00:01It targets the stimulation of collagen under the skin which helps to improve the elasticity,
00:08it gives smoother skin, it helps with fine lines and wrinkles as well as firmness of the skin.
00:16We combine microneedling with mesotherapy cocktails because the open channels
00:22are a pathway for antioxidants and these vitamins to get under the skin and penetrate
00:27causing hydration, rejuvenation of the skin and smoothing out the skin.
00:35Pretty much anybody in good health with good skin can be a good client. When I say good skin,
00:42I mean someone with not active acne, no active eczema or psoriasis, no skin lesions,
00:49nobody that's immunocompromised. Unfortunately, this treatment is not meant for anybody with HIV
00:55or hepatitis C. So when we are doing our medical history in our consultation, we determine who
01:02the right client is for this treatment.
01:08You want to ensure that your provider is a licensed professional and holds a certification
01:14for offering microneedling. You also want to make sure that when you come into the clinic,
01:18you see that it's an environment that looks clean and safe for the procedure to go ahead as this is
01:25a
01:25clean procedure. You also want to make sure that your provider is able to answer all of your questions
01:31and your expectations are met at the end of your treatment.
01:36So for microneedling, we usually recommend about three to six treatments depending on what skin issue
01:44we may be treating. Some treatments may have to be longer. However, your clinical provider will guide you
01:52during your consultation to help you come up with a plan. Treatment should be about one month to 45 days
02:00apart. In some instances, you could go every 60 days if needed.
02:07This treatment is minimally painful as we do apply numbing cream prior to the procedure and leave it
02:15on for a good 20 to 30 minutes. However, it can be a little uncomfortable at certain points on the
02:22face.
02:26Microneedling results happen two to four weeks after the treatment. So this is when we can expect to see
02:32full results of the treatment.
02:37After having a microneeling session, we want to ensure that we're not washing our face up until
02:41the next day. However, you can apply moisturizer or hyaluronic acid on your skin throughout the night as
02:48needed. We also request that for 48 hours you are not wearing any makeup on your skin, only sunscreen.
02:56It can be tinted sunscreen that is fine, but that will be the only thing. We want to avoid
03:02all activities including hot yoga, pilates, gym workouts for at least 48 hours to ensure that no
03:11infections occur. We also want to avoid wearing any active ingredients, any kind of retinols,
03:18vitamin C's or any peptides that you're using at home for at least one week after your treatment.
03:26During your consultation with your clinician, your clinician will understand what your concerns with
03:32your skin are. Everybody has different concerns. This is a very customized treatment and we will choose
03:40cocktails accordingly. Sometimes we're doing PDRN with hyaluronic acid for some clients. Sometimes we're
03:48doing skin repair. There are so many cocktails out there, over a hundred, and sometimes your provider
03:55will be mixing them to give you the best outcome according to what your needs are.
04:03So when we're doing microneedling, we want to ensure the safety of our clients even though it's a
04:10minimally invasive procedure. We start by washing our hands as clinicians. Then we will cleanse the client's
04:17skin. Then we will apply numbing cream as well. After this, we will triple cleanse the client's skin
04:25and then we will begin our microneedling procedure.
