean when when when the at the point uh where we got to
33:12ricky's flat i mean
33:12it was it was just extraordinary there was so much of that night were you part had you gone home
33:18when we were looking for the dog yes i had yes but here's the thing at the time i live
33:22around the
33:23corner and i could hear you looking for the dog honestly and so could the rest of primrose yes yes
33:30and by the way they found the dog yes guess what's just happened no kelly riley is listening to the
33:37show she's so she's so desperate to talk to you she's phoned in honestly do you want to talk to
33:43bear
33:44i'm so thrilled to hear that that i just um if these headphones will reach um if we swap if
33:49we swap
33:49places they will yeah yeah absolutely 100 yeah i've gone scarlet in the face yeah go on so excited
33:57so you're on with kelly riley kelly i'm so sorry that i didn't get to meet you i was waiting
34:01at
34:01the bottom of the lift and i can't believe phil was late
34:09kelly surprisingly i can believe phil was late it happens a lot can you just stop beating up on phil
34:14for heaven's sake um i just have to congratulate you on being amazing it's such a complex role
34:22and you do it so brilliantly and it is that's so kind of you it's just fantastic i wanted to
34:28meet
34:28you i'm a big lucky oh phil just come oh now it is your fault oh well i'm just so
34:37touched that
34:38you called in and anyway i'll let you go have a lovely day that's best
34:44all right you come on come on back what are you doing you okay yeah i just go every time
34:53you come
34:53and see i buy something e-pop well no one time i came in you had idris elba in the
34:58studio i lost
34:59the power of speech oh brilliant kirstie and phil you got kirstie on the front of kelly because
35:06kelly was on with cole so that's beth and rip one tv couple and then you got kirstie phil two
35:10tv
35:11couples in a moment i'm going to be with share share's going to be on the show as our third
35:15couple
35:16but before all that some more tfi gold here we are with rod stewart
35:45oh
35:45ruddy ruddy ruddy ruddy ruddy
35:53we're going to get some air conditioning so rod yeah football star or rock star
35:59probably rock star because i'd have been finished as a footballer at 53
36:02at 53 yeah but you know i still play i still play a great deal and you play very well
36:07i do
36:07you played with me once i played terribly you got the real night with me didn't you that day
36:11well it always go for the obvious pass but you tried the loft one about 20 yards it finished up
36:16in the car park no i know i know and you'd have done something with it i didn't give it
36:19to you
36:19but you had trials for brentford didn't you yeah a long time ago did you play for brentford
36:23reserves yeah that's about as close as i got but how passionate are you about football if you're not
36:27doing your music is that the number one thing obviously apart from rachel yeah the wife does
36:30uh take the number one spot but uh yeah it is it's uh it is goalie you mean no no
36:36she's
36:38she actually doesn't come and watch me play anymore she's bored with it yeah she's seen me play
36:42once and that was it i can't believe you're 53 years old i didn't know that so when we played
36:49it at wembley together afterwards you you you were in the in the changing rooms and you know
36:52you got your hair dryer and you did all the thing like you do after wembley and you bent
36:56over so it goes all up for like you do it you're gonna get it up right there and we're
37:00all that
37:00no full patches there we couldn't believe it and you also get the face cream going which
37:04is important yeah all of you like boys you know why don't we use it why do we all look
37:11craggy the lads no one looks good here tonight nice lighting so you've got your own football
37:15even teddy looks good teddy looks great so you've got your own football pitch in your garden yeah
37:21yeah how often do you play on your football pitch have you got a team yeah we've got a team
37:24a lot
37:24of really good players actually good quality but the pitch is just fabulous it's the same size as
37:29wembley and it's dead flat and if you can't play on that you can't play anywhere well i still
37:33probably wouldn't be able to plan now you've got come down and play i mean we had liverpool
37:36come down and try newcastle have been down in your back garden yeah and i'm never there because i'm
37:40in the states you know so let's let me get this right so you see you can collect so you're
37:44a
37:44worldwide rock star you're married to rachel hunter and you've got a football pitch in your own back
37:48garden it's pretty good yeah it's not bad is it at all but now and again things do come around
37:52the
37:53corner that you don't expect and you have to deal with them like a trolley bus like a trolley
37:57bus or like last night which was it which was a bit of a night wasn't it just a wonderful
38:01night i love that guy so much so tell everybody why i didn't love him at wembley when he scored
38:05that goal against scotland but as a human being they don't come better are you talking about paul
38:09gascoigne no so look you're looking forward to um to tomorrow uh what the uh the f8 cup no the
38:18scottish cup yeah i mean i'm a celtic man so of course i want to see rangers get beat but
38:26you've
38:26sorted yourself out already because you've won the you've won the um premiership yeah and the coca-cola so
38:30we had two trophies this year we lose our manager so you're all about up there so so i what
38:34is the
38:34scottish thing about you because i'm not i'm not a great historian as far as this is concerned you
38:37are absolutely scottish no no no no no do i sound scottish not at all my dad's was a scott
38:43he's gone
38:43upstairs now to the big football stadium in the world in the sky and uh he always told me and
38:48my two
38:49brothers everything about scottish football from george young billy liddle all the great players and it
38:53just just goes through our blood we just believe scottish football is fabulous so you are genuine genuinely we'd
38:59win anything the scottish national team it's just we're proud of ourselves do you think ali mccoy should
39:03be in the scottish side yes absolutely and why isn't he in the scottish side absolutely because we're
39:07we're lacking strikers as it is you know and i think like gaza is to the english team he is
39:12to the scots
39:13he just rallies the guys up winds them up and they go out and play better now we've got to
39:16talk we've got
39:17to talk a bit about your music i can talk about about football about football all night and you've got
39:21lots of fans teddy sharing was a massive fan of your music and you as a guy and you've got
39:25a brilliant new
39:26album out i just want to play a bit of your new song now can i just ask you why
39:28you didn't sing
39:29this song why don't you sing for us tonight on the show oh i think there's been a bit of
39:32a
39:32with the uh the record label i'd have done it you know that well we wanted you to do it
39:36yeah because
39:36you didn't think i wanted to do you to sing i'd love to that's a great good stage down there
39:40eat
39:41look can you ask him to sing for your mom for my mom my mom's here tonight right
39:59is it true is it true that you sang to gaza's dad down the phone last night yeah i did
40:02he was he was
40:04waiting to go to bed he said i'm gonna get me leg over yeah i kept him up so you
40:09know um maggie may
40:10classic song yeah my mom's name is minnie begins with an m i've been changed the words can you do
40:15a little bit for us yeah everyone cheers man i think i got something to say to you
40:23it's late september and i really should be back at school i know i keep you amused
40:31but i feel i'm being used oh many i wished i'd never seen your face yeah
40:43you led me away from home cause you didn't wanna be alone you stole my heart
40:53and that's a pain i can do without do you know what she loved that
41:09it's simply right now something's got me started how good was this
41:13something got me started you know that i will love you
41:22i think since we've parted i truly know that i need you
41:31come on i'll give it all up for you i'll give it all up for you
41:39i'll give it all up for you i'll give it all up for you
41:51simply right something's got me started don't get me started don't get me started
41:56are you watching this show in bed are you all right because if you are you might confuse the
42:02next bit uh for your own reflection in your own telly apart from the fact it's me and sharing not
