00:22in New Orleans a homicide can occur anywhere anytime there's a party going
00:28on one part of the city and it's a homicide on the other side
00:32New Orleans 9-1-1 it's a location of the emergency I'm at the corner of Washington and Magnolia
00:39somebody just got shot in front of my door they're not on the ground right now I think she did
00:46all right officers they'll be dispatched to the location
00:57ma'am ma'am she shot right in the head did you hear any gunshots while you were walking
01:07there's a casing right there right there it's a homicide
01:201627 can you raise a homicide detective for me
01:28driving to a scene definitely the calm before the storm I know I'm going to see a dead body
01:38right now we're headed to Central City homicide by shooting on Washington Avenue right now I don't
01:46have any details just a female shot at the location two spent shell cakes on the scene
01:51and she appeared to have sustained two gunshot wounds Central City is actually the district
01:59where I started my investigation I was a person's crime detective there for about four or five
02:08years yeah this would be considered home to me
02:17gentlemen I am making up so we're just over here theorizing well what we got on scene it's a great
02:22place to do a murder it's like quiet we got no witnesses cameras that we can see four casings we
02:29don't know what caliber yet okay we got some what we think is blood spatter coming from her body
02:33towards the street and then some droplets going like down the sidewalk that way and at least twice
02:39once in the head and then it's in about anybody knows the victim in your family any it seemed like
02:44it nobody on scene yet I don't think robbery it doesn't look like they know it that far
02:49purse is good person staring tight goes all the way down to the curb you can follow droplets
02:59at this time your mind is just kind of racing internally I'm asking myself questions such as
03:05why was the victim there who witnessed this that I want to try to figure out immediately once I get
03:11on
03:11the scene how many gunshot wounds to share I can at least seven hand arm and then you had head
03:20and
03:21then you had some exits too bro okay hey Maurice they got a projectile over here okay it's a lady
03:31hearing that a male and a female were arguing prior to gunshots tells me that this person may have been
03:46close to the victim hey Jill I observed detective Herman to be speaking with two people behind a crime
03:53scene tape in New Orleans this is not that odd for a family to come to the crime scene I'm
03:59thinking
03:59that they may be related to the victim or know the identity of the victim tell them tell them what
04:05the person you're looking for tell me what it look like again short what's her name how do you know
04:11her family what's your relationship you family as well that's my girl that's your girlfriend okay
04:17the male begins to tell me that he believes the female is his cousin how did y'all come out
04:22here
04:22though my girl called me and told me she saw take out here uh-huh and I told her to
04:28come get me real
04:29fast so I could come out here and make sure everything was good after I left from what home she
04:34told me
04:34she was going home so you was with Kayla yeah at what time five twenty or five did you ask
04:41her like
04:41what made her think that's your cousin no I didn't it's New Orleans the male could not provide me any
04:48information about the female Kayla besides her name at this point my suspicions are heightened I think
04:54they're lying to me and I need to speak to them apart what made you think that this was your
05:00friend
05:00somebody told you did no did you know she was going to be in this area no sir so before
05:06you called
05:06your boyfriend did you call Kayla to see if it was Kayla no I didn't call Kayla I've been doing
05:11this a
05:11long time and I'm telling you something that's missing here you just understand that make sure
05:14it wasn't her how long you've been here I've been here for what a couple of minutes and not one
05:20time
05:20have you called Kayla to see if Kayla phone ring so if that is Kayla I'm gonna be like damn
05:26how was
05:28she such a psychic what you're telling me just don't make sense I'm be honest with you for the time
05:34being her and him are not free to leave they are being detained no phone calls or anything I want
05:40to
05:40verify if that's Kayla or not what's going on so guy and a girl come up they say that they
05:50think
05:50it's their cousin Kayla boyfriend goes to work them two split up Kayla and the other girl split up and
05:57she says she's leaving the store over there she see crime scene tape and automatically she thinks
06:01Kayla she said yeah so why would that be your first thought right she hasn't called Kayla she hasn't
06:10text Kayla anything of that nature so right now I have the officers detaining them but I wanted to
06:15see if we could verify if that's Kayla because if that's Kayla to me I got more questions I'm headed
06:20over to detective Stewart they're going through the purse right now we find an identification card what's
06:26the name on it they're going to the headquarters the victim is identified as Kayla Kelly this young
06:35female who's deceased could be a wife could be a sister there's value in her her life I'm an emotional
06:44person so I get attached to pretty much every case that I handle so when I'm interviewing someone I
06:49know has information about a case or about what happened I'm just gonna stick at it I think yeah she
06:55knows a piece they know something yeah they are definitely lying to me they definitely know more
07:01than what they're telling and we need to speak more at headquarters
07:13she's she's in there shivering saying she's cold on one okay
07:23what happened I told you the girl that was killed her name is Kayla did you and Kayla get into
07:31it tonight
07:33and who got into it with Kayla who shot Kayla seven times today is not my first day on the
07:40job
07:51I'm asking you because you involved just as much as in
07:58knowing that this female came to me and said that they believed that this was Kayla I was expecting some
08:05type of remorse but not receiving none everything that's taking place right now I just know that
08:11there's something missing yeah you say this girl Kayla was your cousin but you don't know her last name
08:25I really don't I put that on my shoulder so how did she end up at your house today was
08:30it like an hour
08:31before you went to work you left out to go to work I left out at work around four o
08:36'clock so I can see
08:37you we were sitting outside probably like an hour before you Kayla and your girlfriend y'all are walking
08:47to bring you to work correct what's your manager's name at work man knowing that the male and female
08:54were with the victim is interesting because we have some idea of a time frame of when the victim was
09:00last seen with anyone he's giving me the location of where he works the time that he was there
09:05I'm gonna speak with the manager and verify the time frame that he's giving me as to when he got
09:11to work and when he left work hey how you doing ma'am um this detective Walter Edmond with the
09:18New
09:18Orleans Police Department I was looking to speak to him let me see if someone could take your call
09:23just a second okay thank you for calling we'll be with you momentarily
09:36thank you for holding this is hey how you doing this uh detective Batman with the NOPD homicide
09:41division I'm speaking here with a employee of yours yes he worked for us okay he just told me that
09:48he
09:48was at work today and he had to leave I was just trying to see if I can verify a
09:51time that he came in
09:52in time he left out if possible yeah of course um he came in around 5 p.m and left
09:58probably 7 7 30
10:00he was just in the kitchen working okay and he said he had to leave at some point yeah he
10:06said that he
10:07had a family emergency and needed to leave when he told me he needed to leave it was very off
10:14-putting
10:15he had said something about his brother had shot his girlfriend
10:34it was a very strange I've never had anybody say that to me I was like uh if you're trying
10:40to get
10:40to work this is not the way to do it yeah it's just a very strange ordeal I wanted to
10:45make sure
10:46I brought that up uh appreciate it he didn't say anything the name of his brother but the when
10:51you showed me the contact on his phone it was Earl okay all right thank you so much thank you
11:00so just called right she says tells her dad um my brother just shot his girlfriend I need to
11:08leave I got a family emergency what the yeah and he shows her Earl in her phone and was like
11:17hey
11:17look he just called me her brother oh damn Fife I thought you was a detective no I didn't know
11:22Earl
11:24this is feeling very clearable suddenly yeah I'm about to find Earl right now Earl Michael Simmons
11:32this right here is Earl Simmons I should just start with her see how she react and just show him
11:38the
11:38picture just go in and just shock the yeah talking to someone who's lying to you it kind of motivates
11:46you
11:46to go harder this detective life okay so who's that who's that you're thinking about it too long I think
12:04was he at your house earlier
12:11okay and what happened between him and Kayla this is a point where you sit here and say to myself
12:17let
12:18me be honest because what I need to hide for were you involved in this if you weren't involved in
12:23this
12:23why are you so afraid to speak the truth did anybody hurt my dogs please you asking us about
12:31some dogs and I'm talking about a girl that's dead on the ground yeah you know what you know what's
12:39crazy you think killer parents right now who don't know that their daughter is dead think that means
12:45something to them you think your mom would be caring about dogs right now if it was you
12:50look at how heartless you sound right now come on Kayla means something to somebody too when
12:54detective Evans put the picture down you were silent for about 30 seconds and took deep breaths
13:03all right we here man who was that why are you showing me the picture because Kayla's dead on the
13:11ground that's why I'm showing you this picture who's dealing around Kayla was killed yeah I know that
13:16I printed this picture for a reason who is that what made you come over okay answer my question who
13:23is that I don't know I don't know y'all with all of it but I'm gonna figure it out
13:26tonight there's no
13:28need for us to each other there's no need for you to ask a million questions and say a million
13:32things I need you a simple question okay stop that's some hardly dude you care more about some dogs
13:56then she's just deflecting yeah did she say what happened I was like how is he relevant to this
14:03she's like it's older brother
14:08so the male and female I'm not getting much more from them with the interview so at this point I'm
14:15going to release both of them they'll be free to leave they're not under arrest
14:20I'm thinking Earl could be the shooter so I kind of want to verify if Earl Simmons and the victim
14:27is
14:27Kelly knew each other seeing if there's video surveillance or if there's some connection there
14:33to link all of this together so we don't need to get the video from the peace place what if
14:38all four
14:38of them really did walk him we need to get him on video with her how about you go swing
14:43over there
14:43by the house see if any cameras nearby we work for the people who work for the community so accepting
14:50that case and then trying to find a perpetrator for the purpose of the family having some type of
14:56relief after losing their loved one is why we do this have an address on a mom possibly so we'll
15:04drive
15:04to the east and see if I can make notification with the mom so yeah every situation is different
15:15sometimes the coroner's office may be on homicide scene and they may tell the family but as the lead
15:21detective I do feel obligated that the family is notified I kind of hate that feeling of like if I
15:28was a parent not knowing like you know a whole night and yeah a night a day and then tomorrow
15:33Sunday so they probably wouldn't yeah good Monday so yeah that's uh appreciate the help man it's a good
15:39yeah
16:07hey how you doing Mr. Kelly
16:09yes I'm aware that you have been informed by the coroner's office already of what occurred
16:15yes but first and foremost let me offer my uh condolence to you and your loss to you and your
16:21family thank you um I don't know much about Kayla like I couldn't find much about her I know it
16:27was
16:27she were y'all from here yes and she was a beautician she went to school for it she got
16:35a diploma and
16:36she had already been doing makeup work she was working in the French corner making her faces
16:45when you do come down we'll meet in person and we'll go over the whole case okay thank you very
16:49much
16:53I personally care about Eric Gates
16:56policing is somewhat of a game it's like cat and mouse but I'm pretty good at figuring things out
17:03so the person who committed the shooting in their mind they thought or believed that they would get
17:09away with it and here we are in the middle like nah not so quick
17:17you
17:18you
17:20you
17:20you
17:24you
17:45it was a pretty bad scene people in the area have been saying that a male and a female
17:51were arguing before the guy shot us arrived on scene the victim Kayla was on the ground she had it
17:57been shot multiple times shot in the head it appeared like there were some cases right next
18:04to her body I don't know what type of argument makes you shoot somebody but you know five logical
18:10things are not logical thinking people and now we're about to go to a canvas we're gonna knock
18:15on a couple more doors the night of we knocked on a few doors we'll see if we can get
18:19any more video
18:20and also anybody that may have heard anything they got a lot of cameras in there I know of at
18:26least
18:26two knocking on doors is very tedious but getting surveillance footage it gives you a direction where
18:34the victim and perpetrator may have came from that information is crucial in your investigation if I
18:40can place arrow at the scene I can write an arrest warrant we can just document anywhere they might
18:55see if we can get anybody that might have heard anything at night that we didn't get a chance to
19:00talk to all right that's cool camera for Walt time is 3 58 p.m. no answer ring camera at
19:11location so
19:13sometimes when you go out you knock on the door someone may have an attitude with you or they may
19:17slam the door in your face but I have to do this I need to be doing this because I
19:22never know what
19:22I'm gonna get from it no homicide could be solved solely off of a detective's investigation there has
19:43to be some level of cooperation from the citizens within the city this does not work without the
19:49community I'm curious to know like if you could hear them what was going on with the female what
19:55they normally do is subpoena the camera yeah it's under like your email address or something yeah what it was
20:03what that
20:03would be yeah camera that 26 there's a surveillance camera hi I'm detective Davis somebody was shot and
20:13killed out here on Saturday evening we're just knocking on our door to see if anybody heard anything or saw
20:19anything gotcha thank you I appreciate you she wasn't home when it happened the neighbor text her
20:27when it happened and asked if she was okay and then throughout the conversation told her that she
20:32heard a couple fighting okay at least if he did come down this way I can catch him coming this
20:38way
20:38uh I know we got our RTC camera down that way but as of right now we're good
21:03so you got me out here what we got man caught a case last night we got
21:08RTCC video that shows a homeless man the younger fellow black male dreadlocks approaches him on foot
21:17they have a conversation about something the perpetrator goes to walk away walks about a half
21:23block away and then for whatever reason turns back around walks back up to the victim shoots him three
21:30times on the corner and runs back the same direction he was walking away from the first time okay when
21:38I
21:38spoke to mr. Matthews family and they said that the victim mr. Eddie he was a mechanic he liked to
21:44work on cars after his wife died he kind of took a downturn as far as taking care of himself
21:51and and
21:52wanting to live on the street mr. Eddie never messed with anybody I don't think that anybody can ever
21:59justify why this had to take place probably gonna be from the area you know people around
22:09here usually stay around here so well you know how to go start off with nothing hopefully turn into something
22:15right this investigation has its challenges from the start I don't have a lot of evidence to go off of
22:23the only
22:24thing I have right now is three spent shell casings and the video footage but the viewpoint is a little
22:32far away to really see facial features that camera faces this way okay so we need to go that way
22:39and see if he
22:40goes continues down South Liberty or if he turns off somewhere okay that makes sense all right so I
22:45guess we'll start down here I see RTCC flashing but it's kind of far down I guess probably get this
22:51corner first there wasn't a whole lot to go off on this case it was gonna rely heavily on information
22:58from the neighborhood and from surveillance cameras to track where the perpetrator fled to any cameras on
23:05this side or anything or just no there's nothing on that side um we got the store that's got cameras
23:11okay so he crosses over they go behind this fence for a little bit and you can't because of where
23:17the
23:17cameras at mm-hmm you can't really see what they're doing over here right shoots him three times he went
23:24back that way the same way he walking before oh wow I got this video I got a two different
23:43angles one
23:44shot is from RTCC and I got a store camera which actually captures the shooting really there's a
23:54look like that brother I'm gonna show you so that's my victim here you know get a mail it's gonna
24:01come right here he's gonna walk in front the camera which is great because it's clear shot of his face
24:06so I looked at when he previously got arrested same hairstyle also have like all of his social media and
24:26and yeah yeah look at that gap that's like yeah pretty clear cut as you watch it you can see
24:33like
24:34they're talking to each other mm-hmm the hands gesture you're gonna see yep yelling across the
24:39street yeah and another angle of the video is gonna show he crosses back over the street to walk with
24:44her
24:45okay and it kind of timeline wise the video I have of the story catches back up you can see
24:51it's my victim
24:52she has like a white cap on her head it's the mail she's walking with I subpoenaed the ring camera
24:58footage from the canvas the footage shows Earl and Kayla arguing on the street before the murder happens
25:12so if you look up here by this tree and like this pole like where the mouse is at you're
25:17gonna see the
25:17gunfire it should be coming up soon there you go it's gonna flash there it's gonna be another one
25:23did you see it yeah yeah sure can for you knowing that I have a clear picture of Earl committing
25:32the
25:33shooting it's exciting because now I can make a good case to present to a jury I'm gonna obtain
25:40an arrest warrant for Earl Simmons for a second-degree murder trying to tie up a couple of loose ends
25:45but
25:46definitely I mean I'll probably do the warrant today job detective ever thank you thank you it's a good
25:51start
26:11right now I am waiting for Mr. Earl Simmons to be apprehended by our warrant squad which hopefully
26:21happens soon so we just got a Nibin chart back which is a ballistic chart of the shell casings that
26:30were
26:30recovered from the scene and it looks like my shooting it's related to another homicide that
26:37occurred the same night which I believe is Deesburg's case our ballistics match from both of the shootings
26:47so it's uh so it's uh very likely that we may be dealing with the same suspect I'm realizing that
26:52Earl Simmons possibly committed two homicides in a matter of like four to five hours on the same night
27:00I was shot hello hey James what's up we got a report from Sgt. Barra saying hey you and James's
27:13case the same gun was used in both shootings so our cases match I'm on my way to the station
27:18now we'll sit down and go over the video and then see if they're wearing the same thing it's the
27:22same dude I appreciate it man
27:27I get the report it shows that the spint casings are a match the same gun was used in both
27:33shootings
27:35our shootings happened like four hours apart from each other yeah you have have you looked at my um
27:41volo no let me pull it up
27:46yeah that one oh all right yeah that's that's Earl that's the same suspect that's the same shirt he was
27:55wearing when he did my shooting you have video on yours I have a better frontal video it looks like
28:01the shirt says like Wilts or something on it yeah like in big white lettering that's gonna be the same
28:06oh yeah definitely gonna be Earl the hairstyle the shirt that's the same clothing he was wearing the same
28:12shoes I mean it's four hours apart from each other less than a mile from mine probably yeah his brother
28:19actually lives right around the corner a connection like this is almost unheard of especially in the
28:26time frame that they occurred both homicides being relatively close to each other and the matching
28:31clothing it's rare that's cool so you'll get a warrant from him for your case yeah I'm gonna go you
28:38have RTCC video or stuff yeah uploaded yeah I'm gonna go look at that and uh because I was I
28:44was
28:44back at ground zero after the initial investigation of mine I was trying to figure out like why this
28:51happened to this homeless dude so there's no motive right now none yeah they like meet up and then he
28:57walks off and for some reason he walks back and and shoots the guy and all cool calm and yeah
29:02but
29:03he killed two people in four hours four hours it's wild all right I'm gonna look up your stuff
29:10you the RTCC video yeah I'll go from there all right good luck man all right there's no clear motive
29:16behind both shootings it's kind of cold he appears to be just killing people for no reason so a mile
29:24away from each other four hours apart this is Walt's video footage and then this is my video footage oh
29:35yeah
29:35dude that's the same shirt same shoes same hair that's great this is him right here yeah same dude same
29:45gun
29:45same everything this is definitely breathe new life into my investigation it's arrest warrant time try to find
29:53this guy as quick as we can when officers arrived to the house to apprehend Earl Simmons he peeked through
30:20the door and then ran to the back the two other occupants inside the house came out and they
30:26attempted to lie for him and say that he wasn't there but um right now he's in the interview room
30:32at uh at our office waiting for myself in Deesburg to get there and interview him speak about both cases
30:37that he decides to talk we're gonna at least try pretty excited that we have him in custody right now
30:45so he allegedly killed two people within four hours I mean little to no remorse within him
31:04you got the search warrant signs yeah we're looking for the shirt the shoes I got like the white
31:11stripe on the side yeah pants the gun obviously yeah y'all ready yeah we go in yeah let's do
31:18it
31:18all right so right now we're hoping that we find a murder weapon due to the fact it was used
31:23in two
31:23separate homicides it would be crucial to match the evidence from the scene when we first walk into
31:31the house it is not well kept back of the house looked like a giant dog pen it was bad
31:39living conditions
31:40for a human or a pet being the lead detective you want to make sure that you looked everywhere
31:59I'll go over maybe a place someone else looked or vice versa Deesburg may go over somewhere I looked
32:06it makes it easier having myself and other detectives helping we find a live round on a bed which is
32:24the
32:24same making caliber as the murder weapon but right now we just need to find a gun
32:33not feeling the best that we're going to find a weapon it may be hitting really good or it may
32:38not be
32:39there
32:45could be could be yeah we got it yeah Deesburg shows me the shoe that he found in the closet
32:52which has the nine millimeter gun inside of it from there he just kind of explains to me how deep
32:58it
32:59was tucked inside the closet with the clothing on top of it this could be the murder weapon of the
33:05two
33:05homicides it was tucked in a shoe right in the back corner of a closet that was filled with junk
33:21man well that's why we don't come one one person by themselves you break a team good catch man
33:26excellent fine it's a proud moment finding a gun and hopefully that firearm matches the
33:34ballistic evidence that we have which would put a bow on this case
34:12all right now you are under arrest for two homicide charges
34:24I'm looking to obtain a confession from Earl and this particular investigation we have two
34:29shootings where we clearly don't have a motive yet I hope that he acknowledged what he did
34:33to inform the family so let them know why this happened
34:36Caleb who's your girlfriend I know I'm gonna be girlfriend boyfriend I was hoping I was really
34:44hoping so why'd you kill her what the you mean why did I kill her stop doing that didn't kill
34:49her
34:49well let me explain this to you right so come on man the gun that's stuffed in the shoe in
34:53the closet

35:33clearly shows his face and what he's wearing we have the evidence to prove that he did this
35:40tell me that's not you you can't tell me that's not you
35:45what they got to do with any type of murder scene is that you what does that have to do
35:49with any type of murder scene is it you you didn't answer my question I know it's not okay who's

36:15so I'm working on investigation later on that night at MLK in South Liberty
36:22they're not a storm yeah some guy got killed on the sidewalk I more or less want to know why

36:36house I don't even know y'all talking about y'all coming and meeting with y'all so I'm asking
36:41questions just like y'all asking questions it's not gonna look great when they're done this test
36:45fired and the cases come back and it's in the house with you that's not my game and I know
36:49your
36:49brother wasn't there because I already got video from him at work I guarantee you you're gonna find

37:11the
37:11court he was supposed to go to court but he didn't go Mr. Simmons yeah Mr. Simmons Mr. Simmons
37:39he picked up the table okay and tossed it around so we're gonna move his handcuffs to the back and
37:44get him transported
37:45I could have just stayed if I really felt like that
37:48hey man let's try to relax for one second
37:51relax what you mean relax come on turn up
37:53man come on man take these cops off
37:55come on y'all got me on a homicide for what
37:58I ain't even do this
38:01I'm telling you I ain't doing your blood now listen man
38:03this is what we're saying this ain't
38:05do it the right way bro don't do that
38:08don't flash out of here like that
38:10don't know what you're saying that ain't gonna help you you see what I'm saying like
38:13man come on this is crazy bro come on
38:18Mr. Simmons realized that he was on the hook for both of these murders and I think that
38:23obviously upset him
38:26man come on let's go
38:28you understand what we said we have evidence to support your arrest
38:31you don't know the whole story you're the one that has parts of the story it's up to you
38:35evidence to support my arrest what evidence
38:38Earl Simmons was kind of on a rampage and allegedly a very violent person so our homicide
38:45unit we were excited to know that we got this person off the street he even
38:49acknowledged that it was his girlfriend yeah dude yeah I don't know why he killed
38:52these first guy he's really random but it's like I mean you got a four-hour window same
38:56area general area yeah dude yeah two blocks away good deal man
39:17right now Earl is uh in jail um he's booked on two counts of second degree murder and right now
39:26we're just waiting for the court process to begin Kayla's dad has just made it into town
39:32I'ma go and speak with him inform him about the case and kind of go from there
39:40how y'all doing gentlemen how are you this is Kelly yeah fine excuse my seat yeah you're good sir
39:47all right so let's say y'all land on everything kind of going on and everything about Kayla's case
39:54right now all right okay so yesterday we made an arrest um the gentleman that we arrested was Earl
40:01Simmons um things that I do know about the case is that Kayla and Earl were walking we spoke to
40:10witnesses who stated that they heard arguing yes and then they heard gunshots after the shooting he
40:19walked away mm-hmm and we later learned he actually committed another homicide about four hours after
40:27the shooting week Kayla we searched the house that he was in yesterday we got a confirmation that today
40:35that the weapon that we found in his house was linked to the shooting well both shootings my goodness
40:42it is the murder weapon so we do have that as well every homicide detective wants to solve the case
40:48it
40:49is great to give that news to the victim's family but it's also great to just get a murderer off
40:53the street we did
40:55interview Earl yesterday as well um he acknowledged that he knew Kayla but he wouldn't give a reason as to
41:01why
41:01the shooting but his gun wraps him up with it the gun is linked to the shooting that's correct the
41:06gun that
41:06we got out of the house yes so we may never know exactly why this occurred but at least we
41:12can have
41:13some type of closure to know that the person who is responsible for this is where he needs to be
41:18and
41:18I've heard how long it takes some time to have a case closed this was quick honestly for us this
41:24can't
41:24happen without the work of the community right so even if it's like small information so I'm glad even
41:32though you used to work here you were a police officer here correct right so it's good to know
41:38that the community was able to help yeah I think with mr. Kelly's history of working with the police
41:43department and seeing that there were so many cases that probably went unsolved now that he lives out of
41:48the state he's able to come back and feel like it's even better and I think the city of new
41:53homes is constantly growing to be a better place I'm so glad that I got guys like yourself and others
41:58in there to be able to handle this where y'all handle it that morning I said they gonna call
42:03us yeah
42:04that's crazy and you called keep up the good really thank you so much
42:22I feel the justice for Eddie Matthews and Miss Kayla came through the collaboration between myself and
42:30Detective Edmund this is a good example of seeing a homicide investigation to the end and giving the
42:37family the answers that they deserve and that they need for closure I personally enjoy my job and
42:44what I do stop stop stop babe I'm from the community of the city of New Orleans I wanted to
42:50be better I
42:51wanted to be great I think everybody else around us want the same thing if we just keep fighting the
42:56good fight at some point the good outweigh the bad
