01:19Oh, no.
01:20Oh, no.
01:23Oh, no.
01:24Oh, no.
01:47so
01:48so this the um by water area it's kind of a nice little area no quirky area of the city
01:53like they
01:53got like a lot of bars and everything stay open all night um you know right outside the french
01:58quarter i'm from new orleans i know the city and we definitely don't get a lot of homicides in the
02:04neighborhood what's up bro what do you got yeah so your descendants at the hospital obviously
02:16we got looks to be about five six casings on the grounds um we have video oh so what looks
02:27like
02:27in a car coming up the wrong way uh for gunty kids breaking into cars or could you tell
02:35all right i'm here actually so i'll be getting out coming over
02:42i don't remember the last time i've been in this area but it had something happen like this
02:50all crime scenes are different it was quiet i think because of the area that it occurred in
02:57when we're at a crime scene and the decedent's body is no longer there it just makes it hard to
03:01figure
03:01out what actually happened so we have to be thorough about what we pick up as evidence wow yeah there's
03:08only a few casings um there's clothing keys and something else but it all appears that it belongs to
03:17to him right yeah yeah you saw the video no we already had some footage from a neighbor
03:25the first thing i want to do is look at it this is the this is the one oh
03:32okay now one goes by you see them start walking up
03:38i already see like there's a car coming up the one way and we see some people outside the cars
03:42pulling on door handles kind of checking cars to see what they can get into the decedent comes out
03:47and he kind of confronts them trying to stop someone doing something that they saw that was wrong
03:52and this guy is that's your decedent yeah defer the car okay they shoot him damn then they hit him
04:03it was extremely brutal i felt like it was overkill i mean he was getting shot at the
04:08same time while he was being ran over with the car his name is mr brandon william fees
04:18and he is a white man okay um got it anytime they hit somebody with a car there's damage to
04:28the car
04:28that car gonna get burned man 4161 can you notify homicide of any vehicle fires citywide between 1 a.m
04:38and current present time a witness the lens right down here yeah right right there
04:55sorry i had to come this early um so sorry for what happened so you both were sitting here um
05:04there was a car coming up the wrong way on the one-way street with their lights off
05:10and they had kind of like stopped and like said something and he was like oh no you know
05:16you don't remember what was said or anything like that no i didn't actually even hear any of it okay
05:23do you remember like what kind of car they were in or what color it was i don't feel like
05:27it was an
05:27suv okay it was smaller it's a sedan and dark color okay that's about all i got okay all right
05:35these are definitely the type of cases that will stick to you mr was someone who was a good samaritan
05:40wasn't even from here he was a character you know he joked around a lot and a retired military veteran
05:47you know he was just trying to intervene and stop someone that was doing something that anyone
05:51would think was wrong and uh he ends up losing his life communication 4161 4161 you're still crawling
06:00around right now yeah uh fire department went out on uh a black pontiac gt at cluid and off gala's
06:07overpass at uh 2 30. 10-4 yeah that's like two minutes away
06:17once they tell me that a car was set on fire less than a mile away i need to go
06:21straight there just
06:22to see the vehicle i'm thinking that there's got to be the car anywhere like there's an overpass or
06:28something like that people will burn cars there so they have cover you know like uh concealment you
06:34can easily just like bring the vehicle back there burn it and kind of just leave it because wherever
06:39there's like an overpass no one will be outside what's this uh they bring back here maybe
06:50why the hell is oh look this is it right here
06:57ah yes
07:00and it's not all they burn
07:08well breath's a good thing that amateurs are burning cars so man right door looks unlocked
07:19oh look at that there's mcdonald's receipts finding his car immediately after the crime scene it is a
07:26huge break stuff like this doesn't happen often oh yeah perfect perfect perfect perfect
07:32is there a license plate no the trunk looked like it was damaged looked like they were trying to pry
07:37it open at some point got the vin number the vin number helps identify the vehicle by providing a
07:43make and model it's a number that's really hard to change so instead of looking for a license plate
07:49i normally look for a vin number which helps identify the vehicle pretty quick
07:53the tail lights at least wrap around with that angle so it's not tinted it's not tinted neither is
08:00this i think this is it looks like it uh-huh i knew it you see prints
08:11oh that is a handprint can you uh lift that
08:16now i need to find out where this damn car came from
08:20after crime lab processes the car i'm going to have it told back to no pd headquarters try to get
08:26a search warrant done on it as quickly as possible so i can collect the evidence inside and maybe go
08:31look at surveillance footage two headquarters we go
09:04oh someone sent me a video looks like once the car was told back to the evidence cage
09:10and all through the officer who lived a few blocks from the crime scene sent me surveillance footage of
09:15the perpetrators walking next to the car hooded up wearing masks
09:22looks like the car that was used was actually blue
09:27i need to call command desk
09:33hey this detective store with homicide uh unit 4161
09:38yeah yeah yeah i know um so yeah can you please notify me if there's any other burn vehicles that
09:45wasn't the car so yeah it looks like the card i'm looking for now is blue um this one is
09:51gray
09:58now that i know i've told the wrong car i'm feeling like i'm still at square one so
10:03so so i need to find this car and find it fast
10:06so
10:14so
10:16so
10:26so
10:28so
10:28so
10:44all right bro so i actually have a video that i want to show you this is going to be
10:50the car
10:50kind of slow riding and you can see like the color of it yeah a little bit it's like a
10:55bluish kind
10:56of purple looking car and that definitely has like i see a hyundai emblem yeah i mean we could see
11:01if
11:02they got any color color left on it but i don't look like it nah not that i can tell
11:10no plate nope
11:12i don't see nothing i'm gonna look under here just to make sure though
11:19well let's see if we can get the number off the dashboard
11:23yep here it is oh that's sweet i'm hoping that once he runs the vent it comes back to a
11:28blue car
11:29like a blue hyundai but um if it doesn't then that means it's not the car and i'm back to
11:34square one
11:37what you got bro stolen what color is it blue hyundai oh that is it
11:45um hold on i'm about to pull up the item number real quick wait this thing is for today
11:51the 29th oh so they just reported it stolen yeah our auto theft detective learned that same vehicle
12:00had just been placed out stolen at the fifth district station which is in that same vicinity
12:04where that car was found now i'm going to call the fifth district because i need to find out about
12:09this
12:09car okay so this this this only hit 6 p.m she steps outside her hyundai is gone she knows
12:19right
12:19off the bat her vehicle is stolen so she goes immediately to her cameras and observes that
12:2411 48 p.m the perpetrators approach the the white chevrolet cruise which is the victim's sister's
12:31vehicle while the three subjects were working on that chevrolet cruise someone is like actively
12:38starting up her hyundai elantra which is in the driveway just out of the view of the camera
12:46that chevy cruise they leave like the doors open the inside is ransacked and then right after that
12:51you can see the elantra pulling off this morning the owner associated with that hyundai elantra comes
12:57into the station to report her vehicle is stolen where they um hooded up and masked up in that video
13:02too yeah okay thank you i appreciate that i might be hitting you up again all right all right well
13:08i'll be here till seven
13:23so i'm moving pretty fast on this one found the uh the car that was seen that the perpetrators
13:30were in found out that they were actually breaking in the cars before the murder and they possibly
13:35stole this car like a few hours before the murder happened so once we get license plate reads it
13:41consists us with tracking a car now i'm going to head to the real-time crime center to see where
13:46i can
13:46pick this vehicle up so i just need to keep kind of following like these little breadcrumbs and possibly
13:51i'll get like an idea maybe get like a picture of some footage of them with no mask on at
13:58some point
14:10i know where the car was stolen and there's only a few routes that it can take to get to
14:16the city
14:17so i'm checking all those locations i'm just waiting on them to make a mistake so i can catch them
14:22without a mask on maybe at a gas station or a convenience store or something i'm just gonna um
14:30pretty much try and track this car for now the license plate readers tell me the exact time and
14:35location that the car is detected and a lot of them are hitting the new orleans east i'm already
14:39familiar with new orleans east because i live out there so i know a lot of those spots and everything
14:47boom there it is
14:51right after it's stolen it comes from charbonate makes that left on a saint claude
14:54it starts traveling like towards like it's going across the canal like to the other side
15:02and here it comes right here
15:08so i'm just jump to this camera
15:13they're pulling into the gas station
15:22i'm just trying to see if i can catch them um at some point without face cover on maybe they
15:27you know let their guard down at some point went into a gas station or something
15:31yeah so they come around and then back into a spot
15:36oh
15:45i don't think they get out
15:51damn that was too good to be true
15:55i feel like every detective has its strengths my strength i think is reviewing surveillance
15:59footage and tracking cars if i find out that a car is involved i will sit there i will lose
16:04track
16:04of time i become obsessed with it you know i can track vehicles all over the city and i'll sit
16:10there
16:10for hours to do it
16:17oh yes
16:18where is this going at now
16:20at like three in the morning like an hour after the murder in new orleans east i noticed that the
16:25car comes up the wrong way on the opposite side of the street and is driving towards a gas station
16:30you couldn't see the gas station but i'm familiar because i live out there
16:34so i'm gonna just see how long they were there for see if i can figure that out
16:38if the car is in there this may be coming back up
16:45so here it is it stayed there for about three minutes hopefully i can get footage of them getting
16:51out of the car
16:54it's a huge lead in the case i'm feeling really good about finding who the alleged perpetrator is
17:24it's a huge lead in the case
17:25definitely hit morrison oh yeah yeah i got him on morrison too
17:29they pulled into a gas station i'm telling you it seemed like they were they were riding around
17:33looking for somebody who like left their car running so they can jump in and take it
17:39so this is the gas station when they came out here they cut through here i was like what the
17:44are they doing what time we looking for here i think it's like three three or three a.m
17:53hey how you doing man um who can i talk to about looking at some surveillance cameras
17:59okay yeah so i'm gonna look at cameras five and maybe eight right so they should come from the
18:07top right right if i'm looking at it right yeah they're gonna come straight this way and pull in
18:11okay they go right here hold on that's the car come on get out get out oh no face no
18:20mask oh
18:22who are you and you're gonna come in the store you can see like the damage to the windshield you
18:27see the windshield is kind of smashed the license plate is visible and the driver gets out with no
18:33mask on oh that is beautiful that is beautiful bro great clarity i'm like i got your ass now this
18:41is
18:41sweet i got some distinctive clothes to look for shoes yep shoes oh look at that yeah
18:52good to go
18:55there you go bro okay thank you all we got everything yeah appreciate it appreciate it you too thank you
19:11this is great that's the car that's the license plate it's still on it yeah
19:18bring it to the office and i'm sending a bolo out as soon as i get back to the office
19:22of this dude
19:23i want to check with other detectives other officers to see if they've dealt with this dude if
19:27they know him or give us a name beautiful shot of his face pants has some ugly stripe down the
19:34side
19:34that that they be wearing now he has some shoes some nike shoes on it's perfect
19:53i wasn't his only brother because everybody here who joined in this memorial today was his brother or
20:01his sister he's kind of like the bratty little brother i never had a prankster a jokester he's brilliant
20:09and he has a very unique gift with helping people the first time i met him our neighborhood had flooded
20:18and so he came waiting over in these white shrimp boots like hey y'all y'all good y'all
20:23need any help
20:24he was just a very selfless person like anytime anybody needed any help you didn't even have to ask he
20:31was there he never had a problem standing up for what was right he would get food together and hand
20:37it out to the homeless he would he would buy them things that they needed he'd take them to dinner
20:41in
20:42addition to his military service he had his own organization and he would interview veterans and
20:50record for their legacy to be preserved and you know i have a lot of respect for that he would
20:56go to va
20:56hospitals and say who's in the worst condition who needs the most help and he would do a fundraiser
21:01for that soldier he was just that much of a hero and he carried that mentality everywhere
21:11he would 100 do the right thing no matter what the world has lost a wonderful person
21:40i tracked this car from here all the way to um the 7 800 block of bass street which is
21:47all the way
21:47in little woods down haynes boulevard and the car stays there for about an hour and a half the image
21:52on the left is the image of the guy who got out the blue car and the image on the
21:57right is from an
21:58investigation that the a district was doing in a uh previously um you can see just the same guy
22:03same facial features chin hair eyebrows nose and everything so we we did confirm that that's um cory
22:11boyd donnie williard our newest detective he came over and he was like oh yeah i know that dude he
22:17told me
22:17it was cory boyd and i found out that he was previously arrested in the a district so i'm guessing
22:22he
22:23he goes to burn a car two blocks up from where he lives at right now we have a unit
22:28called v cape
22:30violent crime abatement investigation team they're sitting on a house where he lives so hopefully we
22:36can tie them down to a house it's gonna be a search warrant yeah they're gonna try and take him
22:40down
22:40and get him in custody so i can be able to question him from there he's definitely the driver because
22:45i
22:45tracked the car from the crime scene but um i know that there's two more people or maybe even three
22:51more people who are involved here you can see these guys are just casually walking the big dude you
22:56see what he looked like looked like a damn lineman so i want to head to rtcc though and uh
23:01and make
23:01sure i get all that video downloaded today i'm hoping that i can get video that would show all of
23:07the perpetrators of any of them now i'm going to head to the real-time crime center to see what
23:12possibly transpired before the homicide oh it is 12 30 on a wednesday and there's a second line
23:23passing around nlpd headquarters i love it why i don't know but guess what we can't move right now so
23:32a second line is just a party in the street you can have a second line for anything for a
23:36funeral
23:36for a child bird for a saint's victory super bowl second line is definitely a new orleans tradition if
23:43you see one you know that you're in new orleans right and this ain't new orleans bro
23:58i have this really clear video of the person who was driving a car now i'm looking for more video
24:03maybe somebody got out somewhere else where i can get another description of another person that was
24:08in a car trying to see if i can find him close to the homicide i need something closer
24:16so this is a car coming from being stolen i would love to catch them like going into a gas
24:21station before
24:22the homicide that would be huge um i already have him at one after but like before would be like
24:27then i can say that he was he was there when the homicide happened what's up bro hey bro honestly
24:36i don't think yeah you don't think so yep but that that's his ig right there i sent you all
24:43right
24:43so he posted this photo hmm three hours ago yep you see him with the gun yeah so he got
24:52a gun in his
24:53hand and damn does this dude have on the same clothes that he wore the other night if he's out
25:00there like this i don't think he realized that anybody's even on to him at this point so which
25:06is good that's how i wanted to stay
25:10so
25:22so
25:37Chuck.
25:39Yo, what up, bro?
25:41Hey, what's up, Moe? How you been?
25:42I'm good, bro.
25:43I was calling about your case, man. I saw what you put out.
25:46You saw the video?
25:47Yeah, I saw the video.
25:49Okay.
25:49I mean, even though it's kind of grainy,
25:51that person got a very distinctive walk.
25:53And she resembles a suspect I had worked in several cases.
25:56Okay.
25:57I think that's actually going to be a female.
25:59It goes by the name of Ronesha Gray.
26:02Wow.
26:03Damn.
26:05Yeah, yeah, Ronesha Gray.
26:06Tabby said stocky.
26:08She always dresses up in, like, you know, the latest men's fashion.
26:12I've worked several cases with her.
26:14Multiple violent crimes, carjackings, robberies.
26:18That's kind of her in, Moe.
26:20Man, I definitely would look into it, man.
26:22And Moe, look, you done this long enough, you got to trust your instincts, bro.
26:25Right, right.
26:25Once I get some more video, bro, I'm going to hit you up and let you come in and look
26:29at it for me.
26:31Man, you got it, bro.
26:31Let me know.
26:33At this point, I'm feeling great about the case.
26:35From the video that I have of the homicide, I wasn't that sure that it's a female.
26:40But we got this really good lead.
26:42My next step is I need to get some better video.
26:46I want to be 100% sure that it's Ronesha.
27:16Yo.
27:18What's up, buddy?
27:20What's up, bro?
27:21Appreciate it, bro.
27:22Thanks for the help.
27:23What are we going to do?
27:24So I follow the car.
27:27The car gets off the interstate at about 141.
27:31It hits on the license plate read.
27:33Passenger opens.
27:34Okay.
27:35Female gets out.
27:37So from there, she crosses the street.
27:40She crosses the street right here at Barone.
27:43And then she starts walking straight down the street.
27:46And I'm like, there is no way that this chick is going where I think she's going.
27:51She's walking towards Bourbon?
27:52She went to Bourbon Street.
27:55I do know that they have very good video on Bourbon Street.
27:58And if someone does go on Bourbon Street, that we will find them.
28:03Let's see.
28:04There's a ball camera.
28:05Where?
28:06Right there.
28:07To your left.
28:08Yeah, that's the one I was looking at.
28:09Oh, okay.
28:13How you doing?
28:14Do you have someone in here who operates the cameras?
28:18Yeah, for sure.
28:19All right.
28:21Perfect.
28:22Let me just grab the key.
28:25The front angle?
28:26Yeah, that would be it.
28:27That's the one.
28:28Yep.
28:29Here she comes right here.
28:33Keep coming.
28:38Oh, you son of a...
28:41Bruh, she did not come to the camera.
28:44Oh, she stayed to the side.
28:44She stayed to the side.
28:45Yeah, she did.
28:47Son of a...
28:48She stayed out of the light, too, bruh.
28:49She stayed all the way to the side.
28:52So, thank you, man.
28:53I appreciate it.
28:54Appreciate your time.
28:55Yep.
28:58When video at a location doesn't work out, I try to stay focused and not get down.
29:03I just go out and look for more video.
29:05I mean, that's the only thing that we can do at that time.
29:07How you doing?
29:08And I saw you, but don't care about outside.
29:10I want to know if I can take a look at it and see if you caught a good facial
29:12shot.
29:12Uh, yeah.
29:14This was on the 29th, or something in the morning.
29:18At least about 1.45-ish.
29:21The time's accurate on your camera, too?
29:23We are.
29:26Oh, there she is.
29:27Perfect comment.
29:29Got her.
29:31Casually walking, dude.
29:32Definitely her.
29:32Yeah.
29:35Perfect.
29:36Mm-hmm.
29:37Can we get that footage?
29:39Sure.
29:40Appreciate it, man.
29:41You're welcome.
29:42With pleasure.
29:43I'm extremely excited that I got this video from Bourbon Street because now I'm looking
29:47at that video like, oh, yeah, it's definitely really got your ass, too.
29:51So now I'm thinking that I need to find an officer.
29:56Who can ID this person?
29:59Hey, what's going on?
30:00My brother?
30:00Say, bro, were you asleep?
30:02Oh, yeah, bro, I'm good.
30:03What's up?
30:03Okay, you know I got that video that I want you to take a look at, and I'm just trying
30:06to see when I can get you to take a look at it, bro.
30:10Okay.
30:10So it has to be, like, on record and stuff, if you're going to identify her for me.
30:14Oh, yeah, tomorrow, man, I'm going to be around, moving around, like around, uh, probably
30:17like around 11.
30:1811?
30:20All right.
30:20Perfect.
30:21All right, appreciate it, bro.
30:23I'm hoping that Chuck gets to the office, and he just, from his knowledge and experience
30:27of dealing with this person, that he can immediately identify her as who he thought she was.
30:53What do you do, and scene three, and scene two, and scene three in the next one?
31:09what's up bro my hero appreciate you bro been all right huh yeah you know making it how you been
31:17bro good man just working yeah what you got man um let's see so you'll see yeah okay those are
31:30the
31:30clothes i saw on the surveillance footage all right let me sit down and mess with it a little
31:38you want to sit down yeah yeah i'm gonna pause it and stuff
31:51all right judging by the walk the build and uh what i can see of her face i would say
31:57that's that's
31:58ranisha gray i investigated at least two armed robberies with her over the past four years
32:05watched countless surveillance footage she goes by the street name of bando i mean absolutely okay
32:11cool perfect bro i appreciate it it made both of us very excited about getting ranisha off the street
32:18finally then that's that's ranisha yeah i actually have so here's the video um i don't know if you've
32:26seen a video um of the actual murder but at this point ranisha actually ran and got into the car
32:34so
32:34she wasn't even out of the car when the shooting happened so he's so you'll see he's trying to get
32:42in the car but then bam he shoots him oh oh multiple shots then they hit him with the car
32:48then he runs up
32:50and finishes him off he hits him again in the head boom then he finally gets in the car and
32:56then they
32:56speed off then 20 20 to 30 minutes later she's dropped off at canal street where she goes to bourbon
33:02same clothes so yep yeah that's probably one of the um most senseless ones i've seen in a while
33:12at the time they were definitely coming up on his car so i think mister felt like he was protecting
33:17his property and uh he ends up losing his life this shouldn't have happened but now it's all coming
33:23together and i'm confident with all the uh information that i have what i do know from just
33:29dealing with bando over the years they um she has a relationship with boyd um they've actually
33:35been on instagram together um not quite sure if they're related at this point um but they but they
33:42definitely you know hang out right okay because i have ranisha gray identified and i also have
33:49cory boyd identified now i'm able to put together an arrest warrant for both of them
33:54the third suspect is a shooter he's a smaller person and we have no leads on him yet
34:00yeah well she'll have a she'll have an arrest warrant out for her today okay so all right
34:05well let me know if there's anything else i can do okay all right appreciate it bro all right
34:35yo what up bro
34:43oh really
34:45renisha they got renisha gray in custody where okay so um yeah where was he
34:54okay in lafayette so um all right perfect um listen so uh let me tell you what i need then
35:03uh can you take her cell phone because i'm gonna need that um and that's pretty much it was anybody
35:09else like with her cory yeah it was cory okay no cory
35:16okay all right it's extremely good news that she was captured but we still have a lot of work to
35:24do
35:24with this case now i need now i need cory boyd uh once we get cory boyd then i'm real
35:30close to
35:31finding out who the shooter is but i do need to talk to her so that's cool perfect one down
35:37that's that's huge
35:41i'm feeling very excited because i have two possible uh suspects and i have a really good video of
35:46both of them but i still have one more person out there that i need to find and we will
35:52find them
35:56so
36:02so
36:30Area surveillance, observe two subjects.
36:39And Corey, did he tell y'all his name and everything, or...?
36:43Okay, all right, perfect.
36:47All right, can we go in through here?
36:49All right, cool.
36:52He's in the interview room now?
36:53Yes.
36:54All right.
37:03What's up, bro?
37:04Here you go.
37:06I'm Detective Stewart.
37:07It's my partner Detective here.
37:10I'm gonna do about a few things.
37:13I'm hoping that Cora will just tell me what happened that night
37:17and who all was with him that night,
37:18because we'd only have the name of one person
37:20that was in the car with Cora.
37:21I don't know who the other person was.
37:24All right, have any advice in mind?
37:25Do you wish to speak to me?
37:27What is the problem?
37:29I need a yes or a no.
37:30If you were to talk to me, I'll explain everything to you.
37:33Well, I got a thing.
37:35I'm sorry?
37:35Let me talk to you.
37:36All right, perfect.
37:37So I'm investigating a homicide that happened in a Bywater area
37:41where a dude was hit by a car and shot.
37:43All right?
37:44You'll remember what happened that night.
37:45And look, let me tell you something.
37:47Say, bro, this is what we're not gonna do, all right?
37:51Because I knew you was.
37:53So I need you to keep it a buck with me.
37:54Keep it real with me.
37:56All right?
37:57Tell me what happened that night.
38:00All right?
38:01Just be straight up with me.
38:03All right.
38:04So, listen.
38:05You agreed to talk, right?
38:06Mm-hmm.
38:07So you telling me you wasn't there is not...
38:10That's not...
38:11How do you think we got here?
38:13All right?
38:13We got here.
38:14Dude, I didn't just pull your name out of the hat.
38:16Come on, dude.
38:16There's so much video,
38:18and you're gonna sit up here and tell me you wasn't there when you was there.
38:21Show me the video.
38:22I don't have to show you the video.
38:24Let me tell you.
38:24I already have an arrest warrant for you.
38:26All right.
38:26So if you...
38:27If you gonna play that game, you can play that game.
38:30But if you...
38:32I mean, if you won't keep it real with me,
38:34I'm giving you a chance to tell me what happened.
38:43All right.
38:44Look, I know your MO.
38:45I know what you do.
38:46You breaking cards, right?
38:48I don't.
38:48Okay, you don't do that.
38:49But you said you were doing right where you went.
38:51Right.
38:51So, like, just explain to me.
38:53What is...
38:54What are you talking about?
38:56Like...
38:57Well, I guess for...
39:00Well...
39:01I was...
39:03Yeah...
39:04I got one of them.
39:05I heard it for...
39:07Because she was like...
39:09Let her stop and get in the car real quick.
39:11She was...
39:12She was about to check her car.
39:14I guess she tried to check her car.
39:16So when I came outside...
39:18And...
39:18It wasn't trying to approach her like...
39:20Fighting type of .
39:21And she was like...
39:22No.
39:23She ain't about to do all that.
39:24So boom.
39:25He kept trying to approach her, approach her.
39:26Boom.
39:27Boom.
39:28I just heard her cycle off.
39:29On her side one off...
39:31Like, I wound up a little bit.
39:32That's when...
39:34Like...
39:34I wound up a little bit.
39:35Like, the person ran in front of the car.
39:37When he ran in front of the car...
39:38Mm-hmm.
39:39Like...
39:39I was about to go fast.
39:41I was about to go fast.
39:42And then he just ran in front of the car.
39:43And then I hit him.
39:44And I stopped right there.
39:45And then...
39:45He wasn't moving anymore.
39:46So I was like...
39:48I was like...
39:48I just went around...
39:49And I got to...
39:50I got to...
39:50I got to...
39:52Okay.
39:53When you say...
39:55She tried to get a call.
39:56Who is she?
39:57I don't know.
39:58I don't know.
40:00Bro...
40:01Tell me...
40:01Tell me who I was with you.
40:04What about Renisha?
40:06Hmm?
40:08What about...
40:09Was she there?
40:13You know who we got.
40:14You tell me.
40:16I don't know who we got.
40:17Was she there?
40:18I don't know.
40:19You don't know?
40:21Okay.
40:22Who was the uh...
40:24Who was the other person?
40:25Who was that?
40:26I don't know.
40:27You ain't gonna say no names?
40:29So you gonna take that ride by yourself?
40:31I ain't motherfuckin' like that.
40:33Hmm?
40:35Alright.
40:37Who burned the car?
40:39You don't know?
40:41So it just burned like...
40:42Near your house?
40:44But you don't know who did it?
40:48I need you, bro.
40:49Alright.
40:51You gonna do that?
40:52That's...
40:52That's all good?
40:53You good?
40:53You got a hand?
40:54Alright.
40:55I'm gonna get somebody to take you...
40:56Take you up.
40:58It is frustrating that he didn't tell me who the shooter was.
41:01But I think that in other ways I'll figure it out.
41:05But it was a win because he did tell me his role in the homicide.
41:16Oh, that was just him punching at the table.
41:21Oh, okay.
41:21Yeah.
41:22He had missed a...
41:23Driving a car like I knew.
41:25Yeah.
41:25He had missed a hitting him with the car.
41:27I mean, the video shows it.
41:28I mean, this dude was being shot.
41:30At the same time he accelerated and just hit him with the car.
41:35So he had missed his role.
41:37So...
41:37That's good.
41:38That works.
41:56Appreciate y'all working.
41:58It was good work.
41:58Working hard today, you know?
42:01That was probably one of the easiest interviews I ever had, honestly.
42:20We lost a really good person.
42:24After talking to the family and everything, I learned that Mister, he was a character.
42:28You know?
42:28He joked around a lot.
42:29He loved his mom.
42:31And he was out here trying to stop someone doing something that was wrong.
42:35And then his life gets taken.
42:37So, I mean, that affects everyone.
42:39Not just family, but the whole community.
42:43I'm from New Orleans.
42:45In New Orleans, we look out for one another.
42:50He showed us what New Orleans is really about.
42:52Hey, please.
